Kalisto Pendragon, a man with great powers. With great manipulative skills,he had been able to hold the authority over the noble society. Also,just as how every villain holds the most power in a story,he also has the strongest power. From physical strength to money,he has everything. Even an army of Knights that serves this kingdom under Kalisto's command. Though he is not the king,he lives as the King. Even the imperial Palace would not dare go against this man.

It would have been fair if this old Kalisto was a wrinkled old dude but contrary to his old age,he is still rocking looking fine as hell. Because of his divinity swords practices,his age doesn't show from his physical appearance. The only flaw in his face was the scar over his right eye,but in my eyes,it looks so hot.

Snap out of it,he is my uncle aka step dad!

This author must have a kink for villains or else why the hell did he make these villains handsome as hell?

"My precious daughter, what would you like to eat?", He asked as he carried me to his office in his arms.

He looks so happy despite killing a woman just now. He slashed that woman in one go and ordered his sons to put the body infront of that lady's family house to set an example.

I still feel my body trembling seeing Kalisto's eyes that time. They were glowing red like a monster who had just been unleashed.

"Your grace,wouldn't it cause a trouble to us later? She is a lady from a noble family?", I couldn't help but to ask this. I'm definitely not concerned over that lady who bullied me but still,I'm worried over my future in this world.

Will her family come to avenge her? This might be a step to villains' downpour. I almost had a control over the situation because Jungkook was willing to listen to me. But things are different with Kalisto. He doesn't listen. If you anger him,then you die.

"First of all....", he opened the door to his office and entered. "It's not 'your grace'. I'm your father now. Call me father"

I huffed in annoyance and looked away. It's not easy for me to call him 'father'! I had never called anyone 'father'. It feels strange.

"And you don't have to worry about a thing"

"But —"

he put me in his grand chair infront of the table and crouched down to my level. "But what? ",He looked straight into my eyes. "Hazel,you need to remember this. You have to always keep in your mind that you are the only lady in this house. The only lady of the Pendragon house,Hazel Pendragon. If anyone dares to disrespect the lady of the house,my daughter, that person shall pay with their life,got it?",..."Even if it means Imperial family members. We,Pendragons are the protectors of this Kingdom, thus we do not bow our heads down to anyone"

Protectors of the Kingdom, that's right. The Pendragon blood is aggressive from its nature,thus they yield greater power than a normal knight or a mage. Pendragons are the war gods,the guardians and protectors which happened to be the villains too. How ironic.

So does that make me a god now?

I do not mind.

As long as I live,I can be a god or a beggar. Everyone wants to live,why pretend to be righteous like a Saint. No one is Saint,everyone has their own darker side. Hiding the disgusting truth about themselves, they pretend to be good and clean. I'm not a hypocrite like that. So,I admit, I'm not a good person.

Kalisto put a chess board infront of me on the table and went behind my back. Crouching down to my ear level,he spoke. "Do you know what this game is?"

"Yes?"

"Then tell me who holds the most power in this game?", Kalisto asked with a smile.

Hmm,isn't it the Queen?

"Queen?"

Or not?

Kalisto,"Think again"

It cannot be the King,right? King can only move within one square. If it is not the Queen,then.....I think I know.

I looked at Kalisto before moving a pawn from its square to another square. "It's the player,I,right?"

Kalisto gave me a bright smile and stroked my hair. "As expected, smart", he swept his eyes over the chess board before capturing the King in his hand. "We are not a part of the chess board. We just play them. That is the power Pendragons hold. Hazel," He looked at me,"One day,there will be someone who is going to take that power from us. Someone is definitely going to release the imperial family from our clutches, we must never let that day come. If that day comes,it will be the end of our family. Also,this Kingdom"

Hm?

"When the kingdom lost their protectors, it will eventually go ashtray. It may seem as justice to free the Kingdom from us but it will definitely be the end. This Kingdom cannot survive without us. Wars will break out without a strong barrier,people will die from starvation. That is the bitter truth"

A truth even I didn't know.

When I was reading the novel,I also thought it was right to get rid of Pendragons. It was justice for the Imperial family and people. Even author had never mentioned about something like this.

Author, come out and clear this. Your lousy story is taking a wrong turn here. Maybe you did a terrible mistake while writing? Anyways,I won't forgive you. I will keep cursing you for writing this story,you lousy author!

"So my Hazel,you need to stay strong with your brothers. I need you to be as powerful as your brothers and even more if you can. Learn everything, from etiquette to swordsmanship or magic"

Kalisto stood straight,"What I saw today really disappointed me. You hurt yourself thinking we will not believe you. Do you think your brother won't find out? They just went along with your lies because that was what you wanted"

Fuck,I had screwed up. I had underestimated them too much.

"You don't have to hurt yourself like that ever again. If anything, it should be you hurting others and not the other way around "

Wait what?

I looked up with wide eyes.

Is this something you tell your daughter? No right?

He tucked his hands inside his pockets and smirked, "If you don't have a reason to hurt others,then create one. Don't ever hurt yourself, do you understand Hazel? Don't be insecure anymore. Inside this house,there is nothing for you to be insecure about. Beauty, money,jewellery, what do you want? I can give you anything"

"...anything you say...", I mumbled. No you can't. Even someone as powerful as you cannot defeat your fate. But I feel so grateful for the kindness he is showing me. Don't get too attached. You are Nabi,not Hazel.

"Oh right,there is something else I need to tell you"

What is it this time?

"His majesty the King had given you an audience with him. It seems like he is curious about my new daughter"

"Me?"

"Yes,but don't worry. I'll be there with you"

Wait,so I am going to the palace? This is not good. It looks like I won't be able to avoid meeting the male lead this time. According to the story,Hazel was supposed to meet the male lead outside the palace. I thought I avoided the situation but it looks inevitable since our beloved male lead happened to live in that Imperial Palace. The crown Prince of the Kingdom aka the male lead of the story is the doom of my life. I must avoid him at all cost.

"By the way Hazel"

"Yes?"

"Why are you all serious today? It doesn't really suit my little crazy daughter "

"Ha! Look at you! After murdering a woman right infront of my ten year old eyes,giving me a damn big lecture,asking me to trample the Imperial family if it is needed,what do you expect me to do?!Are you sure you are a father of seven children?! Woah!! I can't believe you are my father now! Dude! I'm 10!"

He laughed throwing his head back. He is crazy.

"Now that's the girl I know. And believe it or not this is my way of bringing up kids"

No wonder they all turned out to be psychos.

"You are a terrible father"

He grinned like a cheeky kid,"I know,so call me father now"

"Hell no"

"Why?~"

"Because you are terrible?"

He pouted as he picked me up again. "I'm so sad. My daughter is not giving me any face"

"Deal with it"

"Hazel,Don't do this to your poor father"

He is the biggest baby in the family. So whiny. Do I really have to deal with him? His sons are more than enough in my plate. Oh right, there supposed to be seven brothers but only six have appeared yet. The remaining villain,Yoongi Pendragon. He must be near the borders taking care of wild beasts.

He is in charge of killing mutant beasts who try to invade the capital. It's like a war there. During this time,female lead loses her parents. And me and the crown Prince will be saving the little female lead's life during this time too. But now I am here,I wonder how things turn out without real Hazel.

I feel sorry for the female lead but I must avoid her too.

"Oh right, I'm going to appoint another etiquette teacher for you. This time, I'll make sure to bring the best one for you. Also a teacher for your sword practices. How does it sound?"

"....Brilliant"

From this moment, I'm really starting my survival game.
