It was not a war to gain power. It was a war between your own loved ones. To go against your precious person,one must have a heart of steel. Turn off your emotions,kill your feelings,make your precious person your enemy.

Taehyung blocked Zeva's mana attack with his defense mana shield. Few days ago,they were entangled in the bedsheets kissing each other's bodies in this winter camp. But now,they are trying to kill each other in the same grounds. The sea was beside them,maritime soldiers were attacking massive sea serpents who were summoned by Nabi to deal with the maritime army. These sea serpents responds well to the mana energy,the larger you receive mana energy,the obedient they become. And that's why it was Zeva's duty as the person with the largest mana energy,to control these beasts.

She destroyed numerous ships by controlling these serpents but it came to a halt when Taehyung interfered. That's how the both of them came to this point where they were trying to kill each other.

Taehyung knew that if it was a competition with mana energy,then Zeva would win but unfortunately,this was a war. The person with the best mana control would be the victor here. There is literally no one who could beat Taehyung in a game of mana control. It was not about quantity,it was about quality.

Fusing mana with air,water,earth,and fire and mastering how to control these natural elements with ease,even using mana to sense the every sensitive spot in the space,feeling the flow of mana in one's body,gaining control over a human body or your own body,these are few aspects to controlling mana. And Taehyung was a grandmaster level mage.

Compared to him,Zeva's control was not even closer to his level. Zeva could have learnt these things if she asked him during the past 8 years but she did not. Because to her,Taehyung was not a mage,he was just Taehyung who accompanied her during every cold night. He was Taehyung who looked straight into her deadly eyes. He was Taehyung who became the father of her child. She had more important things than learning how to control mana.

But right now,she is ready to go down with all the beautiful memories he gave her. But not without a fight. She has to repay Nabi for giving this life to her.

She avoided Taehyung's attack before flying towards a serpent's head. She landed on its head before distributing her mana to all the three sea serpents.

Taehyung cursed out loud seeing the battleships having a hard time dealing with the beasts.

"Prepare the Canons!!"

Taehyung heard the orders from maritime commanders in the ships.

"We need to take down that mage who controls these beasts first!",Another soldier screamed.

"Aim to her !!! Fire!!! Use mana fused Canon balls!!! Hurry!! Kill her first while others distract the beasts!!!"

Taehyung gritted his teeth realising why Zeva literally ignored him now. She did not want to push him to decide anything he did not want. Of course what he did not want was her death. She knew it.

When the first mana Canon ball was fired,it was directly shoot towards her. She was already in a trance as she was fusing her mana with the beasts. Without thinking twice,Taehyung raised the sea water as a shield around her like a huge wave.

Every mage and knight turned to him with eyes asking for an explanation. His long hair swayed along the wind as he growled out,"I will take her down"

He flew in the air and landed beside her before covering themselves from a huge water wave and turned it into a water ball separating themselves from the outside world. The serpents were still attacking the ships but he could care less now. The rest of the mages and knights would take care of them. Thus,he raised the water ball up above the sky,away from the water serpents.

Zeva woke up from her trance when she could no longer distribute her mana because of the water shield.

"Taehyung....you again"

Taehyung glared,"Yes me again"

"This is a war Taehyung"

"I do know. Am I not doing my work here? Hindering your work is my job"

Zeva smirked,"Then you will have to work harder",she fused her mana with the water ball around them and tried to penetrate her mana towards the outside.

Taehyung made a fire wall around the water ball,another mana fused shield but with fire. And on top of,he even created an air shield.

Zeva increased her mana even more trying to break free.

Another water ball circled around them from the outside and turned ice.

"You can't escape",Taehyung said with a smug smile.

Zeva,"You forgot. I have unlimited mana Taehyung. I can go on all day",she increased her power ten folds stronger.

Of course she was a powerhouse.

Her mana slowly started sweeping through all his barriers but Taehyung did not lose his calmness. Instead,he attacked Zeva with a mana ball resulting her being thrown away from all the barriers he created. It was huge blow that almost knocked out Zeva. She coughed out blood as she was thrown into the ocean. As she was drowning,she was forcefully taken up above the sky with a water bubble this time. She was drowning inside the water bubble alone as Taehyung watched from outside with glowing red eyes.

She tried escaping the water prison he created but it was harder than she thought. A shiver ran through her whole body when Taehyung started freezing her inside the water bubble. Using her power,she burst out of them bubble heaving her chest up and down, however,Taehyung did not let her catch her breath. An ocean wave hit her hard drowning her again.

Taking her up above,he caught her inside an air bubble this time. Adding fire to the air bubble,he trapped her on an inferno. This is how you control the mana perfectly.

Zeva could not help but wail in pain inside the inferno he made.

"Kill her!!! My lord!! Kill her!! Or else these beasts would go to the battlefield!"

"Kill her!"

"Kill her!!"

Taehyung's jaw ticked. He knew he has to kill her. He knew it damn it. She is his enemy. His face was white as a sheet as he raised his trembling palm. The fire power increased slowly. A temperature that could even melt metals. Not even a bone could be found if someone is burnt to death by this fire. The wails of pain started fading slowly.

A war is a war.

Enemy is an enemy.

A Pendragon is a Pendragon.

The fire vanished.

No one was inside.

Taehyung had incinerate her into nothing.

Looking down at everyone,he said one word.

"Dead"

One of Nabi's commanders are down.

In the battlefield,things were not favourable for the Pendragons.

Another hell gate was opened. Hell dogs were released. Those were the most dangerous creatures in the hell. Years ago,when the hell gate was opened for the first time,one hell dog came to abduct Nabi and her brothers had to struggle against just one hell dog.

The faceless creatures who walk with a wooden stick in their hands,dressed in all black from head to toe. With every step they took,hell fire started spreading weakening Pendragons.

Seokjin cursed out as he was forced to fall from the horse' back as he tried attacking a hell dog. He felt his hand being broken from his elbow.

How in the world are they going to face these creatures when their hell fire was weakening them to the bone!

"Dad!!",Ashen  rushed towards Seokjin as he defended him from a hell dog.

From the corner of his eyes,he saw Namjoon falling unconscious after getting attack from a hell dog. Widening his eyes,he rushed towards Namjoon and tried shielding him from the hell dogs. "Namjoon!! Open your eyes! Wake up!"

But no.

Gripping his sword,Seokjin stood up. Cracking his elbow,he placed the bones in the right place.

At this rate,they would lose this war. Jungkook was still up above fighting with Gaara. Jimin and Yoongi were corned by a group of hell dogs. Yoongi's beasts army was all getting slaughtered on sight by the hell dogs.

Hoseok and Taehyung were no where to be seen. Even the cloude the spirit King was wary as he could not approach a hell dog who could burn the spirits with their fire.

Who could help them now? The cenise army and the Pendragon knights were all busy fighting the devils.

Is this the end?

Seokjin took a deep breath before spinning his sword. He does not have any intention of dying today because Nabi needs him to stay alive. To end her misery,he needs to survive today. He must survive until he meets her.

Letting out a battle cry,he moved forward. "AHHHHH!!!"

Seokjin coughed up blood as he lied on the ground of dust and blood. His stomach had a huge open wound making him unable fight anymore. From the side of his eyes,he could see Yoongi being raised up above in the air with a hell dog's wooden stick piercing through his stomach. The hell dog was holding the other end of the stick with ease.

Ashen was still fighting using both his mana and sword even though he was beatened to a pulp by now. But with hell fire weakening his Pendragon aura,he would not last any longer.

Jimin was also lying on the ground in his own pool of blood. Seokjin could not even tell if he was alive or not. When he looked up,he saw a hell dog looking down at him with his wooden stick in his hand. The hell dog slowly raised the wooden stick hovering right above his heart.

His life flashed before his eyes.

Just as he thought he was over,the hell dog was pushed back by a force. And the next thing he saw was Hoseok's face. "Brother!"

Seokjin could not even sigh a relief because there is no way Hoseok could take down this many hell dogs alone. "Hoseok"

Hoseok knelt down beside him before taking his hand clasping it with his own. "Brother! Don't worry. Everything is going to be fine"

"...what",Seokjin managed to whisper out a confused word. He was even more confused seeing Hoseok's smile that seemed to be saying that everything is really going to be fine.

"He came back"

Who? Seokjin wanted to ask but when he felt another presence beside him,he looked at his side to see a tall man standing beside them.

His whole body went cold.

Seokjin felt his whole world going into a frenzy state. His throat choked up as if he had swallowed a bunch of not so digestible rocks. When he looked up,he was met with a pair of crimson eyes he longed to see. The safe place. Their roof that shielded them from many hazards.

"F –Father",he choked out.

Kalisto Pendragon,stood proud next to them with a slight smile. "You did great. Leave everything to us now son"

Us?

Behind him was an army of crimson eyed men. A whole massive army. And beside Kalisto was a man with the same facial features as Kalisto. Just like their father. Herrace Pendragon,Nabi's real father. However,who are the rest of the crimson eyed men and women? 

"Our ancestors",Hoseok answered to his unasked question. "The Pendragon curse is shifting. The chained Pendragons in the heaven could move now. I don't know how they materialised here but they came for us"

"My daughter has done a number on your sons",Herrace commented as he pulled out his sword.

Kalisto glared,"I told you that she is my daughter!"

Herrace shrugged his shoulders with a smirk. "She has my genes. See what she is doing?",with that he dashed forward towards the hell dogs fearlessly.

"Can't argue with that",Kalisto muttered under his breath before following his brother.

The tables have now turned. Hell fire does not even work on these Pendragons who came from heaven. They were simply......Gods?

Seokjin's eyes widened seeing a familiar figure with Pendragons. "Nabi? Nabi!"

But Hoseok stopped him shaking his head. "It's Hazel. Not our.....Nabi"

Hazel Pendragon,she did not use a sword. She simply used her power as a mage. Nabi loved swords however her twin was a mage.

"Oh",Seokjin was disappointed but at same time relieved.

The war has taken a different path but the same destination. At the end of their road,Nabi would be waiting for them.
