"No you guys cannot 'silence' him" you pointed out while shooting them all a glare and the 7 men you had spent every waking day with, shot you an equally deadly and frustrated look.

"Why not" Yoongi asked in apathetic seriousness and you pinched his arm, making him glower at you.

"Because not only do you guys have an image to maintain, you also arent the Sins anymore....so lighten the fuck up. You're scaring the new recruits." You muttered and Yoongi pursed his lips unhappily.

Your senses tingled and you immediately turned around only to see Tae and Chim jump in surprise. "AND YOU TWO!" You bellowed.

They shot you sweet smiles. "Yes Y/N?" Chim asked sweetly and you scowled.

"Don't you 'Yes Y/N' me! I know you two were mocking me behind my back!"

The two whistled innocently and you were about to rip them a new one until you suddenly heard Kook laugh at something Jin was telling him which made your eyes soften.

"Pfft. Someone's whipped..." Tae muttered under his breath and you increased your killing intent, which as a result made him choke on air.

All of a sudden you felt someone clap his hands on your shoulder and you looked up to see Hobi laughing nervously so you furrowed your brows.

He bent down. "...you're scaring them more than Yoongi did!" He whispered with a hiss and you froze.

With doe-like eyes, you slowly looked around you only to see everyone watching with various looks of horror.

You gulped and forced a laugh -an extremely awkward one at that. And you then tried to salvage what you could.

You patted both Chim and Tae on the head and pulled up a bright smile. "...but even I can take a joke every now and then right? Hahaha!" You chirped up brightly and instantly the other recruits smiled while nodding and then walked off.

You slouched forward and released your smile as you let out a weary sigh.

"Looks like we're not the only ones having a hard time adjusting..." Joon muttered with a smirk and you shot him a weak glare while flipping him off.

"Well at least I don't get a stupid ass title like the 'Seven Heavenly Virtues'...you dipshits are everything but heavenly" you retorted back petulantly and then preened at the heated glares shot your way.

Kook smiled knowingly as he approached you and then elbowed you softly in the side of your stomach. "...no, you just get the title of Redemption right?" He teased and you groaned.

"I didn't ask for that!" You feebly argued but nobody was listening anymore.

"I'm sorry, run that by me again? I don't think I heard you right..." You mumbled dubiously while cleaning out your ear but Death shook his head.

"No. You heard me perfectly fine. The Seven Heavenly Virtues" he reiterated.

Silence encompassed the room

And then your unrestrained laughter broke it. "W-wait. You're telling me that you want the guys to go from literally wrecking havoc and taking lives...to saving them and being all holier than thou?" You asked incredulously.

You couldn't be the only one who saw the problem with that.

"...your point?" Death asked dryly, making your jaw drop.

You pointed your fingers at him. "First of all, why would any of them listen to you?" You asked acidly and Death cocked one of his brow in a mocking manner.

"...I'm giving them the option to go from ruining people's lives to starting anew with another chance -just like they wanted mind you, and you're asking me why they wouldn't listen to me?" He pointed out obviously and your mouth snapped shut.

Any form of retort instantly died out at his sensible words.

"Well that is true..." you reluctantly thought.

"...and all 7 of them are dead so they're under my domain and have no choice." he finished curtly and you sweatdropped.

"There we go...that's more like the callous man I've grown to understand...." you thought while inwardly rolling your eyes.

But you frowned. Things wouldn't go as simply as he liked and you knew that they would all be angry at the deceit and lies.

How was Death going to get around that?

You cleared your throat. "The Seven of them aren't the easiest people to handle...so the change from them won't be smooth you know?..." you pointed out seriously.

Death shot you a small smile.

"Good thing you'll be there then." He responded and you snorted amusedly.

"That's funny, but last I remembered, it was the Seven Heavenly Virtues, not Eight" you pointed out smartly with a triumphant look and yet strangely enough Death remained unfazed.

"Who said you were a Heavenly Virtue?" He asked rhetorically.

Your eyes flashed in suspicion.

Tae stood silently as his hands roamed over the area he had been stabbed in -a jagged pale scar remained as a reminder of what he had almost lost. He peered over at the other members he was familiar with until his eyes landed on Envy, who was staring off despondently.

"H-how are you alive?..." Chim trailed off incredulously, cutting Tae off his thoughts and he turned to his partn- no, friend.

"I honestly don't know..." Tae answered back slowly but then a small grin appeared on his face.

"...but I guess you owe me one for the rest of your life" he joked and Chim shoved him good heartedly.

Namjoon cleared his throat and approached Jungkook. "Env- Jungkook..." he started off solemnly and the young man reluctantly faced Joon.

This caught the attention of the 6 others who watched attentively.

"...Y/N, is she?..." he trailed off with a frown and at the sound of your name, Kook's mask chipped.

His eyes flashed with unspeakable pain and his body shook slightly at the overwhelming emotions he felt.

He only shook his head and Namjoon shut his eyes.

The others felt their hearts drop.

All Seven had been reunited but it meant nothing without the woman who made it all possible...

Hobi bit his lips. "...I told you she shouldn't have come" he whispered bitterly.

For once nobody disagreed.

Jin had joined Jungkook where he was sitting at and the two were now engaged in a hushed conversation.

Namjoon swallowed painfully. He knew that Jin was trying to console the youngest of the Sins but if they were all feeling the brunt of what your death could do to them...

...how much more for Jungkook?

Yoongi breathed in deeply and the sound made everyone look his way. "...there's also the problem that we have no idea where we are nor what he's going to do to us now..." he trailed off but they all saw his fist clenched tightly -a sign that not even he remained unaffected by the news of your demise.

Everyone shuddered at the foreboding feeling they felt...

You mind whirled with endless thoughts.

What did Death mean then?

"...I'll give you two options Y/N, you could pass on like any other soul and go through the cycle of being reborn, but remember, that means you will never see any of the Seven again..." he started and your heart leapt painfully at his first option.

"To never see them..." you thought in conflict but then you hardened your will as you shot Death an unwavering look. "Or?..." you asked softly and he continued.

"...or you can choose to take the role of Redemption and help the Virtues adjust to their new positions and duties...but that means your soul will never rest. For eternity. It may seem like a blessing now but it's not as easy as it sounds" He finished gravely and your eyes widened in surprise.

He was giving you a chance to stay with the others...

"So what is it going to be?" He prodded and you took a deep breath.

"I..."

The Seven men tensed perceptibly when they felt the presence of another enter the room they were in.

"You?!..." Kook shouted venomously as he scrambled onto his feet. He visibly trembled in his barely restrained anger and both Tae and Chim placed their hands softly on his shoulders so that he wouldn't do anything he'd regret.

All of them regarded the man suspiciously until another figure appeared from behind him.

"Y-Y/N?..." Kook murmured in disbelief and the others did a double take as well.

What was going on?

Death opened his mouth while shooting you a brief glance. "It's about time I told you all the truth..."

And for the second time that night, Death had retold his past.

"Fuck you! You ruined everything for us and you expect us to obediently go along with all this?" Yoongi growled and the others nodded in agreement.

Death remained impassive but nodded. "Yes, I do" he simply responded and that got Yoongi madder.

He snarled but then Hobi and Namjoon stepped in front of him. "What are you doing?! Move!" He demanded but neither acquiesced.

"...Yoongi wait, think this over for a second.." Hobi muttered and Yoongi shot him an incredulous look. "Don't tell me you're seriously considering this?" He asked and Jin stepped forward.

"I agree with Yoongi...there's got to be a catch to all this..." he murmured suspiciously but Namjoon stood his ground. "...but what other choice do we have? Our life hasn't been our own for centuries and if we had to be doing something then wouldn't this be better?" He pointed out.

Tae yawned boredly. "I don't know about you guys but I have no problem with it" he said casually with a shrug and Yoongi scowled at him.

"Don't act so care-freely about this Tae" he muttered but Tae raised his brow.

"There is a reason why both Y/N and I are still standing here right now with you all so I'll say it again, I have no problems with it" he said, this time his expression hard and Yoongi staggered at the intensity of his stare.

His stubbornness had faltered and he began to think over everything properly.

He didn't want to surrender but at the same time the others were right...they had all worked to break out of the hell they were in and now that a better opportunity was right in front of him, he would be stupid to let that go.

But there was a more important matter at hand so he turned to the man he despised. "...how much work would I have to do?" He asked slowly and Death smiled.

"Less than what you do now" he lied without thinking twice and Yoongi nodded slowly.

He stepped down after that.

Namjoon and Jin were having a heated conversation and Chim furrowed his brows. "So everything we've done...our Sins...and our powers...what will happen to it all?" He questioned and Death nodded, as if he had been waiting for someone to ask.

"Everything will be reconsidered. He promised me after all and I did prove him wrong. The way we take lives will change and every deceased human will get a fair evaluation." He explained and even you were listening attentively to that.

"...as for your powers. The flames are unfortunately something I cannot easily take away anymore but I can change them to fit your new titles appropriately. You're free to keep your quirks but I can also easily take them back if you wish" he finished and the Seven thought it over for a moment.

Kook frowned and you caught his gaze. "...and what about Y/N?" He asked hesitantly.

You saw the 6 others glance at you expectantly. They were curious as well.

Death shot you a pointed look and you sighed sadly, making Kook's heart drop once again.

So this really was the end for the two of you...

You rolled your eyes playfully. "...sorry but you guys aren't so fortunate as to be getting rid of me just yet..." You mumbled with a cheeky smile and Kook's lips trembled as he took tentative steps your way.

"Y/N?..." he trailed off hopefully and you opened your arms widely while nodding.

"...yeah" you answered him back softly.

You heard the others cheer from behind and you swore you saw Yoongi grinning.

Your eyes must have been playing tricks on you.

You sighed wistfully when your thoughts travelled back to that fated day.

It had felt like such a long time ago.

In the end, you couldn't have been happier with the way things played out though and despite how differently it could have gone, you wouldn't have changed a thing.

It made everything you worked for all the more worthwhile.

"Tch...Death you son of a bitch...you told me this was going to be less work..." Yoongi mumbled with growl but you saw the smile that played secretly in his lips.

You shook your head amusedly. They all acted annoyed by the changes that had come but you could see the little differences in them.

How they laughed more freely...

How they didn't hide as much of their emotions as they did before...

How relaxed they had become around everyone...

How open and playful they were to each other...

How their auras drew others to them naturally like children to sweets...

And overall, just how much happier they were.

That isn't to say that they had changed in terms of personality however, because they were still as crude and foul mouthed as the day you had first met them -it would be hypocritical to judge them though since most of that came from you...

You broke out of your musing and your mouth dropped slightly in surprise when you saw Chim dancing for some of the other recruits and your eyes softened.

That was the first time you saw it in person....

Your eyes trailed onto the man who had changed your life the moment he appeared that day to kill you.

You watched as he held Tae in a chokehold while animatedly waving his arms at the teasing he was receiving by the others.

You smiled softly. Seeing Jungkook the way he is now was definitely worth dying for.

As if he felt your presence, Kook turned slightly and locked his eyes onto yours.

A million feelings transpired between you two and not one was missed.

Suddenly he broke out into a boyish grin and gestured you over with one hand.

You shook your head wryly but your feet were already moving.

You knew who you were and where you belonged now.
