Ch.6 The River and The Ocean Meet
The cuts and bruises were gone. Clean as new as if they were never there. Siegfried dressed up into his night clothes as he had finished his bath to wash off the blood his father gave him not too long ago.
He looked down at this wounds, use to be wounds, on his body. They just left white scar marks on him as they were very tiny to see.
Siegfried had kept his secret away from his father and sister. He had the power to heal. The power to heal himself and others. Every royal family has magic. He got his magic from his late mother as his family's magic was healing. He didn't know the other royal family's magic, but he wonder what they were.
Shaking his head, Siegfried grabbed his rob and tied it around himself as he walked outside on the patio. His wet hair clung to the back of his neck as the cool night air made it seem it was freezing up.
Siegfried pulled his hand out to the sky and stared up at a star. He remembered his mother use to tell him all about the stars and planets, how each one was different than the other.
He closed his eyes and let his imagination take over. Let the harsh world become nice, let the ugly things people do to each other become a beautiful thing and help out each other, let sad music become joyful and used everywhere instead in a sad place or time. Let everything that is bad and evil, become good and holy.
But then. His world comes into view. Waterfalls as tall and wide as the earth. The soil rich with plants and tree that grow just the right height. People laughing and talking are replaced from the heartless monster who take everything from you.
Siegfried sighed in pure happiness. He was glad his imagination escaped him from the poor real world. He dreamed of saving the world from darkness. Sword in hand, he charged at the dragon, slaying it's head off. The people cheered for him. He killed the bad dragon know to him as his father. Then, out came the princess of his dreams. Beautiful as she looked in his eyes as he dropped his sword and went to grab her, hug her, and kiss with all his-
Knock, knock
Siegfried gasped, the daydream, gone. His world of imagination started to disappear on him as it vanished like clouds.
"Come in." Siegfried said.
The door creaked open as his eyes landed on a girl about the same age as him. But, what surprised him, was the girl's beauty.
The curve of her lip, red as a pure blood rose. Her auburn hair in perfect curls at her shoulders as it framed her perfect milky white slender face. Her violet eyes landing on him as he couldn't speak to the girl.
'Who is she?! She beautiful! It was as if the Lord accidentally let down one of his angel's on the hellish life down here!'
"Hello, your highness," She bowed gracefully like a swan. Tilting her head down as her curls fell down with her. She got back up as held a small smile on her face having his heart melt at the beauty of it, "I'm here to clean up around your room. I'll be your maid until the day you leave."
"V-very well..." He said, still trying to take in back all his title as a prince, "You may start with the bed."
"Yes sir."
She walk gently over to the bed and fixed it. Smoothing the edges and bumps of it while humming a quiet song to herself.
"So..." Siegfried said while standing almost close to her, "You're my maid?"
"Yes." She answer while going over to bathroom as he walked over with her, "I am until then. I'm just a beginner so please be easy on me, your highness."
Siegfried nodded, "Of course I will. I'm not harsh at all to people."
"Oh really? Like a prince who is nice and kind. Not the one who are all high and proud because of their ranks."
"Not at all." He sat down beside her as she scrubbed at the tub.
"You're strange."
"How so?"
"You're watching me clean. Isn't that boring for a prince to watch a maid clean?"
Siegfried chuckled as he stand up, "A little bit, but I wanted to know how you maids worked. You all cook the meals, do the chores, and help out around the palace. Just for two people only living here. Minus my family and me since we're staying."
"I do not know myself. Some people were born with a gift to clean, follow orders, and stay happy. Go back to sleep and do it all over again. I don't know how a women like that won't go crazy after something like that happening in her daily life. Not to me though, I'll make sure of that."
Siegfried smiled. This girl was already making a way into his heart just by her talking, "What is your name?"
"Luna." She said getting up and washing her hand in the nicely stone polished sink, "Luna Diggensbur."
"No offense. I love your first name, but hate the last one."
Luna giggled. Her laugh sounded like lovely wind chimes rattling from the cool winter night breeze, "No I completely agree with you, your highness. I fawn over my name more than my last. I don't like it much so I try avoiding question. But, you're a prince so I had to fully say my name in front of you."
"I don't mind titles. But they get annoying sometimes. Your highness this, or my prince that. I would like it if you called me by my first name."
"W-what?!" She was completely struck with shocked. Her violet eyes shrinking as her pupils grew by the second, "B-but I couldn't! I'm only a maid!"
"A maid who will be with me for a while. Besides, I like my name being called more than titles."
"A-alright... if you say so. Your hig- I mean Siegfried..."
She bowed to him as a faint tint of pink appeared on her cheeks. Siegfried smiled at the cute sight. She looked better with pink on her.
"You are dismissed."
Luna exited the room shutting the door behind her. Siegfried sighed dreamily. He now knew that girl would never get out his mind, his imagination. And he was glad for the blessing.

Luna quickly paced from prince- Siegfried's room. She flushed at the way he had let her called him by his name. His first name. Maybe even his full name.
Luna shook off the thought as she when down stairs. It was break time as she was only serving the Siegfried for being a beginner. It was a huge step, but Esta told her the other maids didn't want to go was because they feared the prince would be just like his father. The princess wasn't any better like her father as well.
Too Luna's surprise. He was more kind and gentle then manipulative and hatred from what Esta told her his father was like.
'It must be horrible being a royal. Only able to do so little with your life, yet can have great power, only to also have lives at hand with the power.'
Luna was lost in her thoughts as she didn't seem in realize she was already in the palace gardens. The cool air breeze picking at the back of her neck like needles snapped her back in life.
She looked around. Seeing the garden was just as huge, maybe even bigger, as the palace itself. Flower, plants, trees, beautiful fountains spilling out water in delicate art figures.
The one in front of her was a dragon carved from pure white stone. Water seeped from it mouth as it battled with a knight in front of it. Raising it's wings to fly the knight away before the hero slayed at it's heart.
It was beautiful. How art how be so dark, yet be so beautiful at the same time creating a vision of delicacy.
Footsteps racing caught at her ears as she quickly hid behind a bush filled with beautiful red roses. Cursing to herself as a thorn punctured her finger drawing out fresh blood. It leak down her finger staining her white apron while she looked up as saw a hooded figure quietly walking on the windowsill edges. All dressed in black it looked into the windows. Peeking into one looking around.
Luna kept her eyes on the figure. Making sure it was still as she drew a knife from her secret knife holder under the skirts of her dress, throwing it straight into it's leg.
It let out a man cry as it staggered backwards, almost falling off the edge. The assassin dressed in black was spilling out colorful language even Luna didn't think could be words.
He pulled the knife out. Biting down a scream with a grunt as he looked at the knife. It gleamed in the dusk light as the sliver was painted with dry red blood.
He put it into his pockets as he reached into his tiny sack bag and pulled out a grappling hook. He went up to the roof quickly as Luna ran back inside.
She was determine to find the assassin on the roof. She ran up to the third floor. She was still new to the palace. At times she felt as if she was a needle in a haystack in this palace at times.
She ran and ran, until she stopped and almost tackled Esta.
Esta squeaked with surprise as Luna stopped just an inch away from her.
"Luna?! What in God's name are you running for?!"
"I..." She gapes for air while thinking of an excuse.
"Are you running late to prince Siegfried's room? I can't blame you running around. This place needs to have short cuts sometime."
"Yes!" Luna exclaimed, "That's it! Now if you'll excuse me..."
Luna quickly paced her steps as she climbed up the ladder and up to the roof. She looked around to find no one up there. Luna cursed to herself. Noting to herself she needed to work on the sailor mouth she had.
Luna sighed as he climbed back down. Calling it a night as she down to the dorms she shared with Esta.
