Just to make this clear for the future and plot. Cinder is top dog. Think of them like the mafia and she is the don. Salem is the name of said mafia. She is not actually real and Grimm are not real. Hunters and Huntresses are like Military Police.

(3rd POV)

Blake: Well he's gone...

Weiss: He didn't even give us our part of the plan

Ren: I don't think he intended to give us one

Coco: Then we'll have to make one. Since my team is the most experienced we get final say

Ruby: We can try and sneak in?

Pyrrha: Lure them out?

Nora: Lets break its legs!

Ren: It doesn't have legs Nora

Coco: I guess sneaking in is the best plan of action

Everyone started flushing out their plan. They couldn't just teleport down like Y/n, so walking was their best option. Nora didn't care for the whole stealth idea so she decided to hang back and fiddle with her grenade launcher.

She wasn't paying attention to where she was going and tripped over a rock, dropping her launcher hard enough to cause it to fire.

Everyone stopped and stared at Nora, while she innocently whistled and handed her weapon to Ren. They all turned their attention towards the base when a massive explosion tore through a dust warehouse, causing a chain reaction across the entire base.

Nora: Hehe sorry...

Coco: Front door it is then

The teams ran all the way down and into the base. You could barely see your own hands in the dust and smoke. Red lights pierced through it, giving them a direction to head in. Alarms barely audible over the roaring fires.

Once they got closer to the lights they realized it was to the door that enters the interior. Crews of white fang carrying whatever water based equipment they could find rushed in and out trying to fight back the chaos Nora had created.

The only lights on inside the base were emergency lights. It gave them plenty of dark spots to hid in while soldiers ran by.

They continue this until they reached a massive round room with door going up and down the walls. It was full of white fang grunts rushing to put on their outfits and finish up whatever they were eating.

Based on the looks of the people in here they could only guess they were in the barracks... blocking the only door towards the chaos...

The entire barracks was looking directly at them, both sides frozen in shock.

WFG: Get them!

Coco: Crap... Ruby, Jaune take your teams and keep searching for Cinder! We'll take care of these guys!

Jaune complied, running past the grunts who were tripping over their clothes and out the closest exit.

Ruby: Are you sure?

Coco: Ruby we're team CVFY. Do you think a bunch of thugs can beat us?

Ruby: R-Right sorry.. Be safe!

Team RWBY were about to follow team JNPR, but the grunts had already block the path they took, forcing them to turn around and go out the door they came.

Weiss: You dolt! Now we're separated from JNPR

Yang: It's not her fault. She was just concerned for CFVY

Ruby: Can we just focus on the mission?

They continued to traverse the maze of a base the white fang built. They were almost positive that even the people who worked here got lost.

They looked at the signs posted on the door as they ran by. Hoping one of them would be the worth investigating. Some of the rooms had windows making it easier when searching.

Ruby was almost smashed by the metal door that came flying off the room they where about to run by. Y/n was laying on the door groaning in pain.

He sprung back up and glared over at team RWBY as they awkwardly waved at him.

Y/n: What are your idiots doing?! Keep going I've already got this covered!

He ran back into the room that he just flew out of. They looked at each other silently trying to decide if they should help, but decided against it seeing how mad you already were. As RWBY ran by they all glanced into the room.

A majority of the room was on fire and electrical wires were sparking all over the place. They couldn't see Y/n or whoever he was fighting, but they heard the clashes of metal on metal.

Not to far down the corridor was a hanger. With all that happened, then their enemies first move would be trying to escape. Nora's little blunder had worked immensely it drawing away a lot of the guards.

Entering the hanger they saw a bunch of downed white fang and JNPR losing their fight against Cinder and her goons.

Quickly rushing down to join the fight, Ruby used her semblance to reach the landing pad, and take a shot at Cinder, only to have it block by an umbrella. Neo closed it with a smug grin as she looked at Ruby.

Ruby's team quickly stood in front of the downed team JNPR, ready to take their turn to fight Cinder.

Cinder: You hunters sure are persistent

Ruby: Give up Cinder! You aren't getting away this time!

Cinder: You've said that every time

Ruby: Well it's true this time!

Cinder: You said that too

Ruby: S-Shut Up!

Ruby dashes forward with a recoiled boosted swing, only to have it blocked by Neo again. Neo kicked her in the chest, knocking Ruby on her back.

Before Neo could stab Ruby with her umbrella, Yang punched her, but she shattered into tiny pieces and reappeared next to Cinder.

Cinder's lackeys charged toward team RWBY, choosing their targets. Neo vs. Ruby, Mercury vs. Yang, Roman vs. Weiss, and Emerald vs. Blake.

Ruby's and Neo's fight, it was a battle of endurance. Both short, but equally badass girls (*cough* best girls *cough*) abuses their semblances. Ruby would dash towards each illusion, shattering them leaving thousands of tiny pieces before they fully disappeared.

Ruby having the speed based semblance, managed to destroy them faster then Neo could make them, causing Ruby to catch up the the real one. Ruby kicked her with a recoiled powered dash combined with her semblance, sending her into the Bullhead they were going to escape on, knocking out Neo. Ruby soon collapsed from exhaustion from using her semblance for so long and in quick succession.

Yang dodged a kick sent towards her head. She grabbed Mercury's leg and punched him in the face, slamming him into the ground. Rolling to avoid another punch, Mercury sprung back up.
Sweep kicking Yang, he brought his foot down on her stomach, slamming her harder into the floor. Yang gasped for air as Mercury kicked her across the landing pad.

Yang stumbled a little when she stood up. Mercury's kicks weren't normal. His robotic legs added that extra oomf, making them hurt more. Yang wouldn't let that stop her though. This was the best shot they would get to take down Cinder for a while. Yang activated her semblance, using the stored up damage she gained from the kicks.

She dodged another kick and slammed her elbow into his knee, destroying the electronics. Still holding onto his leg, she slammed him into the ground. She was about to punch him in the face, but Mercury spun his body hard enough to rip off his destroyed leg, dodge the hit, and kick Yang on the side of her face, knocking her out.

Not being much of a fighter, Roman stood back and smiled away at Weiss. Weiss used her glyphs to close the distance. She speared past him cutting his cheek. Roman was surprised at the speed she just launched herself at.

Roman, with pin point precision blocked her next attack, already learning the timing. He smacked his cane into her stomach and then into her back, sending her to the floor. Weiss used her glyphs to push herself away from another attack. The chamber rolled over to red (Fire) dust.

In quick succession, Weiss shot several fireballs at Roman, then switched to cyan (Hard-Light) dust and created 5 glyphs that shot fast moving projectiles that curved around the fireballs. Roman was overwhelmed by the amount of projectiles shot at him, blowing him back next to Cinder.

Ok I like to put a little bit of research into my stories so I can get things right, but god damn is Weiss's semblance confusing! And Blake's weapon has like 3-5 variations depending on how you look at it. At least Yang and Ruby have some straight forward abilities and weapons.

Anyways...

Blake and Emerald's fight had dragged on for a while. Both used their agility to dodge any attacks thrown at them, and were starting to tire. Blake dual wielded her sword and its sheath (It has a blade on it apparently) and attacked Emerald as fast as she can.

The slashes Emerald couldn't dodge, her curved blades would reflect the blade away from her. Emerald used the gap in between attacks to shoot at Blake. Just as the bullet hit Blake, the clone disappeared, and Blake appeared above Emerald. She used the rope (or is it a chain?... ribbon? Whatever) and wrapped in around Emerald neck. She used her back to lift Emerald off the ground and threw her into Roman, who was about to throw a fire dust crystal at Weiss.

Fights scenes are tough. Why do my favorite shows have to be almost completely about fighting people.

Both Weiss and Blake raised their weapons at Cinder and her lackeys. They had them corned. This was their chance to take them down. They both charged at them, running side by side. They tripped over themselves when they saw the scene in front of them.

Ruby and Yang were being held at gun point. They never even saw them move so how did they capture them?

Ruby: Guys you can win! Go!

Ruby's voice fell deaf to Weiss and Blake's ears. Ruby was confused why they were standing there. She watched as Cinder got on the Bullhead and started to fly away with her goons.

Abruptly the scene before Blake and Weiss disappeared. They were completely bewildered. They both watched as the Bullhead flew off in the distance, wondering what just happened.

Team CFVY entered the hanger, holding their injured body parts, panting. They managed to beat the people in the barracks, but they ran into several other barracks trying to find the other.

Looked down at team RWBY and a downed JNPR they could tell they lost. Even if they managed to take down a massive white fang base and secure a lot of stolen dust the head still cut itself off and flew away.

They got closer to the teams and heard Ruby yelling at her two teammates.

Ruby: What happened?! You guys had a perfect chance to finish this all!

Weiss: No we didn't they had you and Yang held hostage!

Ruby: What?! I've been over here with Yang the entire time!

Blake: How could you be way over here if we both saw you being held hostage?

Ruby: Stop lying!

Weiss: We aren't!!

Coco: Whoa guys lets take a breath and chill out. Emotions are high and we aren't in the right mindset to discuss this

Weiss: But—

Blake: Weiss just drop it

Weiss:...Fine

A Bullhead with Beacon's logo landed. Ozpin walked out of it, inspecting the teams. He wanted to yell at them for failing again, but knew that would be unfair. They weren't going after some low level thugs. This was Salem they were targeting. The largest criminal faction know to man.

Ozpin: Where's Y/n?

Y/n: I'm right here Professor

Y/n shuffled into the hanger. He was holding a large gash on his side. Blood coated half of his body.

Weiss: What happened to you?

Y/n: I lost

He walked past all of them and boarded the Bullhead. He wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. Adam managed to escape again. He still wasn't strong enough to defeat him.

CFVY all noticed how Ruby was avoiding her teammates. They all were wondering what happened to make them act this way. Their team had some of the strongest bonds so what could have cracked them?

Ozpin: How did they get away?

Ruby: Weiss and Blake let them get away!

Weiss: You were being held hostage!

Ruby: No I wasn't!

Y/n: Shut up! It's all of your faults!

Weiss: Hey you lost too!

Y/n: I already said I did! All you guys have done is try to blame each other! Your a team so your all at fault for losing!

Ruby: You wouldn't be saying that if you were there! You didn't see what happened!

Y/n: It doesn't matter what happened! You all lost simple as that

Ozpin: We'll be going over what happened anyways. I placed cameras on your outfits so I could see how the mission went. Find your mistake and improve. We will get them!

This is the longest chapter I've ever written! 2238 words!

I would say I did good again? I kinda wasted a good chunk of my day writing this. Not that, that's a bad thing. I just could of been a little more productive with other things too...

Anyways Good? Bad? Both? I really want the criticism so I know what could be improved!
