Hazel's pov|

Only two days are left until my debutant ball. And here I am crawling in the mud in the middle of the night. I'm trying to sneak out. There is a night festival at the market today. So many people from different countries and kingdoms would come there to sell or buy things.

In the novel Leo comes to this festival in disguise. Coincidentally, Eva would come too. There is an auction. They sell a precious sword there. It's a holy grade A weapon. Leo is trying to get his hands on that weapon.

The second fateful encounter of the male lead and the female lead would be there. After 4 years,they are going to meet again. I don't remember how exactly they are going to meet because I don't remember ever little detail. But whatever, they can meet anywhere and anytime, I won't even care. What matters is that holy sword. It's a centuries old sword. There was a whole paragraph about that sword but unfortunately i skipped that 'unnecessary' part. Stupid lazy me,I want to hit myself.

I pushed away the bushes from the wall. There is a secret hole in this huge wall somewhere. Training knights sometimes use it to sneak outside to have fun. Ugh,where the hell is this damn hole?!

"What the hell are you sneaking around for? You have a death wish?"

Crap

Of all the people,why did it have to be this midget?!

I looked back to see Jimin standing there with a confused face. It's past midnight! Why is he awake?!

"W -What are you doing here?!", I stuttered out.

Jimin raised an eyebrow, "I'm a knight for fuck's sake! I have duties too! But the real question is what is this pampered princess doing here sneaking around like a thief"

Oh god!

Jimin,"Are you perhaps searching for that secret hole in the wall?"

My eyes lit up but tried to hide it. But seeing his amused expression, I can say he figured out my intentions. Come on Hazel,think of a lie!

"Don't even try to lie. I'm going to report this to father -"

"No wait!!",I grabbed his leg and hugged it without letting him go. "Please! Don't tell papa! He will kill me!"

"Don't exaggerate"

Of course Kalisto will never kill me.

"Alright, but please don't tell papa! Please brother!", Fuck! Shit! It feels weird to call him 'brother'.

He smirked feeling satisfied. That evil smirk,he is planning something. This bully is awful!

"Alright, since my dear sister called me 'brother' so pitifully,I will listen to you. So,tell me now. Why are you trying to sneak out?"

I bit my lower lip not wanting to tell him but if I don't, this punk will ruin my plan.

"Are you trying to go to that festival?"

I looked up with wide eyes.

"Knew it! Hah! No wonder you are sneaking out. Father will never have allowed you to go there"

Yes,he would have never allowed me to go to that festival because it's such a dangerous place. Smugglers are everywhere trying their dirty businesses.

I pouted and showed my puppy eyes to Jimin. He scoffed and looked at me in disbelief. But he stared at me for good five minutes before sighing. "Alright, but I'm going with you!"

Yes!

It's okay,I will find a way to go to the auction somehow. What matters is going there for now.

"Thank you brother!!", I smiled widely.

Jimin rolled his eyes,"Come on,you are searching the wrong direction. The secret hole is there", he pointed at another side.

I stood up enthusiastically and followed Jimin. He pushed away some bushes and showed me the hole. We both knelt and looked at it.

"What are you two doing?"

Fucking hell! Who is it now?!

I looked back only to gasp. Namjoon!!! You got to be kidding me!!

And at last,me,Namjoon and Jimin went to the festival together. Thank god Namjoon agreed although at first he refused. I showed him my irresistible puppy eyes and begged and cried and rolled on the ground. Call me shameless, but I need this sword. This sword played a huge role in the novel. I can't let that happen. This sword should belong to me.

The streets were bustling with people. So many stores,stalls,and people. Even the sky was colourful with a lot of fireworks. Truly a sight to see.

"Hazel,Do you want to eat anything?", Namjoon asked.

I'm a bit hungry.

"Let's try something spicy?", I said.

Both Jimin and Namjoon agreed. We went to a food stall and bought a lot of food. My mouth was watering at the sight. Wowie. As I was eating, Namjoon fixed my hood over my head. "Cover yourself well"

Jimin also fixed his hood over his head. Well,my brothers are quite the famous hotties in the kingdom,anyone would recognise them.

But now I need to find that auction place. I observed my surrounding carefully while eating. It should be somewhere near since we've been walking for an hour now. Maybe it is in somewhere shady? It should be. The auction is illegal as I remembered.

I need to find a way to escape from these two first. Think Hazel!

I looked at my brothers who were busy eating their food while watching the fireworks. Now is my chance! Hide within the crowd! Sorry brothers,I will be back soon. I'm so sorry again. I'm doing this for your own good.

And like that,I disappeared within the crowd. I ran to a face mast stall and bought an eye mask to cover myself before running towards a dark alley we past earlier. It should be the route.

The alley was almost empty except for few drunken men here and there. The alley brought me to another street and it only lead me to another empty alley. Walking along the alley,I saw another drunken man sitting on the ground.

This isn't working. I need to use my ultimate weapon.

Money!

I pulled out a pouch of money and threw it to the drunkard. I couldn't see his face clearly because of the darkness and the long cloak hood he was wearing.

"Tell me,where is that auction?"

The man slightly raised his head before pointing at another alley. That's all. Alright, that's enough.

"Thank you", I muttered before walking towards the alley. After walking for a while, the alley came to an end and at the end of the alley was a building. It wasn't that grand of a building but there were a lot of people going there wearing masks. I'm sure Leo must be there too.

I joined the line to enter the building. When my chance to enter came,the door guard stopped me.

"Show me your pass"

Wait what? You need a pass to enter?

What should I do?! I don't have a pass!

Maybe I should use the red card,I smirked and showed the Pendragon house seal. The man went pale seeing the seal and bowed in fear. "I -I am sorry I didn't know. You may enter"

I patted the shoulder of the door guard and whispered in his ear,"If you tell anyone, you will not see the sunshine tomorrow"

Poor dude,he was shaking badly as he nodded vigorously. I entered the building and found a seat from the back row before sitting. After few minutes, the auction began.

I had to sit here an entire hour. My brothers must be worried. Please,hang in there. I'll be back. I hope they won't go causing a ruckus.

"Now,it is the time to reveal our most important object!", the announcer said as few men brought a long wooden box and placed on the table which is on the stage. "This is a grade A weapon with so much holy powers. It's a weapon from a foreign cultivational family",..."The bidding start from 10 gold coins"

"20 gold coins"

"21 gold coins"

"22 gold coins"

Everyone started bidding. Let's wait till someone bid a higher price.

"100 gold coins"

Leo,you finally showed up huh? You managed to buy it at this price in the novel so I came prepared. I raised my number,"200 gold coins"

I smirked as I looked at Leo who was in the other side of the hall. He again raised his number plate,"250 gold coins"

"300 gold coins!",I said.

"350!"

This bastard!

I raised my number plate again,"400!"

"400 gold coins,anyone who is ready to bid more? No?",The announcer asked.

Leo must be out of coins today. He clearly didn't expect anyone to go this far since no body knows the value of that sword.

"The weapon belongs to the number 24!"

That's me bitches!! I got it! Now who is the loser?!

After taking the weapon,I immediately tried to run away but at the entrance, I saw Leo coming to me. Fuck,he must be going to persuade me to give up the sword. I'm afraid he might recognise me even with this mask. I need to run.

Without turning back,I made a run towards the alley I came from. As I was running, I heard Leo's voice. Go away bastard, I don't want to give it to you.

I heard his footsteps coming closer to me. Fuck,he runs faster than I expected. I can't get caught!!!

Suddenly, someone pulled me towards a small space between two walls. My body crashed into a rock like body. The unknown man held me by my waist and shushed me.

What the hell?! Is he going to touch me inappropriately?! I will kill this motherfuc -

"Stop struggling little one. Shhh,he is coming", the unknown man whispered into my ear. Is he trying to help me? But who is he? I slowly looked up but his face was covered in a hood. But wait,no way! Isn't he the drunkard I gave money?

But something is not right. He is clearly a drunkard, I could smell the strong scent of alcohol but I also could smell the expensive perfume scent. Did he use my money to buy a perfume?

But why is he helping me?

Leo just ran past us but he didn't see this small space between the walls.

The man smirked looking down at me. "See you later", he whispered again before vanishing.

Wait,did he just teleport himself to somewhere? Like Taehyung? A mage? Mage?! Why the hell - his accent!! It's weird!

I think....I know who he is. Drunkard,at the auction, mage, I can fix the puzzle.
