Finally, it was the debutant day. Pendragon main hall was slowly getting filled with the noble families who were invited. Every noble who entered had one intention and that is to build a close relationship with Pendragons. The untouchable duchy of the kingdom, how wonderful to have a close relationship with them.

And on top of that,this is the debutant of the one and only lady of the Pendragon family. Nobles didn't forget to bring their sons along with them to show off. They were all elegant and beautiful,all for lady Hazel.

Ladies were envious of how famous Hazel among men even though no one had really seen her. And not to forget she is still 14. They secretly bet she didn't even have any boobs yet. How far can their jealous go? If this child can be this famous without even showing her face,what will happen when she grows up? Girls were all burning with this thought.

But of course there were some genuine ladies who wanted to support her but it's not like they can approach the lady of the Pendragon house.

"His majesty the crown prince has arrived!"

Everyone jolted in surprise and looked at the main door. The drama they all have been waiting might take place today. It wasn't a secret that King wanting lady Hazel to be engaged to the crown Prince. Will that be announced today? Or will they dance together for the first time? Gossips were taking place so openly and everyone joined so excitedly.

A handsome boy with blonde hair and ocean blue eyes entered. His royal attire was shining under the chandelier. So handsome that even old ladies drooled over him. Though he is still 14,he had a mature look than his age. He didn't really glance at those desperate ladies and walked straight keeping his head high.

The crown prince felt a little irritated hearing all those whispering about his looks and all and tsked.

"Your highness, everyone is watching. Please refrain from making an annoyed face", His personal guard warned him respectfully.

Leo sighed and walked to a table and sat there alone with a juice. "When will this begin?", He mumbled to himself already feeling bored.

"Are you bored your highness? Prince Dylan must be on his way here,you won't be bored that much later", the knight reminded him.

Leo again made an annoyed face hearing about Dylan. "I'd rather stay bored"

"Don't be mad —oh look,she is coming"

"Announcing the entry of the Duke Kalisto Pendragon and his beloved daughter the lady Hazel Pendragon!"

This will be the first time Leo sees her after 4 years. He didn't want to admit it but he was curious how she looks now. She was so little back then. Is she the same now? He guessed that her attitude must have grown worse with the time. He felt like going home again.

He lazily looked up at the second floor where the Duke and Hazel arrived at. For a moment, he paused in surprise. In a purple and white dress,Hazel stood beside her father. She has grown up. And gorgeous,she is. Her smile was radiant and bright as she clutched onto Kalisto's arm.

She came down the stairs with Kalisto beside her. Her brothers followed from behind. The whole Pendragon family is escorting her. Some people might see this as a beautiful family moment but smart people know what Pendragons intended to say by escorting Hazel all together.

That is purely a warning given to all those who try to harm Hazel. 'This is the one and only lady of our family, try laying a hand on her,you will face a horrible death'. Their eyes said it clearly as they sent a death stare to the crowd.

And Hazel wasn't oblivious to not see the pale expressions of the noble men,she smirked to herself.

"Today is my daughter's debutant day,it's a very special day for me. My one and only daughter is going to the society. As a father,I feel rather upset that I have to show my daughter to everyone", Kalisto said in a monotone buy when he looked at Hazel,he smiled. "But too bad,she is growing up so fast. And lastly, thank you for coming to celebrate this special day. Please enjoy the rest of the party"

Everyone went to being noisy again whispering things as they stared at Hazel. Some people tried to approach Hazel but stopped seeing the crown prince approaching her.

He stood infront of Hazel and Kalisto receiving a small bow from the Pendragon family members. Leo looked at Hazel,"It's been a long time my lady,congratulations for the debutance", he gently took her hand and bent down placing a soft kiss on her knuckles as a gentleman.

Hazel smiled a little,"Thank you,your highness"

"If you don't mind,would you mind having a chat with me ? As childhood friends, we should catch up things we missed"

Hazel almost scoffed at the word 'friends'. But she couldn't act rude infront of all the people. She couldn't bring shame to her family. So,she nodded.

Though Hazel agreed,her family seems to have opposite ideas. They didn't like this meeting at all. Their growing hatred is so visible in their eyes and the tension was so suffocating to the people around them.

Leo took Hazel's hand and lead her towards a corner to talk freely under the scrutinising gazes. It was almost uncomfortable to talk with the gazes around them.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please enjoy the party as you please. Let's not make anything awkward", Seokjin spoke with his honeycomb words but when he opened his red eyes,everyone saw the warning in them. So everyone minded their own business without gazing at Hazel and Leo.

Music was playing softly from the background as Leo started speaking freely. "You....have changed,I mean you've grown tall a bit?"

Hazel smirked as she gave a reply,"Is that so? I guess I've been too healthy over the past 4 years"

Leo,"Good for you then",..."You know,I came to visit you that day"

"Which day?"

"The day you got hurt by that beast"

"Oh,why did you even bother? Didn't I tell you why I helped you? I wanted you two to owe me. I wouldn't have helped if there was nothing to gain"

A nerve popped out from Leo's forehead seeing her attitude. It's not like her attitude was different before but seeing it again pissed him off. "Why are you like this? Eva respects you so much,do you know that? It's okay if you are only targeting only me but why her"

"Oh my,she respects me?", Hazel looked at him with amused eyes, "I guess I'm pretty impressive huh?"

"Don't be rude,lady Hazel. I don't have any evil intentions towards you",Leo was sincere when he said it. He genuinely doesn't want Hazel to get involved but he knows it's impossible. Hazel is a part of that family.

Hazel,"Oh really?", she wasn't buying his words.

"Forget it",Leo looked away. He stayed silent for a moment until he heard the music took his attention. Right, no one is dancing until Hazel goes for her first ever official dance. He looked a bit hesitant before asking her,"Uh,my lady,would you mind if I ask for your first dance?"

He knew that everyone is expecting them to dance together. And if he danced with her,it will be a positive feed back to the engagement imperial family needed. If the people in the kingdom saw them as a couple, then wouldn't it be easy to make her his fiancee. His father is still after the Pendragon family and he has to do as his father asked.

Hazel looked at him and stared at his face for few minutes as if she is thinking something.

"Announcing the arrival of the Prince Dylan!"

Hazel's eyes widened a bit in happiness. The person she had been waiting for. Yes,this is her chance. The chance to break the backbone of Leo's future army. Her eyes went towards the main door. There he is,a handsome young built man in black asian robes. He had a different facial features compared to the people in her kingdom. A combination of an angel and devil,so handsome. His hair was raven and long.

Looks like he is not drunk today. As he entered,everyone went silent. Few gasped heard when Hazel stood infront of him. Even the Pendragons were shocked as hell when Hazel bowed him inviting him for her first dance. The shock was great that no one could utter anything. What in the fucking world is she doing?! A powerless prince out of all men?! She could have even asked one of her brothers to do her first dance! Yet she went for the drunkard?

He looked down at her and slowly smirked bowing back accepting her offer.

This is fucking crazy! Everyone was going insane! A prince who doesn't even bother to respect the current kingdom's culture, a drunkard, a good for nothing!

Unforgivable!

Leo was stunned in his place as he stared wide eyed at the duo.

Dylan took Hazel's hand and lead her to the dance floor. Everyone moved away giving them space. The foreign prince circled one arm around her waist and moved with the music.

"How interesting, my lady is so daring", he whispered.

The accent, she knew it! The drunkard she met at the alley! This man is full of surprises and she knows it.

"What's so surprising? I was merely trying to find a dance partner", she replied as she swayed with him.

"Do you even know who I am?"

"Of course, they announced your name"

"Then,of all people,you chose me?"

Hazel smiled as she looked at him sharply. "You look much more interesting than me,it's fun to know interesting people"

Dylan grabbed her by her waist and raised her up in the mid air spinning her. As soon as she stepped her feet on the ground, she stepped on his feet.

She widened her eyes feeling embarrassed.

He chuckled amusingly, "You stepped on my feet"

"Sorry"

"No problem, you are not that heavy"

Hazel mentally cursed him,if I am not that heavy,you could have keep quiet about it!

"My lady"

"Yes?"

"Congratulations for your debutance"

Hazel smiled,"Thank you,your highness. And congratulations for you too. Isn't this your first ever official party in our kingdom? It's like a debute for you too"

"Nah,I've been partying ever since I came to this kingdom. I only came here for free food"

Hazel,"It seems like the royal chef is not good at satisfying your highness' hunger. Please feel free to eat and drink to your heart content"

Dylan tilted his head and chuckled,"Then don't complain when I pass out"

Hazel nodded her head and smiled. Both of them ended their dance elegantly and bowed to each other before leaving to two different sides.

Dylan looked back at her tilting his head,"What a different soul"
