Light cleaned up the water while Jackaboy and (Y/n) went to a room to get some blankets. Dark put the coffee table against the wall with the window. Wilford put the laptop on the table and closed the curtains.

I looked around the small apartment as she was gone. The kitchen and the living room were right next to each other, and the only thing that separated them was the different floor styles; White carpet for the front room; Brown titles for the kitchen. There were doors on either sides on the TV; One was (Y/n)'s room and the other was the bathroom.

"You guys don't mind sleeping on the floor, right?" She said with blankets covering her face.

"We'll be fine." I reassured her.

I'm pretty sure we're all very grateful that she's even letting us stay outside of the laptop; We don't want to bug her too much.

She put the blankets down, grabbed a small white box, and put it on the kitchen table. Google and Bing awkwardly followed her like they wanted to ask her something.

She turned around and jumped a bit because they were in her face.

Her face changed from surprised to confusion, "Do you guys sleep?"

I laughed and started putting pillows on the couch, "I call dibs on the couch."

Dark, Glitch, Jack-Glitch, and Wilford groaned as they choose a blanket to sleep on.

I looked back at (Y/n), Bing, and Google.

"Would you like me to shut down now?"

"Not yet." Light said, "I think we should all hear the rules before we go to sleep."

Dark groaned, "Are there really rules?"

(Y/n) nodded a bit, "There are, but the only one you really need to worry about is the one having three people over at once, and I'm pretty sure we got that covered."

Everyone nodded.

"If your shoes are dirty," She continued, "I don't want you stepping on the carpet."

I looked at my clean, new converse, and looked back at her. Everyone else was looking at there practically brand new shoes too.

"Everything else is common sense; Don't leave dirty dishes anywhere, don't walk around the house in your underwear, etc."

Everybody nodded, except for Glitch.

"How'd you know we walk around the house in our underwear?"

"I didn't until just now."

Everybody else laughed.

He wasn't satisfied with that answer, so he raised an eyebrow.

She sighed, "Also, I was raised around boys, I kind of know."

He nodded in agreement and went back to his business.

"Where do you want us to put our shoes?" Jackaboy shouted.

"Over by the door." She motioned to it, "My shoes are there too."

We all gathered around the door and took out shoes off one after another. I walked back to the living room and sat on the couch.

Dark sat next to me and picked up the remote. Light, Jackaboy, Wilford, and Jack-Glitch sat on the floor. Glitch was still at the door trying to tell Google and Bing to take off their shoes.

"Do you guys have other clothes to change into?" (Y/n) asked. We all looked at the laptop, "And I thought that exploded?"

I messed with the end of my sleeve. When we were forced to leave to laptop, I practically flew out and hit (Y/n). Lucky for me, she didn't realize it.

The laptop is still working though; Google and Bing fixed it no problem.

"All of our stuff is in the laptop," Light explained, "and Google and Bing fixed it."

She nodded.

"Can we watch TV?" Dark asked holding up the remote.

"Sure, just keep it down; I'm going to bed." (Y/n) said.

"It's 8:38." Google said, "Are you sure you want to sleep now?"

"I just got back from work not too long ago," She said, "I'm tired."

"Good night." We all said at the same time.

She nodded and disappeared behind her door.

I told Google and Bing to shut down and charge while (Y/n) was asleep. Glitch joined Dark and I on the couch.

~

We were on the last few episodes of Gravity Falls, season two when (Y/n) woke up. Her over-sized sweat shirt was hanging off one of her shoulders and her shorts were kind of crooked.

"Sleeping Beauty finally decided to get up?" Wilford teased.

(Y/n) giggled, "Yeah." She walked to the kitchen, "What do you guys want for supper?"

We all looked at her confused. She was looking at us with an I'm-waiting look.

This was all new for us. Jake wasn't Matt's first choice when Mark and Jack wanted to get rid of us; We had three other "owners" before him.

All of us understand why Mark and Jack wanted to get rid of us in the first place-We got in the way often. They didn't mind until we started getting bored while they were recording. They even asked us if it was okay to put us in the laptop.

Matt was our first "owner," but we kind of stayed at his girlfriend's house. Anyway, he tried to give us a chance and he would've let us stay, but his girlfriend didn't like the fact that there were ten men in her house almost all the time.

The second guy was named Frank or something like that. He was terrified of us, and he didn't know how to put us back into the laptop, so he tried to hurt us (huge mistake). Long story short, Matt came back and took us away after the ambulance left.

The third one was a girl, Rosa. She wasn't exactly scared of us, but she didn't want us to hurt her, so she kind of shut us out/acted like we weren't there. She wouldn't talk to us, feed us, or even look at us. The moment she found out how to get rid of us was the only moment she ever payed attention to us.

Jake was the only one who figured out how to get rid of us sooner. I was forced to stay in my room for like two months.

Each sticker on the laptop represented a room. Mine was my version of Septic Sam, Dark's was the circle with the line threw it, etc.

"You're going to feed us?" Jack-Glitch asked while standing up.

(Y/n) made a well-duh face, "Yeah. Why wouldn't I?"

"Well," Wilford said, "The last few people we've lived with didn't really enjoy our company, so they didn't really treat us right."

"They didn't feed you?" She asked, clearly surprised.

"Yes," He continued, "they kind of wanted to kill us anyway they could. They didn't know we couldn't die unless Mark and Jack died too. Yes, we can starve, but we can't die."

She still looked really surprised. She shook her head a bit and made an okay face, "So do you want pasta or hamburgers?" (or veggie burgers if you're vegan.)

I laughed a small bit, "Pasta."

Everybody else nodded in agreement.

She pointed at Google and Bing who were still off, "Do they eat?"

"No," Glitch said, "but they make great waiters."

She smiled and started getting all the supplies for the pasta. Everyone else went back to watching TV. I got up and went to the kitchen.

"Do you need any help?" I awkwardly asked.

I didn't like the idea of our first good "owner" (besides Matt) making us something without some help.

She glanced around a bit, and looked at me, "No, I don't think I need help."

"Are you sure?"

She looked around the kitchen one more time, "Do you want to wash a few plates for us?"

I pointed at her, "I can do that."

She smiled and went back to making the sauce. I rolled up my sleeves as I walked to the sink and turned on the water.

~

After we ate, Dark and I taught (Y/n) how to use Google and Bing while everyone else fell asleep on the floor.

Dark went to the bathroom when I started talking about how to shut them down. Just as I finished explaining she suddenly went, "Woah!"

"What?"

Her head was tilted to the side like she was looking at something on the side of my head, "Your ears are so sharp!"

I giggled and scratched the back of my neck, "Yeah, I get that a lot."

"I don't mean to be rude, but my my gosh."

I laughed, "They're not that great, calm yourself."

"Sorry." She said blushing as she looked away.

"Woah!" I said.

She glanced around, "What?"

"Your ears are so round!"

She started laughing. I don't know what it was, but the moment she started laughing, my stomach started to flutter.

Maybe I was hungry.

"Is there any pasta left over?" I asked.

"Yeah, but not very much." She answered.

"Okay." I said and headed to the kitchen, "When are you going to go to bed?"

"I'm not going to bed, I slept all day."

I turned around with the pasta I just pulled out of the fridge, "What'd ya gonna do then?"

She shrugged, "Go for a walk?"

"Can I go?" Dark asked, coming out of the bathroom.

(Y/n) gave him a questionable look, "Don't you guys go back into the laptop if you leave the house?"

"No," Dark said, "the only way for us to go back into the laptop is if the laptop leaves the house, not us."

She nodded and shrugged, "I don't see why no-Wait, wouldn't people think you're Mark?"

He made a well face, "Well yes, but I can go invisible. And what's so bad about Mark?"

"Nothing," She answered, "I just know that he has a lot of crazy fangirls around here, and I really don't want them to follow us home."

He shamefully nodded in agreement.

"I want to go too." I said and put the pasta back.

"Okay," She said, "let's go."

We followed her to the door, put on our shoes as she grabbed her purse, and waited outside the door. Dark and I quickly turned invisible for the rest of the world. She locked the door and we headed to the elevator.

I can't speak for everyone, but I like our invisibly powers. However, when we use them, only certain people can see us. In the beginning, it was Mark and Jack, then Matt, then Fred or whatever, then Rosa, and now (Y/n). I'm fine with it, but we can only see that person clearly. Random people on the street look kind of blurry.

When we got to the lobby, (Y/n) wrote her name in a book and we left.

"So tell us about yourself." I said.

"Me?" (Y/n) asked.

"Yes you." I answered, "I already know everything I want to know about Dark."

They laughed a bit.

"Well..." She began.

~

"No you didn't!" Dark exclaimed.

She laughed and nodded like crazy.

"You threw a glass piggy bank at your teacher because she said she would give you an A when pigs flied?" He shouted.

I was laughing my ass off. "Did it break?" I asked in between laughs.

She nodded again, "She dodged it, but it still hit the wall."

"Please tell me you got an A." Dark said.

She raised an eyebrow at him, "Duh!" We laughed even harder. "She was going to give me a detention, but I reminded her what she said and she didn't do anything but change the grade on my test."

After we were done having our laughing fits, (Y/n) looked at the time.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"1:24." She said, "Do you guys want to start heading back?"

"Yeah." I said and slumped over.

"We've got to sleep some time." Dark agreed.

We got up form the bench and started headed back. We pasted a lot of drunks on our way back. It was kind of funny watching blurs wobble by.

However, there was a guy up ahead leaning against the old theater, smoking a cigarette. He looked like a normal guy but something seemed off about him. He wore a long, dark trench coat that went to his knees. The street light nearby him outlined his tangled hair. It was so dark, though, I couldn't even tell his skin color.

Us demons aren't easily scared, but that guy freaked me out.

I was going to pass him off as a regular guy, but he took a puff of his cigarette, and looked straight at me.

Me.

Not (Y/n), which should be the only one he could look at.

No, he was looking-no-staring at me.

"Stop." I said.

Dark and (Y/n) stopped and looked at me.

"Why?" (Y/n) asked.

"What's wrong?" Dark said looking around, but he didn't notice the guy.

I pointed to the guy, "Why is he staring at me?"

They looked at him and his gaze landed on Dark.

(Y/n) started looking behind us to make sure he was looking at something else, but there was nothing else worth staring at.

"Let's just go down a block or two." (Y/n) whispered.

We turned around and started walking. (Y/n) started looking over her shoulder, but the third time she did it she stopped where she was.

We looked at her, making sure not to pay attention to the guy, "What?"

"H-He's gone." She stuttered.

We looked and he wasn't there. There weren't any allies he could go down, any manholes he could slip into, or any objects to hide behind.

"I...W-W..." My words stumbled over each other until my voice faded.

"Let's just go." Dark said while locking arms with (Y/n).

I did the same on her other side and we started walking down the road where we first saw the guy.

Why? Well, (Y/n) told us how her and her friends locked arms and walked down the halls of her high school. It reminded them that no matter what, someone was always next to you and you knew they weren't going to leave because the keys were at the destination.

Sappy, but understandable for freshmen.

More people passed by, but none of them looked like that guy. I shook it off and continued to walk.

When we got to the apartments, we walked in like that. (Y/n) crossed out her name and we headed to the elevators.

(Y/n) started laughing.

"What? Dark and I asked.

"I just realized we locked our arms the whole way." She laughed.

"Why's that so funny?" I asked, "I thought it helped you?"

"It does, am I'm glad you guys are going this, but no one else can see you." She laughed, "I probably looked weird."

We started laughing too. I just imagined (Y/n) with both her arms out walking past a bunch of drunk people.

The doors opened, we walked to her door, unlocked it and ourselves, and went inside. (Y/n) locked the door and went to her room, Dark made his bed on the floor and fell asleep instantly, and I jumped on the couch and slowly dozed off.
