The unfortunate beginning of the kingdom had begun and long time ago. When everyone was smiling and playing,the foundation for this day had already been laid off by Nabi Pendragon.

She sat on the throne with the crown hanging by her index finger as she watched all the dukes and nobles standing infront of her with their heads bow down. They were in disbelief as they stared at floor which was stained with the blood of knights who fought to protect the crown prince. Dead bodies were still there as if to display as a decoration which sent thousands of deadly chills on their backs.

All the nobles were pale and green as some of them started vomiting on the spot. And some fainted. No one could raise their heads but they couldn't keep staring at the river of blood on the floor too.

The remaining knights who managed to survive were kneeling on the blood of the comrades with their heads down. Isabella was included in this group too,though she was the only person with a better complexion at this point. She did not look sad or enraged like others. To her,it was what it was. She was a knight,she did her duty,and she was defeated. Nothing was engaging to her. Somewhere at some point,some evil would rise definitely. Wasn't that why knights were appointed to guard the kingdom? They simply failed. Maybe she was emotionally numb but she did her part. And she is ready to die with no regrets.

Meanwhile,Nabi's generals were standing behind her throne room in a line.

Gaara was the first one to make a move. He approached the kneeling high priest and forcefully brought him infront of Nabi before making him kneel again. "Your highness,the goddess of the heaven and the queen of the kingdom,pray you give me permission to have his head present to you"

Nabi made a finger signal giving him permission. "Let him say his last words"

Gaara pouted,"You are too kind"

The high priest let out a mocking laugh at Gaara's respond. And he had to be the receiving end of Gaara's blood thirsty glare because of his own mouth.

The high priest did not flinch when he was met with Gaara's killing intended aura. He looked straight into the eyes that resemble a moon covered in blood.

"Then let me say my last words. Nabi Pendragon! Your doom is already at your doorstep. One day,there will definitely be someone! Someone who will put an end to your cruel and evil shenanigans! And that someone is one of your own blood! You will die a horrible death by the hands of your own loved ones!! This is my last oracle! Mark my wo—"

Gaara cut off his head before he could finish his sentence.

"Ungrateful bastard",Gaara cursed with a cold face.

Some noble women and men screamed at the gruesome sight.

Nabi seemed like she did not care at all about the high priest's words. She stood up slowly,"Then it settles. I'm done for the day. Nine and Logan,...take care of the kingdom in my absence.....oh and keep the crown prince in house arrest for the time being. Notify me if something happens",She threw the crown to Logan's hands before turning to Gaara. "Gaara,I appoint him as the high priest of the kingdom from now on"

Nabi smirked at the shocked faces of the nobles. The position of high priest is only second to the king in this kingdom. She wondered how interesting would it be to witness the kingdom falling into Gaara's hands.

As she walked down the throne,she stopped by Nakamura. Her voice was low as if she only wanted him to hear her speak,"It's been so long since you last returned home,don't you think so?"

Nakamura's neutral face had a slight shift at the mention of his home. He had always been a person with high control of his own emotions but at this moment,he couldn't help the grin that crept into his lips as a glint of malice flashed across his eyes.  Finally,it's his turn.

Nabi walked past him towards the exit with Orpheus following behind her.

As soon as they were away from the eyes of people,Nabi staggered back as if all the energy left her body.

Orpheus immediately caught her body with a panicked expression,"Nabi!"

Nabi removed her mask and coughed a mouthful of blood.

"We need to hurry back to Jackson",Orpheus said as he sat down on the floor with Nabi in his embrace.
"He must be in the Pendragon Manor. We need to hurry"

Nabi groaned as she gave a small nod. All this time,she could only stay alive because of the miraculous hands of the doctor Jackson.

Though everyone assumed that Nabi only had nine executive members,that was wrong. It was ten all this time. And Jackson completed the ten. He had been a member of her plans for a very long time. Just like she hid Jaykar's identity,she also wished to hide Jackson. And she had stationed him in her previous home because just in case her brothers wondered where he went. Jackson needed to be there for Pendragon family whenever he is needed.

Orpheus did not have enough mana to teleport themselves to the Pendragon mansion. He also took a pretty good damage after fighting Lucian. Thus he could only rely on his wings right now.

Nabi let out a gasp and clutched her stomach in pain. Orpheus' hand hovered over her stomach with worry written all over his face. No,he could not fly. It would take a lot of time. And it would only risk his beloved's life.

"Hang in there. Please",he whispered before placing placing kiss on her forehead. "I will not let anything happen to you two"

Closing his eyes,he squeezed out every last mana bit in his body. Gritting his teeth,he tried his best to teleport themselves. Failed.

"Fuck it!",Orpheus lifted Nabi in hid arms and ran towards the nearest window before jumping out with her still in his arms.

Piercing the clouds,he soared through the sky. It was the beginning of the dawn. The sun would rise any minute.

But Orpheus was faster than the sun thus he landed on the Pendragon house grounds. Because of his speed,he almost couldn't control his body as he fell into the ground with a loud thud but he made sure Nabi was safe in his arms.

He immediately jumped into his feet and carried her inside the mansion all the while screaming Jackson's name. "Jackson!"

"What the hell,who do you think you are? This is not Jackson's house. This is my ho—",Taehyung came out of nowhere but paused seeing who had finally appeared infront of him.

Nabi slightly tilted her head at the sound of the very familiar voice.

Taehyung had a mix of emotions seeing his sister. He indeed came to find her bit now she is infront of him,he did not know what to feel. And the burnt marks on her face made her look hideous like a monster.

"Hazel",he whispered as his eyes slightly widened.

"Brother",Nabi mumbled with droopy eyes and went unconscious.

"Taehyung,what's going on—",Jackson who came to find Taehyung also froze in his feet seeing the unexpected guests. No,it wasn't unexpected. He was totally expecting them and he was even planning to send Taehyung away before they come but apparently he was careless.

Taehyung was visibly shaken as he stared at his sister's vulnerable state. Never in a million years he thought a mere sight could hurt him but here he is. He felt like thousands of needles piercing his heart. He could not move.

Jackson cursed under his breath before running towards Orpheus. He ordered the devil to put down Nabi on the carpet.

When Nabi was placed on the carpet,Jackson knelt infront of Nabi before taking her wrist to check pulse.
He widened his eyes like a thunder had hit him,"Fuck!"

Orpheus felt like he would also go unconscious any moment as a dizziness hit him but he refused to let his guard down until he is absolutely sure that his beloved is safe.

Jackson,"It's serious this time. I told her to be careful!"

He placed his palms on her stomach first and a white spiritual light appeared under his palm. After a certain time,he placed his palms over her heart too. He took a deep breath and heaved slowly,"This is the hardest part"

Same light appeared under his palms as he healed her heart. Inside her body,her heart was tightly wrapped in a black chain,the Pendragon curse. The chains slightly loosened with Jackson's power but the burnt marks on her skin didn't disappear.

Jackson fell backwards exhausted after using all his energy on her. Never in his whole life he imagined he would be able to affect the Pendragon curse but he could do it. Though it was only for a certain limit,he could buy few years for Nabi.

Nabi was already awake. She sat up slowly with the help of Orpheus and gradually stood up. Her eyes reluctantly went to the frozen figure.

He took a step back in disbelief. He covered his mouth with his palm as he couldn't believe what he saw just now. His hands shook as he tried to speak,"Y –You.....",it was like he was having a panic attack. "Tell me this is a dream",he muttered.

His eyes burnt with unshed tears as he tried to calm himself down but nothing was working. All he could think was that she was dying. She was dying in the most painful way anyone could ever think of. Slowly burning from inside to outside. Getting her heart clenched from chain of curse. Getting her head burnt to shreds.

"Hazel",his voice shook as he spoke. He was not being himself at this point because he was never this ungraceful. He was never a one to act foolish like his brothers but he did not know anymore. "They all know why you are doing this. But they never want to admit it. It hurt them to admit something so terribly painful. However,...I am different. Stop this. We don't need your pity! We don't need you to save us! Just who do you think you are!"

Taehyung knew he was being harsh but his panick attack was not helping him with his brain.

Nabi on the other hand was calm as she took all the harsh words into her heart without feeling angry. She knew she deserved it. She smiled gently,"What do you mean? I don't understand brother. I'm just doing what I had always wanted to do. I like what I am doing"

Taehyung scoffed,"Liar. Do you like dying that much?"

"Brother,no one is dying here. But you are free to kill me. I will not stop you",Nabi said sincerely still keeping her smile.

Taehyung snickered,"Yeah?"

Nabi nodded,"Yes. But not right now. Let me go for now,alright? Then I promise I will let you kill me later"

Taehyung was going insane right now. His lips twitched in an unknown agony. He needed something to direct his anger to. He could not allow himself to harm his already dying sister. Just then he sensed something. His heart dropped.

In an instant,his palms lit up in a ball of mana as he charged towards Nabi's belly.
