Second Chance Life

Lihua opens her eyes and all she sees is darkness.  She is surrounded in darkness, but she could hear the dripping of water close to her.  She could feel the dampness in the air and her body hurt like hell.  Every part of her body hurt so much.

"Ugh."  Lihua groaned.  "Is this hell?  Is it because I killed so many people that I came here?"

"You're awake!"  The voice in her head cheered loudly.  "You're finally awake!"

"Stop shouting!" Lihua said out loud.  "I can't see you, show yourself!"

"You don't understand." The voice said. "Your soul is in my body."

"My soul? Your body?" Lihua said in confusion.

"I died and your soul came to replace my soul in my body."

"So I'm not dead?" Lihua asked the voice in her head.

"Well yes, you are, but not exactly."

"What do you mean?"

"You must have died to be able to possess the body of a dead person. So yes, you did die, but since you have transmigrated into my body, you are alive."

"So it's like a second chance for me." Lihua said as she soon realize her situation.

"Yes!"  The voice said. "However I am soon fading and I need to ask you for a favor, now that you possess my body."

"A favor?"

"Please! You have to help me get revenge so my soul will not become a angry wondering ghost!  Let me show you what happened in my life so you will understand my grievances."

Soon, Lihua could feel the consciousness of another mind in her brain.  The sharp pain penetrated in to her mind and left her in a blind white light. Soon after, all of Young Miss Lihua's memories pushed its way into her mind.  Grandma Lihua saw the mistreatment that Young Miss had gone through.  She saw her sadness and loneliness through neglect.  She saw her hopeful happiness with her sisters for a year and she saw their betrayal.  Grandma Lihua felt Young Miss's life was pitiful and felt like she owed it to Young Miss to fulfill Young Miss's request.  It was an easy thing to do considering Grandma Lihua is alive due to the death of this Young Miss.

"In exchange for giving me your body and letting me live a second life. This grandma promises to fulfill your last wish and take revenge on those who wronged you. To the littlest disagreement to the biggest betrayal, this grandma promises to pay them back tenfold so your soul can rest in peace." Grandma Lihua promised the young Lihua. "This grandma has already lived a life full of hardship and knows the sweet taste of peace, so this grandma isn't afraid to let them know what Lihua Lei's true colors are! This old grandma will show them not to mess with Lihua Lei!"

"Thank you!" The voice cried.

"Go young one.  Go and be at peace.  This Grandma will make sure they suffer a fate worst than death." Lihua said.

Soon she felt the presence of the Young Miss disappear.  Groaning in pain, she used all of her strength to sit up.  Pushing herself up, she was able to lean her body against the cave wall.  Lihua closed her eyes and concentrated on centralizing the poison in her body.  Seeing that the most concentration of the poison started from her heart, she then followed the poison's path up her chest and neck and finally stopping when it hit her brain.

Knowing where the poison spread in her body she then check her dantians to see if any of them were affected by the poison.  The only place that the poison affected was the third eye dantian.  The poison had seeped its way into the third eye danian and contaminated it.  Knowing this, Lihua knew what poison it was.  It was the Crimson Heart Poison that they fed Young Miss.  How heartless of them to feed her this poison.  To sit there and watch the Young Miss drink the poison everyday for a year while pretending to be her friend.  It gave Grandma Lihua more determination to get revenge on the Lei Clan.

Lihua concentrated on collecting the qi around her and absorb them into her body to strengthen herself.  At the moment, she did not have enough power to dispel the poison in her body.  Lihua shut her mind to everything around her and cultivated.

By the time she woke up from cultivation, the sun was beginning to go down again. However there was enough light for her to look around her surroundings.  She realized that they servants left her in a cave.  The dripping noise came to her left so she slowly got up and made her way towards the dripping noise hoping to find the source and hoped it was water that she could drink.

Using the cave wall to help her stand up and guide her deeper into the cave, Lihua walked in silence and in darkness as she kept walking forward towards the constant dripping noise.  Soon the cave opened up into a big cavern.  In the middle of the cavern was a large lake that glowed with a blue light, lighting the whole cavern up.

Lihua made her way down the hill and when her feet reached the steady ground.  Lihua ran towards the water source with out a second thought.  She tripped and stumbled on her way there, but she didn't care. The lake was clean and it was calling her name as she reached the shore.  On all fours, Lihua cupped the water with her hand and drank the water.  The pure, clean, crisp taste of the water filled her instantly, making her tired body feel refresh.  The bruises that were on her body were instantly gone.  Her mind  that felt foggy and slow, now felt as if her mind became stronger.  Her eyes, sharper.  Her nose, more sensitive.  Her hearing, clearer.  Lihua drank another hand full of the clear water, then another and another.  In the end she drank until her belly was full of the magical water and her body felt like it was on a heavenly cloud.

It was then that she finally took a good look at her new self.  The reflection that she saw back was of an 18 year old girl.  She had black hair that was messy, so Lihua took the hair pins out from her hair and placed them aside.  Her front hair fell short, just below her chin, while the back of her hair was long, so long it reached her butt.  Her eyes were a strange dark forest green, that she has never seen before.  Where her third eye resided on her forehead, showed the evidence of poison that Young Miss was fed. From her third eye, the poison reached out towards her eyes like a mask.  It's black poison markings, marked itself over her eyebrows in flames, dragging itself to both sides of her head and touched her hairline, before coming down her high cheek bone then back up and connected across the ridge of her nose. Faint hints of red could also be scene between the black markings.  The black poison markings looked like a dark butterfly's wing on her face, masking her true features.

Lihua tried to rub the poison markings off her face with water, but the heavenly miracle water did not work that way.  Lihua looked at her other features and saw a small straight nose and pouty red lips.

"Hot damn, this grandma is beautiful."  Lihua said to herself.  "This grandma has the softest, unblemished skin, this grandma has ever seen or touched."

As she touched her face with her soft hands.  When she saw her soft and smooth hands, she rubbed her hands together in disbelief.

"Haha. This grandma could have been the start of wars and the endings of cities!"  Lihua laughed louder.  "With the poison marking on my face, my beautiful features are hidden behind it. Because of it, I would be considered disfigured."

Lihua made her way deeper into the lake one step at a time as she wanted to take a bath.

"No matter. This grandma already knows what it feels like to be loved by the love of your life.  This time, this grandma will play as hard as I want and as loud as I want.  This second life will be live to its fullest so Young Miss will move on in the afterlife and not stay an angry ghost."

Lihua swam through the lake from one end to the other enjoying herself.  She could feel her body getting stronger and stronger with each stroke through the water.  When she finally felt bored of swimming, she got out of the water and took off her clothes and wrung the water out of them before hanging them up with the help of the huge boulders that was beside the lake.  Taking the butterfly hairpin and the orchid hairpin, she made her way around the lake exploring her surroundings.  When she reached the other side of the lake, she was able to see a small wooden hut, a fire pit and a small pond.

With two hair pins in her hands, Lihua made her way towards the hut.  Her eye flicked back and forth between the hut and it's surroundings.  She steadied her heart rate and listened to make sure there was no one there with her.  As she made her way towards the hut, she opened it slowly.  The hut looked abandoned with a thick layer of dust covering every inch.  It was a simple hut, a table with two chairs, a desk with books and a bed in the far corner.  There was a cabinet next to the bed and Lihua opened it hoping to find some clothes.

Although it was a little bit dusty, it smelled clean.  The white set of clothing, looked too big, however the moment she put it on, the clothes shrank down to her size.

"Huh?" Lihua said as she pulled the shirt off again. And saw it grow back into a man's size shirt, but when she placed the shirt over her body again, it shrunk to fit her body.  Seeing how it didn't hurt her in anyway, she put on the pants, which then shrunk as well.  Lihua made her way back out the door when she suddenly stopped.  In front of the hut, right above the little pond was a man.  The man was dangling from the cave, next to the cave wall filled with thick green vines.  A golden chain with over grown vines twisted itself through the chain.  Lihua could see the chain wrap around his neck and hands.  His feet were also chained and thick green vines also had wrapped itself around his body and covered most of his face.  Making it seem like he and the cave wall lined over grown vines were one.

What surprised her the most, was the large silver eyes that were staring back at her.
