Ch.9 Shall we dance or shed blood?
Sliver glinted off of Luna's knife as she eyed the assassin who seemed human, yet not one. It's red glowing eyes never seemed to leave her. Just tracing her and every step she took.
One step, two three, four step.... ten step-
The assassin bolted at her as Luna seemed close enough for the blade to pierce her heart. Luna dodged in time as she spun herself around to cut the assassin cheek.
The assassin hissed as black oozing blood came out of the cut as it bubble and froth onto the assassin's clothes.
It was a demon's blood. Luna knew what to do as she let the demon attack her. She dodged right and back as she took some swings here and there.
It cutting the assassin clothed or himself. Some of the demons blood got on her dress by the shoulder as it burned a hold through the fabric and stung into her skin.
Luna screamed in pain as she quickly cut off the material of the dress, but was too late as the assassin cut at her hand. She could barely feel it by the time she countered attacked as she slashed at his leg.
The assassin hissed at her as he grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back. Luna screamed in pain as his grip tightened where Luna could feel blood run down her temple.
Luna quickly moved her feet into place and twirled the assassin around twisting it's head. She knew she needed to kill this thing fast, or she would be the one getting killed.
The assassin grabbed her leg and clawed it with it's sharp demon nails. Luna bit back a cry of pain as she grabbed her knife and stabbed the assassin in the neck.
The assassin cried out as it let go of her, but quickly remembering and grabbed into her and twisted her leg at an angle. Luna burst out a short cry as she kick the assassin head.
It let go as Luna tried to stand on her bend leg, but felt onto her side as the assassin grabbed it's dagger. It's glowing red eyes piercing into her soul.
Luna didn't know how to kill this thing. A person who had a demon could only get rid of it by stabbing at the source of the demon, which is the shadow reflecting the soul.
She looked around it as it didn't have a shadow. But what if, stabbing at the center of the body, the rib cage, could kill it?
Luna couldn't think anymore as the assassin threw his dagger straight at her face as she barley dodged it in time.
The assassin growled as he when to pull another out of his hooded pocket. This was her chance, Luna took the kinfe as she threw the knife straight at it's chest.
The assassin didn't have time to react as the knife striked him in the chest. The assassin cried out in bloody horror as black oozing blood spilled out as it took the knife out.
Luna smiled at the attack while her broken leg sucked the energy out of her. She felt to her knees as her felt her own blood spill around her from the head wound.
Blood was only she could feel, until she looked up in time, and only too be too late to doge the knife the assassin threw into her chest. Luna cried out in pain as she pucked up blood along with her scream.
She could feel the assassin laughing as it disappeared in black smoke. She could still hear the laugher while Siegfried called out her name as she fell to the ground. Feeling the life drain out of her.

Siegfried ran to her side as blood was spilling fast from her wound. He was stood back the whole time in shock at the fact his maid could fight. In a dress too.
He scowled to himself as he shook his though away as he turned her over. The knife still stuck in her chest as her face was pale and constricted in pain.
Siegfried winced as he yanked the knife out of her chest as blood poured out from the wound. He started panicking as blood leaked from her closed mouth.
Siegfried close his eyes as green light enveloped himself in his body and soul, "Heal my soul, heal my mask, heal the dammed and holy, Hamkia!"
The green light around him glowed into Luna herself as the wound around her chest slowly started to heal.
Siegfried sighed in relief as he watched the wound heal up fast in the soul, but the body not so much.
He gently picked her up and set her on his bed. Gently resting her head onto a poofy pillow as his heartbeat slowed gently down as her chest rose soft and steady.
Siegfried got some towels and started cleaning up the bloody mess as good as he could. He was grateful for Luna saving his life.
He knew she didn't have to, but she did surprising him as others didn't care for his wellbeing.
He looking over to see the cloak the assassin left. He picked it up as dust of the ashes of the assassin were left over. He didn't know what the assassin was, but he knew it wasn't human by the glow of the eyes it set on Luna.
Her auburn curly hair dancing with the assassin as blood spilled out into the battle. Siegfried was glad Luna survived. He didn't know why. But, the girl already had a spot for her in his heart.
He knew it was his turn to protect and heal her until she was healthy enough again before people would notice something was wrong with her.
He needed time, but most of all, he needed a miracle for her wound to heal up by the end of tonight.
