Phantom Mirage (2)

The first thing Lihua saw was the blinding light of the sun.  It's bright rays hit her face, making her squint her eyes as her hand up to block the sun.  As her eyes adjusted to her surroundings, she realizes that she was laying down on the ground.  Her bag that she carried had cushioned her back.  Her sword laid next to her as her veil had come off.  She sat up and searched around herself to look for her veil, but she could find nothing.

Lihua had arrived on the beach on the Phantom Mirage.  The blue ocean in front of her reached so far out that all she could see was water.  Behind her stood the forest, its dark shadows waved along with the waves of the ocean, making it seem like it was alive.  Lihua knew she was out in the open, staying on the beach.  She would be a target, not only to the beasts that lived there, but to the participants who didn't care for alliances.  If she died by the hands of other's it could only be blamed by the beasts who live there and the circumstance of her going into the Phantom Mirage.

Lihua grabbed her sword and put it in the scabbard that hung around her waist.  She took off her bag and her robe.  Opening her bag, she found her daggers that she brought and strapped them to her wrists and her legs.  Once she finished, she puts on her robe and her bag back on and pushes her qi into her lions and monkeys.  She would send them out into the forest to scout ahead of her while cultivating qi for her as well.  She called out her tiger to walk beside her and her butterfly to be her eyes above her.  She took out the red arm band and wore it on her right arm.  As her animals broke off in pairs, one lion and one monkey in pairs, she too, made her way into the deadly forest.

As she entered the forest, a pressure of pure and natural qi surrounded her.  The natural and pure qi was the fines qi she had ever felt.  Her animals started cultivating, gathering as much natural and pure qi as they could.

Next she pushed her qi into her blue bear, calling him out.  With a roar he stretched his body as he adjusted himself to his surroundings.  Her blue bear would watch her back as she traveled, she didn't want any surprises when she traveled.  Having all of her basis covered, she finally walked further into the forest.

The forest was quiet, as if it was watching her.  She felt as if the forest was watching her.  She walked for a couple of hours, mentally linking to her animals to see which way was the safest.  She also sent an order to try to find any medicinal plants on their scouting.  One of her monkey's suddenly stopped as it felt a huge pressure of evil qi in front of him.  He slowly made its way towards the evil qi and saw an open field in front of him.  He quietly watched as a pack of 200  wolves the size of horses surround two people.  The wolves out snarl and take turns trying to bite their target.  The two bloody bodies still stood with strength, however with their back to each other and the 200 wolves they knew there was no way out.

Looking through the monkey's eyes, Lihua saw that the two people fighting were her people.  One was Xin and the other was Dai.  Lihua immediately activated her swiftness and ran towards Xin and Dai.  She commanded her animals towards the wolf pack for back up.  The animals that were closest arrived first and began fighting their way towards Xin and Dai.

When the lions scratched the wolves they fought, their skin would start melting off their bones.  With every bite from the monkey's the wolves would age, making them weaker by the second.  Her injured animals would bleed, but they would bleed poison, not blood.  No matter how much the wolves bit and clawed at them, the lions and monkeys would get back up and start fighting again. Their life was tied to Lihua, making them invincible as long as Lihua was alive.

However each time the wolves bit into the lions and monkeys, they would become more poisoned than before.  The poison would spread faster within the wolves the more they fought back.

Upon seeing the lions and monkeys, Xin saw a ray of hope.  His mistress was near by and was on her way to help them.  But he also worried for her safety.  He couldn't be the reason why she was hurt or killed.

"My mistress comes!"  Xin yells at Dai.  "Lady Lihua will be here soon to help!"

Dai nodded his head as he fought the wolves in front of him.  Although he felt a little bit of hope, he couldn't understand how one person would be able to help them fight off a pack of 200 wolves.  He saw the commotion to his right of other animals fighting the beastly wolves, but he didn't pay it any attention.  What was in front of him was all that mattered.

As Lihua finally broke through the line of the forest into the open field she ran towards her lions and monkeys that was able to break through the wolves defense.  She infused her qi into all of her animals on her body, emptying several dantians in her body.  Her phoenix cried out in rage as she flew out.  Her fire rained down onto the wolves, burning their pelt as her poison seeped down into their bodies, burning them from within.

Her blue bear had finally caught up to them and bulldoze it's way into the pack, fighting and protecting Lihua's back.  With every scratch and bite from her tiger, each wolf fell down.  It's paralyzing poison reacting instantly as the lions and monkey's killed them.  Her butterfly kept watch on Xin and Dai as it flew towards them.  Hovering above them to keep watch on their surroundings.

When Lihua pushed more of her qi into her dragon, she had used up half of the qi in her dantains.  Lihua and her animals had made a dent in the pack of wolves, but she had to get to Xin and Dai soon.  She could see their bodies were wounded and tired.  She couldn't afford to see them die in front of her.

Her black dragon roared out as it flew out of her.  Lihua cried out in pain as she felt as if it took a part of her soul with him.  The huge dragon flew towards the other side of Lihua and attacked the wolves closest to Xin and Dai.  He blew his golden fire at the wolves, burning them into a crisp.  Again and again, any wolves who tried to come close to Xin and Dai, he would breath his fire on to them, killing them instantly.

Xin and Dai made their way towards Lihua and her animals.  Slowly but surely, the pack started thinning out, the Alpha of the wolves, refused to retreat.  Even in the face of his own life, he ran into the fray aiming at Lihua.  He could feel her power and knew she was the most dangerous human there.  He sneaked his way between his wolves as he came up behind Lihua.  Within the group of wolves, he sprang towards Lihua's back.  His teeth bared in anger as he snarled at his prey.

"Lihua!" Xin yelled, forgetting proper etiquette to call his Mistress.  His heart stopped as the largest wolf attacked his Lady.
