C. 30.

The piercing scream that echoed off the concrete walls of the small room was music to Taehyung's ears.

His green eyes scanned over the bloodied man before him, a mocking smile growing on his features as he tilted his head playfully.

"Let me make one thing clear here," Taehyung started smoothly, his hands adjusting the diamond cufflinks on his sleeve. "I don't like wasting my time, so I'm going to ask you the question again...this time, you will tell me the truth...or I'll allow my men to skin you alive."

The dark-haired man in the chair shivered in fear, the florescent light of the room causing his swollen eyes to water.

"I-I already told you." He stuttered out weakly. "They didn't tell me where they were going, only that they needed a car to-"

Another scream of pain escaped the man as one of Taehyung's men gripped one of his finger nails with a small pair of pliers, pulling until the small nail was disconnected from his hand.

Taehyung clicked his tongue in disappointment, shaking his head as he let out a sad sigh.

"See, you keep lying to me." He hummed. "I know that those two have been in business with you before. You're basically their little groupie. You know where they're hiding and you're going to tell me."

The dark-haired man smiled evilly, placing his bloodied teeth on display.

"I will never talk." He spat.

Taehyung smiled.

"You know," He purred. "You only have so many fingernails....Pretty soon we're gonna have to start taking off other things....like your fingers...or maybe even your tiny dick."

His eyes widened slightly.

Taehyung raised an eyebrow in amusement, adjusting his suit coat.

"Because I am a man of mercy, I'll give you one more chance."

The dark-haired stranger watched with horror as one of Taehyung's men handed him the pair of pliers. Taehyung toyed with it for a few moments before glancing back to him, a smile etched onto his face.

"Where are they?"

"Be careful Louis."

You frowned deeply as the sound of Jungkook's stern voice filled your ears, your e/c eyes rolling in your skull as you glanced in his direction.

Louis currently clung onto your form like a koala, his legs wrapped around your waist while his arms were wrapped around your neck, loud giggles escaping his lips as you playfully tickled his sides.

"He's fine, Jungkook." You stated. "I won't drop him."

The sound of a chuckle caught your attention, causing your gaze to fall onto Jimin, who currently sat in the corner, thick rimmed glasses resting on the bridge of his nose as he looked up at you from his laptop.

"I don't think it's the kid he's worried about." He laughed.

You tilted your head in confusion, looking back at Jungkook.

The silver-haired man rubbed his neck nervously.

"I just don't want him to hurt you by accident." He mumbled quietly.

You shook your head, a quiet chuckle moving past your lips as you sent a playful poke to the five year old's tummy, causing him to laugh.

"I'll be fine." You said. "I'm not some fragile doll now...You don't have to worry."

Jungkook looked away from you, only nodding curtly in advance.

"Don't be too hard on the kid, darling." Jimin interjected, rubbing his eyes under his glasses. "He has a right to be worried....after all, it won't be too long until the virus starts to take it's toll on your body..."

You furrowed your brows, hands petting Louis' chestnut locks as he straightened up, big brown eyes staring at you with confusion.

"Are you sick, babygirl?" He muttered, placing his small hand on your forehead. "Did you catch a cold?"

You couldn't help but smile at the toddler's affection, head shaking as you placing your hand over his.

"No." You lied. "I'm not sick. Your bubba and Chim are just being a little silly."

Louis frowned, sticking out his bottom lip as he turned to face his older brother.

"You shouldn't play tricks like that." He scolded. "If you play mean tricks, you'll get yourself into a predikment."

Jungkook smiled, obviously trying to cover up his real emotions.

"Predicament." He corrected. "And I'm sorry. No more mean tricks, Louie."

The chestnut haired boy narrowed his eyes.

"Promise?"

The silver haired man smiled.

"I promise."

"Good." Louis huffed, glancing at you. "I need to potty."

You struggled to cover up your laugh at his embarrassed expression, eyebrows jumped as you nodded your head, slowly putting him down onto the wooden floor of Namjoon's home.

"Do you need any help?" Jungkook called.

Louis turned red as he glanced at you.

"No!" He yelled. "I'm a big boy!"

You released a loud laugh as the five year old slammed the bathroom door shut, cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

"I guess you've taught him well, Jeon." Jimin hummed, standing to his feet and stretching his arms. "He knows how to potty all by himself."

Jungkook rolled his eyes as Jimin laughed.

"Shut up, Park."

You frowned as you watched Jimin walk past the two of you in the direction of the kitchen, his hands running through his raven locks.

Something inside of you forced your feet to move in his direction, a lingering question resting in the back of your mind as you followed after him.

Once in the kitchen, you watched as Jimin poured himself a cup of coffee, taking a long sip out of the mug before turning to face you.

"What do you want to know?" He sighed out.

You tilted your head.

"I-"

He stared at you, raising an eyebrow before speaking.

"You have questions about the virus, right?" He asked. "You want to know how much longer you'll be able to act like everything is okay...especially around Jeon's brother."

You sighed heavily, gaze lowering to the ground as you slowly nodded.

"What's going to happen?" You swallowed. "I mean...I know I'm going to die...But I guess I just need to know what happens before I kick the bucket."

The raven-haired man frowned at your choice of words, his dark eyes scanning over your features for a few brief moments.

"It will start with migraines." He sighed, moving his gaze to the cup of coffee in his hands. "Then, you'll get dizzy spells...eventually your blood pressure will begin to drop at random times and you'll pass out...by the fourth day..you'll be too weak to even walk....Then..."

You bit your lip as he trailed off, a hand running through your hair as your mind registered the new information.

"How long until I start getting the migraines?" You asked.

Jimin's eyes softened on your form.

"I don't know." He breathed honestly. "It's different for everyone-"

"But it will happen, right?"

He sighed, nodding slowly.

"Yes."

You didn't know what to think at that moment.

You hadn't had time to think about what this drug was really going to do to you...sure, you had thought about dying...you knew that if it saved millions of people, you were willing to do it....but you had never thought of what was going to happen before you passed.

You would be weak, vulnerable....and more than likely all alone.

You would never see your family or Ruthie again. You would never be able to smell the summer air or feeling a snowflake melt on the tip of your nose...Your family wouldn't even know where you had gone...they wouldn't know what happened to you.

The only people who would really know would be a group of men you had only just met a day ago...a group of men who were only intent on kidnapping you and forcing you away from your home...

You would never let it show....but you were scared.

You were genuinely terrified. Knowing that you would be so weak and vulnerable...it was enough to make you shiver.

Jimin took a step closer to you, his hands gently resting on your shoulders as his dark eyes bore into yours.

"We will find a way to stop this." He muttered. "Yoongi and the others are out there right now trying to track them down....we'll find them and when we do...we'll make all of this go away."

You pulled away from his grip, refusing to allow him the satisfaction of seeing you so upset.

"When the migraines start, Jungkook needs to send Louis home..." You stated. "I don't want him to have to see me get sick. He's too young to be around death."

The raven-haired man nodded curtly in understanding, hands placing his coffee mug onto the counter before he took another step closer to you.

You sniffed, forcing yourself not to break down at the thought of yourself being too weak to stand.

"It would probably be best if Yoongi left too." You stated softly, eyes falling to the ground. "He's a bit over protective and I don't want him fussing over m-"

Your words were cut off as two strong arms wrapped around you, pulling you forward into a firm chest and warm embrace.

Your eyes widened as you opened your mouth to protest, body already beginning to move backwards.

Jimin pulled you even closer, his chin resting on top of your head as he squeezed his eyes shut.

"A few more days." He mumbled. "Just give me a few more days

Before you start giving up."
