94. Battle
Taehyung didn't know what he was thinking— How could he risk the lives of two Helian rebels to safely crash Greta? Now that the Helian thought back to his decision, he realized how selfish it had been. Other than that, the mere fact that neither Chuu or Yves protested his orders—
Through the corner of his eye, Taehyung glanced at the Helian couple. Chuu looked scared and was hiding behind Yves, who had both of her hands clenched into trembling fists. For a moment, the prince thought about the rest of LOONA and hoped that they were doing as planned.
Truthfully, Taehyung wished that there was another way to do this. He wished that he could save Greta somehow. But the prince knew that it was impossible, that even after fully unlocking his gem, he didn't have power to create a forcefield large enough for the ship or teleport it safely to the ground.
With his hands gripping the captain's wheel tightly, Taehyung took a deep breath. The darkness gem bearer closed his eyes. He could almost his mother's presence behind him. It made him wonder if, like Kiana, her spirit had come back to land of the living to guide him.
"Brother, do not be foolish!," Shay's voice rang in Taehyung's ears and snapped him back to reality. "Staying with Greta as she crashes— We are not leaving you behind!"
Taehyung stared at Shay. She looked like she was going to burst into tears any second, eyes squinted and lips trembling. The prince took a few moments to process the sight of his teary-eyed sister.
Long ago, Taehyung wouldn't have considered this scenario to be possible. His relationship with Shay had been so torn that he was just ready to accept being hated by her for the rest of life. Now, however, he had a little hope. Maybe things could go back to the way they used to be.
If Taehyung were to be honest, he still had no idea how he was going to escape Greta right before it crashes. He couldn't teleport as well as Shay but he could fly. Still, he made a promise to himself— he was going to live.
"Do you really think I'll let anything happen to me, sis?," Taehyung cracked a small grin as the wind blew his hair. "I'll be fine."
Shay didn't say anything, instead she whisked her head around. Jungkook spoke instead, his tone stern yet soft. "Tae? See you later, yeah?"
Taehyung couldn't help but smile back at the bunny grin Jungkook was giving him. "See you later, Kook."
However, the soft atmosphere was instantly shattered by a loud explosion so sever that Taehyung nearly lost his balance. This time, he could feel the floorboards rumble under his feet. Greta tilted deeper.
Taehyung wildly spun the captain's wheel with a powerful grip. Greta tilted back to its original position but the prince knew that it wouldn't hold for much longer.
"Jump!," Taehyung's eyes glowed purple as he gritted his teeth. "Now!"
For a moment, nobody moved. Then Taehyung saw Shay turn back at him with glassy eyes and a small grin. She nodded at the prince once and grabbed both General Jisoo and Chuu (who was clinging onto Yves) before all four of them jumped off his view.
Taehyung watched as each of the team jumped off one by one. Hoseok was whispering to Namjoon, who was hugging a trembling Jimin close to his chest. Soon the trio were off the railings. Jin and Emily held hands and disappeared with a synchronized jump. Yoongi stared at Jungkook for a while before he clacked his metal boots together and leaped with Holly.
Jungkook glanced at Taehyung over his shoulder, his gaze sharp yet reassuring. The angel then rolled his shoulders and spread all six of his wings before he slowly let go of the railings. With one gentle motion, the Hemelian prince fell out of view.
Then Taehyung realized that someone was still hanging on the railings. When the prince spotted the bright silver hair tangling together in the strong wind, along with the sharp eyes staring back at him, his eyes widened in both shock and fear.
"Sky?!," Taehyung screamed through the numerous explosions resounding from all around him. "What are you doing?! You have to go!"
You didn't say anything, instead you placed your katana in between your back and shield. Then you jumped over the railings and landed back on the deck with a gentle tap of your shoes.
Taehyung honestly had no idea what you were thinking. Before he could scream at you to get the heck away, he saw a shadow look over from above. His eyes widened when he spotted two hovering jet-bikes, their guns pointed right at you and him.
Just when Taehyung was about to react, you suddenly made a dash towards him. You then tackled him to the ground just as the Helian soldiers started to shoot at them. Greta wobbled in its place.
Taehyung was stunned. It wasn't because you had somehow gotten this close to him in a matter of seconds, instead it was because of the forcefield above him that he didn't make. You were on top of the prince, eyes glowing purple and arm outstretched in the air.
Loud beeping snapped Taehyung back to reality. He turned towards the source of the sound and saw red flashing on the holographic screen. One of Greta's main propellers have been blown off.
"Sky," Taehyung paused when the ship began to tilt again. He grabbed one of the handles of the captain's wheel. "You shouldn't be here! You have to—"
Taehyung was cut off when you grabbed him by the collar and pulled him into a kiss.
For a few seconds, Taehyung remained frozen. Then he felt the warmth of your lips move against his own. He curled his fingers into your silver hair and let himself melt into the kiss.
Taehyung couldn't hear anything else. The gunshots and explosions around him sounded like mere mumbles in his ears. Your hand snaked up to his nape and the prince hummed lowly at the touch.
When the kiss ended, Taehyung almost mustered up the courage to protest. Then he saw your beet red face and swollen lips. A small smile grew on the flushed darkness gem bearer's face.
Taehyung coughed since his throat felt dry. "What was that?"
"If you die, I'll kill you," You huffed and pulled Taehyung up to his feet. Leaning in, you squinted your eyes at him. "Make sure you're going to meet us down there after this."
Taehyung smiled. He gently grabbed the back of your head and pulled you forward. His forehead met yours. "It's a promise."
You giggled at that and Taehyung couldn't help but laugh as well. The prince felt his heart swell. It made him realize how much he truly cared about you and how he was willing to risk his life to ensure your safety.
Taehyung snapped back to reality when he started hearing the chaos around him again. Sighing, his slipped his hand off your waist and grabbed your hand. "You need to go."
"I know," You whispered and slowly let of Taehyung's hands. Just as about you were about to break into a sprint, you paused. "Hey, Taehyung?"
"Hm?," Taehyung hummed as he gripped the handles of the captain's wheel and spun it.
"Just," You carefully stepped over the ship's railings and hung over the edge, silver hair fluttering. "Stay safe for me, okay?"
Taehyung smiled again and nodded. You gave him a soft look, one fill with gratitude, before you jumped off the deck with absolutely no hesitation. Damn. He loved how brave and fearless you were.
The holographic screen beeped again. Taehyung turned towards it and saw flashing red numbers that were continuously decreasing with each second. It took a moment for the prince to realize that it was actually the distance between Greta and the ground.
Taehyung's brain ran, the gears of his mind spinning as much as the captain's wheel. He stuck his staff in between the handles of the wheel and made a dash towards the control panel.
"Seoul, South Korea," Taehyung whispered as he typed it in. There was a beep then the city's map flashed on the monitor's screen.
All the different area names almost made Taehyung's head spin then he spotted the body of water spread out across the entirety of Seoul— Han river. That was it.
Taehyung ran back to the captain's wheel, his eyes widening when he realized that Greta was low enough to hit one of Seoul's tallest skyscrapers. He spun the wheel wildly but the ship turned slowly— too slowly.
Laser beams and bullets flew everywhere. Taehyung formed a forcefield around him as he braced himself. Greta's body tilted, its bottom shaft scraping across the side of a skyscraper. Glass and debris rained to the bottom.
Taehyung stared at the unfortunate office employees he could spot through the building's gaping hole. The cubicles inside were shattered, torn files scattering in the air. His eyes widened when the foundations supporting the area's floor collapsed.
The whole floor slanted downwards and crashed onto the level below as broken tiles rained down. Before Taehyung could react, however, he felt another explosion from under Greta's floorboards.
Taehyung whipped his head towards the screen. His heart sank when he saw that Greta's last propeller was now completely destroyed— and having full control of the ship was useless.
Greta lost balance and started to tip forward. Taehyung desperately grabbed onto the handles of the captain's wheel to keep himself on deck. He had barely gotten the ship near the Han River and below were the busy (and chaotic) streets of Seoul.
Taehyung gulped loudly. Although knowing it was useless, he spun the captain's wheel. Holes tore into the fabric of Greta's wings. He was getting closer and closer to the ground, where his team and unfortunate citizens stood.
If you want to save your friends and all those innocent people — Taehyung's eyed widened when he heard his gem whisper in his mind — Then you need my power.
Taehyung glanced at his gem, which was glowing with a solid purple hue, a single letter written on its core. "And what makes you think I can trust you?"
Do I have a choice? — The gem snapped. Taehyung wondered why the darkness gem actually had the ability to speak — You are my bearer. I am under your control.
Taehyung took a moment to process his gem's words. He let go of the captain's wheel and slid across the deck until he was standing at the very edge, feet balanced on top of the railings. Greta was almost completely vertical.
With the current situation, Taehyung figured that there was no time for him to wonder how he actually got to gain full control of his gem. A loud sigh escaped the darkness gem bearer's lips as he cracked his knuckles.
"Alright," Taehyung smirked as his eyes, along with the beady orbs of his snakehead staff, glowed a bright purple. "Let's do this."
Taehyung took a deep breath. He closed his eyes and felt the strong wind blow against his face. Raising his hands, the darkness gem bearer wriggled his fingers as purple mist circled his wrists.
A surge of energy coursed through Taehyung's body but this time, he felt no pain. Instead, he felt the true power of the darkness gem. His eyes shifted to reptilian orbs but the dark purple color of his irises remained.
Taehyung slowly twisted his wrists as purple mist scattered in the air. He screamed and bared his sharp teeth as the mist wrapped around Greta's nose then it spread out to the rest of the ship's body.
Greta was still falling. Taehyung could see you and Emily brawling with some Helian soldiers at the bottom, the ship's nose heading right towards them. Although unsure of whether he could be heard or not, the prince screamed with all his might.
"Duck!," Taehyung screeched and raised both of his arms. He wobbled a bit when he felt Greta's bottom scrape the ground.
Taehyung opened his eyes, which widened when he realized that Greta was flying upwards now. He laughed in disbelief and glanced behind him to see the streets of Seoul getting farther and farther by the second.
"Holy Macht," Taehyung cracked a smirk. "I actually did it."
Before Taehyung cod completely bask in the achievement, he shook his head. He imagined a steering wheel in his hands and shifted them to the right. The prince yelped a bit at the sudden jolt of Greta turning violently.
Taehyung flinched when Greta's nose scraped off the roof of a store below. He saw tall figures roll out of the windows, including one that resembled a creature with a heart shaped head and yellow spotted blue body.
"Sorry!," Taehyung screamed and steered to the left, this time just right. He smirked when he caught sight of the Han river nearby.
When Taehyung heard multiple thumps behind him, he sighed and turned around. Five Helian soldiers were standing on Greta's deck, each holding a variety of weapons. A warship flew overhead.
"Really?," Taehyung rolled his eyes, his Vredeian accent thick. "Not even a bit of a break?"
Instead of replying, the biggest of the Helian soldiers stepped forward and pointed their spear ahead. Taehyung sighed again and fully turned around, the purple mist transferring to his one hand.
"Alright," Taehyung raised his other hand. His snakehead staff zipped through the air and landed right in his palm. "In case any of you regrets this... you asked for it."
The Helians charged with a loud battlecry. Taehyung swung his staff downwards as it morphed into a sword, its blade stabbing into the ground. He slashed the nearest soldier, who was wielding a metal spear, across the chest. Blood spluttered on his face as the opponent crumpled to the ground.
Honestly, Taehyung was surprised that he could still keep Greta afloat whilst battling. He figured that it was because his gem was finally willing to cooperate with him.
Taehyung cut down the second spearman, his bloodied body laying in front of him. Suddenly, the prince heard something crackle in the wind, like a thick string snapping in someone's grip. Looking up, he spotted a Helian archer who had stayed behind.
An arrow zipped through the air and was aimed right at Taehyung's face. The darkness gem bearer simply moved his head to the side. He felt the wind his hit cheeks as the arrow passed by.
Taehyung raised the bloody staff in his hands as it morphed into a different weapon, a spear with a sharp triangular blade. With a smirk, the prince threw it with all his might.
The spear went right through the Helian archer's stomach. As he fell to the ground dead, the remaining two soldiers faced Taehyung with their swords and guns. Although they tried to be threatening, the prince could see both of them trembling.
Taehyung paused when the hairs of his neck suddenly stood. Turning around, the Helian's eyes widened when he realized that Greta was flying right towards a tall skyscraper that resembled a spike. On the control panel's screen flashed a red text— Incoming collision with Lotte World Tower.
In a frenzy, Taehyung twisted both of his wrists. Greta immediately turned violently to the left and barely avoided the tower's base. At the same time, the two Helian soldiers fell off the deck and to their deaths with loud screams.
Taehyung stared and released a light scoff. "Huh."
Another explosion made Taehyung duck out of instinct. The monitor's beeps turned quicker, more panicked. More flames erupted and licked Greta's sails and back area. Thick grey smoke rose from the fire.
You have wasted too much ti—
"Shut up!," Taehyung hissed through gritted teeth. His eyes glowed brighter as more mist encircled Greta. "I'm almost there!"
Taehyung stomped his foot as Greta increased its pace. The ship wobbled from side to side as it dodged tall buildings and Helian warships. Han river was close now, so much so that the prince could smell the water from where he stood.
Glancing behind now, Taehyung stared at the flames that engulfed Greta's wooden seams. He licked his bottom lip and clicked his tongue. Turning back to the monitor screen, the prince watched as the distance of the ship and river slowly closed.
Taehyung took a deep breath and glanced at the monitor again. Greta was hovering right over the Han river. Almost as if on cue, the gem started to whisper again— It is now or never. Do it.
"I know," Taehyung whispered back and slowly made the mist around Greta dissipate.
Taehyung made a mad dash across Greta's deck. Since the mist around the ship's nose disappeared first, it was tilting forward rapidly. The prince groaned as he used his staff to stab into the floorboards and keep himself balance.
Once Taehyung made it to the other side of Greta, he was standing at the very end of the railings. The darkness gem bearer looked down and stared as the water started to engulf the ship.
Taehyung was suddenly hit with a wave of sorrow. He remembered a memory from his childhood, when Queen Loriza would sometimes sneak him out of the palace to show him blueprints of Greta. Back then, the prince didn't know how much impact the ship would have in his life.
The splashing of Han river's waves entered Taehyung's ears and snapped him out of his trance. He went down on one knee and formed a thin purple sphere underneath him. With a heavy heart, he flew away from Greta.
Taehyung's feet tapped against the concrete as he landed gracefully on the streets of Seoul. He watched silently as Greta slowly sank in the Han river. Thankfully, even though the force of the crash made water surge off-shore, it wasn't enough to surge through the streets.
"Brother, have you gone mad?!"
With a smile, Taehyung turned towards the voice. Shay was on a similar thin sphere he had a few moments ago. She zipped through the air before in front of the darkness gem bearer.
"Crashing Greta yourself was extremely dangerous!," Shay hissed through gritted teeth with eyes burning in rage. "What if you did not make it out? What would have happened then?!"
"Relax, sis," Taehyung couldn't help but laugh a bit at Shay's expression. He tapped his staff over his shoulders. "As you can see, I am perfectly fine."
"Macht, Taehyung," Shay palmed hand over her forehead and shook her head. Taehyung stared. "Please— do not throw away your life like that."
Taehyung and Shay stared at each other in a quick moment of silence. Somehow, those words hit the prince harder than it should have. Seeing his little sister stress over his apparent almost death was— different, strange even.
"Taehyung, duck!," Shay suddenly screamed and Taehyung instantly did as he was told. The princess whacked a Helian soldier in the face with her staff.
In a flash, the siblings had their backs pressed to each other. Taehyung gripped his staff tightly, the eyes of its snake head glowing along with his own. Shay gripped her own weapon as well.
Taehyung eyed the Helian spearmen circling them with pointed weapons. Compared to some of the other soldiers he'd seen in the battlefield, these ones weren't infected with the Kern venom. It made the prince wonder why King Michael didn't use the venom on the whole army.
"Under the direct orders of King Michael," One of the Helian soldiers. Taehyung glared at the tint of gold on his breastplate. "The crowned siblings of Hel, Taehyung and Shayana Bristene, are hereby under arrest for charges of treason and—"
Before the soldier could finish, a purple laser beam blasted through him. As the Helian's body fell with a thud, Taehyung turned towards his sister. Shay had a bored expression on her face. The tip of the princess' staff.
"What?," Shay raised an eyebrow at Taehyung's bewildered expression. "He was talking too much. I do not like being called Shayana either."
Despite the situation, Taehyung couldn't help but laugh at Shay's disgusted expression. "You really are something, sis."
"Attack the traitors!"
Taehyung sighed as the Helians charged at them. He swung a fist and punched one of the soldiers square in the face. A second soldier swung his spear at the prince, who then raised his staff. The two weapons clashed with a spark.
"So," Taehyung spoke and use his brute strength to push the Helian forward. The soldier stumbled then was hit across the head with the snake head staff. "Updates on the team?"
Shay took a moment to reply. She was deflecting laser beams with her staff. "None."
"None?," Taehyung ducked and dodged a spear, the blade barely missing his cheek. He then grabbed the soldier and kneed him in the groin. "What do you mean none?"
Shay scoffed and slammed her staff to the ground. Sparks of purple electricity surged jolted a few unfortunate soldiers. "After teleporting the girls somewhere safe, I came to you first."
Not really knowing what to reply, Taehyung just stared at Shay. He was admit-ably glad to hear his sister's concern but also wished to know how his friends were.
Taehyung paused when he heard the raving of engines above. He eyed the hover-bike before crossing his arms over his chest. Purple mist crystalized and formed a forcefield dome around he siblings. Bullets bounced and hit the soldiers around them instead.
Shay looked around. She spotted a soldier on the ground, his spear laying to him. The princess grabbed it and screamed. "Taehyung, give me space!"
Taehyung was about to question Shay's words when he saw her holding the spear as if she was about to throw it. The prince made a small opening in the forcefield and hoped that the bullets wouldn't hit either of them.
With a loud scream, Shay threw the spear. Taehyung watched as the weapon flew across the air, the wind crackling against it. The spear went right through the Helian rider's chest and he turned limp.
Taehyung's eyes widened when he realized that the hover-bike was crashing right towards them. He grabbed Shay by the arm, who yelped as the prince pulled her closer to him.
"Brace yourself!," Taehyung screamed. Shay closed her eyes tightly.
The ground rattled as the hover-bike collided with the forcefield. Despite having the knowledge of finally being one with the darkness gem, Taehyung still was not used to his seemingly unlimited access to magic.
Taehyung opened his eyes. He let the forcefield disappear. Flames and debris of the hover-bike were scattered around them. "What did you mean by teleporting the girls somewhere safe?"
Shay grumbled and stood up whilst brushing some dust off her arms. "Right, the swan girl said something about making a call, said you told her to."
Taehyung picked up his staff from the ground and laughed. Right, he almost forgot about that. "I see."
Shay was quiet for a bit until she mumbled under her breath but it was still loud enough for Taehyung to hear. "If it consoles you, I did see the water wonder and his girlfriend. They landed safely."
"Jin and Emily," Taehyung raised an eyebrow and tilted his head in amusement. "You really should learn their names."
"I did not think it was of importance back then," Shay hissed with a huff and turned away.
"And do you think it is important now?," Taehyung asked curiously and received a glare instead of a reply from Shay.
Taehyung laughed again. Although in the midst of the chaos, the prince was glad that he could talk to Shay like this. It had been so long since the two of them actually conversed without any anger or fighting involved. This time, he felt at ease.
When sounds of sirens filled Taehyung's ears, he turned around in confusion. He placed his staff on his shoulders and squinted his eyes. A row of white cars drove in whilst dodging the Helian corpses on the ground. Some even ran over the scattered debris.
"Brother," Shay gripped her staff. She glanced at Taehyung through the corner of her eye. "Who are they?"
"The police force," Taehyung glanced back at Shay, who was still giving him a questionable look. "Humanity's version of the kingdom's army, except more localized and their weapons are limited to guns."
"I see," Shay stared as policemen quite noisily exited their vehicles. "They seem a bit unruly for my ta—"
"Freeze!," The head policeman, Taehyung could tell by the badge, screamed into a red megaphone. "Put your hands behind your head and you will not be harmed!"
"Why do they want us to surrender?," Shay whispered to Taehyung with scrunched eyebrows. "We are obviously on their side."
"Stay behind me," Taehyung stepped forward as all the policemen immediately pointed their guns at him.
Taehyung glanced around. There were about three police cars in front of him. He quickly counted the policemen— nine of them, all armed with guns. The flashing of red and blue lights made the prince squint his eyes a bit.
"Please do not misunderstand our actions," Taehyung tapped his staff. He noticed the policemen eyeing it like a bunch of hawks. "We are on your side."
"I said freeze!," The head policeman continued to scream, his voice cracking through the microphone. "Or we will be forced to shoot!"
Taehyung scowled in frustration. He understood the good intentions of these policemen, really, but he just wished that they'd look at things objectively instead. The prince inhaled to calm himself, not wanting to scream at them like a—
"I apologize but is it not quite obvious that my brother and I are fighting for the safety of your world?!," Shay stepped forward as well and now stood beside Taehyung. Her eyes burned purple in fury. "Can you not see who the real enemies are?!"
Somehow, Taehyung saw things happen beforehand. He could hear the head policemen scream at everyone to shoot even before he opened his mouth. The prince immediately crossed his arms over his chest and formed a forcefield in front of himself and his sister. In almost a split second, the bullets came and were deflected.
A moment of silence passed. All the policemen stared at the Bristene siblings with wide eyes. Taehyung lowered his hands and glanced at Shay, who just shook her head in disappointment.
"We are your allies!," Taehyung screamed, his anger nearly reaching its peak. "The reason why we are here is to protect you humans from—"
"Brother, watch out!"
Hearing Shay's voice, Taehyung looked up to see even more hover-bikes heading towards them. The policemen were obviously still taken aback by the whole forcefield trick but they still aimed their guns at the Helian soldiers.
Taehyung glanced around. Crashed cars littered the streets, each one smoking and dented beyond repair. Some vehicles even crashed into a few buildings. Shards of glass were scattered everywhere. Thankfully, no citizens were around.
When Taehyung spotted a gas tank truck laying a few feet behind the policemen, an idea popped in his mind. He raised his hand as purple mist wrapped around the truck and lifted it in the air.
"Brother, what are you doing?!," Shay screeched. She was already in battle formation.
"Blast it when I tell you to!," Taehyung replied with a scream.
Although hesitant, Shay nodded and gripped her staff tightly. Its tip glowed a bright purple, the color matching that of her eyes. The policemen stared silently, guns still aimed at the Helian riders.
Taehyung raised the gas truck just above them. He eyed the Helian riders as they quickly grew closer. Then, with a loud scream, he swung his hands in a throwing motion and tossed the truck in the air.
"Shay, now!"
Shay nodded held her staff like a gun. With one eye closed, she shot a laser beam. The gas truck exploded the moment it collided with the first Helian rider, which then caused a string of other explosions. Taehyung immediately formed a forcefield around everyone as the debris fell.
Taehyung felt multiple glares boring into the back of his head and turned around. The policemen were staring at both him and Shay but they didn't look as distraught.
Slowly, the head policeman stepped forward. Taehyung saw Shay go into battle formation so he made a gesture that told her not to. Grumbling, the princess lowered her staff.
"Stand down," The head policeman spoke slowly. Despite the hesitation, the other policeman lowered their guns. "If you really are on our side... who are you?"
Taehyung and Shay gave each other quick glances. Then grins grew on both of their faces.

Jimin could still clearly remember the start of chaos. Even though Namjoon was hugging to his chest when they both jumped off Greta, he still screamed at the top of his lungs. The thunder gem bearer could still feel the sudden force that his back when part of the ship exploded.
The force was so strong that it knocked them off course. At that moment, Jimin genuinely thought that they were going to die. After all, both he and Namjoon were free-falling whilst desperately dogging bullets and debris around them. Then a few Helian riders actually attacked them.
Jimin should have used his powers by then but he didn't, rather he couldn't. He didn't want to summon electricity when he was this close to Namjoon. Last time he did, he played the role of an executioner at the earth gem bearer's request.
All Jimin could remember was brightness, the cackle of electricity, and the awful way Namjoon's face contorted in pain. He clenched his fists hard.
Never again.
In between it all, Hoseok came to help. He had used wind to assist the two of them in dodging. Jungkook, on the other hand, was shooting Helian warships and hover-bikes with light beams, literally sniping them out of the sky.
"Don't worry, guys!," Hoseok spun in the air to dodge bullets before flying towards the couple. "I got—"
Hoseok was cut when he was literally rammed by a hover bike. Jimin yelped in both shock and panic as the air gem bearer was forcefully tackled out of view.
This left Jungkook literally hanging in the middle. His wings flapped in the air as he glanced back and forth between Hoseok and the couple. Jimin could see the frustration written all over the angel's face.
"Jungkook, get Hoseok!," Namjoon screamed with gritted teeth.
Jungkook scrunched his eyebrows, jaw dropping slightly to reveal his big buckteeth. "But the two of you can't—"
"We'll be fine!," Namjoon replied with glowing brown eyes. "Help Hoseok!"
Despite the obvious hesitation in Jungkook's expression, the Hemelian prince whispered curse words under his breath before flying away.
The reality of it all hit Jimin in the face like a volleyball. He glanced around. Shay, along with those she grabbed before jumping, were nowhere to be seen. The thunder gem bearer assumed that they had teleported to the ground.
Jin was carrying Emily bridal style. He was summoning a wave of water underneath his feet that froze into ice.
Jimin watched in awe as the duo slid down the frozen slide that melted once it passed the water gem bearer's feet.
"Jimin!," Namjoon screamed, his voice loud and clear despite the strong wind. "I want you to close your eyes for me! Do not open them until I say so!"
Jimin nodded and nuzzled his face into Namjoon's chest before screwing his eyes shut. The thunder gem bearer winced loudly when he heard the cracking of shifting of stones around them.
"Chim, it's okay," Namjoon whispered softly, his hands snaking around Jimin's waist. "I'm right here."
With a dry throat, Jimin swallowed hard. The sound of shifting rock had stopped. Even with his eyes shut tight, the thunder gem bearer noticed that both he and Namjoon were consumed by darkness.
Jimin felt dread pool at the pit of his gut. In a split second, the two collided with the ground— not directly, instead the sphere of rock around them shattered, some of the pieces scraping the orange head's face.
Jolts of pain struck Jimin's body as he bounced on the ground and rolled for a bit. Groaning, he used his elbows to push his body upwards and looked around. Through his blurry vision, the thunder gem bearer saw scattered rock and a crater just a few feet away.
But not Namjoon. Panic started to fill Jimin's system. He stumbled to his feet and screamed out. "Joonie?! Joonie, where are you?!"
Jimin stomped through the debris of rock and made his way to crater. He wildly scanned the area, his heart pounding quicker by the second, more-so because he still found no sign of Namjoon.
"Oh my God... oh my God," Jimin ran his hands through his hair repeatedly. His breath turned shaky. "This is all my fault."
Jimin continued to sprint around the area. His vision was dark, blurry even. There was no sign of Namjoon. He couldn't even hear his surroundings anymore. All he heard was the pounding of his heart against his ribcage.
"He's gone," Jimin wheezed and sucked in a breath. "This is all my fault. I shouldn't have hesitated. I shouldn't have—"
"Chim?"
Jimin turned around and became face to face with a very worried Namjoon. Despite staring right at his lover, the thunder gem bearer couldn't process it all. Instead, he continued to take staggered breaths.
"Jimin? Jimin, it's me!," Namjoon stepped closer paused when he was right in front of Jimin. "Are... you okay? You're... you're shaking."
Jimin didn't say anything. His heart was still pounding and he was having difficulty breathing. He was hugging himself, his body trembling slightly.
Namjoon was very cautious. His feet were seemingly frozen to the ground. "Hey... If you need some space, I'll be more than willing—"
"Come here," Jimin croaked, his voice so small that he himself could barely hear it. "Please."
With that, Namjoon wasted no time in sprinting towards Jimin. Instead of tackling him in a hug, however, the earth gem bearer carefully caressed the other's cheeks.
"Jimin, breathe slowly," Namjoon cooed and wrapped Jimin in a warm embrace. "It's okay, I'm here. I'm always here."
It took a while but eventually, Jimin was able to calm down. He wasn't sure how, maybe it was because Namjoon took the effort to breathe slowly with him. Then, he finally felt the warmth of his lover's arms around his cold body.
"Joonie," Jimin whispered softly. "I thought you were dead."
Namjoon slowly pulled away from the hug. He gently cupped Jimin's face with his hand. "Hey, I'm not going to let anything happen to me, okay? Don't worry."
Jimin put on a smile. He nuzzled into Namjoon's warmth and felt his heart swell— not with pain but with joy.
"Uh, guys?!"
Hearing the familiar voice, Jimin's eyes snapped open. He turned around and spotted Yoongi standing a few feet— Huh, strange that he didn't see him falling. The fire gem bearer was currently having a fist fight with a Helian. Holly was gnawing on a poor soldier's neck as well.
"A little help would be nice!," Yoongi screamed when he was punched in the face. Groaning, he stumbled to the ground.
Before the Helian could puncture Yoongi in the gut with his spear, Namjoon stomped his foot on the ground. A pillar of rock rose from the concrete and flung the soldier across the air.
"Thanks," Yoongi grumbled as Namjoon pulled him to his feet. Jimin tailed behind the earth gem bearer.
At that moment, Jimin realized how chaotic the battlefield was. He was confused at how he didn't hear all the commotion a few moments ago. Debris of broken cars and shattered buildings were everywhere. Screams of panicked citizens filled the air.
"This is crazy," Emily was standing behind a car. She shot out an arrow and a hover-bike crashed nearby. "It's like their goal is to destroy everything around them."
Jin was spinning his trident in circles, which made water spin around him as well. He pointed his weapon forward. A wave of water surged forward and froze instantly. Helian soldiers were stabbed everywhere with icicles.
"They're scaring everyone too," Jin formed an ice blade around his wrist. "I don't get what they're trying to do."
Jimin formed a lightning bolt in his hands. He stabbed it at a Helian soldier and the electricity crackled and jolted more in a chain. "Joonie, what do we do?!"
Namjoon didn't say anything. He was digging his fingers into the ground— no, he was grabbing a manhole cover. "I'm thinking!"
With gritted teeth, Namjoon spun for a bit before tossing the manhole cover. It flew in the air and pierced through yet another hover-bike. Jimin wondered how many there were.
Jimin rubbed his hands together until they sparked, the electricity coursing through his veins. He was honestly surprised at how the soldiers were suddenly charging at them, especially with their sheer number. The army extended way ahead the thunder gem bearer's view.
Despite that, nobody seemed to be afraid. Instead, everyone was prepared for the final battle.
"They're surrounding us," Emily turned towards the team and shot an arrow without looking. She still sniped a soldier. "Does anyone have a plan yet?!"
"I don't think we have time to think!," Yoongi was shooting out fireballs from his palms, eyes glowing a bright orange.
Yoongi was right, it was like the entirety of the army was suddenly aware of the wonders' presence. All the hover-bikes were hovering above them. Spearmen and gunmen were now surrounding them, which forced the rest of them to step closer to one another.
"I think we may have underestimated their numbers," Jin was gripping his trident tightly.
"No shit!," Yoongi screamed and nearly bumped into Jin's broad shoulders. Holly flew into his arms.
Jimin glanced around again as his back hit Namjoon's chest. He could faintly see the figures of Helian archers on the rooftops of the buildings— Emily was right, they really were surrounded.
At that moment, Jimin thought hard. The strongest trio of the team were currently nowhere to be seen. Shay, who was definitely her brother's match, was absent. Hoseok was gone. Nobody could fly.
Jimin glanced up again and stared at the blue sky. Suddenly, he had an idea. "Guys, I have a plan."
Everyone initially faced Namjoon, who just gave them confused looks. Emily turned towards Jimin and scrunched her eyebrows. "You do?"
"One of your movies again?," Jin asked with a smirk and Jimin coudln't if it was a playful one or not.
"Nah," Jimin's eyes turned to crinkled crescents as he put on a grin. "It's much better."
Jimin quickly went through the plan, even repeating it to make sure that everyone (Yoongi) understood. Namjoon had on a proud grin the entire time. Once the thunder gem bearer finished explaining, they formed a circular formation.
"Emily, are you sure about this?," Jin asked worriedly, his doe eyes sparkling for some reason. "With your vision blocked by the dust, it will be hard to—"
"Don't worry," Emily put on a smirk and strummed the string of her bow. "I'll get a clear shot either way."
Jimin took a deep breath. He slid his foot backwards, the sole of his shoe scraping the ground. "Ready?"
Although Jimin's position forbid it, he knew that everyone was nodding. Taking another deep breath, sparks of electricity crackled under his feet. He heard Namjoon crack his knuckles next to him.
"Now!"
Jimin broke into a sprint and ran in circles around the team. He was honestly surprised at how he wasn't feeling dizzy at all. Soon, just as planned, a mixture of air and dust rose from the ground and covered the team.
From within the circle, Yoongi blasted out pillars of flames from his arms with eyes glowing a bright orange. The barrier of dust circulating the team became a barrier of fire.
Jimin skid to the a stop, the soles of his shoes still smoking. Yoongi continued to fuel the flames as he screamed. "What's the next part of the plan?!"
"I'm on it!," Emily screamed as she typed something on her wristband. Her quiver whirred before multiple metal arrows popped out.
With a quick breath, Emily took out the arrows and shot them through the flames. Jimin could hear the grunts of Helians through the other side, which was shortly followed by the thumps of bodies hitting the ground.
Namjoon suddenly grabbed Jimin by the waist and pulled him forward until their bodies were pressed together. The thunder gem bearer giggled against his lover's chest. "Joonie, what was that for?"
A playful smirk spread across Namjoon's face. Jimin could feel the earth gem bearer's claws tap against his back. "It's part of the plan, isn't it?"
Jimin yelped a bit when a pillar of rock suddenly grew from under their feet. Realizing that this was part of the plan, the thunder gem bearer calmed down and tightened his grip on Namjoon's chest. Soon they were high up above the barrier of fire.
There was a splash from next to him that made Jimin turn around. Jin was standing on top of his trident like a surfboard with a pillar of water surging underneath him.
"Thanks for forgetting about me," Jin grimaced sarcastically and rolled his eyes. "Mind giving me space? Water won't last in this heat."
"Sorry," Namjoon smirked and waved a hand. A part of the rock pillar extended as an additional platform.
Jin stepped onto the platform and the water evaporated instantly. He then spun the trident in his hands. "I must say, Jimin. This is a good plan."
Jimin hummed as a reply and glanced around. Hover-bikes were in the air but all the riders were concentrated on the wall of fire. It was strange, how they couldn't be seen even though they were right in front of them.
"You guys ready?," Namjoon's question snapped Jimin back to the situation at hand.
The two nodded at Namjoon. Jin took a deep breath and gripped his trident tightly in his hands. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing a bright blue.
Jimin watched in awe as Jin continued to spin his trident around like a baton. Water followed the movements of his weapon and formed circles as well. Then the water gem bearer swung his trident and the gathered water formed into a wave.
The wave surged in the air and splashed all of the Helian riders and hover-bikes. Jimin was stunned when the remaining soldiers and archers were also became drenched.
Jimin saw his cue and turned towards Namjoon. "Joonie baby... could you go down to the ground for a minute?"
Namjoon flashed a dimpled smile before he gave Jimin a short but sweet peck on the lips. "Alright, Chim. Anything for you."
Jimin watched as Namjoon casually stepped off the rock platform and fell. Panic nearly surged through the thunder gem bearer until he saw his lover land on the ground, leaving a crater under his feet. He gave him a thumbs up.
"He's crazy," Jin shook his head with a smirk.
"Well," Jimin shrugged and clenched his hand into a fist. A sword made of pure electricity formed in his hands. "I like crazy."
Reminiscent of his first powerful attack back in the tower, Jimin pointed his sword to the sky. Dark clouds formed and thunder rumbled loudly from above. This caused all the Helian riders to face the thunder gem bearer.
Jin swiped his trident. A wave of water appeared and froze in front of him and Jimin to create a shield of ice. Bullets bounced off the ice as it cracked slightly.
"Jimin?!," Jin screamed as he continuously layered the ice shield to prevent it from shattering. "Any time now!"
Instead if replying, Jimin pointed his sword up higher. Lightning finally struck the tip of his weapon. There was no pain in how the electricity coursed through his veins, instead he felt comfort— he felt strong.
The whites of Jimin's eyes turned yellow. Static sparked across his clothes. With a loud scream, the thunder gem bearer swung his sword forward. Bolts of lightning surged and struck all of the drenched soldiers.
Lightning rumbled again. Jimin watched as the Helians twitched and charred slowly under his electricity. Once he stopped, the burnt hover-bikes crashed to the ground and fell apart. The soldiers' smoking bodies slumped to the ground.
Jimin yelped when the rock pillars suddenly lowered to the ground. Jin screamed loudly and held onto his trident for dear life. Instead of landing on the floor, however, the thunder gem bearer fell into a pair of strong arms instead.
"That was amazing, Chim," Namjoon had on a dimpled smirk. Jimin eyed his pointed teeth. "Your plan worked out perfectly."
Jimin giggled and wrapped his arms around Namjoon's neck. "Thanks, Joonie... but the plan only worked because everyone cooperated."
"Oh, uh— wow."
Jin was blushing furiously, his cheeks blaring a deep beet red. Emily was casually carrying the water gem bearer, which was a strange sight because his figure was much bigger then hers. Despite that, the protector didn't look like she was struggling at all.
"Why are you looking at me like that?," Emily raised an eyebrow with a light laugh. "Are you okay?"
"Well— I— er," Jin's expression was blank despite the deep blushing. His mouth was just hanging open. "Thanks for... catching me?"
"I think he's broken," Yoongi commented with lowered hands, the barrier of fire fading. Holly nodded on his shoulders.
Emily laughed as she slowly helped a frozen Jin stand. "You're welcome."
"Guys!"
Jimin slipped out of Namjoon's grip and stood up. Hearing Taehyung's voice, he turned around and spotted the darkness gem bearer sprinting across the field of corpses. Tailing behind was Shay, whose cape fluttered in the wind as she ran.
What Jimin noticed the most were the other people running behind the siblings. He recognized the electric staff and the two Helian women as well. However, there were more people in blue, almost like—
"It's the police?!," Yoongi exclaimed loudly and immediately hid behind Jin. "Nope, I am not landing my ass in jail again!"
"Please calm down, Yoongi," Taehyung raised his hands in a reassuring gesture. "They are on our side."
"Brother tells the truth," Shay tapped her staff against the ground and leaned on it for balance. "We have made an agreement. They shall be our allies against Father."
Jimin faced the group of obviously confused and terrified policemen. The chief of the group stepped forward slowly. The thunder gem bearer eyed the megaphone in his grip with a raised eyebrow.
"I usually don't take orders from anybody else," The head policeman grumbled with a frown. "But we all agree it will be best to listen. How can we help?"
"Hold on," Emily spoke with crossed arms, both of her eyebrows creased together. "Where's Sky?"
Before anybody could say anything, there was loud squeaking of metal from up ahead. Jimin turned towards the sound and saw the ground rumbling. Even the pebbles near his feet were trembling.
"Why is everyone looking at me?," Namjoon was baffled when everyone turned towards him skeptically. "I'm not doing this!"
"Everyone, run!"
Jimin looked up. Jungkook was flying in a panic, all six of his wings flapping furiously. The angel was carrying an injured yet still screaming Hoseok, whose clothes were drenched in an alarmingly large patch of blood.
But the voice that screamed didn't belong to either of the two. Instead, it was from General Jisoo, who was running wildly on the ground. Yves was right behind her whilst dragging Chuu along with a tight grip on her wrist.
"Run!," General Jisoo repeated just as something sprouted out of the ground behind them.
It was a giant machine, its joints squeaking with every move it made. The thing resembled a praying mantis with its long pointed legs and insect like eyes. It had a curved body that bulged at its rear, which glowed a bright hot lava red shade.
The mantis robot stabbed its legs through the floor and some buildings as it charge forward. Jimin stared at its terrifying red eyes and the insect claws of its mouth. Then the thing opened its mouth wide.
"What the hell is that?!"
"Get the civilians out of here!," Taehyung screamed at the once again frozen policemen and spun the staff in his hands. "We'll hold this thing back! Go! Now!"
Flinching, the head of the policemen called for his troops and ran passed the team. Jimin glanced behind and watched as they rounded up civilians whilst telling them to run to safety.
Jungkook soon arrived and Jimin was honestly impressed by his speed. The Hemelian prince gracefully landed on the ground and gently set down Hoseok. "Jin?!"
"On it!," Jin used water to skid across the floor and knelt down next to Hoseok. "What happened?"
"That thing fell from the sky and dug into the ground!," Hoseok winced when Jin started to heal his injuries. "It was like— it suddenly appeared!"
"Father sent the machines?," Shay's eyes widened as she glanced back at the mantis robot. "Those things are prototypes! This is madness!"
"Uh, guys," Jimin pointed at the mantis robot. There was a whirring ball of red inside its open mouth. "What's it doing?"
Everyone followed Jimin's gaze and stared for a moment. Then Taehyung's widened as she glanced at Shay. The thunder gem bearer flinched at the horrified expression on the Helian prince's face.
"It's charging," Taehyung breathed. He turned towards the team with wide eyes.
"C-Charging what?," General Jisoo asked, her sudden voice making Jimin jump a bit in place. She was wheezing loudly whilst holding her knees. Chuu and Yves were just as tired.
Shay glanced back at Taehyung before shutting her eyes in frustration. "It's charging its laser."
A quick moment of silence passed. Despite that, a lot of thoughts ran through Jimin's mind. He remembered the battle in Aarde and how Taehyung said that there was a certain kind of laser beam that could penetrate even through his own forcefield.
"Laser?," Jimin squeaked and gave Namjoon's hand a tight grip. "Is it the one that can—"
"You guys have to find a safe spot," Taehyung crossed his hands over his chest. A tall purple forcefield formed in front of him. "I'll keep it busy."
"Uhm," Hoseok wobbled to his feet with Jin's help. "Can't we not be too self-sacrificing for once and just destroy the thing while it charges?"
"Father developed these robots with self-defense mechanisms," Shay formed a forcefield as well and layered it on top of Taehyung's. "Attacking it while it charges is not the best idea."
"But what if the laser breaks through the forcefield?," Emily asked quietly, her voice still loud enough for everyone to hear.
Nobody said anything for a moment. Jimin stared at the mantis robot and noticed that the glowing red ball in its mouth was bigger, brighter even. Jimin scooted closer to Namjoon, who tightened the grip around his waist.
Jungkook stepped forward quite noisily as his shoe scraped against the ground. The angel's wings folded as he raised a hand. A third white forcefield formed over Shay's, thickening the layer even more.
"Better us than innocents," Jungkook announced, his piercing light blue orbs making Jimin swallow loudly. "We'll handle this. Get to a safe place."
"We are not going anywhere!," Yoongi hissed loudly as Holly nodded vigorously on his shoulders. Jimin swore that flames were burning over his lips.
Nobody replied to Yoongi but Jimin could tell that everyone agreed to him. Glancing behind him, the thunder gem bearer saw no civilians, instead the streets were void of any people except them.
"Joonie?," Jimin hummed when Namjoon suddenly pulled him into a tight embrace.
Namjoon's heart thumped against his chest, Jimin could hear it loud and clear. "Sorry, wanted to hold you."
Jimin stared ahead. He saw Emily and Jin hugging as well, so were Chuu and Yves. Jungkook, Taehyung and Shay stood in a row behind the forcefields. Hoseok looked a bit frightened next to the determined Yoongi.
The mantis robot screeched, its loud blast of the laser beam hit Jimin's ears suddenly, making wince against Namjoon's chest. Before the beam could hit the forcefield, however, something flew across the air.
Jimin still couldn't process what happened even after it did. He barely caught sight of a circular object spinning in the air before it struck the mantis robot's face. The laser beam's aim was thwarted and stabbed through a building instead of hitting a forcefield.
Confused, Jimin eyed the circular object as it flew around and landed on someone's hand— a rider on a hover-bike— Wait what?
"Chim?," Namjoon whispered next to Jimin, his deep voice sending shivers down his spine. "Didn't you wipe out all the Helians?"
"I did," Jimin's reply was almost completely breathless.
"Then who—," Namjoon paused and turned towards Hoseok, who was already strapping on his goggles. "Seok, got a peak?"
Hoseok tapped his goggles. It whirred a bit as the lens zoomed in. Then his expression instantly shifted into one of shock. "It's... Sky?"
Jimin's eyes widened. He watched as you stood on the hover-bike, a much bigger sword in one hand and shield in the other. The mantis robot stabbed its legs towards you but you only dodged it like an expert skateboarder.
"What in God's name—," Emily took out arrows from her quiver and pulled back the string of her bow. "We have to help her!"
"No," Taehyung turned around, a surprisingly sincere boxy smile on his face. "She'll be fine."
Jimin looked back up. You weren't even holding the handles of the hover-bike, instead you stood up on the seats. Another leg stabbed towards you but you simply swung your sword and sliced off its tip.
Everyone jumped when the severed pointed leg landed just in front of the team. Yoongi screamed out loud— "Holy shit!"
You then knelt down and pressed something on the hover-bike's control panel. As it spiraled down and crashed into mantis robot's torso, you jumped off of it.
"The guardian has lost her mind!," Shay screamed and faced Taehyung, who still had that large grin on his face. "Brother, do you see this?!"
Taehyung casually tapped Shay's shoulder and squeezed it. "She really is one crazy girl, isn't she sis?"
Shay looked disgusted but shortly after she put on a similar boxy smile. "Macht, Taehyung. You are nearly as crazy as her."
Everyone jumped again when the mantis robot shrieked. Jimin's eyes widened when he realized that your stabbed into the robot's forehead. Then purple mist appeared above your figure and pushed you downwards.
Your eyes were shut tight as you slid down the mantis robot's body with the sword's blade still stabbed into it. Once you reached the ground, you rolled into a kneeling position.
Behind you, the now split body of the mantis body collapsed. It shattered the glass windows of the buildings it hit whilst some parts even sprawled over low rise stores. Dust scattered on the ground as well.
Nobody said anything and just stared as you stood up with a grin. Waving, you positioned your sword behind the shield strapped to your back.
"Hey guys," You greeted casually. The mantis robot's eyes went out behind you. "Sorry for being late, was a bit busy up there."
Jungkook quietly scooted until he was next to Taehyung, who was still staring at you blankly. The angel carefully leaned in to the darkness gem bearer's ear.
"Marry her," Jungkook yelped when Taehyung playfully hit his shoulder. He laughed. "Ouch! What was that for?"
Taehyung shook his head and laughed. He then cleared your throat and slowly stepped towards you. "Hey, uh, thanks for saving us."
"It's nothing," You shrugged and crossed your arms over your chest. Then you just stared at Taehyung, who continued to give you that awkward grin.
Oh my God. Jimin could feel the sexual tension boiling in between you and Taehyung. It almost made him want to grab both of their faces and forcibly make them kiss (again).
"For the record," Hoseok whispered once he was close to Jimin and Namjoon. "You guys were much worse."
"No we weren't!," Jimin huffed with flushed cheeks.
"We kind of were, Chim," Namjoon giggled, his deep voice rumbling against the crown of Jimin's head.
Jimin giggled at the thought. He turned towards you and Taehyung, stunned when he saw purple mist form behind both of your backs. Then your bodies slammed against each other.
Everyone turned towards Shay, who still had her hands raised with purple mist surrounding her wrists. Catching all the stares, the princess raised an eyebrow.
"What?," Shay snapped and crossed her arms over her chest. "Do not tell me that anyone was actually willing to endure that?"
Taehyung laughed which was followed by everyone else doing the same. He gripped your waist and smiled. "I kept my promise, didn't I?"
You gently threw your arms around the darkness gem bearer's neck. "You did. And?"
"Macht, I can't watch this," Shay turned around but Jimin could clearly see the smile on her face.
Jungkook was staring at the couple like the proud best friend he was, hands clasped together and a huge bunny grin on his face. Jimin could almost hear him saying— Get it, Tae!
Taehyung grinned and opened his mouth to speak. Before he could say anything, however, there was a foreign voice that boomed throughout the city.
"You fools!"
Jimin gulped at the sudden dark expression on the Bristene siblings' faces. He looked up and saw King Michael sitting on a levitating chair that was resting on top of a much bigger hover-bike.
"Did you really think that was all I have up my sleeve?!," King Michael's eyes were wide and crazy. Jimin shivered a bit under his intense gaze. "You were wrong!"
King Michael raised his hand and swiped it downwards. Jimin heard a slight buzzing and turned around. More Helian warships spawned, the decks filled to the brim with soldiers— different ones. They looked rabid with their pointed teeth and sharp claws.
Jimin secretly glanced at Namjoon's purple arm and came to a conclusion— Kern venom. And there were a lot more soldiers than before too.
"Brother, we are gravely outnumbered," Shay announced with that fierce expression still on her face.
"I know," Taehyung slowly slid his hands off your waist and tightly gripped his snake head staff instead. "To get to Father, we have get through them first."
You took out your sword and pointed it forward. "We've talked about this, haven't we?"
"The final battle," Namjoon cracked his knuckles and grinned. "We fight."
"Until we fall," Jimin finished and summoned the sword of lightning in his hands once again.
"Hey, just incase we don't make it out," Hoseok slapped his goggles on, the strap making a slight snapping sound. "I just want to say that I really love you guys."
"Don't say that," Jin formed ice blades around both of his wrists. "We have no choice but to live."
Emily strummed the string of her bow. "We got a plan?"
Jungkook's wings flapped as he slowly flew upwards. He moved his neck as it cracked. "We do, yeah? Make it out alive."
Jimin braced himself. The army was surging towards them like a tidal wave with no signs of stopping. He had no idea what was in store for everyone in the future but he knew one thing—
They were going to fight. No matter what.
