Chapter 25: A Huddle Up

Cosmelia's POV

We were now in the snow biome, a long way off from where this group wanted to be. I could just teleport everyone there, but where was the fun in that? I understood their need well enough, but still, what is a quest without the hard work.

Plus, there were still things I did not think they were ready to learn of. I clutched my scepter to my chest, and whispered an enchantment that would basically created a bubble around us full of hot air. I took a glance at the group, and flashed a rare smile at Sparrow. He immediately started to blush furiously, and I hid a laugh.

"Now, that, feels a lot better." Cara said, removing the thick, fleece coat that she was wearing. "Thanks."

"No problem." I replied back, flashing a smile. "Any time!"

As I sat down on a log, I couldn't help look at Sparrow. He.....intrigued me. As he caught me staring at him, I started to blush. I tried to hide it, but before it disappeared, I knew Sparrow saw me. Argh, stop it Cosmelia. You're not here to make friends, just help an army win a war.

"So, what's the plan?" Cara asked, rubbing her hands next to the quivering fire.

"Huh?" Angel said, surrounding us with his tail. "What do you mean?"

"Well..." Cara started off. "If we're going to reach the Nether, we'll need to have a plan."

"Apparently, no one has one." Sparrow said sarcastically after a couple minutes of silence. "What about you Cosmelia?"

I was momentarily surprised by his question. I was judging the futures where it was apparent devastation was possible, but I hadn't gone as far through to see if there was anything safer. I quickly blurted out a quick 'no', and quickly regretted it.

"Why are you so nervous?" Cara asked, arching an eyebrow. "Are you.....hiding something?"

"Well, of course not!" I frantically said, wiping a trail of sweat from my face. "Why would you say that?"

"Assuming the situation, that matters not at the moment, but we still need a plan to get to the Nether." Sparrow said, pointing northward.

The truth was, I knew something that none of the others knew, news that they would regret hearing, but it wasn't the right time. When Angel looked toward me, I put a smile up on my face, but deep down, it just, didn't feel fair.

~~Flashback~~

"Life isn't fair." Allown hissed in my ear. "Sometimes, you've got to do what you have to do."

I watched silently, tears trickling down my face as I watch a planet collide with another, and with the knowing I couldn't do anything to save them........it just made me feel worse.

"How come we can't do something?" I pleaded. "Anything; why do we have to stand by this?"

"Project complete." a voice blared from the intercom. "Return to your stations."

"I've got to got, sweetums," Allown whispered, placing an orange baseball cap on his head. "Don't worry, I'll be back."

~End of Flashback~

Cosmelia, Cosmeliaaaa..." a voice trailed off.

"Huh?" I said, startled.

"You were just, staring into space like this." Sparrow said, making an awful impression of a dead goldfish.

"Wellllllll then...." I said slowly. "I suppose some of us are more mad than others..."

"What!?!" Sparrow hollered, appalled. "I am not a lunatic for your information!"

"Ok, ok." I said, waving my hands in resignation. "Don't need to so flustered."

In fact, it did look like Sparrow's face was about to blow up. His face was now a watermelon-red, though I had suspicions that it would turn into a pomegranate.

"So, what are we doing then?" I asked, rubbing my neck uncomfortably from the cold. My spell was starting to fade, and I quickly murmured a spell that would keep the enchantment going for a couple more minutes.

"We take a sitter for a night, " Cara said, propping her head up on the log. "And then we'll start heading to the Nether tomorrow. "

"Wouldn't it be best to start right now?" Sparrow questioned.

"Are you questioning me, soldier?" Cara boomed, and Sparrow quickly shook his head, and started to fall asleep onto the ground.

"That's what I thought..."

New chapter, yet I've been so lazy for a while. Guess what though, I still haven't thought up a 100 follower chapter/book. I've decided that I'll be releasing a suprise book on Halloween, which gives me a while to make chapters beforehand.

Also, talking 'bout this book. I'm deciding that there will be another ten more chapters at the very least before this book ends. I will be making a third book if that thought hasn't been established already. Another series may/may not be branching off the third book, so keep an eye out.

As always, stay cool, and keep on writing!
