WARNING!!!! Angst angst angst angst angst X10000000
"Jungkook, you look stressed," Namjoon asked with a raised brow and glanced at Jungkook, who was massaging his temples with his hands.
It's probably those bodies.
"Hoseok, it isn't because of all the bodies we saw in the forest," Jungkook groaned as his wings folded behind his back, which as a sign of how stressed he was at the moment. Hoseok pressed his lips together, a mixture of anxiousness and disgust flashing across his features. "Too many people, too many thoughts."
"Please don't mention that again," Jimin shivered and hugged himself as the cold air blew, making his orange bangs flutter. Gah, real bodies look so different compared to props. Jungkook agreed.
"Then you should focus on one person's thoughts, right?," Namjoon suggested, Jimin still shivering behind him, wide eyes barely peeking over the earth gem bearer's shoulders. Cute little thing. Jungkook nearly puked at his thoughts. "I'm curious to know which one of us has the thoughts Jungkook can endure the most."
"Well, it definitely isn't Jimin," Hoseok spoke suddenly, earning a questionable glare from Jimin. The air gem bearer laughed loudly with his heart shaped grin before pushing up his glasses. "The only thing you'll hear from that mind of his is sweet and loving thoughts of Kaeva."
Jimin's face immediately flushed into a deep beet red color as he playfully punched Hoseok on the shoulders, his voice cracking due to his disorientation That Einstein wannabe. Did he have to mention Kaeva? Jungkook almost choked. "H-Hey! That's not true!"
"Can someone tell us what we're doing here again?," Emily mumbled loudly before Jungkook could hear more of the argument, fingers twirling in her hair as she stood next to Jin, who was also playing with the strands of her brown hair. The angel tried to read the water gem bearer's mind but found it be blank, having absolutely no thoughts. Wow.
Jungkook then decided to focus on Jin's non-existent thoughts before glancing around the area. Namjoon, Hoseok and Jimin were currently conversing with each other about Kaeva, the angel could tell because of the teasing smirk on the air gem bearer's face. Emily and Jin started to argue playfully about the protector's hair. You and Taehyung were standing next to each other, gazes facing opposite directions, which definitely caused an awkward atmosphere. He smiled and shook his head at the sight. Up ahead, the Hemelian could see Yoongi and Holly speaking to Suran, who had Vlam's crown resting on her head.
After Yoongi made a long and touching speech of self-care and trust to the Vlamians, he had crowned Suran as the temporary queen during his absence. Jungkook wasn't surprised since he knew why the fire gem bearer had done it, it was written all over his thoughts. Afterwards, Suran insisted that the gang visit their collage one last time before they leave for Hemel.
Hemel. Jungkook was honestly feeling a bit anxious about returning to his kingdom after being away from it for so long. He wasn't sure if he was happy about returning home or not, especially since he knew how his father would react to Taehyung coming along. Not to mention that back in his kingdom, he would no longer be just Jungkook, he'd once again be the oh-so-perfect Prince Jungkook that everyone expected him to be.
And he didn't want that.
"The reason why we're here is because Suran and Kihyun want to do us a favor," Yoongi spoke as he walked closer, Kihyun and Suran tailing behind him, Jungkook snapping back to reality. The fire gem bearer had a small smile on his face, Holly staring at the angel curiously.
Kihyun stepped forward with a smile, Suran peeking over his shoulder, before he placed a hand on his chest and bowed slightly. "Greetings, Your Highnesses. My name is Kihyun and it is a pleasure to meet you."
"Why is he bowing?," Jimin whispered to Namjoon, lips unconsciously pouted.
"I don't know if you idiots forgot but you guys are all kings now," Taehyung scoffed loudly with an eye-roll and Jungkook noticed that you were silently staring at the darkness gem bearer. Jimin was pouting a bit too obviously.
"All except the angel and the hooded one, according to Yoongi I mean," Shownu walked into the scene with a small smile and pat Yoongi on the shoulder once he was close enough. Holly was still glancing at everyone curiously. Jungkook glanced behind the Vlamian and saw the others staring at them a bit anxiously. "I'm Shownu. Sorry about the others, they aren't really used to being around a lot of royalty."
Jungkook swallowed dryly, since he knew that Taehyung was the only one in the group who was aware of his true identity as Hemel's prince. The darkness gem bearer was glancing at the angel with a meaningful stare before he spoke. "Well, they'll get used to it eventually."
"Wait a minute, what favor was Yoongi talking about?," Jin chimed in as he blinked rapidly, his mind finally regaining thoughts. I'm bored out of my mind. Jungkook sighed, disappointed at how the silence had been shattered.
Yoongi then smirked before patting his torn leather outfit, Holly transferring to the fire gem bearer's other shoulder. "Well, Blondie, Suran and the gang specialize in making custom uniforms and weapons. What I'm wearing right not was from them. To cut to the chase, they'll be giving everyone a fresh set of clothes."
"No offense but do we really need uniforms?," Emily asked with an arched brow, Jin glancing at her with big eyes and puffed cheeks. "I mean, we don't have much time left and we still have to pass through both Hemel and Hel."
"As long we get the measurements as quickly as possible, it will only last an hour or two. We promise that," Kihyun winked playfully, making Jin raise an eyebrow and step in front of Emily with a protective stance. What's this lizard trying to pull on my girlfriend? Jungkook had to hold in his laughter. "Besides... uniforms are like armor. They'll protect you, one way or another."
"Kihyun is right," Namjoon spoke as he stepped forward, a very stern expression on his face. "From now on, things will get a bit more difficult. We've seen how strong our enemies can be and I bet we haven't even gotten a taste of Hel's power. Just like Yoongi, we're going to need some upgrades."
Oho, this is the perfect time to insert one of my golden jokes. Jungkook's eyes widened as he turned towards Jin, who already had a mischievous smile slowly growing on his face. "Uh, Jin, wai—"
"It's best for us to listen to Namjoon," Jin spoke suddenly, making Jungkook sigh and brace himself. "We should prepare... before it all goes to Hel."
Jin cackled loudly, his blonde hair flying as he threw his head back, hands clutching his stomach. Jungkook palmed his face as everyone turned towards the water gem bearer with a disgusted expression. That was hilarious, ha! The angel wanted to tell him that it wasn't. The only one who seemed to be amused was Jimin, who had both hands clasped over his mouth to stifle his laughter.
"Did he... really just say that," Taehyung squinted his now glowing purple eyes at Jin, purple mist circulating around his feet. Huh? Didn't they like my joke? Jungkook wanted to scream the obvious answer.
"Alright, before anyone gets murdered, Kihyun here is going to measure us, yeah?," Jungkook suggested when he heard Jin's panic-filled thoughts, which were caused by Yoongi's flame-coated hands and Taehyung's sharp glares.
"Minhyuk will... actually," Kihyun responded with an awkward tone as Emily and Jin spoke about the joke. "Come on, let's get going. The sooner we start, the sooner we finish."
Jungkook's wings flapped a bit as they were led to the small and almost worn down cottage. Despite how it looked, he knew how spacious it was inside thanks to Yoongi's thoughts. Still, the angel ended up looking around curiously after Wonho moved the broken door and gave them space to enter. Besides the sewing machines and layers of folded cloth, what caught the Hemelian's eyes were the souvenirs of each kingdom placed on top of the desk.
Standing behind the desk as everyone else explored, Jungkook stared down at the trinkets and identified each souvenir. Vlam's Volcano, Lucht's Tree Maria... next to the big green tree was something familiar to the angel. It was a miniature version of a white building with a standard triangular shaped roof. Turning it revealed three pillars at each side, brick walls filling the space in between. Realizing that it was none other than Hemel's Hall of Legacy, a memory flashed through the angel's mind.
"Is this really necessary, mother?," Jungkook asked as he sighed and placed both hands in his jeans' pockets. He stared up at the trio of statues before him, all familiar for they represented each member of his family — his father, mother and himself. Looking around, he saw tall and powerful looking statues of those who ruled before his father's reign. "Why must each King and Queen of Hemel have a statue of themselves made and placed in the Hall of Legacy?"
"It serves as a symbol of their reign, dear," Queen Miranda spoke softly, both hands folded over her stomach. Jungkook glanced at his mother and eyed her long white drapes. "The people's reminder of who they were as rulers."
"Seems more like an act of pure arrogance to me. Was Grandfather always that tall? Did Great Grandmother have hair that long and supple? The statues were changed to the ideal appearances of each ruler, mother," Jungkook looked down at his princely attire and gold buttoned white coat before facing his statue, which was pathetically small in between his parents. "All except for mine. It looks just as small and feeble as I am."
"Do not say that, Jungkook," Queen Miranda said sternly, making Jungkook sigh and brush his hand against the patch of Hemel's logo, which was sewn onto his coat. "You will make a great king one day, just like your father."
"I do not wish to be like my father," Jungkook spat, Queen Miranda glancing at him sadly. The angel balled his hands to fists, teeth gritted and wings angled upwards. "And I never will be."
"Y-You want me to do what?"
Hearing Jin's stuttering, Jungkook blinked and snapped back to reality. Glancing around the area, he realized that he was in the underground room of the cottage, walls filled with white yet splashed with different colors here and there. Looking down, the angel realized that he had unconsciously crushed the Hall of Legacy figurine in his hand. Somehow, the sight gave him a sensation of de ja vu.
Jungkook sighed and dropped the remaining pieces of the figure on the desk, hoping that whoever owned it wouldn't be too disappointed at it being broken. Turning around, the Hemelian saw Jin with wide eyes, both hands pulling down the hem of his shirt. Behind the water gem bearer was Minhyuk, who had a pencil in his mouth and a yellow measuring tape in his hands.
"I said you need to lift up your shirt," Minhyuk spoke with blank eyes as Jin stepped backwards and gulped loudly. I ain't stripping in front of everyone. Jungkook wondered if he should listen to someone else's thoughts instead. "I won't be able to get an accurate measurement of your waist if you keep your shirt on."
"I— uh—"
"Just do it, Jin," Yoongi grumbled from his place, arms crossed over his chest and Holly nodding on top of his shoulders. The fire gem bearer had a bored expression on his face, eyes drooping and lips curled into a frown. "We don't have time to waste."
"Easy for you to say. He already has your measurements," Jin groaned and looked around to see everyone staring at him in both anticipation and boredom. God, there's no way out of this, is there?
"I don't think there is," Jungkook replied to Jin's thoughts out loud with a small smile, the water gem bearer sighing loudly.
"Fine. I'll do it," Jin sighed loudly once more before running a hand through his blonde hair. He took one last glance at everyone before hesitantly grabbing the hem of his shirt and pulling it upwards. Oh God, I'm going to die of embarrassment.
For a moment, there was silence, until everyone's thoughts exploded and Jungkook felt like his mind was going to melt because of it. When the angel turned towards Jin, he understood why. The water gem bearer had his shirt pulled up to his chest, revealing a pale skin, a smooth lean stomach and an unexpectedly small waist that just made his hips look wider. Minhyuk was unfazed and continued to measure in silence.
"Well damn," Emily whispered, which was barely loud enough for Jungkook to hear. She had her eyes wide and jaw dropped slightly, a sight foreign even to you. The protector then cleared her throat with pink cheeks before she mumbled. "My boyfriend is hot."
He sure is. Jungkook blinked, not really sure about which person that thought belonged to. Still, he couldn't ignore the fact that it came from his left, where Namjoon, Jimin and Yoongi were standing. The angel shrugged and assumed it was all three of them.
"Twenty-nine. Impressive," Minhyuk nodded before something on his little notepad, Jin walking away with pouted lips and red cheeks. Emily continued to stare at the water gem bearer with hawk eyes. "Okay, you're next."
Jungkook followed Minhyuk's gaze, his eyes widening when it lead to Taehyung, who was pointing at himself with a raised eyebrow. "Me?"
"Yeah, you," Minhyuk had a serious expression on his face as he scanned Jin's measurements, which were listed down on his notepad. Jungkook could see the angry expression growing on Taehyung's face, one which the Vlamian failed to notice. The angel started to panic internally since he knew that chaps was about to occur. "Come on so we can get this over with—"
"I'll do it," Jungkook blurted out, making both Taehyung and Minhyuk face him. He noticed how the Helian's pissed expression slowly shifted into a blank one, although nobody would fail to notice the small smile on his face. "I'll measure Taehyung. He doesn't really like showing off skin. Do you have a room we can use?"
Jungkook glanced behind him and saw Namjoon and Jimin giving him proud smiles, since those two were at least a bit aware of the situation between him and Taehyung, minus the being princes of opposing kingdoms part. While turning around, he saw the thankful expression on your face as well and watched as you nodded with a smile. Still, none of it would remove the tension that was slowly thickening in the air.
"The door at the rightmost corner is the bathroom," Minhyuk spoke after a few moments of silence before passing the measuring tape, notepad and pen to Jungkook, who was extremely glad that the Vlamian didn't question his suggestion any further. "Don't take too long."
Jungkook looked down at the tools in his hands before turning around and facing Taehyung, who was staring back at him with a blank expression. A silence fell between the two. Somehow, the angel could tell what the other was thinking, even without being able to read his mind. He hoped that his friend's mind was filled with joy, even just for a moment. However, it was unlikely, which was the harsh truth.
Taehyung quietly stepped passed Jungkook and disappeared into the bathroom, the curtains over the door fluttering as he did. The Hemelian glanced over his shoulder one last time and saw Yoongi mouth a just get in there at him with a straight face, Holly nodding on his shoulders. Huh.
"I can measure myself," Taehyung spat the moment Jungkook stepped in the bathroom and shut the door behind him. The angel scanned the room for a bit and noticed the tiled walls, smooth floor and the half-body mirror above the white sink, which was located behind the darkness gem bearer. There was a glass wall to their right, the blonde barely seeing the silhouette of the shower behind it. To their right was the toilet.
"I knew you'd say that," Jungkook raised the measuring tape to Taehyung, who raised an eyebrow at him before taking it. "I figured that you didn't want them to see—"
"Shut it," Taehyung hissed, dark eyes flashing purple for a few seconds. Jungkook sighed loudly and bent his wings inwardly before leaning on the door and taking out Minhyuk's notepad and pen.
All went quiet once more. Jungkook looked up at Taehyung, who already had his fists clenching the hem of his hoodie and shirt. A snarl of pure hatred was on the Helian's face, hands trembling as he slowly lifted the layers of clothes. On the darkness gem bearer's stomach were multiple burn marks and scars slashed across his skin, each one dark and sickening, each one holding a memory of both pain and fury.
Jungkook didn't say anything since he knew he had no right to. He stared down at the notepad and clicked the pen, awaiting Taehyung's answer. A few seconds passed until his deep voice rang. "Thirty."
Nodding, Jungkook scribbled down the measurement and watched Taehyung pull down his clothes in a flash, a sigh of release escaping his lips. Another silence came but this time, it was suffocating the angel. He knew that the opportunity of being alone like this with his old friend won't be coming any time soon but at the same time, he didn't know what to do. What was there to say that wouldn't anger Taehyung in some sort of way?
Jungkook then noticed that Taehyung wasn't moving from his position and was just staring at the ground, as if he was waiting for the other to say something or do anything to break the silence. The Hemelian sighed before leaning his head on the door, baby blue eyes fixated on the lonely lightbulb above. He then let his thoughts and emotions roam free as he spoke. "We used to play house a lot. You remember, right?"
Taehyung flicked his eyes towards Jungkook, a blank expression on his face, before looking away. Silence. The angel scoffed to himself, thinking it was pointless to even try at this point. Of course, what did he expect? An answer? A scream of rage? Thinking of himself as a failure, he turned around with trembling wings and reached for the doorknob.
"I do," Taehyung's words made Jungkook pause, hand already tightly wrapped around the doorknob. "You were always the baby because you were the youngest among the three of us."
"Our little baby Jungkookie is such a cute little thing!"
Jungkook slowly turned around and saw Taehyung still looking at the ground with crossed arms. However, his blank expression was slowly shattering. The baby? He was always a step behind. Truly a baby. "Yeah... I was."
"Kiana and I were your mom and dad...," Taehyung spoke slowly, voice trailing as he got lost in thought. "And we'd..."
"Mother! Father! Kookie is hungry."
"Oh Macht... tell your mother to cook for you!"
"Hubby, I can't cook!"
"Then who cooks in this household?!"
Fully turning around, Jungkook noticed that Taehyung pulled down his hood the moment his voice cracked. The Hemelian stared in silence before closing his eyes, the memories of three little kids playing house flashing in his mind. "We'd always play in Kiana's house... the two of you would tuck me in her bed every day. Not like I complained."
"Sleep tight, little Jungkookie."
"I love you both."
"We love you too... Kookie."
Taehyung looked up, his dark eyes squinted. Again, Jungkook tried to read the expression through his orbs but just like each time he tried, he failed. Again and again, he would always fail. The darkness gem bearer glanced at his side before speaking. "Kiana always worried about you too much."
Jungkook raised an eyebrow, wings folding at the mention of Kiana. A memory of him and the Helian girl chatting and kissing in his bedroom flashed through his mind and the angel had to blink his incoming tears away. "What—"
"Back in Hel, before I left... Kiana would visit me in secret," Taehyung whispered, his voice barely loud enough for Jungkook to hear. "She'd always ask me about you and she'd say that... she missed you. That girl, really, she might act all tough but she's also a big crybaby."
Stunned, Jungkook's eyes were wide as he took in the information Taehyung was laying out before him. For one, he had never seen Kiana cry after the day they had tried to take the darkness gem bearer away from his father so hearing this was shocking to him. At the same time, he wasn't surprised... After all, Kiana cared deeply for them both.
"She... came to me too, before and after you left, I mean. She'd visit me in secret too, you know? Since Hemelians and Helians were forbidden from interacting," Jungkook responded, suddenly having more confidence to speak his thoughts. He stood up straight, wings angled proudly and fists clenched. "And back in Hemel, she—"
Jungkook paused. The harsh reality of Kiana's death suddenly slapped the Hemelian in the face as the memories of how and why she died flooded into his mind. Before the angel knew it, he was already crying, fresh hot tears streaming down his face as his lips trembled.
"Jungkook, I'll always be with you. I promise."
"Kiana didn't deserve the cruel death she had," Jungkook breathed as his hands balled into fists. Taehyung stared at him in silence before glancing at his side once again. "She was so kind and so selfless that she'd sacrifice everything for us both... even her life. Tae, I miss her so much. She died in vain because of me. If only I wasn't so selfish, if only I thought about the consequences of my acti—"
Jungkook was cut off by a towel that had been thrown to his face. As the cloth fell in his hands, the angel looked up in confusion and saw Taehyung snarling, a hand coated with purple mist raised. The Hemelian was definitely baffled and was unable to think of anything to say.
"Stop crying. It makes you look stupid," Taehyung snapped with crossed arms, lips curled into a scowl. Jungkook knew what the stare meant so he immediately used the towel to wipe his tears away. "And don't act like you're the only one who misses Kiana because..."
Taehyung's voice trailed off, once again leaving the two in complete silence. Jungkook didn't need the darkness gem bearer to continue speaking because he knew exactly what he was trying to say. So, the angel sniffled before smiling at his best friend's rare showcase of concern. "You miss her too. I know."
Sighing loudly, Taehyung stared at the side once more, Jungkook following his gaze and staring at the wall in bafflement. The darkness gem bearer seemed to communicating with empty space through his eyes before mumbling softly to himself. "She misses you more."
"What did you say?," Jungkook questioned since he failed to pick up what Taehyung had said.
"I said," Taehyung spoke sternly, expression switching to one of pure seriousness as he faced away from the wall, teeth gritted and eyes purple. Jungkook flinched, at bit disappointed at how the Helian seemed to go back to his old, cold and unwelcoming self. "We need to go and stop wasting time. There are still others who need to get measured."
Taehyung slapped the measuring tape on Jungkook's chest before opening the bathroom door and stepping outside. The Hemelian stared at the open doorway and sighed loudly. To him, those few moment of chatting with the Helian definitely wasn't a waste of time. To him, it was beautiful and nostalgic. However, before he could exit the room, there was a sensation that made him pause, a feeling of a pair of eyes boring into the back of his head.
Jungkook turned around, the bathroom suddenly looking more sinister than it was a few minutes ago. The angel stared at the mirror and scanned his reflection, staring at his blonde hair, pale skin and blue eyes before stepping forward.
Somehow, Jungkook felt like there was a presence in front of the mirror, so he stood in front of it, leaving a bit of space between him and the glass. The angel tilted his head, wings folding behind him as he swallowed dryly. Without thinking, a single name escaped his lips. "Kiana?"
There was no response to Jungkook's call, only silence greeting him. The angel scoffed to himself and shook his head, thinking that he was being ridiculous for thinking that Kiana was in this room. After all, she was dead.
"I really am an idiot," Jungkook chuckled sarcastically to himself and left the bathroom soon after, completely unaware that he had been right. K stood in front of the mirror, a solemn expression in her eyes.
"Jungkook," K, or perhaps Kiana, whispered to herself quietly. "No words can describe how much I miss you too."
-
A few hours of waiting and Jin complaining about everyone else stripping in the bathroom to be measured and him being the only one who had to show his abdomen to a bunch of strangers, Minhyuk came out of the cottage and announced that the uniforms were finally ready to wear. Jimin hopped in his place, excited at the idea of having matching uniforms while Namjoon smiled sweetly at him.
Due to his excitement, Jimin ran into the cottage and accidentally used super speed. In a blink of an eye, he was in the underground sewing room, Hyungwon screaming as he appeared.
Jimin giggled a bit, electricity still sparking around his legs. He rubbed his nape awkwardly, eyes flashing yellow as he looked down and saw the burned trail leading to his feet on the floor. "Sorry."
"Looks like someone is excited," Hoseok floated into the room, Jimin turning around upon feeling the gust of wind hit his head softly. The air gem bearer was upside down, bangs falling as he leaned his back, arms crossed over his chest and a heart shaped smile spreading across his cheeks.
"Sorry, it's just... Matching uniforms reminds of that one action movie I starred in," Jimin's eyes sparkled as he remembered acting as a superhuman in one of his most recent movies. Sadly, he couldn't recall the title of it. "That was one of my favorite roles, right next to being a rich playboy of course."
"Well, Mr. Actor, here is your uniform," Kihyun stepped forward, folded clothes and a pair of metal boots in his arms. Jimin grabbed them with a huge smile and inspected the leather jacket, his thumb brushing over the patch of Bliksem's logo, which was placed in the center of his chest and was almost as big as a regular plate. The design was split in half by the jacket's zipper. "Can you try it on? We want to see if any adjustments should be made."
"I'd be glad to," Jimin chimed as electricity crackled around him once more, Minhyuk stepping backwards at the sight. In a few seconds time, the thunder gem bearer ran into the bathroom and changed into his uniform, tossing his clothes at Hoseok as he ran outside, the air gem bearer falling to the ground as a result. Jin screamed at the sight of an orange blob zipping through and jumped into the arms of unaware Yoongi, who collapsed on his knees and yelled out a loud string of curse words in the process. Holly was screeching.
Jimin only saw the chaos he had unintentionally caused when he reached the open field outside. Looking behind, he barely saw Yoongi and Jin's figures tumbling down to floor before whispering a small; "Whoops."
"They're fine!," Jungkook called from somewhere inside the cottage, Jimin just shrugging.
Ignoring the noise behind him, Jimin took a good look at the outfit he was currently wearing. His inner top was sleeveless and was a colored a deep charcoal shade, the cloth cool on his skin. His outer jacket was made of pure leather, the sleeves covering half of his fingers. A splash of yellow was on his shoulder blades in a rectangular shape, the color running down the side of his sleeves until the edge of his cuffs. He also had a thick cloth choker that was colored the same and was patterned with a darker shade of yellow lightning bolts. The same bolt logo were on the sides of his ARMY boots.
"Your suit was designed to handle extreme friction and conduct electricity at the same time," Suran pointed out and Yoongi looked stunned at how she suddenly sounded smart. When the Vlamian noticed the fire gem bearer's stare, she laughed. "What? I'm in charge of the engineering portion of the suits. Well, me and Kihyun are."
Jimin raised his hands and stared at it. Unlike Yoongi, he wasn't wearing any gloves, but he felt like the suit helped him control his electrical powers more. He flicked his wrist towards the ground, electricity rippling down his sleeves before a small bolt of lightning shot out and burned a patch of grass on the ground. Huh, he did have more control. "Cool."
"Yee-haw!"
Jimin turned around, just in time to dodge an overly excited Hoseok flipping in the air. The air gem bearer had on an outfit almost identical to his, except that instead of yellow, the color on his jacket was a grass green shade and the sleeves cut just at his wrists. The orange haired man could also see that the other had a sleeved shirt as an inner top. He was also wearing regular black shoes and a pair of brown aviator goggles resting on top of his head.
"Hoseok's clothes are designed to adjust to temperatures. Since he flies and uses wind a lot, his suit can warm him up when needed," Kihyun announced and Jimin watched silently as Hoseok started whipping his head around in circles in the air. "Oh yeah, Hoseok! Put on your goggles."
"Hm? Okay!," Hoseok said cheerfully and crossed his legs in mid-air before putting on the goggles. He released a shrill scream as Jimin squinted his eyes since the air gem bearer was high up in the sky. "Jimin! I can see your pores from way up here!"
"Why is the bird talking about pores?," Hearing Yoongi's voice, Jimin turned around and saw the fire gem bearer in a different and better looking suit than the first. The logo of Vlam was now at the center of his chest, more red color splashed on his suit, boots looking sturdier than the first version. Holly now had a tiny collar with the grey haired man's initials as a charm. Other than that, it was all the same.
"I'm not a bird," Hoseok huffed as he gracefully landed on the ground.
"Incoming!"
Jimin turned around, confusion hitting him once he heard the sound of flowing water from afar. His eyes widened when the cottage's door swung open, revealing Jin surfing on a wave of water, Emily desperately clinging to his back. Both he and Yoongi managed to jump away just in time to avoid getting. The water gem bearer slid to a stop as the waves evaporated into mist.
"Could you at least... give a warning before you decide to do that?," Emily panted and Jimin noticed that she too was wearing something new. The protector had on a fit black inner shirt and a skirt of the same color that hung just in the middle of her thighs. She had on a leather jacket that ended right on her waist, pink color on her shoulders and sleeves, topped off with black knee-high socks and shoes. There was also a quiver filled with arrows and a metal bow strapped across her back.
"I'll make sure to warn you next time," Jin teasingly shot a wink at Emily, whose cheeks flared as she playfully punched the water gem bearer's (broad) shoulders. Jimin noticed that the blonde's outfit was nearly identical to his, having the same sleeve length and sleeveless inner top. The only differences were Tranen's logo, the blue colors and the tall scabbard strapped across his back. He assumed it was for the trident, which was left back in Greta. "Hyungwon was right though... This suit really is waterproof."
"Isn't there a way to free my wings without making myself feel like I'm half-naked?," Jungkook walked into Jimin's view while shivering, wings trembling behind his back. He was wearing the same thing with white color splashed on his jacket, Hemel's logo on his chest. The angel turned around slightly and the thunder gem bearer nearly choked at the sight of his broad back, which was exposed by the open triangular hole of his jacket and shirt.
"Sorry Jungkook but according to Wonho, they couldn't find a way to let your wings free without cutting off a portion of the clothes," Namjoon spoke up, Jimin realizing that he had been standing behind Jungkook this whole time. The earth gem bearer's long and proportional body was given more emphasis by his new suit, brown being the only color in his black turtleneck jacket. He also had on thick brown gloves and a mask of the same color.
"This is stupid," Taehyung groaned as he appeared next to a still shivering Jungkook. The darkness gem bearer's clothes resembled his old outfit since every patch of his skin still was covered to the brim. His leather jacket was hooded to help conceal his face, dark purple lining running over his shoulders and down his sleeves and half-finger gloves worn. Jimin wasn't sure about what kind of inner shirt he was wearing due to the turtleneck jacket being zipped all the way, showing off Hel's logo on his chest.
"Just admit that you love it," Hoseok teased as he floated behind Taehyung whilst whistling, arms behind his head and legs crossed.
"Shut your face you—"
"Emily!"
As if on cue, your voice came before Taehyung could completely snap at Hoseok. Jimin turned around just as everyone else did and saw you standing near the doorway, hands wrapped around yourself as you shivered. You had on a long black leather jacket that reached your thighs, colored with grey, which was worn over a fit black shirt. Instead of a skirt, you wore high waist black tights and dark socks knee high. A scabbard, containing your katana, was strapped to your waist.
"How do I look?," You asked nervously, an awkward smile on your face.
Emily bounced towards you before giving you a hug. "You look amazing!"
"Based on the look on their faces, Sky definitely looks amazing," Namjoon whispered to Jimin with a chuckle, making the thunder gem bearer turn around and follow his gaze. He saw both Yoongi and Taehyung glancing at you but the latter was trying to discreet. Of course, he failed.
"Suran, Kihyun," Yoongi spoke after peeling his eyes away from you, Holly glancing around the area as it sniffed the air. The fire gem bearer bowed slightly at the two Vlamians, the sight making Jimin and Namjoon's jaws drop. Jungkook was smiling. "The outfits and weapons are amazing. Thank you."
"Oh, please. It's a small price to pay for what you guys have been doing for Vrede," Kihyun smiled and responded to Yoongi with a bow. "Don't worry, Yoongi. We'll take care of the kingdom until you get back."
"You guys... should probably get going now...," Suran's voice trailed as she awkwardly rubbed her nape. Kihyun glanced at her in worry.
"Suran is right. We should go straight for Hemel now," Namjoon nodded as everyone answered with their own modes of agreement, some mumbling a yeah and others just nodding as well. Jimin noticed that Jungkook flinched at the mention of his own kingdom and decided to ask him about it later. "Jungkook?"
Jungkook blinked upon hearing his name and finally snapped out of his trance. "Yeah?"
"How do we get to Hemel?," Namjoon asked as Hoseok released an ah due to the question.
Jungkook glanced at everyone and sighed at the stairs of anticipation he was receiving from them all, minus Taehyung of course. Still, the angel couldn't help but smile as he answered. "It's simple, really. All we have to do is fly above the clouds."

"Shay," Massimo called out as he entered the lair of the Great Six. Shay turned around and continued to tie the strings of her cape.
"What is it?," Shay hissed and spun her trusty staff in her hands, purple mist exploding as it struck the ground.
"The wonders are on the move to Hemel," Massimo sighed as he leaned on the wall and crossed his arms over his chest, turning one of his hands to glass as he stared at his own reflection. "Vlam has just been reclaimed. Your father is pissed."
"The man just lost five kingdoms in a span of a few weeks, he should be pissed," Shay scoffed at the mention of her own father and pulled the hood over her head as she smirked. "Army status?"
"They're all ready," Massimo nodded with a mischievous smirk on his face as he opened the door for Shay. "We filtered them out. They're the best of the best."
"Good," Shay smirked with an evil glint in her eyes and relished the possibility of fighting Taehyung once more, especially because she would finally have the chance to hurt or possibly kill you. She cackled at the thought of her dear brother crumbling down to his knees at the sight of her exterminating the guardian. The laughter continued and the Helian had to grab her own head as she threw it back.
"Shay," Massimo spoke despite Shay's continuous laughter, hoping that she had heard him. "Did you expect the King to spare you when you offered your plan?"
Shay's laughter died at Massimo's question, her expression shifting into one of anger. She turned around and walked towards the window. "When it comes to father, I have no expectations. This time, however, I knew that he'd love it."
Looking out the window, Shay watched as the Helian army marched at the courtyard just outside the royal palace, each man, woman and child armed with various weapons of their liking. Behind the crowd were catapults being dragged across the area and cavalry arming their horses, along with archers practicing their aim.
"After all...," Shay chuckled as excitement bubbled in her stomach. "Hemel will never see it coming."
