Orpheus put aside his own troubled state of mind and started searching for Nabi but it was too dark to even see his own hands. He accidentally tried to breath and found out he could actually breath even though he was drowning.

Right,he confirmed all his suspicions at that moment. They were definitely in the abyss black body of lake. And that was more the reason to look for Nabi.

However he didn't need to struggle more when a sudden blue light started emitting from a small point inside the water. The light started spreading into a shape of a tree with massive branches. It was mesmerising to look at,and intimidating to stand infront of its presence. This kind of tree could not be found in the lands of humanity. A tree so massive and majestic,a presence only a very few people could bear,even a devil King like him had to be mindful of his behaviour,what could it be other than the 'world tree'.

World's most powerful being apart from the sun. They say that if you stand infront of it,you could never escape its all knowing eyes. And they also say that there is nothing in this world it could not do.

Orpheus looked at the girl infront of the tree. Yes,he could see now. Nabi was right infront of the tree,watching it with wide mesmerised eyes. He swam towards her and stood beside her making his presence known to her.

All of a sudden,a figure started materialising through the trunk of the tree. It took the form of a woman and strangely she had some familiar features. She was beautiful like a real heavenly angel.

"Hello sweetheart",A voice spoke. It was the woman but her lips did not move when she spoke. She stared at Nabi with such a warm expression that one would assume that she was Nabi's mother —wait,mother?

Orpheus widened his eyes seeing the oh so similar features of the woman and the girl shared.

"Who are you?",It was Nabi who spoke but her lips also did not move.

The woman smiled warmly,"I am your mother,sweetheart"

Amani,the princess who was abducted by Herrace Pendragon,Nabi's father.

At that moment,Orpheus could not tell what Nabi was feeling. Her lips were slightly parted as if she was in disbelief but her eyes had a complicated look. Some people would have been delighted at a moment like this but people like Nabi,who had lived a whole life without a mother,who had suffered from the feeling of loneliness,who had finally started accepting her new family,would find it hard to accept the fact she is seeing her mother for the very first time.

"I can understand your feelings my little sweetheart. I will not ask you to see me as your mother but I came to find you because I had never stopped loving you as my child"

Harsh words for Nabi because she had resented her mother when she was in the other world.

"What do you want?",Orpheus finally asked coming to Nabi's emotional rescue.

Amani looked at Orpheus before bowing her head slightly,"The former king of hell,please accept my greetings. And thank you for being by my daughter's side"

Orpheus scoffed,"Who said I am on her side? But I will not stand back if you want to harm my possession"

Amani smiled,"I am a mother,how could I ever harm my child"

Orpheus,"Then why are you here?"

Amani looked at the silent Nabi and her face saddened,"Because I have regrets"

Orpheus,"What kind of regrets?"

"Your highness,years ago,it was me who took Nabi to another dimension. It was a necessary action to protect both Nabi and this world. But in the process,I died and left Nabi alone. Even my husband died leaving my other daughter Hazel alone"

Nabi seemed to be take back realising what she meant. Hazel was her sister? The owner of her body belonged to her own sister? And that's when Nabi realised that she was originally from this world. She was not a stranger to this world. She was born here.

"W –Why did you abandon me in that world?",Nabi managed to stutter out her question.

Amani had a sorrowful expression as she stayed silent.

Orpheus was not at all affected by any of these truths. The only thing he was amazed by was the fact that Amani had managed to change Nabi's essence of her soul. She made Nabi's soul fit into another dimension. Thus,Nabi was not fit into this world now.

To mages like Taehyung,her soul would seem foreign because of that reason.

But since Nabi is managing to live perfectly in this world,no one would question her soul.

"Neither me nor your father abandon you and your sister. But things were inevitable back then. We had to do what we did to protect you both. Especially you who were destined to die in this land"

Nabi had to process what she just heard. So,she was never abandoned? She had parents. And they loved her. Was that why she had to be alone? Was that why she spent her life meaninglessly?

Nabi,"....why do you think I'd trust your words? What if you're trying to fool me here?"

"It's fine if you do not trust me. It's acceptable. But honey,let me tell you something. You can ask your friend here if I'm being honest or not......this tree behind me,is the world tree"

Nabi looked at Orpheus who in return nodded his head.

Amani continued,"Once in a century,the world tree produces a child. The child will be born to a human mother and a father. And this child itself knows that their real parent is the world tree not the human parents. But due to being born to humans,the world tree cannot interfere in their child's life. Once the child dies,the soul of the child will return to the world tree"

Nabi furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

Amani smiled,"I'm that child. I am a child of this world tree"

Nabi widened her eyes and looked at Orpheus for a confirmation. He also had a frown on his face but nodded hesitantly. He knew this theory of the world tree having children but never once thought about it.

"I died unfairly with regrets. So,my soul is not at peace. Therefore,the world tree wanted to give me a chance to meet you. And I want to do something for my children. But you are the only child alive right now. So tell me Nabi,what do you want? Tell me,I can do anything. Anything to atone my sin of leaving you alone"

Nabi had a complicated look. She did not know what to say or do. But it seemed like Orpheus had decided to speak for her.

"Anything? You mean it? Even if it means using world tree's power?"

Amani nodded firmly,"Yes"

Orpheus grinned widely before leaning closer to Nabi's ear,"There you go sweetheart. You can wish for anything right now. Anything in this world. Forget about these complicated feelings you right now about your parents. Forget about your past. Think about what you want right now"

With his words,she managed to get a hold of herself. He was right. An opportunity was given to her in a silver plate. If she did not grasp it now,she would definitely regret it. Nabi thought about her current life. She had a father and brothers. She had friends. She was happy. But she knew the future. This happiness would not last long. Her family is destined to be doomed.

And right there and then,she knew what to wish for.

"I wish for a power that I can protect my loved ones"

Amani smiled. She looked back at the world tree. Next thing Nabi knew,the world tree was speaking to her. It was not a voice but a feeling in her heart.

"I grant you a power to regress. Every time you fail,you can turn back time and come back to this very moment. You cannot go back in time before this moment. Every time you regress,you will be back to this lake. You will start everything from this very lake every time you fail to protect your loved ones"

That was how Nabi became a regressor. From then on,she worked hard to protect her family but she failed every time.

On the other hand,Orpheus was stuck with her regressions. Since he was with her when the power was given,he had to go back in time with Nabi every time she failed. At first,Orpheus did not help Nabi. He watched her in silence for five life times. He could feel some unexplainable feeling in his heart as he watched her suffer. He wanted to know what he was feeling. Then in the next four lives,he realised what he was feeling was pain. He felt pain every time he saw her getting hurt. Also the feeling of wanting to be near her grew with each time line.

When her brothers died in her arms,she cried and Orpheus wanted nothing more than to let her cry in his embrace.

She suffered a lot. Some died from torture,some died from betrayal,some died from poison,some died from unfair judgements,some died from curses. At times she could only collect her brothers' body parts.

The power to regress became a curse to her. She could not stop herself at this moment. She was depressed.

And finally,Orpheus decided to help her.

Her tenth life,both of them went back in time again. They opened their eyes inside the lake and swam upwards again like how they did every time she regressed. They were in the winter camp.

And when they came down from the mountain,the first thing they would see was Luca and Ruby waiting for them.

Since Orpheus decided to help Nabi,he knew he had to return back to hell. To find his lost wings. Losing his wings made him weak so if he wants to be a help,then he needed his wings. His fierce wings that could protect Nabi.

And when the hell door was opened again,both Nabi and Orpheus decided to get caught purposely.
