The End Of Zha Warudo
We found out that this man's name was Terrance D'Arby and he was the other guy's younger brother and then he started shit-talking his brother for having to cheat to win, and yet, he still failed.
He took out his Stand and Jotaro stepped forward, about to beat him up, but the man somehow predicted his moves, said them out loud, them dodged the attacks, before dragging him into a trap.
Joseph and Kakyoin used their Stands to try to get Jotaro out of there, while I leaned over, as Lilium caught his hand, but we were all pulled in the black hole trap, as Joseph yelled at the others to set the mansion on fire if we didn't escape in 10 minutes.
We found ourselves in a weird place on a sort of fabricated island, while Jotaro told us to solve the mystery of how D'Arby could predict his moves.
He was vague and didn't want to answer any of our questions that were of help in any way, so he challenged us.
Before he showed us his super creepy cupboard filled with creepy dolls that had the souls of the people he defeated inside them.
It was so fucking creepy, it creeped out all of us, really.
What a pervert.
We were about to fight him, but pulled off the "Mystery-trick" card and showed Jotaro that his arm was in danger, and if he were to die, Jotaro would suffer too.
So...We challenged us to...Play games.
"Yare Yare...No choice but to stay at your pace, huh? True as it is, you're gonna regret ever tricking me, D'Arby." Jotaro threatened with rage.
"I would be absolutely tickled if you said 'I will play a game and bet my soul'. However, the first to play will be...Kakyoin. You're up first." D'Arby smirked at him, but I stepped forward, shielding the boy.
"No. I will be your first opponent. Be it as you will, but the reason he's wearing sunglasses is to protect his eyes because of an accident that affected his eyes. He could go blind if he strains eyes in front of a computer. I would know, since I'm a Med student and I personally tended to his wounds. What do you say, D'Arby?" I spoke firmly, hoping it would suffice.
"Fine by me! My, that's even more entertaining!" he clapped, looking at us with the same perverted smirk.
"Hey, what gives? I should be the first to beat your ass." Jotaro pointed at D'Arby with angry confusion.
"You and Joestar are related by blood, and as such, share no relation to either Kakyoin or Katrina. If I succeeded in taking your souls, and Kakyoin or Katrina decided not to attempt to win them back, they may choose to attack me with their Stand." he explained as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"You're really full of yourself. You talk like you won already." Joseph said, but I merely scoffed.
"Well, whatever you want. I've already had my soul taken away once, what's a 2nd time? Besides, you don't know Jotaro the way I do. He's gonna beat your ass into oblivion and you'll thank him." I smirked condescendingly.
"Hey, Katrina, don't do anything rash!" Joseph tried to stop me, but I merely shook my head.
"Hello? Have you forgotten that I'm a super lazy introvert who never leaves the house and plays video games all day? You never won against me, Grandpa. I don't intend to let some perv beat me now." I flashed him a confident smile, before I scanned the games, before choosing the newly released Street Fighter game. "Very well, D'Arby. I challenge you to a game of Street Fighter...I bet my soul!" I spoke with as much feign confidence I could muster, looking straight into his eyes.
"Kat, you've never been a competitive person! Please, be careful!" Joseph came behind me, putting his hands on my shoulders.
"...It has to be done." I muttered, putting the game in the console.
"You don't have to go first." Jotaro spoke up, but I shook my head.
"No, I have to. Out of all of us, I'm the most confident in your ability to analyse anything about fights, cheating, strategies, Stands, and so on. Sure, I have my instincts that I follow, but you have a certain shrewdness that I have only in the medical field. That's why I go first, to give you the opportunity to analyse everything going on. I trust you with my life and soul. D'Arby! Do we have your word that if you lose, your Stand will let go of Jotaro's arm?" I spoke with fire, as usual, but he merely went to the cupboard, opened a drawer and revealed a poorly made doll of myself, which made me cringe. "Do I really look that ugly in real life?!" I freaked up, shuddering in disgust.
"Of course not." Kakyoin replied, making me sigh in relief.
"There's nothing wrong with the TV, console or game cartridge. You could find this video game anywhere in the world." Joseph declared after using Hermit Purple on the electronics.
"Do not confuse me for my brother. I shall not cheat. Now, let us begin." he said, putting in his own game.
"Sure." I muttered, tying my bandana better so my fringe wouldn't get in my eyes, then raised my legs in a lotus position on the chair so I'd sit better, just like at home.
"For starters, Ladies first. Do you want to play with Ken or Ryu?" he asked, letting me choose my character first.
"Ken." I declared, choosing my character.
"Very well, then I shall get Ryu" he spoke slurry, which made me roll my eyes.
"Enough talking, let's start. The first one to win 3 matches wins." I spoke, cracking my spine and my knuckles before fully focusing on the monitor in front of me.
"The fight will begin in 5...4...3...2...1! Fight, Start!" the game said in the generic voice.
We started using combos after combos, jumping, crouching, dodging, parrying.
I didn't have to look at the controller, I already knew every move that would combat either character, I knew all weaknesses, all strengths, every amount of HP lost with each type of hit.
"Hadoken!" I spoke out without realising, as I shoot the energy ball at Ryu, before jumping away from any hit...But he dodged it. "Shoryuken! Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku!" I spammed and spammed, this time, managing to beat him.
"Nicely tried, Katrina. You're spamming away combos without as much as breaking a sweat. I see you aren't phased in the slightest, despite gambling your soul! You've risen above fear for the sake of the game. As someone who is capable of competing with me at this level, I deem you worthy to be a part of my doll collection!" he said, yet I didn't pry my stare from the screen.
"You talk too much and give yourself too much credit. The only thing I'm afraid is how ugly that doll of me is. Your words are disgusting and degrading for me. Focus on the game and shut up." I snapped, beginning the 2nd round.
"You're going to use Shoryuken from the left side, then do a Hadoken from the right, correct?" he hummed in amusement, making me gasp as I unconsciously did just that, only to miss both attacks and get hurt myself.
"Wh-What...?!" I muttered, staring at the screen in disbelief.
"What, are you surprised that I guessed? You're pretty predictable." he smirked, which made me bite my lip.
"Then predict this." I growled, as I did a few more combos, but in the end, I lost this fight.
"Easily predictable." he chuckled in victory.
"Focus on the game, Katrina! I know you can do it!" Kakyoin declared, and I could only nod.
"Let's see how this goes." I muttered, putting the bandana over my eyes, letting Lilium push the combos that I already know by heart.
"What the hell are you doing, Katrina?!" Joseph cried out in shock.
"I don't need to see the screen or the controller, I can predict easily what's going to happen. Call this a little experiment." I explained, hearing the game countdown.
"Don't worry, Mr. Joestar. Kat already has everything memorised. Have faith in her strategy." Kakyoin reassured Joseph.
"Hadoken! Shoryuken! Hadoken! Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku! Shoryuken!" I said out loud, and yet, I let Lilium do completely different combos, however, Kakyoin gasped, which made me put the bandana back as soon as I heard that the fight was over, only to see that I lost again.
"You did different combos than the ones you said, and yet, he predicted all of them perfectly!" Kakyoin explained, which made me stare at the screen with my jaw agape.
"What the hell kind of trick are you pulling...?" I asked myself barely loud enough for the others to see. "You definitely don't read my mind, that's for sure...So what is it that you're doing..." I bit and chewed on my bottom lip hard, a habit I took whenever I got anxious.
"Don't give up not, Katrina! You can still win!" Joseph tried to encourage.
"I'm a doctor. I never give up. It's in my blood." I scoffed, getting ready for the 4th round.
"What a beautiful speech indeed! But let's see how you do in this round!" D'Arby started the next fight, and I honestly started hitting controls randomly, trying my best not to focus on anything, but I knew that my subconscious wasn't helping much with all the worrying...And yet...
"Hey...Why did you let yourself be hit with the last Hadokens on purpose?!" I jolted to my feet, screaming at him.
"You see, my birthday is on January 5th, which means the 5th day of the 1st month. I simply wanted to beat you in the 5th round, with the 1st character available." he laughed patronising, which made me gulp in realisation.
"...I can't believe I share the same zodiac sign with a sleezy pervert like you. Nonetheless, 2 days apart. How utterly disgraceful and humiliating." I sneered, getting ready for the last fight.
"Don't listen to his words, Katrina! Focus on the game!" Joseph tried to remind me, but my mouth was already dry.
"I will show you a humiliating defeat!" he smirked, as the last round started.
"I...Can't...Lose..." I bit on my lip hard, feeling a metallic taste on my tongue as I drew blood, but before I knew it, we both had half our HP...
But he defeated me with a single Hadoken.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?! YOU CAN'T DO THIS! YOU RIGGED THE GAME, YOU CHEATING FUCK!" I lunged at him, shaking him by the shoulders.
"Oh, it seems you didn't know this little trick in the game? When you do a little trick, which is not a cheat, obviously, but something the developers came up with to reward the people who defeated the game multiple times, it will automatically make all your special moves be triggered without any combo. Can you guess how many fight I needed to have won, for this to happen?" he pushed me roughly backwards, as I let the controller fall from my hands.
"...2...?" I spoke, waiting for confirmation, as I could barely breathe, realising that he was toying with me.
"Very good! You sure are smart! And now, you'll be a smart little doll!" he declared, extending his arms flamboyantly.
"You, jerk...You don't read minds, you read-" I began to speak, but I could feel someone strangling my throat, as my soul was put in the doll, and my body collapsed, my head hitting the table.
The sleezy fuck kept holding doll-me before he put me on the table, as Joseph and Kakyoin were holding my body.
It was weird because unlike last time, I was still aware of what was going on, to a certain extent.
He put my doll self on the table to have a perfect view of Jotaro as he chose to play Baseball.
During all of this, I found out that Jotaro never, in his life, played video games before and was just now figuring out how to even use a controller. He said he'd figure it out as he goes, which made D'Arby have conflicting emotions about everything.
"Jo...Jo..." I tried to call out from my doll form, and it seemed to attract his attention, thankfully.
"Huh? Katrina?" Jotaro asked, confused.
"Soul...Read...Soul..." I manage to say, before D'Arby slapped my doll-self far away from that place.
"Stupid bitch, talking out of line like that!" he growled, as Kakyoin went to pick me up, holding me so I would see the game.
Jotaro kept practicing, it seems, but I'm pretty sure he realised what I was trying to say, especially considering Joseph's dramatic reactions.
The whole game seemed to be a back and forth between those 2, but at the end of it, he took off his hat and got veeeery serious and bent on revenge.
In the end, Jotaro won because Joseph rigged the controller with his Stand, playing in his stead.
"Joseph...That was honestly the coolest thing you've ever done in your life. I'm proud of you." I chuckled weakly, getting up from the chair.
"I had the best opponent, after all!" he winked at me, as I go
"P-Please forgive me! I gave you back Katrina's soul! Everything is as it should be! Forgive me, please? Please? Please?!" D'Arby pleaded pitifully on the ground.
"If you wanna know if we'll forgive you, how about reading our souls?" Obviously, the answer was NO! "Here's a question for you: Am I gonna hit you with my right fist, or my left? Take a guess." Jotaro threatened once again.
"P-Please, will you just lightly hit me with your right?" The answer, once again, No. "Y-Your left?" same answer. "B-BOTH?!" this time, however, it was positive. "ARE YOU REALLY GONNA ORA ORA ME?!" he cried out in desperation.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!...Oh my God!" Joseph facepalmed, which made me laugh.
"I told you, didn't I, Barbie? Jotaro always takes care of me!" I grinned innocently, taking out my Stand, ready to beat him up too, burning him as Star Platinum Ora Ora-d him, sending him flying and breaking a hole into the wall, which helped us find our way out of there, to search the others.
The whole mansion was a fucking mess.
"This place is making me almost have a panic attack. Do you think the others are okay?" I bit my lip, trying to calm my nerves.
"It looks like someone went through this room with a giant hole punch. W-Why...?" Joseph tried to understand what the hell was going on.
"The destruction goes on into the next room." Nori pointed out.
"Avdol and the others must have encountered an enemy. Jotaro! Bust the door down!" Joseph ordered, and Star came out to punch the door away.
"Wait! There's something up ahead!" Kakyoin motioned for us to stop as soon as we ran up the staircase.
"It's a woman...?" Joseph called out, confused.
"Ahhhh! P-Please spare me! Don't drink my blood! Please don't drink my blood! I'll do whatever you want! So please, spare my life!" she fell on the ground, sobbing loudly.
"H-Hey, wait a second...Calm down." Joseph tried to calm her down.
"I promise I won't run away again! So please...Spare my life!" she kept sobbing, which honestly...She was annoying.
"We're not Dio's minions, and we're definitely not vampires! We're friends! We'll help you, so calm down already!" Joseph tired to reassured her, making her go wide eyes with shock.
"F-Friends? A-Are you really my friends? You're really going to help me?!" she looked at us with hope.
"Sure. We're friends...Friends of Justice, that is." was Jotaro's punchline as Star punched the woman, making her teeth fly away, just like the High Priestess'.
"This one was the lamest enemy we've encountered so far." I sighed, as Jotaro pointed out Nimrod's flaw, making him guiding us to his room.
And so, Star broke another wall, and we got to witness Polnareff fighting Dio, before he fled, and we ran after him...But Polnareff was trying to explain The World to us.
Poor man...It's almost as if he went insane.
The problem occurred however when Jotaro asked about Avdol and Iggy...Only to hear from a teary eyed Polnareff that they died to save him.
I was so mad that I completely lost myself like never before, punching the wall next to me and screaming Dio's name in rage, not caring that my skin was scraped, that my hand was hurting, or that my bones were damaged.
My friends were dead, and I could do nothing about it.
"Katrina...Your hand..." Kakyoin tried to stop me, but I merely shrugged him away.
"I can heal away any wound...But I can't bring back the dead. So who the fuck cares that I broke my hand, when Iggy and Avdol are DEAD?! ... Doesn't matter. Let's just go, he's getting away and the Sun is setting. That's not good when facing a vampire." I point out, healing my hand and speaking in a soft voice, trying to control my rage.
"We will avenge their deaths. I promise." Jotaro put his hand on my shoulder, squeezing softly, as I could merely nod and follow them into a dark room where only a coffin laid.
"This is it. Even though I've never met him, I've known about this man for as long as I can remember." Joseph said as Star destroyed the window so we'd have light. "Attack as soon as the coffin opens, but be careful. There's no telling if he's in there or not. Nimrod, open it up!" Joseph ordered the little vampire, who kept rambling bullshit.
What we saw in the coffin, however...Was still Nimrod?! What's going on?
Nobody could tell what was going on...So Joseph made us do the old Joestar trick of running the hell away.
Works every time.
I kept them all floating mid-air as we stepped on the roof, trying to think of a plan and that was to figure out what the Stand's power is.
Polnareff, however, was an idiot as usual and went to attack him, but this could work in our favour if we do a pincer attack, or so Jotaro says.
I shared one last look with Jotaro before letting him go in search of Polnareff, while Kakyoin and Joseph got a car and drove away.
I was running around from rooftop to rooftop, trying to watch over them and make sure they were okay, that Dio wasn't attacking them yet...But that was far from the truth.
The person who was attacking them from the car behind was actually Dio, who managed to hurt Kakyoin.
I continued to follow them, until Dio threw a guy at their car, making it crash.
I was freaking out from my hiding spot, but I knew I had to keep myself hidden so Dio wouldn't detect me.
I had to make sure nobody died again!
I had no idea what Kakyoin was trying to do, shooting Emerald Splash everywhere, but I knew he had a plan, so I manipulated the water molecules from his body so they would create a vest that would save him from any fatal injury that Dio would do while he'd do his Ultimate Attack, 20 meter radius Emerald Splash.
As soon as Dio activated The World, Kakyoin was sent flying into the water basin...And he wasn't moving.
No...No, I could feel it. My water can feel it.
Despite the blood that he's shedding, he's in no fatal danger.
I did it.
I did it...
But he's still in danger, so I can't let my guard down, nor can I reveal my presence yet.
Kakyoin used the last of his power to hit the clock, stopping it from moving, and it was obvious he figured out what The World's real power was.
Clock...? Time...? That mean...
He can stop time...?!
That's...That's...
Terrible.
Joseph was so pissed off, thinking that Kakyoin died, that as soon as he saw Kakyoin's dying message, he decided to run away and try to figure out this mystery, while wailing his friend's name.
Thankfully, Joseph being a nice Indiana Jones and taking Dio away from Kakyoin earned me enough time to get to Kakyoin and get him on the ground, hiding him to safety.
"Hey...Are you awake? Can you hear me?" I spoke gently, stroking his hair.
"Kat...? How...? Why...?" he gasped, realising he was still alive.
"Can you feel this? It's only a minor injury." I unbuttoned his uniform blazer, putting his hand beneath his shirt, letting his feel the injured area.
"You saved me...? But...How?" he looked at me with wide, teary eyes.
"I've been perfecting my powers a lot with Jotaro's help. Ever since I almost died, I realised that I could actually heal fatal wounds, so I had to push myself as much as possible, so I made a water vest from the water inside you. Rest now, you've done enough. You figured out The World's mystery, you were amazing. I will keep this on so it would heal you faster, but I can't promise I will be able to keep it on for too long, since Joseph, Jotaro and Polnareff are still out there. Will you be okay by yourself, Nori?" I asked, kissing his forehead gently.
"Yes, I will be. I owe you my life...Thank you, Katrina. Now go and make sure the others are okay." he squeezed my hand, giving me a soft smile, and I took off in search of the others.
I jumped from roof to roof, and I saw Joseph screaming something, that I could only guess was the World's secret, to Jotaro, while Dio was behind him.
In the blink of an eye, however, everything changed, and Dio was in front him, while Joseph...Was stabbed with a knife in the neck...? What...? That's...
I M P O S S I B L E
...
Grandpa...Joseph...Was...
Dead...
?
That's...Not...Possible.
With Joseph dead, I had no idea what to do, especially as those two were walking towards each other.
Even if I revealed my location, what good could I do?
I would only inconvenience Jotaro...
But I can't put a 2nd water vest on him...And I can't take off the one Kakyoin has yet.
Jotaro and Dio were in a heated fight, but it seemed that only Dio managed to scrape Jotaro.
Dio apparently used The World again, for he changed positions...
And Jotaro could kinda fly, in a weird way, so I had to trail over them again.
Once again, Dio used his Stand to stop time...And yet...?
Star managed to punch a huge hole into Dio's torso, making him fly into a shop, but from my angle, I couldn't see much.
Things were getting worse and worse, and I realised I had to take away Kakyoin's vest and put it on Jotaro, and I made it extra watery so he would realise that he was okay in certain places.
My fears came to reality as soon as I saw Dio wielding lots of knives...It was obvious what he was intending to do...
Jotaro got stabbed by quite a lot of them, and honestly, seeing him fall to the ground so helplessly killed me, but I knew he was still alive, and interfering with this would made Dio realise the same, which would only screw up whatever plan or trick Jotaro had up his sleeve...
But I had to get closer...Much closer...
Shit, Dio just came over and said he wants to make sure he isn't feigning dead, so he took a road sign and went to attack him, but fortunately, Polnareff jumped from his stealth spot and impaled Dio's head with Chariot's spade.
Oh, great, of course he has to use his Stand and Chariot didn't hit the right spot.
And if it wasn't bad enough that Dio wanted to kill an unconscious Polnareff now, Jotaro had to make a sound to keep Dio uncertain, and got a policeman to shoot him in the torso, the bullet which was thankfully stopped easily by Star.
However, Dio had to make sure to listen on the ground to see if Jotaro still had any heartbeat, and I knew that sure, Star could stop it,but it would be very bad, so I thought that now is the right time to strike.
With all the strength I had, I used Wind to propel myself from the place, tackling Dio to the ground close to where Jotaro was laying dead.
"I won't let you kill Polnareff too! You killed them all! You monster!" I screamed at him, trying to punch him with Hamon, but he used his Stand to get behind me, choking me.
"It's such a pity that even now, when all Joestars are dead, you don't want to join me! Your powers are extraodinary, and you would make a fine servant!" he grinned, tracing his fingers down my jugular vein, taking away my hair so my neck would be exposed.
"You lie...You would kill me...Because I was with them from the beginning." I panted for air, trying to buy some time.
"Well, if you swear your loyalty to me, get on your knees to beg for my mercy, I may debate whether or not I should make you a vampire and make you my servant. It's quite unfortunate that the cute Kakyoin refused my offer and had to die...But you needn't die." he spoke in the same alluring voice he used to charm all his preys.
"Would you...Really...Give me a second chance...?" I asked, as I shifted my gaze to Jotaro, trying to see any glimpse of a signal in his eyes, as Dio was fully focused on me.
"If you beg nice enough, I will consider it. All those women I've had so far were ordinary...But your blood has a certain...Scent to it." he mused as he used his long nail to scratch at my vein, drawing some blood and licking it.
"Is my blood worthy for you...Master Dio?" I asked in a soft whisper, which earned a laugh from him.
"Hearing you say say my name like that in such a submissive and obedient way...Pledge your loyalty to me. Now." he ordered, and with one last look at Jotaro, I turned to face Dio, my bottom lip trembling.
"I...Katrina Zeppeli, pledge my loyalty to Master Dio." I managed to say loud enough for him to hear, as I went to bow down on the ground.
"Excellent! That's excellent! Now, look up at me." he ordered, and I did just that. "Now, how about you actually mean it this time and not try to lie to me, you filthy wench?!" he growled at me, and next thing I know, he kicks my stomach hard enough to lose my ability to breathe, and I'm sent flying in a wall, destroying it and barely keeping my conscience.
"Did you see that, Jotaro? Your silly little girlfriend tried to mock me! See what happens to people who mock me? THEY DIE!" Dio laughed, as he crouched down next to Jotaro's head, only for the boy to 'magically' raise from the dead and use Star Platinum to punch him as hard as possible in the head.
"I almost blacked out...Even if you stop time...I'll smash your fucking head in, Dio!" Jotaro threatens as he gets some gasoline and splashes it on him, as he could barely move on the ground.
I could hear that they somehow managed to leave the place, but I wasn't sure how, so I closed my eyes and focused on keeping the water vest still on Jotaro.
I didn't know how much time passed since I was there, until I heard two voices calling out my name.
Who were they, I wondered?
I was much too exhausted to even think about anything else other than the water.
"Katrina! Katrina, wake up!" a gentle voice called out, as I felt myself get carried out of the wall, and put somewhere on the ground, around something soft. "Katrina, it's me, Kakyoin. Please, wake up. Your injury is still bleeding heavily...Why isn't Lilium healing you again?" he asked, applying pressure with a cloth on my abdomen.
"Jotaro...Dio..." I managed to croak out, hoping he'd understand.
"The protection that saved me...You transferred it to Jotaro because he's fighting Dio? Is that what you're saying?" he asked again, and I managed to nod.
"Will she be okay, Kakyoin?" I could hear Polnareff's concerned voice call out from the other side.
"She should be fine...If Jotaro finished his fight faster and lets her heal herself, at least. Polnareff, can you go look for Jotaro?" Kakyoin asked as he brushed away the hair from my face.
"Yeah, I'll go look now. Take care of her." I heard Frenchie's rushed voice as he ran away.
"You...Okay?" I breathed out, managing to flutter my eyes open.
"Don't worry about me. You saved me, so I'm good. I would have died if it weren't for you. Thank you." he said, which made me tear up and smile, leaning my face in his touch.
"I'm...Happy." I said softly, putting my hand over his and squeezing it.
"Talk to me, Kat. Don't fall asleep, okay? Keep your eyes open." Nori tried speaking so I would follow.
"Joseph...Died. Dio...Killed him." I sighed, biting my lip.
"Damn it, that Dio..." Kakyoin frowned in anger, not sure how to react.
"I'm sorry..." I said, before gasping. "Damn it...The water went back into his body." I frowned in confusion, now knowing what it meant.
"That means they're returning, right?" Kakyoin asked, feeling restless.
"KATRINA! WE'RE HERE!" Polnareff's obnoxious voice was heard from miles away as they hurried towards us.
"I didn't realise Dio injured you so badly." Jotaro crouched down next to me, taking me in his arms.
"Dead?" I asked with hope in my eyes.
"Yeah. I killed him. I made sure to make it as painful as possible." he smiled, exhausted. "Now heal yourself. You've done enough saving others, now save yourself too." he put his forehead to mine for a few seconds, before he told the others to follow him to the Speedwagon ambulances.
There, Jotaro went with Joseph's and Dio's bodies in an ambulance, while I went with Kakyoin and Polnareff, only to find out that - surprise surprise - The fact that Dio took Joseph's blood, only allowed us to give him back all the transfusion and ressurect him.
That's insane.
That's impossible.
But honestly, we truly made the impossible be possible in this journey.
It didn't take too long for all of us to fully recover, and when we did, we went to the airport to send Polnareff away to France, while the rest of us 4 were to return to Japan.
Our goodbye was filled with tears with smiles, however, we knew it wasn't really a GOODBYE, but more of a SEE YOU LATER, ASSHOLE, so we consoled each other with that thought, while we got in our own place, and I listened to music, leaning on Jotaro's shoulder, while Kakyoin and Joseph slept in the seats behind us.
When we got home, back to Holly, we were shocked to see Grandma Suzie there, but we didn't really question anything, only happy to see Jotaro's mum being back to her full health and cheerful self, just like her parents.
I and Kakyoin decided to stay more in the back, since it was a family reunion after all, and we weren't part of the family, but they thought differently.
"Kakyoin, Katrina, what the hell are you standing in the corner for? You're part of the family, get over here and celebrate with us!" Joseph hit us over the head playfully, laughing as he dragged us in the middle of the room. "Honestly! Not that Katrina's dating Jotaro and Kakyoin is more like his brother, it'd be stupid not to have you around more often!" he continued, which is when we all realised he was a tiiiny bit drunk.
There was a collective silence as soon as those words were spoken, before 2 very pitched women voices pierced the silence and hugged me and Nori as tightly as possible, almost as if trying to suffocate us, and honestly, I think I'd rather take the fight with Dio now, over this embarrassment.
"No way! Jotaro and Kat are dating! That's so cuteee! Our babies are growing up so fast!" Suzie teared up, fangirling over us.
"And Noriaki can now be Jotaro's brother, doesn't that sound just SO adorable?!" Holly chirped, hugging the red haired boy.
"Yare Yare...You're making such a fuss over nothing. How annoying." Jotaro groaned, tipping his hat, trying to hide away the blush creeping on his face.
"Now, Now, Jotaro, no need to be so shy! Get over here!" Joseph giggled drunkly as he pulled Jotaro to where we were, forming a group hug.
This whole thing didn't last too long, since Joseph fell asleep and Suzie and Holly went to take him to bed, while they spent some quality time together, and Kakyoin said he was too tired, so he went to sleep.
Definitely an excuse, but that's fine.
I went out in the garden, where the little pond was, enjoying the relaxing sound of the water, until Jotaro came and sat next to me.
"Can't believe this is all over." I broke the silence after a couple minutes.
"Yeah...I know." he grunted in approval.
"Can't believe Avdol and Iggy are...Gone." I sighed, resting my chin on my knees, hugging my legs.
"We've lost far too much." he nodded once again.
"...At least the 3 of you are okay. And Holly was saved." I muttered, looking up at the moon.
"Thanks for baiting Dio. I'm not sure how long I could have kept my heart stopped." he said nonchalantly.
"I'm glad I could do something to help. I've been there the whole time, I just didn't know when to act. I was scared I'd mess up your plan...But having that vest on you allowed me to know you weren't dead, so I always knew if you were okay or not." I raked my fingers through my hair, not taking my gaze away from the moon.
"It doesn't matter anymore. It's all gone now." he pulled me into his side.
"It's kinda weird, don't you think? Without enemies to fight, what am I supposed to do now? Return to my daily life as if nothing happened? And Lili? She'll get so bored...What, should I use her fire to light cigarettes randomly?" I tried to rant, jokingly.
"Haven't you had enough already?" he smirked down at me.
"I've...Had enough nightmares. Enough deaths...But I don't think I'll ever have enough of using Lilium like that." I shrugged, looking down.
"Do you...Want to sleep in my room? So you won't have nightmares?" he asked in a low, barely audible voice.
"...I can't say that I'd mind that." I hummed in amusement, before letting a few seconds of silence take over. "I'm worried about Kakyoin. And you as well. This whole thing kinda fucked us all. I can't imagine how Joseph is coming with the loss of Caesar, and now Iggy and Avdol...But what about you two?" I asked, looking at him with a sad look.
"We have each other. We'll manage, somehow. Gramps had nobody except Grandma Suzie and his mother, and now he has us. We will be fine." he reassured, which made me nod and rest my head on his shoulder as he put his arm around me.
"Can you do that thing again?" I asked, taking off my bandana and giving it to him.
"Yare Yare...You really are something." he mused, tying together my right hand with his left one, as we intertwined our fingers together.
"I don't see you running away from me." I smirked in amusement, squeezing his hand.
"...Can you sing that song again?" he asked, pulling me closer into his chest, nuzzling his face into my hair, kissing my temple.
"Hmm? What song?" I asked in confusion.
"That movie song you sang before." he sighed, not wanting to say any more.
"Ohh, you mean that song that was made for Marian and Robin?" I grinned, looking down with a soft blush. "I forgot about my silly Disney Princess performance that you had to witness." I chuckled bashfully.
"It wasn't bad." was his way of complimenting me.
"Okay...JoJo." I mused, as I began singing that song once again. "Love/ It seems like only yesterday/ You were just a child at play/ Now you're all grown up inside of me/ Oh, how fast those moments flee/ Once we watched a lazy world go by/ Now the days seem to fly/ Life is brief, but when it's gone." I began singing softly, and surprisingly enough, I could, a second voice continued the song.
"Love goes on and on/ Love will live/ Love will last/ Love goes on and on and on" Jotaro's baritone voice echoed beautifully around the garden, making my heart beat faster.
"Once we watched a lazy world go by/ Now the days seem to fly/ Life is brief, but when it's gone..." I continued from where he left off, before raising my head to gaze into his gorgeous, aquamarine eyes.
"Love goes on and on." we both finished the verse, leaning in and sharing a tender kiss under the peaceful light of the moon.
"I love you, Jotaro. I'm really happy that I was able to spend so much time with you...And get to understand you, even if it's a little bit." I smiled softly at him, earning a hum of approval.
"I lied when I said I didn't remember you, back then. You just annoyed me too much at school." he chuckled, stroking my hair. "You proved me you really are special and that now every woman is annoying and obnoxious. I'm glad you came back in my life. I love you, Katrina." he kissed the top of my head and then just leaned on each other, enjoying the soothing and calming presence of the other.
