(3rd POV)

Adam: IT'S YOU!!

Adam was radiating hatred, but Y/n's trumped his. Y/n has been a thorn in Adam's side ever since that day. If he knew it would have turned out this way he would've killed Y/n then.

Y/n let of the unconscious lieutenant, his body making a loud bang against the metal floor. He twirled his guns around until he was dual wielding daggers. Adam grabbed the hilt of his sword and took his stance, both fighter ready to strike.

Adam: I'll make sure I kill you this time!

Y/n: I was about to say the same thing!

Being the faster of the two, Y/n closed the distance in between them. Adam used some of the energy he had stored up to send a horizontal and vertical wave of red energy. Y/n slid under the first one and dodged the second.

Using the momentum from the dodge, Y/n spun kick attack right in the ribs. Adam shot his sword out of its sheath (he legit can do this), hitting Y/n in the guy, before he grabbed the sword and slashed at Y/n.

Y/n slid back from the force of the attack. A group of white fang soldiers rushed into the room and started firing at Y/n. Running across the armory, barely staying ahead of the bullets, Y/n vaulted off one of the retrofitted mechs, stabbing two grunts in the chest as he landed on them.

The soldiers didn't have time to retrain their sights on Y/n as he was already behind them shooting both of them, before moving onto the next pair and doing the same.

Y/n: You really don't like fighting your own battles Adam

Adam: Those idiots are the ones who ran in here!

Y/n charged at Adam, shooting away, while Adam masterfully blocked all the bullets. Their blades clashed in the middle sending sparks flying as they butted heads, growling at one another.

They both jumped back and started firing at each other. Several of their bullets collided with each other, sending shrapnel all over. Adam started throwing several waves at Y/n, who in turn left shadowy versions of himself.

Adam's attack flew through the waves, crashing into the wall behind Y/n. Using the distraction, Y/n charged at Adam from behind. Right when we was about to strike him down the entire base shook, tripping up Y/n.

It gave Adam enough time to turn around and leave a slash across Y/n's stomach. Y/n blocked the next attack and kicked Adam away. They clashed blades again, both parrying each others attacks.

Y/n started spinning his weapons, shooting and slashing in every second, making it nearly impossible to counter. A bullet flew right past Adam's face and grazed his mask, destroying it.

Y/n: Your scarred face always disgusts me

Adam: Shut up!

Y/n: Those Schnees sure did a good job

Adam: Don't you dare say that name!

Adam charged at Y/n in a blind rage. Y/n phased through the attacks, making Adam's blade crash into the ground. He stepped on the blade, stopping Adam from lifting it.

Having a perfect opportunity to attack, Y/n started slashing away. Adam couldn't do anything, but take hit after hit.

Y/n: Say goodby Adam!

Right when Y/n was about to kill Adam, he was tackled by the lieutenant. Y/n inwardly groaned at the intervention. He already regrets not killing him when he had the chance.

WFL: I can't let you kill Adam. He's my ticket to killing the Schnees

Y/n: Do you all hate the Schnees? What a bland bunch!

Lieutenant ripped a metal panels off a mech and throwing them at Y/n. Since they were slow and large moving projectiles, Y/n was able to easily dodge them. He quickly dashed out of the way from the giant gun thrown at him.

Y/n noticed that the lieutenant was purposely staying back and making sure to throw whatever he could. He realized he was trying to distract him from Adam.

Quickly focusing back on Adam, he saw him jumping up on his ronin looking mech. After a few seconds in came roaring to life. Small red lights flashed around the under armor making it have a crimson glow.

Adam: Lets see if you can survive this!

(Y/n POV)

Y/n: You love to cheat don't you!

Adam: Shut up and die!

Adam managed to use his semblance on the mech's sword, creating a massive wave of red energy that completely obliterated the entire armory as it came straight at me.

There wasn't anyway I could dodge the attack. It slammed into my daggers and pushed me back against the door. The heat coming from it was burning my hands.

It started to become for unstable, a few stay bolts of energy shot off of it, cutting me across my body and face, until it final exploded, forcing me out of the room with the door.

I slowly got up, groaning in pain. Team RWBY were just down the corridor staring at me.

Y/n: What are your idiots doing?! Keep going I've already got this covered!

I ran back into the room and dodged a bullet shot from the mechs rifle. I teleported above him and stabbed both my daggers into his windshield.

He tried to grab me and pull me off, but I kicked off the glass, and vaulted over the hand. Landing in front him, I ran through its legs, kicked off of the lieutenant's chest and stabbed into the back of Adam's mech.

Right when I opened the hatch a chunk of metal hit me in the back, knocking me off. I barely had enough time to block Adam's sword, but not without injury.

I was on my hands and knees, clenching my side. I was only able to redirect the attack to miss a fatal blow.

Yurei: Let me out Y/n. I can kill them all right now

Y/n: No!

Yurei: You know it's going to get harder to contain me the longer you fight them

Y/n: Shut up!

I stumbled to my feet and focused my blurry vision on Adam and his lieutenant.  They were both littered with injury's as well, but they had the numbers advantage and stronger firepower.

Y/n: Fuck! I can't win this fight!

Adam: Then just lay down and die!

Y/n: I can't do that either!

I used the last of my energy to turn my body into its black mist and rushed out of the room. I continued down the hallway team RWBY went down and arrived at a landing pad.

The first thing I saw was Ruby and Yang being held hostage while Blake and Weiss were frozen. I didn't have the energy to do anything anymore, so I watched how it would play out.

All of a sudden the image vanished and the Bullhead was already flying away. I was confused on what just happened. Ruby was busy yelling at her teammates for lying about her and Yang being held hostage.

I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating from blood loss. Soon after team CFVY ran over to RWB. I couldn't hear what was said anymore. In the blink of an eye a Bullhead with Beacon's logo landed and out came Ozpin.

This place already had a bad reputation because it's a reminder of another loss. As quickly as I could I made my way over.

Ozpin: Where's Y/n?

Y/n: I'm right here Professor

I gave a slight wave as I held onto my side. I haven't looked to see how bad the cut is, but from all the blood coming out I knew it wasn't pretty.

Weiss: What happened to you?

Y/n: I lost

I walked past all of them after my simple reply. I failed my goal, so why would I stay any longer. Everyone silently loaded onto the Bullhead. I grabbed the medkit and mock bandaged my wound.

We weren't going to be at Beacon for awhile so it was the only thing stopping me from dying.

Ozpin: How did they get away?

Ruby: Weiss and Blake let them get away!

Weiss: You were being held hostage!

Ruby: No I wasn't!

I already forgot how much they annoyed me on the way here and now they are screaming. I felt my anger boil over as they kept accusing the other for the loss.

Y/n: Shut up! It's all of your faults!

Weiss: Hey you lost too!

Y/n: I already said I did! All you guys have done is try to blame each other! Your a team so your all at fault for losing!

Ruby: You wouldn't be saying that if you were there! You didn't see what happened!

Y/n: It doesn't matter what happened! You all lost simple as that

Ozpin: We'll be going over what happened anyways. I placed cameras on your outfits so I could see how the mission went. Find your mistake and improve. We will get them!

Adam your days are numbered. You won't win next time!

Writing fights is already hard for me and trying to make a whole chapter based on one was a challenge for myself. What did y'all think of it? Anything worth trying to improve on?
