Hazel's pov|

In my previous life,I remember having so many affairs. They all ended up because of one reason,my background as an orphan. So I got used to it. It was a toxic feeling that grew up in my heart. So every time a man broke things off,I'd smile first and would thank him for wasting his time to entertain me. It was fucking hilarious to see their faces after I said how I fucking enjoyed faking my feelings.

But thanks to the experiences I had,I wasn't scared of anything. I had nothing to lose. The only thing I desired was my own life. I wanted to keep it to myself because it was the only thing I possessed. I earned money,made myself comfortable, went to clubs, drank to my heart content, smoked,life was fine until I transmigratted here.

A totally different life from what I experienced. But it didn't change the fact wanting to live as a freeloader. And that's what motivated me to come this far. To die like this,no. I didn't plan everything so I could die from the flames of hell today.

So,I feel so unfair now. These flames in this water is slowly hurting my body,trying to swallow me. I opened my eyes and tried to swim upwards. I raised my hand trying to grab onto something though I knew there was nothing to grab.

Gasp

Something held my hand!!

I looked up with so much struggle but my vision was blurry. My chest was hurting so much as I felt like my lungs would explode any moment. I tightened my grip around that hand and that person pulled me out of the water.

Gasping loudly, I looked at the person who was breathing next to me.  One crimson eye was staring at me with an emotion I didn't fail to notice. And no fire was reaching to us because of his holy aura around us. The aura of a great Pendragon,the power granted by the gods,he is using it to protect me.

"Brother Yoongi"

He swam towards the ground and placed me on the ground before coming to my side. And the red aura around him was slowly fading as if it is a sign of his weak body. What happened? Why is his aura twitching like this?

"Brother?what's —", I coughed loudly in the middle of the sentence but managed to ask again,"What's wrong?"

Yoongi laid on the ground feeling weak as he stared at me. "I'm fine. Just tired"

What?

"He jumped into the flames of hell to save you. His aura was indeed strong to keep you and himself alive but it had drained too much of his energy and aura", The hunting wolf's voice reached my ears. I looked at where it came from and found Jungkook and Luca standing infront of that creature with their swords out.

"A gift from heaven but it can't defeat the flames of hell"

My mind went blank as I stared at Yoongi who was losing his consciousness slowly.

Yoongi,"I'm...fine", he mouthed.

No he is not.

His eyes were closing infront of my very own eyes.

Hey Nabi,you promised to yourself that you are going to protect them,right? Where is that promise? Look at your brother. He is not fine at all. Everyone is risking their lives,for me. Yoongi,Jungkook,Taehyung and probably others too.

The aura around Yoongi completely vanished as he closed his eyes.

Something is shattering in me. Something is hurting me. It hurts.

"Wake up", I mumbled. "Wake up,brother"

Third person pov|

Jungkook clenched his jaw when he saw Hazel's frozen form on the ground next to his unconscious brother. He felt his blood curling inside him provoking his murderous intentions. But he couldn't let his feelings get over him because he is the only sane person right now.

He needs to protect his sister and brother. And the brat next to him too.

"You,good job fighting till now. Let me handle the rest", Jungkook said to Luca who was already injured from top to bottom.

"What?! No fucking way!"

Jungkook, "Listen. Take Hazel away from here. Can you do that?"

Luca,"Are you fucking kidding me?! There are so many beasts!"

Jungkook, "But you are strong,aren't you?", He deliberately provoked Luca. He knew how desperate this distant cousin of his to show his strength. "Can't you handle a beast or two? Plus,you will soon find one of my brothers there if you run towards the exit"

Luca gritted his teeth,"Fuck you! I'm strong! I will take her with me!"

Jungkook smiled and stood infront of the hunting wolf so he won't go after Hazel and Luca.

When Luca the frozen Hazel to his back,hunting wolf's eyes followed Luca. He tried to make a move but Jungkook's strong and aggressive sword move stopped him chasing after them.

"The youngest of the Pendragons,the strongest", the hell wolf stated tilting his head. "But do you think you can handle someone from hell?"

Jungkook snickered, "I don't know what the fuck you are and why the fuck you are here,but I can make sure that you will not move from this area"

"Let's see that"

And that's how Jungkook's fight against the hell wolf started. A mortal against a spiritual being from hell. But Jungkook wasn't just a mortal,he is a Pendragon with the strongest and purest blood in him. With extraordinary strength, it was a real battle hell wolf received.

No matter how hell wolf tried to chase after Hazel,Jungkook wouldn't let him. He kept the creature within that area as he said. Even when he received numerous stabs to his body,he kept fighting.

Jungkook coughed blood as he received another stab to his abdomen. His murderous eyes shone in red as he charged forward again. The only thing that kept him going was the thought of his sister.

"You are a tough opponent. I give you that credit,I'm amazed at how you still hold onto your sword"

Jungkook grinned,"Should I feel honored? Fuck you. I can stand however long I want if it means I can protect that one thing I want to keep closer to me"

"The person you are trying to protect is not something you should hold onto. She doesn't belong to this world"

"I don't know what the fuck you are talking about. And it doesn't even matter to me. If anyone tries to steal her from us,then that person deserves nothing but death"

"You are foolish,you know that? Heavens had granted those strength to your family to keep this land safe and not to protect a mere existence of a nobody like her"

Jungkook's face was blank. "A nobody you say? Huh,you know,people had been treating us as monsters for many years because of that fucking strength heaven had granted us. I thought they were right when they called us monsters. So,I let myself become that monster. I thought it was normal to feel this anger,fury,blood curling pain in my body when I'm frustrated but how wrong of me to think like that. The nobody you said,she taught me how beautiful a smile can be. Even a shattered person can smile. Even a monster deserves to smile. And she decided to be a monster for us. That nobody is very special to me"

"...I see. But I'm sorry. This is my job. And you could have fought better if it wasn't for the hell fire around us which drained your energy more than usual. Pardon me. But I need to catch your sister. Let me finish you honorable sire"

Jungkook knew that his energy was also draining like Yoongi's. He felt it the moment the fire started. Yet,he forced his body to keep going. He is at his limit.

The hell wolf turned his sword into the long silver stick. He raised it high up in the air,ready to send his last attack.

Jungkook fell on his knees,praying Hazel had found one of his brothers at this point. Taehyung is closing the gate and he is almost done. He believed that Hazel is going to be fine. He closed his eyes with a slight smile. A single tear left his eye knowing he will not be able to see his sister anymore.

Hell wolf swung the stick creating a blue fire from the tip of the stick. It directly shoot towards Jungkook.

But,

Jungkook felt nothing sort of a pain. It was just another second. But when he opened his eyes,he saw the blury image of his sister's back. The fire was spreading to the either side of her as she had kept a sword in between fire and herself.

Jungkook couldn't keep his eyes open as he fell forward onto Hazel's shoulder. He heard her voice,distanced yet so close,"I'm sorry. I'm sorry,Jungkookie"

Few minutes earlier...

Hazel forcefully jumped off Luca's back.

"No,you are not going back", Luca warned.

"I must go back"

"Are you fucking crazy?! We can't win against that creature. And didn't you feel weird in your body?! Our energy was draining out!"

Hazel looked at Luca with stern eyes,"That's why I must go back. My brother is in danger"

"He is a professional holy knight, alright?! Don't fuck up everything now! We'll only be a burden to your brother!"

Hazel took a step back. She was determined. Suddenly she pulled out a small pouch from her waist.

Luca,"What is it?"

"This is a magic pouch I stole from Taehyung. It can contain any large object we need to carry"

Luca decided to ignore the fact that she stole it from her brother.

She pulled out a sword from it. It was the sword she bought from the auction. "This sword will stop the energy draining for few minutes. I have to try atleast this"

Luca,"You are going back now?"

"Yes,please go and find some help. Find my brothers"

And that's how Hazel returned. Hazel knew that she won't be able to use the sword since she is not the real owner but she atleast hoped it will last for few minutes.

"You came back?"

Hazel,"My brother needs me,how can I run away"

"But he did everything so you could run away. At this rate,you are making his sacrifices useless you know"

Hazel knows it! Better than anyone! But she couldn't! Though she badly wanted to live,she couldn't run away. Not when her brothers are in danger.

"That sword,it reflected my blue flames. What is it? It's so strong"

Hazel smirked,"A sword that will keep you away from me"

"But it seems like it doesn't want to serve you. It doesn't belong to you right? It will no longer work for my flames. Then,let's get serious, shall we? Your brother is almost closing the gate"

Hazel widened her eyes when another raging blue flame came towards them. She knew the sword won't work again for her. She closed her eyes tightly covering Jungkook with her body.
