I shook Calypso awake. We were sleeping in the Big House at night cause, well, we were too lazy to move her stuff.

"Mhmmm?" Calypso groaned.

"Wake up, Sunshine!" I kissed her forehead.

"Leooo," she groaned.

"Yes?" I asked standing up.

"Lay back down," she demanded.

"Why?" I asked, laying back down.

She sat up and sat on my lap. She was straddling my waist with her hands on my chest. Calypso leaned down to kiss me. After a while I flipped us over so I was on top.

"Time for school!" I laughed as I got off of her.

"That's unfair," Calypso giggled.

"Just put some clothes on," I laughed.

"Fine!" she slipped on black skinny jeans and a red crop top. She made a face and put an orange sleeveless fishnet shirt over it.

I just put on khakis and a tan t-shirt with my tool belt.

"Leo! Dress nicely for once," Calypso complained.

"Cover yourself up more and I will," I responded icily.

Calypso stared at me before storming out.

"So much for not fighting." I grumbled.

"Leo. I want to go see Bianca now!" Calypso whined.

''Caly! I told you we could Iris Message them!" I said warily.

"I want to see  my baby, Leo!!" she yelled.

I stayed silent. She never claimed it as her baby. She always said 'our baby'.

"I might be back," I said as I got up and left the cafeteria. My friends stared after me.

"Leo! That's not what I meant!" Calypso came from behind me.

I turned around and looked at her. I didn't dare say anything.

"You know that's not what I meat," she was crying now.

I looked at her before saying "Are you sure? ARe you sure you even think of me as the father of your child?".

She didn't answer. "Exactly!" I turned back around and walked towards my locker. I entered the code and grabbed my stuff. I didn't realize I was crying until a girl came up to me and asked if I was okay.

I shook my head and sank to the ground. The girl sat next to me. She had light blonde hair with black tips. Her eyes were brown with flecks of a gorgeous green.

"I'm Rio. What's your name?" she puts her hand out.

"Leo. Leo Valdez," I shake her hand. Our hands touch for too long because I pull back after a silence.

"Why are you so upset?" Rio asked, drawing on her shoe.

"Well, I managed to get my girlfriend pregnant. And then she just admitted she didn't think of me as the father. So yeah..." I stared at the ground.

"Oh. I'm sorry." she was avoiding eye contact with me.

"What are you upset about?" I asked her quietly.

"I'm not upset." She said quickly.

"Don't lie to me," I frowned.

"I was just planning on... uh... asking you out. But you have a girlfriend and a child. So I'm not gonna get between you guys. You probably just need to work it out. I understand it would a lot of stress having a kid when you're in high school. What grade are you?"

"Uhh.. 12th..." I answered, unsure.

Rio laughed "You don't know what grade you're in?"

"I'm kinda messy upstairs," I laughed.

Then she kissed me, but she pulled away quickly.

There was a silence. My phone went off.

I pulled it out. It was a text from Caly.

'I'm sorry. I do think of you as the father it's just hard sometimes. I mean I'm 17 and my boyfriend got me pregnant. I'm not exactly ready to have these conversations yet. Can we take a little break? Not an official breakup! Couldn't go through that again. Just for about a month, so we can think things through?'

'If it would make you happy to have some alone time, sure. Would we be allowed to see other people? I get that you want some time to think things through. It seems like a good idea to me too.'

'Yeah thanks. So I guess we are on a 'break' for about a month? And I guess just don't get serious with anyone...'

'I wouldn't dare! And yes we have a month to think things through.'

I slipped my phone in my pocket and leaned against my locker.

"Who was that?" Rio asked.

"My girlfriend... or would I call her my ex? I don't know to be honest, We're on a break to think about how we are  going to handle the baby. It's going to be a month or longer." I smiled "I'm just lad it's not permanent."

"Are you allowed to see other people?" Rio asked hesitantly.

"Yeah... but nothing serious."

"Okay... wanna hang out after school?" she said, rushing her words.

I smiled at her "Gimme your phone,"

She handed me her phone and I put my number in. "See you later, Rio."

"See you."

I walked down the hall to the cafeteria grinning.

"Why so serious?" I asked the group.

"We heard you and Calypso broke up,"  Annabeth said, frowning.

"We didn't break up," I groaned.

"You're on a break," Percy said slowly.

"Exactly!" I looked at them.

"Breaks always turn into breakups, Leo. It's how people let you down easy," Piper said, looking me in the eye.

I froze.

"She promised it wouldn't be permanent." I said quietly.

"Oh! Then you're all good," Piper said, smiling.

"I hate you guys right now," I scowled.

"Leo!" I turned my head to see Rio jogging towards us. "It says your number doesn't exist," she handed me her phone.

The group stared at me and I stuck my tongue out at them. I re-entered my password and handed Rio's phone to her.

"Thanks, Leo! Coffee Ci'elo at 6?" I nodded and she smiled before walking away.

"She's one of the super popular girls, Leo." Percy said quietly. "My friend Miles started going out with her, then she tried cheating on him with me."

I stared at him and Annabeth glared at where she had gone.

My phone went off and I looked down at it.

From: Caly

'Hey Leo... I saw you with Rio today. She is one of my close friends, don't hurt her!'

"Crap!" I said loudly.

"What?" Annabeth asked.

"Calypso just told me Rio is a close friend and not to hurt her," I looked at them desperately. "I can't go out with her now that I know who she is! And if I hurt her feelings Caly will be mad at me,".

We ate the rest of lunch in silence.

I was about to have a lot of DRAMA!
