Tournament (2)
Lihua looked into the Chen place and there was no one in sight of the spider. She moved the spider to Jian and Olivia's bedroom to see the two of them lying still in their beds groaning. The blanket was on the floor with their clothes as the two of them lied next to each other groaning in pain. Their bodies were sweating and red from the poison burning them from the inside out.
Lihua then looked in on the servant's quarters to see that, they too, were infected with the poison and were lying still in their bed. Lihua controlled the spider to go back to the Master's house and hid itself in Jian and Olivia's bedroom. It was to send her a signal, if there were any movements. The spider obeyed Lihua and spun it's web in the corner of the room.
"Lihua." Takeshi said softly bringing her back to her body. "Sora is fighting."
Lihua's eyes fluttered and she sat up straight as she watches Sora jumps from his seat and lands on the stage in the middle of the arena. His opponent, a tall buff man with curly blonde hair and over grown muscles that came from Meya Country. Not knowing if the muscles were for show only or for his use, Lihua sits up straighter to see the fight.
"Sora will end this quickly." Takeshi said as he stared at the two. He already could tell the outcome of the fight with one look.
After bowing towards each other and the referee, Sora took out his sword and swung it, creating five qi strikes that flew towards the other man. The man was strong, but he was slow. When he dodge the qi sword strikes, he was able to dodge the first three strikes, but was hit with the last two strikes, pushing him back and damaging his inner qi core. Not even waiting to see if his qi attacks hit his opponent, Sora closed in on him and slashes his sword into the man's chest and abdomen.
A spurt of blood could be seen gushing out of the cut. Sora attacks again, this time with his inner qi, using his other hand as he punches the man where the cut was made. The wound rips open as his organs fall out on to the stage. His intestine unravels as his organs falls out one by one. Killing him instantly as he blood gushes down with his organs, hitting the stage and creating a huge mess.
Upon seeing the gruesome sight, some people scream in horror as some people cry out in entertainment.
"Winner, Sora Lei-Rye of Bido Kingdom." The referee shouted.
"Our grandson can be really ruthless." Takeshi whispers to Lihua.
"I've seen worst." Lihua tells him.
The fighting sequence that Sora executed came from her own mind and experience. She taught all her children and grandchildren how to fight and kill efficiently and quickly thanks to her job as a poison assassin. She made sure that all her children and grandchildren knew how to fight and kill with ease.
She was a poison assassin, someone who wasn't suppose to have a family, someone who was suppose to walk a lonely road due to her profession. However, the Lei Clan granted her marriage and with the help of her Master, she was able to have a family. To pass down her skill and knowledge to her family was her greatest gift.
"He is from my blood after all." Lihua said as Sora exits the arena to go sit down again with his cousins.
"How were the Chen's?" Takeshi asks.
"In pain." Lihua tells him. "Everyone is in bed, sweating and groaning from the burning."
"Good." Takeshi said. "Maybe it'll lure Akira out from the hole she's hiding from."
"I hope so." Lihua agrees.
They go back to watch the fight a in front of them and cheer on their Cara Country participants.
"This year's Cara participants are pretty good themselves." Lihua says out loud.
"They hope to prove themselves and win a place to go to Phantom Mirage." King Nao tells her. "King Takeshi will decide who he will bring with him."
"Ahhh." Lihua said understanding. "Is it like that for the other countries and kingdoms as well?"
"Usually, they already have chosen who will go to the Phantom Mirage. Usually the winner is allowed to pick two to three people he or she wants to bring, then the rest were chosen by their delegate or elder." King Nao tells her. "But with us, since Takeshi is the winner, he'll get to pick and choose who he wants to bring. Our Cara martial fighters are using the tournament to show King Takeshi their worth."
"No wonder they are more rulthless than usual." Queen Yuki said as she observed the fights.
"Yes well, the opportunity to go into the Phantom Mirage only comes once every 20 years and unless they are young geniuses, they would only be eligible to go once in their lifetime." King Nao tells her.
"Or get picked as a teacher or an elder." Yuki interjects.
"Well with the survival rate of those who goes into the Phantom Mirage being low, a once in a lifetime statement is mostly true. Those that come out of the Phantom Mirage don't want to go back unless they have to." King Nao tells her.
"Well this time they have King Takeshi going." Queen Yuki said.
"Yes, but just because he's going doesn't mean he's obligated to save every Cara martial fighter. They know the risks when they joined the tournament to go into the Phantom Mirage. As his brother, I would have to be selfish and say I would rather King Takeshi live than have him die from trying to save a Cara martial fighter. As a King, I would say it would be an honorable death that he died saving his people." King Nao confessed. "But I am a selfish King. King Takeshi means more to me than any Cara martial fighter. That is just a fact. His life means more to me than all of them combined."
"I won't die so easily King Brother." Takeshi interjects. "So can we stop talking about the possibility of me dying? My Lady Wife is getting upset."
Lihua wanted to scoff at his last lie of her getting upset. The words he should have used was, 'As if his Lady Wife would let him die so easily.'
