▷ Chapter 4
Previously:
She picked up the rock from a nearby seat and began hunting the sins.
"Ready or not, here I come."
-------
[Name] hummed a tune as she continued walking, searching for her prey. With each step, it echoed throughout the place bringing the other sins a sudden halt of attention. As she examined each corner she had passed through, she found no visible signs of the sins.
The h/c-nette girl saw some boxes scattered at the floor, and it gave a bright idea which caused her lips to form into a sly smirk. Reaching from her pocket, she pulled out a rock and played it with her hand, tossing it again and again.
After one final toss, she focused on a medium sized box and threw the rock after playing with it. A loud crash occured with clouds of smoke accompanying it, covering the huge room with fog.
The two girls breath hitched. They came to realize that the boxes which broke were close to their hiding spot. Divya shifted a bit to hide her presence, gathering more boxes to cover some of her body. But that one move was her fatal mistake. [Name] saw Divya's strand of blue hair, and the h/c-nette smiled insanely as she threw a rock at her location.
It was already too late for Divya to move as the rock had scraped a lot of skin from her left shoulder. She hissed in pain, clutching her shoulder as she limped away from her spot. Closing her eyes, she inhaled deeply and bore the pain. But as she opened her eyes, her mind came to a halt. The person who she wanted to avoid was in front of her, a menacing look on her face.
"Oh? I thought I hit you hard." She uttered, picking up the rock where it had fell. "Guess I was wrong."
[Name] saw that blood was spilled on the rock. She closed her eyes before giving Divya an evaluation of her performance. "Divya, your out. A lot of blood was exposed."
Wrath, who was on the opposite side of Divya's hide out, watched in annoyance. She didn't liked what happened to Divya nor [Name]'s way of deploying this game. She couldn't take it and decided to attack her. But as Wrath acted to bend her foot wanting to launch at her, [Name] completely saw her location.
'This is bad. At this moment, she will throw that rock-' Wrath's inner thoughts were cut off when [Name] disappeared and reappeared in front of her. Her eyes widened in fright, taking a step away from [Name] and defended herself.
"Eh, if it isn't wrath." [Name] said, still not taking her eye away from the purplenette's dark blue ones.
Wrath gritted her teeth in exasperation as she thought of ways on how to handle the problem in front of her. Should she fight back or should she run and find a place to hide again?
'But she could outrun me even if I hide again. What do I do?' It took a minute for Wrath to realize that [Name] took an advantage of her second thoughts, as the h/c-nette girl was already launching at her with a dagger on her hand. She took a step back and summoned her Decimation weapon.
[Name]'s eye widened slightly at the sight of Wrath's weapon. It was a large battle axe that had a red glow. Next thing she knew, Wrath had lunged towards her.
'It looks like the decimation weapon Lucifer talked about.' [Name] thought as she dodged every move Wrath made.
"Should you waste your stamina like this?" [Name] asked in the midst of their fight but that didn't stop Wrath from attacking her. Instead, she doubled her attacks more and [Name] found it annoying in a way that she would continue to dodge.
As the Sloth sin grew to understand Wrath's moves, she varied her movements and saw a quick opening to throw the rock at Wrath. It was too late when the purplenette sensed the rock coming towards her so she didn't had the chance to evade it. It had hit her left leg but that wasn't enough to knock out Wrath.
[Name] saw that she wasn't down like Divya was, and it impressed her. She picked up the rock beside Wrath. Seeing only a few blood on the rock, her eyes weren't lying to her when she saw that Wrath moved a bit to lessen the impact of the attack.
"Hmm, well done. You passed." With that, Wrath saw Sloth walking away from her, not uttering another word.
When Sloth left, Divya took it as a chance to approach Wrath and healed her leg.
"She's a tough one, Divya." Wrath growled, grabbing her left leg. Divya saw a first aid at the wall beside them. She took it and treated Wrath's leg carefully.
"I know. She reminds me of the King." Divya said, wrapping her leg with a bandage. "There you go, Minsuh."
"You do know that I don't really need this. I mean, considering our regenerative ability, I should be fine but thanks anyways."
"Sure, your welcome. And you know what, I think this is a test for us."
"A test? What'd you mean?" Wrath, now known as Minsuh, asked curiously.
"A test involving our capabilities as a general."

Looking for another prey, [Name] played around and made some boxes explode. Greed and Envy who was near, heightened their hearing senses. They glanced at each other before nodding their heads, indicating that they had a plan to avoid contact into [Name].
Their plan was too late to do already. [Name] had spotted Greed before he could leap out and executed their plan. "I found you~"
Greed's eyes widened at the sight [Name] and he attempted to summon his weapon. "Decimation ari-"
Before he could fully cite his incantation, he was interrupted by [Name] throwing a rock at him roughly, enough for him to hit the wall with a big impact.
He coughed, and slowly opened his eyes to see blood on his suit. He felt the blood was trailing down from his mouth down to his jaw and finally dropping to the tips of his suit. Greed chuckled a bit and wiped it off his mouth.
The fog that was caused by the incident earlier had been slowly lifted, and [Name] was now standing in front of Greed.
She kneeled, and took the rock from Greed's side. "Hmm," seeing that there was just small amount of blood in the rock, she smiled a little, thinking that the small boy had done something to lessen the inpact of the attack.
"Congratulations, you survive~"
Just as she finished her sentence, her smile disappeared and she darted her eyes to her right side. [Name] pulled out a rock and threw it without hesitation, leaving Envy, who has behind the box, no chance of dodging the attack. But the guy managed to lessen it by sacrificing his left leg instead of the rock damaging his body.
She strode her way towards Envy who was laying across the floor, blood on his arm as well as the rock beside him. She picked it up, and gave him a small smile like she did with Greed before uttering her words of declaration. "You survive as well."
Then, in a blink of an eye, [Name] was gone. Probably off to find the two remaining sins.

[Name] was already in the area were the two sins hid. She was getting close to Nine's hiding spot but stopped midway when she heard an empty bottle fall. She squinted her eye, knowing it was done on purpose to distract her. Then she felt someone behind her with a menacing aura. She swiftly turned around and materialized a katana to block the person's attack with his sword.
"Hmph," [Name] scoffed, "so it was you, Lust."
His eyes widened, moving back as he saw the disturbing glint in [Name]'s eye as she said the sin engrave to him. "Tch." He muttered before doing a defensive stance.
"Why did you interfere?" [Name] asked, her eyes not leaving Lust's golden hues.
Lust didn't answer which irritated [Name] a bit, then she let it off with a small chuckle. "Well, seeing you here means you want to challenge me right?"
Again, the white haired guy didn't reply making a vein pop out of [Name]'s forehead. 'Why isn't he answering?!' She internally asked to herself.
"Ugh," [Name] groaned, "let's just get this over with."
In an instant, [Name] moved so fast that Lust's eyes couldn't keep up with the speed. He drew up his sword, clashing with the h/c-nette's katana. Feeling the pressure of her katana, he swung his sword to the right and tried to jab [Name] but she dodge it with ease.
She swung her sword at him but again it clashed with his. For a while, it seemed like their fight would never end because their swords just kept clashing with each other, and they didn't even have cuts or minor injuries. [Name] lunged at him, swinging her katana to cut him but failed anyway. At one last attack, [Name] and Lust's sword clashed with each other again but this time [Name] picked up her pace.
"It's over, Lust." She whispered before giving him a menacing look, kicking him in the stomach harshly that it sent him flying towards the wall.
Nine, who was watching from his spot, froze in horror as he saw Lust being fired to the wall. How cruel this girl was, as Nine thought. It reminded him of how she and the king was on a different level.
Lust grunted, trying to move his body to stand up but it failed to follow his instruction. He panted due to his fight earlier and the kick he received from [Name]. Then, he felt something was coming towards him.
As the person neared, he saw it was [Name] with her katana pointing towards him. His eyes widened, and desperately tried to move away to dodge her attack, but his tired body didn't listen to him. He had no choice but to close his eyes, waiting for the attack.
As he waited, he felt no sword piercing towards his body, or the other parts of his body. He opened his eyes, and saw that the sword was a centimeter away from his left cheek. But he moved a bit making the sword scratch his face, blood dripping down his chin.
[Name] was in front of him with her head down, but he could see that she was breathing quickly, probably the same reason as he had. She lifted her head, and looked at him with a big smile on her face making the silver head dumbfounded.
"Hehe, that was fun!" She exclaimed, clapping her hands together.
"Wha.. What are you.." Lust spoke for the first time, and [Name]'s eyes sparkled for she had finally made him speak. Though, that was not she expected him to say.
"Um, a demi-human..?" [Name] spoke confusedly. Well, that was kind of true since she didn't really know what to say because they, the same as her, are somehow between the beings of a human, a demon, or a soul. "Anyways, enough with that."
"Why didn't you kill me?"
[Name] blinked at his question, but then she understood it and sighed. 'So, that's what he thought.'
"Well, because I can't kill you and I won't. You do know that you're an important person here, right?" [Name], making Lust shut his mouth because he didn't know what else to say after that. "Besides, aren't we here to play 'paint the rock'?"
'Right..' Lust thought to himself.
"Oh, that's right! I forgot about a certain someone." [Name] pulled out the rock in her pocket before turning around, aiming the rock towards where Nine hid. Then, it landed there, a cloud of dust floating around. Not a moment after, Nine showed up with blood on his hands and on his head.
"Hoho, you didn't think I would spare you no?" [Name] asked, walking towards him to pick up the rock she threw. Nine didn't reply but instead, he glared at her.
Upon seeing the heterochromatic guy glare at her, she sighed and scratched the back of her neck. "My, my. I might as well take back your qualification rock." [Name] waved the rock that she threw at him back and forth, to let Nine see that he survived the game.
Now that the game has ended, [Name] dematerialized the katana she used in the fight earlier. Then, she offered a hand to help Nine stand up, but the guy hesitantly took it.
"So, let's head back? The others are waiting for the results."
'Results..?' Nine thought, as he processed the sentence that came out of [Name]'s lips. Then, he asked, "what do you mean 'results'?"
[Name] smiled slyly at how confused Nine was. She turned to him and saying, "oh, didn't you know? This game was a qualification test."
