Eva and Hazel stared at each other as they stood with their brothers beside them. To Eva,it was an awkward meeting because of Jungkook's presence and Hazel's indifference towards her but to Hazel,it was just an annoying moment which she felt. She didn't want her brother to meet Eva ever again because of what Eva did to Jungkook.

On the other hand,Hazel was curious about Noah's and Eva's newly found relationship. It wasn't an unknown secret that they are siblings anymore because she had gathered some informations surrounding the capital. Eva becoming a noble thanks to Noah was a hot news around the capital because of Noah's infamous beauty. And not to forget he is Logan's best friend and always appeared next to Logan,the number one knight in his batch of knights.

Noah was an adopted child in a noble family but it was not that of a famous or strong family. They only famous because of Noah's friendship with Logan who was literally coming off from a famous Duke family. Few days earlier,Noah's mother died and Eva had attended the funeral. That's the day Eva found about Noah's childhood seeing a necklace similar to hers in Noah's neck. Hazel remembered that scene from the novel because it was one of the epic and sentimental scene in Eva's life. The reunion of siblings,it was a heartwarming scene that could bring tears to the eyes of readers but Hazel was sure that she didn't feel any sort of sentiment reading it. Because she was Nabi back then,Nabi who had loathed relationships.

Looking at how things are going around the capital,she was sure that Eva and Noah will not talk about their real parents because apparently they are named as criminals for trying to invade their kingdom without permission. And that's why Yoongi had to chase them after. Hazel didn't blame Yoongi because he was doing his job as a guardian of the Kingdom. The perspectives of people differ from how they look. Since the novel was from Eva's perspective,the books showed Pendragons as villains. And now Nabi is a Pendragon,she knows the both perspectives.

Anyways,Hazel knew that these two siblings will not reveal the truth about their parents but Eva knew Hazel knows about it. Apart from Leo,Hazel was the only one who knew about Eva's real parents and how they died.

"Greetings lady Pendragon and sir Pendragon",Noah bowed keeping his right hand over his heart.

Hazel bowed a little to show respect back since she is a junior to Noah but Jungkook stayed still with a confused face. Hazel figured that he didn't remember Eva at all now, and she couldn't be glad to anything other than that.

Eva avoided Jungkook's eyes and bowed slightly,"Lady Hazel"

"It's been a long time",Hazel said looking at Eva and smiled politely. Then her gaze went to Noah,"Sir Noah,I'm sorry I couldn't attend your mother's funeral. I was not in the capital"

Noah smiled slightly and gave a reassuring nod,"It's fine my lady"

Noah is a real gentleman and a good person. Hazel could admit it without hesitation. Though he looks cold,he is a real man with a good judgement. He does not hate Pendragons but to think he is going to be killed by Jungkook's sword in few more months,she couldn't really let that happen. Hazel didn't remember the reason why it happened but she has to stop Jungkook from approaching both Eva and Noah. It's not because she wants to protect Noah or anything but because it's the way to avert Eva's anger away from Jungkook.

"You know them?",Jungkook asked tilting his head to a side with a genuine confused look.

"Yes,this is my senior and this is....my colleague",she pointed at Noah and Eva as she introduced them to Jungkook.

"Oh",Jungkook raised an eyebrow but then crimson eyes averted to Eva with an unreadable look. He seemed to be in a mess of thoughts. "But....why does she look familiar?",He mumbled to himself.

Hazel tensed. She did not want him to remember her. It will only make his blood boil resulting that physical pain caused by the blood lust.

Hazel,"By the way,we should leave now. I have to go back —"

Eva,"Did you meet his highness the crown prince?"

Hazel paused as she got cut off which somehow is an offend towards a higher ranking noble as Hazel. Eva surely didn't know a lot of etiquette and rules relating to noble society.

Noah widened his eyes a little bit meanwhile Jungkook's eyes hardened in displeasure. He hissed in fury as he tried to speak but Hazel grabbed him by his wrist.

"I did",she replied.

Eva's eyes lowered down as she was sad by the fact,"So,he went to meet you?"

It seems like Eva's love is blooming rapidly and she couldn't even hide the jealousy in her eyes. But she managed to send a smile to Hazel and nodded.

Noah gripped her by the wrist and signalled her to stop talking which made Eva confused.

Jungkook scoffed and yanked his wrist away from Hazel as he glared at Eva,"What the hell,Hazel stop grabbing me! How dare she interrupt you while— "

Hazel pulled him back again grabbing him by his arm. "Stop it. Let's go"

Jungkook,"No! This is disrespectful!"

Eva was utterly confused but Noah pulled her back hiding her from his body and bowed to Jungkook,"I apologise on behalf of her sir. My sister is still new to the noble etiquette and rules"

Jungkook raised an eyebrow and made another ridiculous confused face,"New? What the fuck does that mean?"

Hazel sighed,"Sir Noah just recently found his little sister who was lost when they were young. Atleast that's how the rumours said?",she gave a questioning look to Eva as she pretended to be oblivious.

Noah,"That's true. But it is the otherway around. I was lost when I was young. And I found my sister recently. So my family decided to adopt her too"

He didn't go to details and replied with whatever is possible to give away.

Jungkook scoffed rolling his eyes as if he wasn't interested. He doesn't give a single shit to other people's business as long as it doesn't concern his family. With a scowl in his handsome face,he spoke,"So? It doesn't give me any reason to not punish her for the disrespect she showed towards my sister"

Noah,"I think the reason I gave is enough to reconsider,sir. My sister did not know what she was doing. And also,they are colleagues. Talking informally is not a big deal"

Jungkook gave a humourless smirk as he stared at Noah. He couldn't believe this junior knight dared to defy his words. "What did you....just say? You got some nerve huh?"

Eva widened her eyes and immediately stood infront of Noah,"Please it was my fault. I apologise for that. If you want to punish me,then please do so"

Jungkook shoved Eva away by her shoulder and grabbed Noah by his collar. "Can you repeat what you said?"

Noah stared directly into Jungkook's crimson eyes and spoke again,"Yes,if you want,I can repeat what I said. But do you really want to hear it?"

Fury of thousand suns fell upon Jungkook's eyes as he let out a humourless laugh. Veins popped out from his neck as his eyes grew wide in rage,"You fucking bastard,let me show you what happens when you dare defy me. And you will not be alive to witness what I'm gonna do to your sister for disrespecting my sister",he shoved away Noah and tried to grab his sword in the untamed fury of Pendragon.

Hazel's eyes went wide not liking how things are going. She never in a million years thought Noah's death in this life will be related to her. Jungkook is a little shit who knew nothing about anger management but if there is anything who could control him,then it is her. The only person Jungkook will listen,

"JUNGKOOK PENDRAGON!",Hazel used a tone she had never used against Jungkook. Both the tone and the use of his full name grabbed Jungkook's attention as he looked at Hazel with wide eyes. "Put,down,the,sword",she emphasised each word as she ordered him with eyes full of authority.

"Huh?"

"I said put down the sword. And come back",Hazel didn't change the tone and stayed stern.

Jungkook's hands were trembling,probably from the pain he was feeling because of the blood lust. The bloodlust is fucking up with his head constantly ordering him to kill Noah on the spot and Hazel's order was somehow triggering his bloodlust. The demons in his head told him to rebel but Hazel said otherwise.

"Come,here",Hazel said again. She knew it's hurting him but she has to do this. "Aren't you going to listen to me?"

Jungkook gritted his teeth feeling like snapping. It was getting harder to control his snap when he badly wanted to kill. He knew it was petty of him to get all triggered over few words but he was not in control of his bloodlust. He is an asshole and he knows it better than anyone. A spoiled boy from a rich family who knew nothing but authority over the peasants he never cared about. He had no sympathy for others. But this is not about strangers anymore. It's about him and his little sister.

With a clank,he dropped the sword and walked towards Hazel. He looked like a kicked puppy to Hazel when he stood infront of her,all hurt and sorrowful. The innocent face he was showing her was the exact opposite of what he was showing Noah and Eva. No one would imagine he could kill an ant with a face like that.

Hazel sighed and looked at Noah and Eva,"Then,we'll take our leave",she said and went to grab Jungkook's sword on the ground. After grabbing it,she went to Jungkook and held his wrist before walking away from them towards somewhere no one was around. Jungkook will need time to cool down and he needs space for that.

When they were farther away from everyone,the siblings stood behind a palace with so much trees around them. The wind was gracing them as if to sooth them.

"...I'm sorry",Hazel apologised first with genuine concern in her eyes this time.

Jungkook looked at her as if he was taken back from her words of apology. He made a confused face tilting his head,"Why are you apologising?"

"I know it hurt you. The bloodlust",she pointed at his body,"I knew it but still I stopped you"

"...I understand. That girl was your friend right? I...I went overboard and ...."

"No it's not like that. I could care less about what happens to her or her brother. But I didn't want you to be the bad guy. Didn't I tell you long ago that I'm going to be the bad guy for you? You don't have to hurt others,I'll hurt them for you"

Jungkook still had his browser furrowed but a smile was on his lips. He doesn't understand why Hazel was doing it but he was touched. He didn't know if he should ask or not but kept listening to her.

"I know it doesn't go well with the pain but I'll try harder",Hazel said with a sad smile.

Jungkook,"Fluffball,do you want me to be a good guy? If so,then uh I –I can try...uh no, I will be a good— "

Hazel,"Not at all. You're a good guy to me already. Good or bad only depends on people's opinions. So don't. You're a good person to me. That's already enough"

"Really?"

"Yes,now just sit down. I want you to close your eyes and feel this wind. You need to calm down your blood",She pushed Jungkook down to sit down under a tree and forced him to close his eyes.

"Fluffball,this is boring"

"Shut up. You need to concentrate or you'll be in pain!"

"I'm not in pain now. It was a moment of anger"

"I don't care. Now just shut up and concentrate. Or maybe go to sleep"

"Hey! I can't!"

"Sleep!!"

Hazel sighed heavily when she heard soft snores from Jungkook after struggling so much to put him to a sleep. A little power nap will help him to calm down. It is a solution to the Pendragon anger as Kalisto taught Hazel. But it's not like they can sleep whenever they feel anger. They need a better solution for this.

Or maybe a way to break their curse granted by the so called heaven?

Hazel's eyes darkened remembering how Jungkook trembled in pain. She hated herself for causing that pain to him but she had to.

"I promise,I'll save you no matter what. In the future,no one will have a mouth to cause you guys this pain"
