Jungkook and Jimin strolled down the sunlit corridor, the warmth of the morning light casting a gentle glow on their path. Jungkook, her hands fidgeting nervously, couldn't contain her curiosity any longer. She turned to Jimin, her wide, doe-like eyes reflecting her confusion.

"Jimin, do you know why Mr Kim married me so suddenly?"

Jimin glanced at Jungkook and Jungkook took it as a sign to continue.

"My fiancé was waiting in the aisle when he walked into my room. I calmly asked him to let me go, but your brother—he took my hand and led me to his other house. And do you know, he didn't use a car or anything? There was this magical gate—really, as big as this—" Jungkook stretched her arms wide, her fingers splayed to demonstrate the enormity of the gate she had seen.

Jimin chuckled softly, her eyes twinkling at Jungkook's earnest description and wide, sparkling eyes.

"Because of the fate. Our mother was sick and cursed, we tried everything to cure her but couldn't. At last, Grandma asked hyung to marry Alara—"

"Wha-, Ala....ra— what is that?" jungkook squinted her eyebrows.

"The person with an angelic heart. The one who can never see anyone in pain and crisis. And guess what— you have the same quality. That's why hyung married you," jimin clapped her hands in tiny.

"You have magical powers in you and you will protect my brother."

Jungkook's eyes widened further, her delicate features reflecting her bewilderment. She raised a hand to her chest as if trying to understand Jimin's words. "Me? But I don't think I have any magical powers. I just try to be kind..."

Jimin nodded, "Oh, but you do have something special. Alara, like you, has an innate ability to shield their loved ones. Grandma saw that strength in you. It's more than magic as you might think but about the kindness and protection you naturally offer."

"Magical powers in me?" Jungkook asked.

"Yes, let me show you," Jimin stopped and fished out the phone from her pocket. Her fingers hovered above the screen as she scratched for something.

"See this video," Jimin passed her phone to Jungkook.

Jungkook expressions changed simultaneously as the video proceeded. Her expression changed into amusement and shock. She watched how the flowers bloom as soon as her foot touched them.

"This is so cool. Like I have powers in me," Jungkook smiled widely and touched her body.

Jungkook's fingers touched her arm trying to feel the magic within her. She looked at Jimin with an excited sparkle in her eyes. "I never imagined I could do something like this. It's amazing!"

Jimin smiled, "I told you. There's something special about you, Jungkook. It's not just about having magical powers but about the kind of person you are. You have a natural gift for bringing beauty and healing."

Jungkook nodded, still amazed by the discovery. She handed the phone back to Jimin, her smile never fading.

"Thank you for showing me, Jimin. This means a lot. I'm starting to understand more about myself and my place here."

Jungkook's confusion faded, replaced by a soft, thoughtful smile. Her cheeks tinged with a gentle blush as she looked at Jimin.

"So, you think I'm like... an angel? That's a lot to take in."

Jimin giggled softly, reaching out to gently pat Jungkook's arm. "It might sound like a fairy tale, but it's true in its way. You have a special role in our family and we're all grateful for it."

Jungkook nodded slowly, her gaze shifting from Jimin to the ground trying to process the significance of her new role. Her eyes lifted back to Jimin's and she offered a sincere smile. She clasped her hands together in front of her.

"Yeah, therefore you can save my brother from grave danger,"

Jungkook's eyes widened slightly, her confusion deepening.

"Danger? What danger are you talking about?" Her voice carried a hint of alarm, her fingers subconsciously clutching at the fabric of her dress.

Jimin nodded slowly, her expression was serious. "It's not my place to tell you. If Brother hasn't shared the details with you yet, it means it's something important and personal. I can't breach his boundaries."

Jungkook's shoulders slumped slightly, her lips forming a tight line as she tried to process the new revelation.

Jimin placed a comforting hand on Jungkook's shoulder, "I know this is a lot to take in, and it's not fair to leave you in the dark. But trust that Brother has his reasons for keeping this to himself. It's not about hiding things from you; it's about protecting you."

Jungkook offered a small smile, though her eyes still held worry. She nodded slowly, trying to absorb Jimin's words and reconcile them with the uncertainty that had begun to cloud her thoughts.

Jungkook's small smile quickly faded into a pout, her brows furrowing as she crossed her arms.

"Oh wow, my designation changed—secretary to bodyguard, just like that."

Jungkook huffed dramatically, puffing out her cheeks, her doe-like eyes narrowing in frustration.

"This Ice Cube! He could've just told me before dragging me into a wedding! But no, Mr. Mysterious had to make it a whole dramatic scene."

Jimin couldn't help but chuckle at Jungkook's playful reaction, her shoulders shaking lightly. "Sounds like my brother. Always doing things the hard way."

Jungkook threw her hands in the air, her pout deepening. "It's so unfair! Imagine you're waiting for your fiancé, and then—boom—your boss storms in and suddenly, you're his wife!"

The confused beauty glanced sideways at Jimin, confusion covering her face. "He didn't even explain anything. I'm just out here piecing together these weird clues."

Jimin leaned against a nearby pillar, her smile vanished into concern.

"Did he force you?"

Jungkook paused, her arms dropping as her expression softened. She sighed, shaking her head. She bit her lower lip trying to piece together a puzzle that didn't quite fit.

"I don't know," she murmured, her voice softer now as if speaking more to herself than Jimin. She glanced down at her hands, fingers fidgeting as if trying to find answers. Her eyebrows furrowed as she continued, her tone unsure.

"I was more... confused. Everything was happening so fast. One moment, I'm trying to understand what's going on, asking him to explain, and then the next moment..." Her voice trailed off, her gaze distant as she replayed the events in her mind.

Jungkook blinked, her eyes flicking back to Jimin, searching for some assurance amidst the emotional chaos swirling inside her.

"I didn't even have time to think. It felt like... like I was being swept into something without really knowing why or how. I'm still trying to make sense of it all."

Her voice wavered slightly, betraying the confusion and frustration. But then Jungkook's expression suddenly shifted. Not wanting to burden Jimin with her tangled thoughts, she opted for a more playful approach.

With an exaggerated wave of her hands, her eyes widened dramatically as Jungkook leaned in, her serious expression became dramatic.

"I mean, really—who does that?" Jungkook exclaimed.

"Who just decides, 'Hey, let me turn your whole life upside down without so much as a warning'? Typical Ice Cube behaviour, if you ask me!"

Jimin's lips twitched in amusement.

"I swear, if he wasn't so ridiculously handsome, I'd—I'd—" Jungkook waved her hands even more frantically, as if trying to find the right words, "I'd release an entire dictionary of cute curses on him!"

Her pout returned, softer this time, her eyes still shimmering with confusion and humour.

Jimin chuckled softly, shaking her head. "Cute curses? That's your big threat?"

Jungkook nodded vigorously, her earlier frustration melting into a small, mischievous smile. "Oh, absolutely! You better warn him. I'll unleash the cutest, most devastating curses imaginably—like, 'May your socks never match!' or 'May your cereal always get soggy too quickly!'"

Jimin doubled over with laughter, her shoulders shaking. "You're dangerous, Jungkook," she managed between giggles. "Your cute curses might be the end of us all."

Jungkook's pout softened into a smile. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she nudged Jimin. "He better watch out. One wrong move and I'll unleash my secret curse arsenal."

Jimin tried to stifle her laughter, but just then, her eyes widened as she caught sight of Taehyung approaching them down the hallway. She nudged Jungkook discreetly, giving her a glance to signal that it might be time to tone down the "cute curses."

Jimin's sudden silence didn't register with Jungkook immediately. Still lost in her world of complaints and curses, Jungkook continued, unaware of Taehyung's presence. She waved her hands animatedly.

"You know," Jungkook said dramatically, "the employees at his office are terrified of him. But why? That man doesn't speak more than five words at a time and just glares at them! But me—humph! I, Jeon Jungkook, am different! I'm not afraid of him. Mr. Ice Cube doesn't scare me at all!"

Jimin's eyes darted nervously toward Taehyung, who was now only a few steps behind Jungkook. She swallowed, unsure of how to interrupt Jungkook's enthusiastic rant without making it obvious.

Jimin winced waiting for the outburst.

Jungkook huffed with pride. "Humph, Mr. Ice Cube! Does he think he can intimidate me? He has no idea who he's dealing with—-"

To prevent the volcano from erupting, Jimin held jungkook's shoulders and forcefully turned her around.

Jungkook gasped softly, her large doe eyes widening in surprise as she found herself face-to-face with Taehyung. Her lips parted, her cheeks puffed slightly she'd been caught mid-sentence, leaving her adorably frozen. She blinked up at him, completely unaware of how her innocent expression, paired with her wide, confused eyes, made her look utterly defenceless at that moment.

Caught off guard, Jungkook stammered, "M-Mr Kim,"

Taehyung opened his mouth to speak but he couldn't help but be captivated by jungkook's angelic aura. The sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting a warm glow on the younger, who looked breathtaking in her red attire.

His scolding caught in his throat as he was momentarily lost in her beauty. Taehyung gazed over the face, enchanted by the younger's beauty.

Soft cheeks with baby fat being caressed by the black hairs that were left open. Jungkook's eyes stared at the Black one, blown wide and then she blinked once, then again with a shocked expression. His mouth parted slightly and as the seconds passed the cheeks acquired a beautiful hue of red.

Taehyung observed with a cold face which was the opposite of his heart and inner emotions, the sharp gaze made the younger fiddle with her hands. His gaze traced the Younger from head to toe.

Jungkook looked like an angel dropped from heaven, absolutely alluring.

Sparkling Doe eyes filled with galaxies, a cute button nose and lips covered by shiny gloss. The lower lip turned red because of the younger's biting.  His small frame was dressed in deep red attire. Her wrist was adorned with a silver bracelet, which created a faint sound whenever Jungkook moved her hand.

Her soft black curls were pulled back with three hairpins, mind getting the flashback of that day when his secretary sneaked into the manor just to get these.
A few curls flowed down framing her dainty face and the rest pushed back.

Taehyung couldn't take his eyes off the ethereal beauty.
Jungkook became unusually shy. Her widened eyes met the blank one, and she couldn't utter a single word, her cheeks flushed with a deep blush.

Jimin looked back and forth between Taehyung and the now speechless Jungkook, confusion written all over her face.

"Um, Jungkook, are you okay?" Jimin inquired, glancing at her friend who seemed to have lost her voice in her husband's presence.

Her friend, who had moments ago been cursing her husband with playful gusto, now seemed utterly tongue-tied in his presence.

Jimin sighed in relief when she saw Grandma Kim approaching them with two maids. In the hands of the maids, a bundle of clothes and a box adorned with jewellery was held.

Grandma Kim asked, " Why are you all standing here?"

The newlyweds broke their unwavering gaze when they heard a new voice and both glanced at Grandma Kim. The maids carefully placed the clothes and jewellery in Grandma Kim's hands.

She turned to Jungkook, "Jungkook, My dear. I specially ordered these clothes for you. And this jewellery belonged to Kims. From generation to generation, every daughter-in-law wears them. Now, It's time for you to wear them."

Jungkook smiled and nodded admiring the beautiful dress and ancestral jewellery. Taehyung observed the exchange, unsure of Grandma Kim's intentions.

"Taehyung, Son, enough of this cold war. Your marriage is a bond that should be cherished. These clothes and jewellery carry the legacy of our family and mark the acceptance of Jungkook as our Daughter-in-law.
let's celebrate the unity that brought you two together."

Jungkook managed a sincere smile, "Thank you, Grandma. I'll treasure these."

Grandma Kim, satisfied with the response, added, "Now, let's prepare for the reception. It's time to throw this icy atmosphere and replace it with the warmth of family bonds."

Jimin exclaimed cheerfully, catching Jungkook off guard. "Yeah, Welcome to The crazy family of Kims, Sister-in-Law"

Jungkook, blushing at the unexpected title, muttered lowly, "Jimin, you don't have to call me that."

But Jimin, enjoying the playful moment, persisted, "Nonsense! You're officially my Sister-in-Law now. Right, brother?"

Jimin wriggled her eyebrows looking at jungkook's flushed face and then at taehyung who was also caught off guard. Taehyung cleared his throat rubbing his warm ear and looked away.

With a nod, Grandma Kim directed the next move, "Jimin, take Jungkook to her room. Help her with the attire, and ensure she looks as radiant as the stars. And Tae, come with me," she directed, her tone leaving no room for argument.

"Ay Ay captain," Jimin shouted and led the younger towards the room. Jungkook, still holding the bundle of clothes and jewellery, exchanged a glance with Jimin with uncertainty in her eyes.

"Kim's bride, let us help with these clothes and jewellery," the maids came forward and gently took the heavy materials from the younger's hands.

Jimin reassured the tensed Jungkook, "Grandma knows what she's doing. Let's get you ready for the reception, and maybe tonight will be a turning point for all of us."

Jungkook could only smile and hope for it.

•————-🥀————-•

Meanwhile, Taehyung followed Grandma Kim to another part of the house. Grandma Kim finally broke the silence.

"Tae," she began, "your relationship with Jungkook is like any other. It will be a journey full of challenges. Every family has its ups and downs but remember—her past doesn't define who she is. It doesn't matter who her mother is or what others may think. What matters now is how you choose to move forward."

Taehyung remained quiet, listening intently as they walked further into the private space Grandma Kim had led them to.

"you need to start seeing Jungkook for what she is—your wife. Not just someone you were forced to marry but your partner, someone who will stand by your side no matter what. You've been treating her like an outsider and that's not what marriage is about."

Taehyung didn't interrupt. He felt her words settling in his chest.

"I know you didn't choose her," Grandma Kim continued, stepping closer and placing hand on his arm, "but fate has its way of working. She's here now, in your life, in this family, and it's time you accepted that she's not just someone you're stuck with—Jungkook is your wife, Taehyung. The sooner you realize that the sooner you'll see how much stronger the two of you can be together."

She looked into his eyes, waiting for him to respond, but he stayed quiet, his thoughts swirling. Grandma Kim knew she'd hit the heart of the matter and wasn't afraid to push a little more.

Taehyung felt a strange tug in his chest, a mixture of guilt, realization and something else he wasn't ready to name yet. He nodded slowly, the words sinking deeper than he'd anticipated.

"I'll think about it," he said quietly, his voice low but sincere.

Grandma stepped closer, her hand resting gently on Taehyung's chest, over his heart. "When you hold her hand, it should be to guide her, not just keep her close. When you speak to her, it should be to connect, not merely instructing. Jungkook is your wife, Tae, and her rights in your life are as significant as your own."

Taehyung looked down at his grandmother's hand on his chest, feeling her words. his actions and attitudes toward Jungkook began to settle heavily on his shoulders.

"I understand, Grandma," he said quietly, his voice thick with emotion.

Grandma Kim led Tae towards his mother's room.

Knocking gently, Grandma Kim announced, "It's time to join the celebration, my dear Soomin."

Soomin opened the door with a cautious expression. Grandma Kim began, "Your presence is essential tonight, dear. Jungkook needs the support of her new family, and you are her mother-in-law, which makes you a crucial part of it. Moreover, jungkook needs to be introduced."

"Mother, if you want to welcome that girl then you do it privately. Why did you invite so many people?" Soomin said.

"Soomin, Jungkook is the daughter-in-law of this house. And she will receive the same respect and love a daughter-in-law receives."

His mother hesitated. Grandma Kim continued, "The strength of a family lies in its ability to come together, especially in challenging times. Don't let the past ruin the future."

Soomin remained steadfast in her reluctance to accept Jungkook, "Mother, you are talking about family unity. After bringing that girl who is trained to be a homewrecker."

Grandma Kim said, "I understand your concerns, but family is about overcoming differences for the sake of love and unity. Jungkook is now a part of our family, and it's essential to embrace that reality."

Tae's mother shook her head, her expression unyielding. "I appreciate your intentions, but I cannot pretend everything is okay. This reception won't change the fact that I never approved of this marriage."

Grandma Kim responded in a final voice, " I don't want to listen to anything. Get ready and come downstairs"

The Elder Kim declared and left the room angrily.

The Kim Manor was filled with chaos as preparations for the reception were in full form. Elegant floral arrangements adorn the venue.
A team of skilled decorators were busy putting the rich, burgundy drapes throughout the hall, the royal fabric highlighting the luxurious golden accents.

The dining tables are adorned with centrepieces and glass vases of roses and lilies. Staff members arrange tables and chairs.

In Taehyung's room

Jungkook stood in the centre of the room, her fingers adjusting the folds of her dress. Her breath was slow, her eyes occasionally darting to the mirror to catch glimpses of her reflection.

The door creaked open, causing a hush to fall over the scene. The makeup artists and attendants working to perfect Jungkook's appearance paused in their tasks. Their brushes and tools hovered mid-air as Grandma Kim entered.

Jungkook's heart raced as she saw Grandma Kim. Her eyes widened slightly, the corners of her lips turning upward in a polite smile. She smoothed her dress, her fingers trembling just a bit as she adjusted the fabric.

Grandma Kim's gaze softened as she approached, she reached out and pressed a soft kiss to Jungkook's forehead. The touch was warm, like a silent blessing that conveyed acceptance and love.

"I will make Kim's bride ready," Grandma Kim announced.

Jungkook eyes met Grandma Kim's with gratitude and anxiety. Grandma Kim began her work, she adjusted the necklace that rested delicately on Jungkook's collarbone.

Jungkook's hands fidgeted with the edge of her dress. She cast quick, nervous glances at the mirror, watching as Grandma Kim worked. The makeup artists remained close by, their eyes observing the process.

Grandma Kim gently pulled two designed bangles from her jewellery box and held them up for Jungkook to see.

"These," Grandma Kim began, "are traditional jewels of the Kim family. They represent our lineage, our history and the strength of our family."

She carefully placed the bangles on Jungkook's wrist.

"Wearing these," Grandma Kim continued, "is more than an adornment. It signifies that you are now a part of this family, with all the rights and responsibilities that come with it."

Jungkook's eyes widened slightly, the significance of the gesture sinking in. Grandma Kim's gaze was filled with kindness.

"These bangles symbolise our trust in you," she said, "and a reminder that you hold a cherished place in our family. As Taehyung's wife, you have not only his love but also the respect and support of the Kim family."

Jungkook looked at the bangles on her wrist. She nodded slowly.

"Thank you, Grandma Kim," Jungkook replied, "I will honour these traditions and the place I've been given in your family."

Grandma Kim's smile was approving and she gave Jungkook a pat on the shoulder. "Remember, Jungkook, you are not just wearing these jewels—you are embracing a new chapter, one where you are valued and loved.

Stand proud and confident, for you are now a Kim."

"Perfect," Grandma Kim said finally, she stepped back to admire her work. "You look radiant."

Jungkook met Grandma Kim's gaze in the mirror. Her cheeks were flushed with a soft pink, her eyes shimmering. She offered a small smile, her hands resting at her sides.

Grandma Kim glanced at Jungkook with a final nod. The elderly lady's demeanour shifted to one of business-like efficiency as she took a step back.

"Bring Jungkook downstairs shortly," Grandma Kim instructed a command that left no room for argument. The attendants immediately sprang into action.

Jungkook's heart skipped a beat as she realized the moment she had been dreading was fast approaching. Her fingers instinctively moved to smooth out any last wrinkles in her dress, her gaze nervously flitting from one person to another.

Grandma Kim offered one last glance before turning and exiting the room.

Jimin with excitement. "You look stunning, sister-in-law," she exclaimed, carefully adjusting the delicate fabric.

Junglook tried to hide her flushed face and tried to question in her strict tone (keyword: tried), "Why did you start calling me like this? We're best friends, right?"

"Yeah, we are. But along with it, you are my eldest brother's wife who is 5 years older than me. So, respect must be given," jimin explained slightly tucking the veil on Younger's shoulder.

Jimin secured a sparkling hairpin, she smiled, "hyung won't know what he would hit on once he sees you. You're a hypnotizing sight."

Jungkook, blushing at the compliment, replied, "I just hope everything goes smoothly tonight."

Jimin brought jungkook near the full-length mirror and declared, "You're ready to steal the show and leave everyone breathless,"

The younger, looking at her reflection, felt excitement and nerves. Her doe eyes traced the reflection from bottom to top. The dress hugged her silhouette, accentuating her grace.

The sky-blue dress, with its silver and gold trimmings, complemented her well. The heavy red and gold jewellery added a queenly touch, completing the attire.

Jungkook took a deep breath, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the support and help around her.

The bangles clinked softly as they adorned Jungkool's wrists and the anklets made faint sounds along with the clinking of bangles.
The maids added the finishing touches.

"It's time for the final touch," Jimin said softly. She held the deep red veil, its rich fabric adorned with golden embroidery that shined in the light. With a gesture, Jimin signalled a maid to come closer.

The maid approached with a small smile. Together, they held the corners of the veil and draped it over Jungkook's small frame.

Jungkook's world was momentarily transformed into a sea of red. Her eyes, peeking through the delicate fabric, were wide and innocent, reflecting nervousness.
