"Your highness,the Pendragon knight who had caught his highness Alexios,is waiting outside the door to greet you",A servant girl informed as she stood infront of a woman with long black hair and brown eyes. She was sitting on the couch with a cup of tea in her hand.

Her long slanted eyes looked at the maid,lifting her red lips into a slight smile. Keeping the tea cup on the table infront of her,she took out her fan and opened it to cover the half of her face leaving the seductive misty eyes.

"Let him in"

The maid hesitated hearing 'him' but nevertheless,she obeyed the order and went to open the door. The door was opened revealing something the woman didn't expect.

Hazel Pendragon stood at the door wearing the proud logo of Pendragon house on her cloak. Her long black hair was tied into a high ponytail neatly. The crimson eyes held the dominant aura of a Pendragon. She entered the room and bowed the princess of North,Beatrice White.

The princess stood up and let out her a hearty smile with amused eyes. She slowly removed the fan away from her face and unfolded it before clasping it on her palm.

"Greetings to the special guest of our Kingdom,princess Beatrice"

Beatrice accepted her greeting with a respectful bow and walked closer to Hazel. Her eyes racked Hazel from up to down. "I expected to see of the famous seven Pendragon men,.....but what I got is even more .....amusing"

"My apologies if my presence disappointed you",Hazel's voice was void of any emotion but kept her cool calmly.

"No,not at all. I'm very pleased and surprised. You...are a very beautiful lady. Though I had heard about the lady Pendragon,I've never thought I'd be surprised seeing one's beauty unless it is a man"

Hazel,"You flutter me your highness. You are way more beautiful than I am"

Beatrice,"I don't flatter people. If you're ugly,I'd have sent you out the moment you walked in"

Hazel,"Then it is my honor to be beautiful in your eyes your highness"

Hazel observed Beatrice carefully. She figured that she is not the one to mess around. A princess who competes for the throne,then she surely must be smart. She could say why Alexios would have felt threatened by this woman. Hazel had already heard how she had turned down multiple marriage proposals because of the throne she is desiring. If she married,then the right to the throne will go to her husband and never in a million years she will let that happen. A woman who is hungry for power,there is no any other terrifying monster than a woman like her.

Beatrice's slender singer held Hazel's chin making her look directly into her own eyes. "Say my lady,what did my brother say?"

Hazel,"....nothing but nonsense"

"Hmm? Not surprising but I'm curious to know what would his face look like when the woman he wanted to marry is arresting him for rival sister"

Alexios had sent a marriage proposal to Pendragon House few months ago and Hazel knew about it. But it was bluntly rejected by Kalisto.

"Say,would you choose me over Alexios?",Beatrice asked with a cunning smile.

It was a tricky question. Would Hazel take princess' side? Doesn't it mean having Pendragon house behind her as an ally?

Hazel's face didn't change as she continued to stare at Beatrice,"...I'm doing my job as his majesty's command"

"So you mean,you'd attack me if his majesty asks?"

Hazel,"Yes....unless my family decides otherwise"

"Hmm,so you trust your family decision rather than your own king?You believe your family has the best judgement for the kingdom?"

"No. I just side with my family no matter what, your highness. It's just as simple as that"

Beatrice,"So let's say your family decides to destroy this kingdom,then what?"

Hazel,"Then...so be it. But your highness,your words are offensive and disrespectful. I respectfully ask to watch what you say because right now....you're under my King's mercy. It'll be better not to create an enemy you cannot defeat"

Beatrice immediately backed away with a smile waving her hand,"Don't take my words too seriously my lady. Haha,I tend to speak boldly"

Hazel wasn't a fool and knew what her intentions. She clearly tried to see if she could use Hazel. She tried to measure Hazel's worth.

Hazel,"Your highness,I'll be one of your escort knights until you return to your kingdom. I'll be responsible for your protection from now on. Then...",she bowed respectfully,"I'll take my leave"

Beatrice smiled and nodded. She watched Hazel's leaving figure and sighed,"Guess,she is not something I can use. Though her words were respectful,her eyes spoke her true feelings. She...totally had no interest",...."Maybe I like women now? She is too beautiful"

Hazel's pov|

I left the room and gosh was she so cunning! But also smart.

By now,she must have realised she could never use me. And the same goes for me.I can see that she is not a woman to give into her private feelings. She is a strong woman who is destined to rule. I will never be able to use her if I wanted unless I give her something in return. It's all business and politics.

I looked at the hallway filled with line up knights either sides of the walls. I sighed knowing I gotta stay within the palace for a week until the princess returned back to her kingdom.

I should go and find Jungkookie since I haven't seen him for days now. I took few turns in the hallways,trying to leave the guest palace but as soon as I was out,I was met with familiar ocean blue eyes. Golden blonde hair and ocean blue eyes,who could these features have accept the royalty in this kingdom.

Leo.

It's been a long time since I last saw him. I deliberately avoided meeting him for years because I had this feeling saying he is falling for the wrong girl. He is supposed to fall in love with Eva but I had been a hindrance to their love somehow.

I watched how Leo's eyes grew wide seeing me as if he saw something he had been yearning for his whole life. I can't return his feelings. He knows it and he should accept it. In this game of power,we are enemies who seek power.

I intended to make it simple and short when I greeted him but who would ask me for a tea time. And so here I am,in his greenhouse garden,having tea with him. It's not like I could reject him inside his own territory. To be honest,I now understand why he is the main character. With that handsome face,he could strike woman after woman. If I didn't know better,I'd fall for him but no can do now.

By the way,I hope he wouldn't ask me to marry him. Gosh,I had enough rejecting him for the thousandth time.

"How have you been,my lady?",He asked after a long silence.

Lady? Is he trying to be sweet? Aww but no. I'm not into sweet boys.

"I've been very good,your highness. It has been a long busy time with the beast hunting",I answered keeping my polite smile. I guess,we are sort of strangers now after not seeing for 4 years. I wonder how I'd feel when I see Dylan again. That bastard left saying he'll be back after 3 years but it's already been 4 fucking years!! This dude!! Where the hell are you?!!

"It's nice to hear. I wish I could have seen you soon but I was also busy with learning and studying. The responsibilities of a crown prince...uh you know....tough"

"I understand. After all,you're the future King"

Leo smiled,"By the way,you have changed the way you speak. Last time when I saw you at the winter camp,weren't you a rude little girl? What changed you?"

Well,I'm grown up now.I can't bully you like a kid forever.

"I grew up?"

Leo chuckled shaking his head as if he can't believe my words. Believe it you little shit. I'm trying my best to fake my smile here!

"I can see it. But didn't expect you to be.....",he paused as he stared at me.

What,finish what you said dude.

"I to be what?"

He blushed all of a sudden as he coughed. He looked away hiding his eyes from my sight. "Uhm...so,tell me about you? What have you been upto lately?"

He changed the topic. Alright?

I think I understand what's going on. Should I tease him? Will they kill me for teasing their precious prince? Nah. I'm the Kalisto's daughter after all. I smirked as I leaned forward across the table towards him. "Why don't you finish what you said earlier? Weren't you going to say how...."

His eyes went wide as he looked at me. He gulped as he held his breath staring into my eyes.

"How strong I look?",I leaned back ruining what he had been expecting me to say. Pff,he looked so baffled. Look at you,Weren't you used to be so prideful and cocky? I need to stop or else Eva will no longer have a husband in the future.

I stood up as I put away my tea cup,I can't play house here. I need to find Jungkookie and go back to the guest palace.

A gasp left my throat when I was abruptly pulled by my wrist. When I opened my eyes,Leo's eyes were infront of me with an unclear emotion. Oh maybe it is too clear that I don't want to see it? Leo...you shouldn't look at me with those eyes because you are only going to hurt yourself.

"Hazel",he whispered my name as he came closer to my face. "I ...",he looked hesitant.

"Your highness,let go"

He didn't let go as I asked. He continued to stare at my eyes. I know that no matter how much he tried,he will never be able to confess his feelings. Power struggle between us is too much that there is no space his feelings.

"Let my sister go you bastard!"

Leo backed away a little but didn't let go.

My heart leaped a beat hearing my brother's voice. Gosh,he scared me! Jungkookie!! Oh my god,he looks scary!! Leo,this little bastard! Let go if you want to live!

Jungkook strode towards us with a scowl glaring at Leo's hand on my wrist. His crimson eyes hardened in irritation when Leo didn't let go. I immediately snatched my wrist away from his grasp and held Jungkook by his hand.

"Jungkook! What are you doing here?"

Jungkook kept his glare on Leo as he answered me,"I heard my sister came here so I came running to see her. Who would have expected this?"

Leo,"Didn't expect what?"

Now now,we don't want Jungkookie to snap. Leo definitely should watch his mouth.

Jungkook,"You to be grabbing my sister like you fucking own her!",he gritted his teeth clenching his fists.

Oh come on guys!

"Jungkook,nothing happened alright? We were having a little conversation. Come on,let's go. I don't have much time to hang around you guys. Let's go~"

I forced him to walk away with me. This little shit is too overprotective over me. He specifically hates Leo so much.

"Fluffball,stop pushing me"

This bitch.

"Stop calling me that inside the palace!! I'm a knight!",I hissed as I pulled his ear making him whine.

"But still you're my sister!"

"Doesn't matter! Now let's go and eat something. I'm hungry. And dude! I heard you got caught sleeping with a girl. This is like...hundreds time!!"

Jungkook,"Are you kidding me?! Hundred?! Do you think all I do is sleeping around?! Don't exaggerate!"

"Then have a little privacy!! Don't just do it on public places!"

"It was an empty hallway!"

Is he for real?!

"Are you fucking kidding me?! Even Luca knows his limits!"

Jungkook paused at this and looked at me with a frown,"He sleeps with girls?"

"Duh! He is a man after all"

Jungkook crossed his arms over his chest and stroked his chin as if he is thinking. "Didn't expect that"

"What do you mean?"

Jungkook scoffed,"Aren't you like his best friend or something? Didn't you notice the tension between him and Jaykar?"

"Jay?!"

"Yeah Jay or whatever. I thought there is something between them but I guess no?"

I didn't know? For fuck's sake!!! How didn't I notice?!! Have I gone blind? But my cute Jay is too innocent! Luca is a shit fly who knows nothing about romance. It's not like I know anything about romance.

Jungkook and I walked forward but we had to stop on the way seeing Eva and Noah coming towards us.

Wait,they are....

I guess,by now they must know who they are to each other. Now this is dangerous.
