Seokjin's and Namjoon's swords clashed against each other creating a red spiritual lightening strings. Their enraged blazing eyes glared at each other as they pushed each other back and jumped in again to attack. The wind they created messed the fairy cave and shook the ground. Inside such a small cave,it was inevitable to stop the rumbling of the cave caused by the two men.

All the fairies emerged from the lake and looked above the cave in worry. The fairy who spoke to Namjoon was still beside him with an anxious face. She looked around to see the damage caused the outsiders.

"If you want to fight,just go outside!!",The fairy screamed.

Namjoon's back hit the wall beside the fairy making her screech. He wiped the blood in the corner of his lips and said,"No. I need to find my brother. Right now and right here!"

Seokjin scoffed,"I am the real one damnit!"

The fairy looked between the two men and spoke again,"If you lost your brother,then you should be looking where you lost him! Not here!"

Namjoon,"How the heck would I know where I lost him! You tell me! Where is he? How do I get rid of this fake?"

"Namjoon! Just listen to me! This bitch is lying"

Fairy,"I'm not! I'm a hell creature,remember? So I know how to tell apart from fake and real"

Seokjin,"Oh yeah? Namjoon,decide. Do you believe me or this bitch from hell?"

Namjoon had crinkles forming in his forehead as he was hit with the sudden command. Decide? Who should he believe? It's not that easy right? What if Seokjin is fake and making him do things without him knowing.

"Doppelgangers don't want other person to know they are fake. They only stop persuading when the real one appears",The fairy said next to Namjoon's ear. "If you are really unlucky,you will never see the real one and these doppelgangers would drag you to the dark pit of shadows where they'll torture you mentally. It would be hard to pull away from the torture once you fell"

Namjoon had cold sweat all over his forehead. He felt suffocated. "So,these shadows act on their own to torture people?"

"Yes. They are the natural protectors of hell. So they won't hesitate to do anything to make you stay away from the king"

"The king? They protect the king? Is that why this thing is trying to distract me?",Namjoon asked as he looked at Seokjin in fear.

Seeing his fear,fairy continued,"Exactly. You better run or kill this doppelganger"

Seokjin,"Namjoon,I asked you to decide"

"Look how impatient he is. He is scared you will kill him before he could drag you to the dark pit"

Namjoon gulped down and took two steps back. He looked at the fairy and looked back at Seokjin again. "You are fake,aren't you?"

"Seriously?"

"Don't fool me! Tell me the truth!"

Seokjin had a look of frustration. "For fuck's sake Namjoon! Stop being a coward and look at me directly!"

"I don't want to!",Namjoon looked at the fairy,"Tell me if I kill this thing,would I be safe?"

"Of course "

"But the shadows won't stop even if i killed him. What the heck am I supposed to do?",Namjoon broke down mentally as he dropped on his knees. "I want to find my sister. They took her away from us. Now I can't even escape from these shitty shadows!Is there a point killing him!"

Fairy sat on top of Namjoon's shoulder,"Your sister?"

Namjoon nodded,"Someone from hell took my sister. I'm here to find her"

The fairy took a glance at Seokjin who was staring at her with a look of disgust. His hands were itching to kill her and she could see it.

"I think I might know where she is. But this doppelganger wouldn't let you go to her"

Namjoon,"Why?"

Fairy,"Why? Think why he wouldn't let you go. I already told you"

Namjoon's eyes shone. Shadows protect the king. So,if the shadows are not letting him go,that means only one thing. Hazel is with the hell King.

Namjoon,"You know how to find the king?"

"Of course —",she couldn't finish her sentence when Namjoon's hand gripped her tiny body in a tight grip. A gasp left from her. When she came back to her senses,a spiritual net was thrown over the lake by Seokjin. A net Taehyung had given each member in case of something like this. It was well hidden inside a magic pouch which was also a creation by Taehyung's magic hands. A pouch that can contain anything,big or small.

Namjoon grinned widely putting the sad realisation to the head of the fairy. All this time,she wasn't manipulating them,they were the ones who were manipulating her. They played right into her hand purposely and leaded the conversation the way they wanted to.

"Now,if you don't want your people to die,show me the way to the king",Namjoon deadpanned.

Eva stared at the fountain infront of the Royal ball room. The place where she was when Hazel was kidnapped. She was close to Hazel yet she couldn't protect her. The night was peaceful unlike other days where the heavy down pour was constant at nights. There was no signal that it would rain tonight. She sat at the fountain base and looked up at the starry sky.

"Finished your shift?"

Hearing her brother's voice,Eva looked up to see Noah standing few feet away from her. "Yes brother. But what are you doing here late night?"

Noah took a seat beside her and sighed. He didn't say anything and stayed silent. Eva looked at him worry.

"You look haggard. Is the work load getting hard? I didn't even see your for few days now"

Noah had always looked gloomy but tonight,he seemed more than gloomy. His entire face had blackened from stress. Something is definitely bothering him.

"Brother?"

Noah heaved a heavy sigh,"Eva"

"Hm?"

"What if I tell you that.....what you have been believing all this time was a lie?"

Eva had a complicated expression,not understanding what he meant. He continued,"I went to the borders few days ago"

Eva's eyes widened slightly with doubt. Seeing this,Noah nodded. "Yes,the place where your —our parents died....I was meaning to go there after you told me what happened to them. But I couldn't because that area was strictly safeguarded by sir Yoongi's unit. When the Pendragons left to bring lady Hazel back,I volunteered to join teams with Pendragons to increase the safety measures"

Eva felt uncomfortable as she kept listening. Something told her that this conversation would not be good to her.

"Brother....stop"

Noah shook his head,"Why are you stopping me Eva? You need to know this",seeing no protests from Eva,Noah continued. "Pendragons keep every record of each situation no matter how insignificant it may seem. It was Logan who told me this. Sir Hoseok had once taken him to the borders so he told me everything he knew.......Eva,it's not because I don't trust you but it was hard to believe Sir Yoongi would kill our parents "

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! HE KILLED THEM!!",Eva was getting worked up. "You don't like Pendragons too! Then why are you defending him?!"

"I never said I don't like Pendragons. I neither like them nor dislike them. True they are cruel and obsessed with power but at the same time they are the protectors of our Kingdom. Maybe you had a misunderstanding because of how I interacted with Sir Jungkook but that's because I personally dislike that guy for trying to kill you for something wasn't even a crime"

Eva shook her head in disbelief. "You said it yourself that they are cruel!"

Noah,"Yes. But they take their work seriously. And it wasn't Sir Yoongi's fault that he had to chase after you and our parents. You all crossed the border illegally. It was his duty to protect the borders. And as far as I know,he hasn't killed a single a illegal trespasser without putting them in a trial unless they died accidentally"

"How are you so sure?! Why do you trust that man?! Did Sir Logan tell you this?! Brother! I am your sister! You need to trust me! Tell me why do you think Yoongi didn't kill them!"

"Because I saw it!!"

Eva's eyes widened when Noah raised his voice.

"I saw the records of that year. I looked at the record book and saw what was written in it",His voice gradually slowed down. He stared directly into Eva's eyes as he spoke,"It says that when the commander Yoongi was chasing after the trespassers,they had entered the forbidden area of the forest where beasts were roaming around. When Sir Yoongi's init found them,it was already too late. That day,his beasts pets were out there too but they were never in the forbidden area to begin with. They were strictly trained beasts who would only lift their heads if Yoongi ordered them. They wouldn't have done killed our parents. Sir Yoongi didn't even know our parents so why? What revenge would he have gotten if he killed our parents?.....nothing Eva. He does not know them!"

At first,Eva's teary eyes filled with accusation but they gradually softened. When the tears fell down,she didn't put any effort to wipe them away. She wondered why she is not rampaging over this sudden realisation. Why isn't she denying it? She should be stomping her foot on the ground and denying everything. But strangely,she did nothing sort of things. Maybe deep inside her mind knew that was the truth. Maybe she already knew it but was too scared to admit it. For years,she survived blaming one person for her misery. That was what drove her. That was what kept her alive. She never went back to search for the real truth and never wanted to. She needed someone to take the blame for her sake.  Was that what she had been doing? Maybe that's why she couldn't hate Hazel at all? She is guilty.

Eva broke down into a hysterical cries. When she was finally pulled away from what kept her alive,she didn't know what to do. Revenge wouldn't be fair now.

Noah took her to his embrace,"I know it's hard. But you need to accept this. Pendragons don't owe us anything",..."Let's stop crossing their paths from now on. We have nothing to do with them. If we push our luck,then we'll lose each other too"
