The grand Duke of the nation,the father to the current King,Seokjin Pendragon,held the most power of the kingdom after the king Ashen. It's been an year and half already but he did not have a proper conversation with his family because of their own way of dealing the aftermath.

And it was not expected when Taehyung requested for a family meeting. Seokjin also wanted to check on them after all,so it was a good opportunity to have everyone back home. So he asked his wife to prepare a nice dinner for everyone to enjoy.

Everything was good.

First one to arrive was Hoseok with his devil girl beside him. The she-devil had not left even after the war but nobody ever saw her after the war. It seemed like she had been with Hoseok all this time. And to Seokjin's surprise ot not,she was pregnant.

Hoseok shrugged with a smile seeing Seokjin's dumbfounded look.

Unlike him,his wife was calmly accepting the she-devil's pregnancy as she lead her to a comfortable room. On the way to the room,her wings accidentally popped up startling everyone but she giggled awkwardly and followed Seokjin's wife.

Hoseok chuckled,"She still has a hard time hiding her wings and horns"

Seokjin smiled shaking his head,"She does not have to hide them when she is here. By the way,what is her name?"

"Shay. Her name is Shay"

It was settled,Seokjin accepted her without a question. He believed in Hoseok's judgement thus he avoided giving any advices and only wished for his happiness.

"....are you alright?",Seokjin still asked this question because no one had a nice time during the past year and half.

A bitter smile crept into Hoseok's lips as he lowered his head slightly. The smile of hope was no longer there. Only the bitterness of the survival was left. Hoseok suffered a lot during his past year and half. Countless nights with nothing but nightmares of his own hands killing his sister would haunt his life. Tue guilt of living was eating his life away like a serpent's vengeance.

If he did not meet the she devil,he would have gone insane slowly. She saved him from his misery. She gave him a safe ground taking away all his nightmares. It was hard but she pulled him up from the hell he was living. A devil from hell gave him heaven. Still,it does not mean everything was completely fine. It's just that he has a person to share his pain.

"I'm fine brother",...."how are you?"

Seokjin shrugged,"Just living because i have no choice"

Wasn't it everyone's case. Even if they wanted to die,they could not. Otherwise it would make Nabi's all the efforts go in vain.

Soon,others also filled in. Yoongi,Namjoon,Jimin,and Taehyung.

The last person to arrive was Jungkook.

His dragon Venus landed on the front yard of the Pendragon mansion startling all the knights. The first one to jump down was Gabriel Pendragon. Jungkook jumped after him. Both of them had styled their hairs in a similar way. The outfits were exactly same,just the size was different.

Jungkook held Gabriel's hand before walking towards the main door. However the little hand was all sweaty and cold indicating his nerves behaviour,after all this was his first time going to the Pendragon mansion.

"Dad,what if they don't like me?",Gabriel stopped on his tracks and asked abruptly.

Jungkook looked at him confused,"Why does that matter?"

Gabriel,"...."

Jungkook sighed,"Gab,you are a Pendragon —"

"I'm not! Look! My eyes are not even red —"

Jungkook,"You are a Pendragon because I said so. You are my son,Jungkook Pendragon's son. You don't need to have red eyes to be a Pendragon",He pointed to Gabriel's heart,"You have to be a Pendragon from here. Have confidence. If someone says anything,I'll just kill them"

Words were literally true because Jungkook never lies when it comes to his loved one's safety.

"And the people you are going to meet,they are my brothers,your uncles. They will naturally see you as a Pendragon"

Gabriel gulped and nodded firmly. He took a deep breath before taking his steps,"Let's go"

Both of them entered the mansion. At the entrance,there were two lines of servants to welcome them with their heads bowed.

"Welcome back lord Jungkook Pendragon and the young master Gabriel Pendragon",They all greeted.

Jungkook held his head high and walked inside with his son. The butler leaded them towards the dining room.

Everyone was already sitting on the large table waiting for them. Seokjin at the far corner of the table with his wife beside him,Namjoon on the other side of him. Beside Seokjin's wife Luna was the she devil with her wings and horns on full display. Beside her was Hoseok. Beside him was Yoongi. On the other side,beside Namjoon was Jimin. Beside him was Taehyung with his daughter on his lap.

"Jungkook!",Seokjin smiled.

Jungkook smiled back with a little bow,"Brother"

"And Gabriel,I heard about you from the letters. It's nice to finally meet you",Seokjin gently greeted the little boy.

"I,Gabriel Pendragon,greets the grand Duke of the nation,Seokjin Pendragon",Gabriel bowed with his hand on his chest. Elegant and clean.

"...uh I'm confused. Who is he?",Yoongi asked cluelessly.

"My son",Jungkook replied.

Pphooo!!!

Jimin choked on the water he was drinking. He coughed violently before looking at Jungkook bewildered.

"You!! When did you —",Jimin stopped himself seeing no red eyes. He looked between Jungkook and Gabriel with enlarged eyes. "Of all people,who would have thought this psycho would —"

"Ehem!",Seokjin silenced him with a glare. "Sit down both of you"

Jungkook glared at Jimin before sitting next to Taehyung who was minding his own business. He seemed to be out of the place for some unknown reason.

Taehyung's daughter,abandoning his zoning out father,jumped onto Jungkook's arms before giggling.

Jungkook was startled but he caught her perfectly. "Taehyung you bast—brother,pay more attention. She almost fell"

Taehyung snapped out and looked at Gloria on Jungkook's lap. "Oh sorry. Gloria,come here honey"

Gloria ignored him and tried to jump onto Gabriel's lap.

"Oh,this is where you want to go?",Jungkook raised an eyebrow with a smirk. "Gab,you got a little sister here. Wanna hold?"

Gabriel was delighted,"Sure!!"

Jungkook gave the little girl to Gabriel's awaiting hands. "Careful"

The she devil cooed seeing the children,"I wish my child could join them too!"

Hoseok chuckled,"Soon darling"

The rest just smiled without saying much. It was only lively because of the kids,otherwise,it would have been an atmosphere in a graveyard. They would have surely played with the kids,teased others,insulted others, or even fought with each other. But the time has changed everything. They all felt like they were sitting on a graveyard filled with death bodies.

Seokjin soon ordered the food. They had their food silently. The atmosphere was slowly and slowly turning gloomy because this was their first official meeting after her death.

Even Gabriel could sense the mood.

After the dinner was over,they decided to have a proper conversation.

"Shay,could you take the kids and go upstairs? The stress will not be good for you",Hoseok softly asked.

The she devil did not mind. She nodded and stood up.

Gabriel looked at Jungkook with concern.

"Go and play with Gloria. I'll be there soon"

Gabriel reluctantly nodded and left with Shay and Gloria. Luna naturally had to stay with the Pendragons since she is the duchess of the Pendragon house.

"So,is there anything we need to discuss?",Jimin asked. "I actually don't want to talk about what happened"

Namjoon,"It's better if we do Jimin"

"I mean,why? We are just barely moving on. Do we really have to?",Jimin strongly disagreed to have a conversation.

Seokjin,"Well,Taehyung here has something to say. So atleast we have to hear him out"

Now everyone was staring at Taehyung,waiting for him to say something. But nothing came out of his mouth.

"Taehyung",Yoongi pressed.

Luna,"Let him. Taehyung,it's fine. Speak when you are comfortable",she tried to take some pressure from his shoulders by not pressing the matter.

Taehyung gulped as he looked up. The bomb he is about to drop now would kill them mentally. He wanted to take this secret to his grave,he did not to destroy them just as soon as they started moving on. However the injustice it would do to his sister did not allow him to cower behind anymore.

"She was pregnant"

Yoongi,"Huh?"

Namjoon,"??"

Hoseok,"You mean Shay?"

Everyone was confused.

Taehyung shook his head. He felt like his lungs were burning inside him. His heart was squeezed like a poisonous pathogen grinding his heart. His throat felt dry as he opened his mouth,"....the time when she caught the capital,I was here. Right here. In this mansion. And she came here not expecting me to be here"

Taehyung looked up at the blank faces of his brothers before revealing the truth he tried hiding all this time,"....she was Pregnant"

He watched them as they slowly went petrified with enlarged eyes.

"She had a child when we killed her",Taehyung felt his own voice cracking at the end.

"...you are lying",Yoongi whispered but it was as if he is trying to tell it to himself.

Taehyung shook his head,"It's the truth"

Hoseok stood up abruptly covering his mouth and fell on his knees before throwing out everything he ate.

What have they done.

Jimin pulled Taehyung by his collar and stood up,glaring straight into Taehyung's soul. "What do you mean she had a child?"

Taehyung was numb,"It means she had a child. Our sister had a son. A Pendragon child. And we....killed his mother. We killed our sister when she was a mother"

Jimin's eyes shook violently,brain slowly processing the information,"You....you knew all this time?"

Taehyung,"....yes"

Jimin,"And you didn't tell us"

"....yes"

"JUNGKOOK NO!!STOP HIM!!"

Jimin looked over Taehyung's shoulder to see Jungkook's sword raising over Taehyung head. Eyes with nothing but murderous intention,he straight away went for the kill.

Yoongi jumped over the table,pushing both Taehyung and Jimin,getting a cut on his shoulder.

Everyone looked at Jungkook,terrified. This was not the curse causing him to go out of control,this was him going out of control.

Namjoon and Seokjin jumped to stop Jungkook from approaching Taehyung.

"Jungkook for God's sake calm down!",Seokjin cried out.

"Get a hold of yourself!"Namjoon tried his best to hold Jungkook but Jungkook was too strong.

Taehyung just sat there with a blank face without even moving. He looked up at Jungkook,"What could we have even done? Did we really have a choice back then? Even if you knew,what could you have done? Not kill her? You would only have been depressed even more"

Jungkook did not seem to hear his words. His anger taking all the control,he pushed his brothers away before reaching Taehyung.

"DAD!!"

Jungkook paused.

Gabriel ran down the staircase,followed by Shay. She tried catching the boy but he was too fast for her pregnant self.

Namjoon held Gabriel,not letting him near Jungkook,"Gabriel,what are you doing here? It's not a good time,please go back"

Gabriel did not want to listen. His all concerns and worries were towards his father who was going on a rampage. "Dad! Please stop!"

Jungkook did not look at him but lowered his sword. He stayed silent as if he is trying to calm himself down.

"Not infront of him",Jungkook mumbled to himself. Taking a deep breath,he turned around to Gabriel.

The kid was crying. Scared.

Jungkook hesitated to approach Gabriel thinking he'd scare him away but to his surprise,Gabriel swatted away Namjoon's hands before running towards him.

Clutching to Jungkook's arm,Gabriel cried,"Dad....don't be mad please"

Jungkook threw away his sword immediately and picked up him,"....I'm so sorry Gab. Let's go home"

Gabriel nodded hiding his face on the crook of  Jungkook's neck.

Jungkook did not look back. He did not want to. Deep within himself,he knew it was not Taehyung's fault. But right now,he wanted nothing to do with him. If not for Gabriel,he would have lost his shit.

"Jungkook it's raining! Stay here for the night!",Luna came running towards him with a concerned look. "Gabriel will get sick if you two ride the dragon now"

Jungkook looked at outside through a window and looked back at Gabriel. But Jungkook did not want to stay. Not after hearing what Taehyung said. He needed space. But Gabriel comes first.

"Gab,stay here. I'll come back tomorrow—"

"No!",he tightened his grasp around Jungkook's neck. "It's fine. Let's go back dad. Please"

Luna,"Gabriel sweetheart,your dad will come back —"

"No",Gabriel was stubborn. "I want to go home"

Jungkook sighed. "Alright. Let's go home",he looked at Luna and bowed,"It's fine. We'll get home soon"

Jungkook left the mansion and mount on the dragon with Gabriel on his lap. He tried to cover Gabriel with his coat but the rain was too strong.

"Venus,let's go home quickly"

Venus took off with his command.

When they reached home,both of them were soaked from head to toe. Jungkook immediately ran inside with Gabriel in his arms,shouting orders.

"Someone get me a towel! Prepare a warm bath too. Also medicine!"

His shouting came to a halt when he noticed Noah entering his view.

"Give me Gab. You go and freshen up",Noah took the now feverish Gabriel.

Jungkook looked like he would break down any time soon. He regretted coming back in the rain. Because of his own selfish feelings,he could not stay the night there. And now his son is sick.  He felt like his whole world breaking apart.

When Noah took Gabriel to take care of himself,Jungkook went outside and stayed in the rain. He could see his servants taking Venus to her dragon nest(house).

He did not know how long stayed in the rain because Noah was already behind him with an umbrella.
