No one's POV

As soon as Jun Hyung, the brain of the group fell due to the massive obstruction caused by Pierre in Skull's body, everyone's anger especially Yuri's piled up until she was in the verge of stabbing Pierre on his face. That's when the real battle starts!

"Everyone, this is Geu Rim-sshi, I managed to connect with you guys so I will assist you all in battle," Geu Rim began. "Hyun Seung and Du Jun will stop Skull's movements while Dong Woon will assist them in powering up their defense. Gi Kwang will defeat the remaining enemies that will spawn in about 30seconds. Yuri will use the blade, as soon as Pierre was stopped, to chant out one of your creations and during the encantation time, you'll need to stab your poem book with the sandstorm blade. By then, you will have to draw out a transmutation circle with the blade and concentrate on your casting. All of these are being given out by Jun Hyung before he..."

"Darn it all...if only I'm fast enough to bethere on time..." Hyun Seung blamed himself while glaring at the still in action Pierre.

"Just focus on your tasks so that Jun Hyung will be relieved," Geu Rim stated. "I will be right behind you guys."

And so, thr fight continues with Hyun Seung and Du Jun chasing the vigourously moving Pierre while casting his dark globs onto them. The two managed to dodge on time beforr the black glob manage to touch them. As for Dong Woon, he was manipulating his power to create a shielding armor for Hyun Seung and Du Jun.

"Persistent rats as always even if you guys had lost your strategist...I guess I'll deal woth you guys with my final weapon," Pierre taunted as he landed onto the group, causing an earthquake around his area. There he began to gather all the miasma in the area to form a plasma ball while letting out a loud growl. At the same time, a few dark balls spawned around the area and began charging towards the two.

Fortunately, Gi Kwang arrived on time and attacked the enemies as swiftly as possible. As for Du Jun, he had no choice but to help Gi Kwang as he couldn't use his power due to the clouds that covered the hole of light(which Yuri just created a while ago). Hyun Seung then had no choice but to stop the plasma from being shot by shooting some ice onto the plasma's direction as he just stood there concentrating on his powers.

As for Yuri, she did what Geu Rim instructed as she was in the middle of making a circle big enough to fit whatever that has to be written inside of it. She was lucky to know how to do this on her own due to the experiences she gain from her dark counterpart.

"Final weapon, Dark Missile!" Pierre yelled out loud and launched the plasma onto Hyun Seung's direction. Du Jun and Gi Kwang couldn't get close to Hyun Seung as the black balls were actually a diversion to force them to one place.

Hyun Seung remained calm and composed as if he was letting the missile to hit him, bulls eye. Pierre just laughed at how stupid Hyum Seung can be. Suddenly, a sudden gust of blizzard wind blew towards the missile's direction. It was Hyun Seung, he was manuplating his powers to slow down the missile's movement by freezing it even though it may be risky. But the missile couldn't be stopped and kabooshed at Hyun Seung. Yuri nearly stopped her incantation inside the circle but was being stopped by Geu Rim as she said that Hyun Seung will be fine.

And so, the fog-like layer slowly vanished and revealed the current situation that the two humans were in. Hyun Seung was just behind of Pierre, who was still laughing at what had happened like a mad scientist as Pierre remained oblivious of what really did happened. By the time Pierre realised what sitaution he was in, Hyun Seung quickly restrained his movement by freezing his legs and binding his arms with ice chains that are unbreakable.

As if on cue, Yuri managed to completed her incantation and mnaged to stab her poem book and unleashed a powerful attack through the transmutation circle. The attack then launched itself towards Pierre which then pierced right through Pierre's chest. After that, he was flat on the floor while breathing hard.

"Seung-ah...you did...well..." Skull whispered which caught Hyun Seung's attention. Even Geu Rim and everyone else, alive approached to Skull.

"Hyung! Stay still, we'll get help somehow!" Hyun Seung said as he held his older brother's upper body for support.

"Yuri-ah, can you manage this somehow?" Du Jun asked to which Yuri said she can as she took out one of the protection charms tht she had on stand by.

"No, EnCrest...use that remaining power to save the Shadows. The absorption is now 55% so the seal has appeared on your forehead," Skull assured. "I'll...be fine...even if I were to die, you must live on."

"Don't sayssuch things, oppa!" Geu Rim yelled as her tears just kept on falling. "You won't die just yet!"

Without any other word, Yuri quickly place a protective charm onto Skull's injured area and chanted something onto it. Even though the chances for him to be saved might be very low, Yuri still didn't gave up.

"I won't let you die just yet! I'm still full of strength so nothing will stop me from saving you and the Shadows!" Yuri said as she was in the verge of crying. "So, please don't say things like that!"

Skull just smiled sadly and apologised for everything and for what he did to her parents. Yuri just assured him that he's not the one at fault. It was Pierre's.

"En Crest...no, Yuri...come closer to me..." Skull whispered with a smile, which Yuri just obeyed.

"Saranghaeyo, Yuri-ah..." Skull said as he planted a kiss onto Yuri's cheek which the crowd just stared at them dumbfouded. Even Yuri was blushing hard. Never expected that coming.

"Saranghaeyo, Skull-oppa!" Yuri replied with a smile but faded away once Skull asked her for a final request.

"Can you recite one of the poems that you written with your feelings?"

Yuri knew that after she did the request, he will leave her, forever.

"Can't you request it as if this will be your first?" Yuri asked with a frown.

"Mianhe, Yuri-ah..." Skull said with a slight laughter.

And so, Yuri did his request....

Darkness and light
Bind together for eternality
Never once separated nor destroyed
Once the light beserks
The darkness will put it to a halt.

Shadow and silhouette
Were similar beings
Never collide with each other
Yearned to meet each other
By the light of the day

You and me
Were once separated by force
But reunited by fate
Wishing that god will bind us together
Was never a wish come true
You were taken away from me
I was being taken away from you
Hoping that one day
We shall be reborn together again
and hoped that our paths will cross.

"That was one of the nicest poem I've ever heard," someone said which turned out to be Jun Hyung. He was alive all along?!

"Yah, Jun Hyung, you were alive!?" Du Jun exclaimed, nearly had a heartattack.

"Heh, you guys were like my chess pieces that I manipulate from your backs. I wouldn't die so easily," Jun Hyung teased his friends to ease the tension.

"Please explain!" Hyun Seung demanded with his serious demeanor.

"I did this risky tactic to increase you people's morale since you guys were all over the place. Plus I stuck a protection charm onto Skull's body during that weak close combat of mine which can protect his mortal body and punch out that evil spirit," Jun Hyung proudly explained. "Thanks to Geu Rim, who approved of it!" Which Geu Rim judt got startled.

"I...guess you made good buddies...huh?" Skull asked in a joking tone.

Suddenly, the Core roared and causing their current location to corrode and break. The marking that Skull had been talking about appeared on Yuri's forehead which was alot more obvious.

"I guess I shall carry out my destiny," Yuri exclaimed as she stood up frombher current position. "Even if I don't know how this marking works, I shall lend my power to you to save the Shadows."

"We will help!" Yoseop exclaimed all of a sudden, startling the group.

And so, Yuri unleashed her true powers to stop the Core from destroying the Shadows with the help of her friends. After that, a ball of light flashed in frpnt of them and at that instant, the Core was destroyed.

One day later...

"I'm glad that the kingdom is finally undergoing a restoration project," Yoon Ki said to his mom, who was busy giving out some rice porridge to those people who had lost their homes.

"Yeah...if Yuri is here with us, she'll be helping out the villagers by then," Aunt Kan stated with a sad smile. "I wonder after what had happened, where did she and the remaining others went to...?"

"I bet they might be in somewhere else safe and sound," Yoon Ki assured. "But at the same time, the Shadows will become a republic kingdom."

The end!

Yup, it's finally the end of this story. I know that you'll think that my story's like jumping here and there because it was actually unplanned so I just had to write everything down straightaway without planning. But anyway, thank you for reading till this far! Do check out my other stories XD
