Hyun Seung POV

"Huh...?" I exclaimed as I found myself crouching on the floorwhile holding my head. What in the shadows just happened?

"Hyun Seung-ah! Let's fight our way through as soon as we can!" Du Jun said as he was in the middle of fighting the black glob of human.

"Seungi-oppa~ Yoon Ki can't kept on using his power forever righr? That's why we need your power!" Yoseop said cutely to annoy him on purpose as he was shielding Yuri from damage.

"Oppa! You are our best friend that we never had before! So stand up proudly and fight!" Yuri said as she was writing something onto a paper(th paper that are used for protection charms back in thr mansion).

"Everyone...gomawoyo.." I thanked them as I tried to stand up.

As I stood up, the skull necklace that I was wearing for years, came out dangling from my jacket. It was glowing and disintergrating at the same time...I could feel a surge of energy inside of me. I guess I'm ready to fight! Yes, the curse has removed due to the dark energy that allowed me to get my memories back.

Yoseop POV

I saw hyun seung standing up, eyes with determination and ready to fight. Somehow, he seemed different from the first time we met...

Flashback...

It was a cold winter when I got forced out of the house and got separated from my younger sister just because of me being the purified being. I decided to leave those painful memories burried in the white snow and never bring them up again. I wandered around the streets and came across a blonde boy, of around my age. He somehow looked emotionless and sad. He came from the palace if I'm not mistaken.

I decided to make my first approach. I poked him on the face since I don't know his name yet. He seemed not to give a single damn at all.

"Oyyyyy!!!"

"..."

"Talk to me will you!" I pouted.

"..."

After that, I bursted and swUng his shoulders back and forth lik a maniac. He didnt seem to care until he let out a small sentence.

"Who am I...?"

"EH?? YOU DON'T REMEMBER?! LET ME TELL YOU YOUR NAME AFTER I SNIFF YOU OUT!" I exclaimed as I began checking.

He got this Jang's aura in him and he can wield the ice as his power but somehow his true powers are concealed within him. Hm...he's Hyun Seung I think...I think I saw him before...

"Your name is Jang Hyun Seung! That's all I can tell you but I can't be so sure about it," I told him, ehich somehow pleased him, a little.

"Gomawo..." he thanked.

"My name is Yang Yo Seop! Nice to meet you!" I introduced as I extend my arms for him to shake hands with.

He did tje same and immediately we became friends. He told me that he never had a place to return to. Thus, we are in the same boat and decided to look for a place and rest.

End of flashback...

"Blizzard Blitz!" Hyun Seung yelled as he caused a thousands of icy shards to land onto the army of human globs, which also created a pathway for them.

"Let's move on now, everyone!" Du Jun signalled as they all charged into the opened path.

Soon, without knowing it, we had arrived to the palace Gate.

Yuri POV

We finally arrived at the palace. Trust me, Geu Rim, I wont hurt your brother! I will find a way to end this without hurting anyone in the end. Hyun Seung quickly created a frozen barrier to prevent unwanted enemies from following us into the palace while Du Jun kicked the door open without a problem even though the door is huge. We all entered the palace and found out that the palace had lost its glory of everything. It became a basement which somehow looked like a total maze that can trap us in for good. I saw some mirrors placed just beside the wall.

"Jun Hyung-ah, we're in!" Du Jun explained to Jun Hyung but the headset communication failed. "Dang....we can't communicate to the outside."

"Let's go up!" I suggested and ran towards the stairs but before they could stop me, my eyes averted to the mirror and saw my reflection but in a black gown. It must be that fake princess! Or should I say, Kan Yuri, Yoon Ki's sister.

She came out of the mirror and zoomed towards me. I couldn't dodge her from charging towards me as she was too fast. Fortunately, Hyun Seung created some ice shards that popped right in front of me and her.

Too naive, you all...

Suddenly, a kaleidoscope space is formed and the imposter is no longer to be seen. I could hear Hyun Seung and the rest of the members yelling for me. We are all being swallowed up by a kaleidoscope space and I was all alone, standing in a confusing pattern that made me wanted to faint.

Yuri, or should I say En Crest...

That voice again...it must be the real Yuri's. But where is she?

...set us free from this curse...

Curse? What does she mean?! Suddenly, I saw a body fell on the floor. It was Yuri! She crawled weakly and grabbed my foot, which nearly made me yelp.

...and let me tell you this...

What does she want me to know?

...We are one to begin with...

Huh? We are one? What is she implying? Without any single sound my vision blacked out. I found myelf falling aimlessly into the darkness.

...once you understand...I shall be perished by your hands...

What...? Why? There's no response after that as the darkness that I fell into slowly shone with a bright light which made me closed my eyes tightly. As the brightnes of the light slowly decreased, I slowly opened my eyes and just right infront of me, stood a girl in black gown. Her face was half white and half black with weird detailed designs on both sides while her hair flowed gently all the way doen to her hips. Just who is she?

The girl suddenly zoomed towards me before I could ready myself for a fight and strangled me with both of her hands. I quickly used my arm to hit her neck and began to use my sleep ability on her. It didn't work like expected. I quickly took out the papers that I can used to write charms on and wrote 'barrier' to protect myself for a few moments. Fortunately, it worked before she get to touch me.

"Who are you? What did you mean by we are one?"

"You don't get it do you? I am your dark counterpart that you abandoned since a very long time," she said as the barrier slowly cracked like a fragile shell. "So, I am here to show you what really happened since that time..."

The barrier completely broke as the girl suddenly summoned black strings that tied onto my hands and feet all of a sudden. I tried to release myself from it but my powers are useless... and yet, I fell into another slumber...

I was floating in the sky as a sudden flash of light blinded my eyes in an instant. There I saw a scene inside a bedroom of someone's. It looked bright and luxurious, the bed especially.

"Granny! What did you want to give me?" A girl of about 9 years old asked with a cheery smile. There I saw a old woman sitting on the comfy bed with the girl. She somehow reminded me of someone but who...?

The old woman took out something from her pocket and showed it to the little girl. It was a piece of rectangular paper which was similar to the ones that I used during the fight.

"Princess, each of us are born with dark and light which makes life. This paper here allows you to write anything that you wanted, which makes it happen, even separating yourself from your dark counterpart,"she said with a smile.

"Dark counterpart...? But granny, without the dark counterpart of mine, wouldn't I die?" The girl asked out of curiousity as she took the paper.

"That is for you to choose, princess. It doesn't have to be the counterparts that you will remove...it could be anything but use it wisely, it's a rare paper," was all the old woman said and left the room. "Oh, and after writing it, just put it under your pillow and the next day, it will happen."

I was then transported into another scene. It was in a large hallway, like the ones in the palace. I saw that girl again, she was talking to a boy of about a few years older than her.

"Uncle Skull, uncle skull! Let's play at the courtyard!" The girl said as she pulled the guy's sleeve of his shirt.

"Yah, En Crest! I got things to do so we'll play after that, kay?" Skull replied with a smile and patted the girl's head.

"Oppa! Come here for a sec," another girl who was carrying some bottles of liquid called, to which the boy replied.

"Kay, Geu Rim! Gotta go, see you later En Crest," Skull said and left for the girl.

En crest? Skull? Geu Rim!? What does this mean? Why did I called him uncle? Why did Geu Rim called him oppa? My eyes averted to the En Crest girl. She looked hurt and sad... somehow, I felt like there's a prickly feeling in my chest. I never felt like that before.

"Why...uncle...why did you have to leave me for auntie Geu Rim?" She asked to which no one replied.

"Why did I fell for you?
Why can't I just forget everything about it?
It just gets deeper and deeper..."

It's because you love him too much...
...and you are experiencing jealousy...

"I'm blocking you from my life! You are annoying!" En Crest yelled as she took out the paper that the old woman gave her. She wuickly ran towards her room and grabbed a pen.

'Light and darkness, I shall choose to banish the dark counterpart from my life.' Was what she wrote and put it under her pillow.

With that, she decided to take a nap and forget her thoughts. The next thing I knew is I was transferred into another scene. I was currently in her bedroom and saw En Crest waking up while there's also another girl sitting on her bedside.

"Now that you banished me, I guess you'll forget that I existed in your life...it'll be useless for me to live on like this," the girl on the bedside said. "I'll find a way to get back to you. You'll be useless without me!"

That must be her counterpart or shoulf I say, my dark counterpart... that's the reason she got banished?! Over the hardship for falling in love with Skull, I had caused her to leave my life... Suddenly, the scene blurred and revealed a familar place. It was Aunt Kan's house! The dark counterpart of mine went there and sought refuge and that's how they became family. So, Yuri, my dark counterpart was taking all that burden on her own...and she might be controlled by Skull. I gotta tell her...

Now you remembered, En Crest? And I was trying to protect you from his wretched evil plans...but you still remained dense.

"I'm sorry for not noticing...and I'm very sorry for banishing you from my life..." I apologised as I slowly approached to her.

I could see tears forming on her eyes as I approached closer to her.

"I'll fight him for us...and..." I slowly began but she cut me off.

Don't kill him! He's actually being controlled...I could see that. That's why I decided to confront you face to face.

I hugged her and calmed her from fighting too much. I guess I kind of understand how she felt.

"Will you fight with me? We will become one and free Skull's curse together with our friends!" I suggested with a smile.

Wouldn't you kill me once you understood about what had happened?

I shook my head as the answer. Why would I do that? When she's part of me. All of a sudden, the barrier lifted and the imposter's body began to glow, so as mine too. As soon as the barrier completely disappeared, I saw the rest were standing in their fighting stances. I guess they were fighring for a while...
