C. 27.

"Are you insane?!"

You flinched at the words that came from the man in front of you, body jerking away from him instantly as he glared down at your small form.

Yoongi sighed from beside you, eyes trained on the purple haired man.

"This is the best option we have at the moment." He reasoned.

Jin gawked at the assassin, eyes wide with numerous emotions.

"Finding those two will be difficult enough." He stated. "Getting them to make a cure will be impossible."

Taehyung hummed from the other side of the table, popping a small bite of food into his mouth before speaking.

"For once, I agree with my idiot brother." He deadpanned with a full mouth. "Minhyuk and Baekhyun are as good as gone. They've probably already left the city."

Jimin frowned at the blond's unmannerly behavior, hands shoving a napkin in his direction.

"We have four days." He started in. "Those two have no men and no money. The only thing they have going for them is their ability to blend into the crowds. Between the seven of us, we should have enough resources to find them before they make it out of the city."

"And what happens if we don't?" Jungkook asked, glancing to his brother's sleeping form on the couch. "What happens if they get away?"

You took a deep breath, glancing over the blue-haired man beside of you.

"One of you will have to kill me," You said. "And burn my body before the virus can become airborne."

Jungkook's eyes widened at your solution, head shaking instantly.

"No way." He said. "There's no way we are just going to kill you."

You huffed, crossing your arms.

"You'll have to. If you don't the virus will spread to others."

"She's right." Jimin gritted. "I know for a fact that once it's airborne, there's no way to stop it."

Namjoon raised a brow, suddenly becoming interested in the conversation that was playing out before him.

"Didn't you work on this?" Seokjin chimed. "Why don't you just create a cure."

"Don't be stupid." Taehyung spat. "Jimin was only involved in the design process. That doesn't mean he knows how to reverse the effects."

Seokjin frowned at his brother's words, eyes shifting over to your figure.

"I have to agree with Y/n." Hoseok stated softly. "I know that none of us want to see her dead, but we have to be able to put facts over feelings..."

"So you're saying you'd be okay with killing her?"Jin snapped.

The red-head sighed heavily, shaking his head.

"Of course not." He breathed. "I'm only saying that we have to be prepared if this thing goes south."

"Things have already gone south, Hoseok!" Jungkook yelled. "She is literally a walking sickness!"

Seokjin crossed his arms.

"I don't think you have any room to complain." He deadpanned. "You're the reason we're in the predicament in the first place."

Jungkook clenched his jaw, his eyes widening slightly.

"What did you say?" He growled lowly.

The purple-haired male didn't back down, his gaze only hardening on the younger man.

"They wanted your brother!" He roared. "If you had just left Y/n alone, instead of trying to take her from me, none of this would be happening!"

You brows furrowed at his words, head shaking instinctively.

"I-"

"How was I supposed to know that those maniacs were after Louis!?" Jungkook countered. "If I had known they wanted to hurt him, don't you think I would have tracked them down and ripped their throats out?!"

"I don't know." Jin taunted. "Honestly, this whole thing seems like a set up. You probably had her kidnapped just so you could fake her death and keep her all to yourself."

"Do you even hear how ridiculous you sound?" Taehyung sighed. "Jungkook wouldn't do anything to hurt her or Louis and you know that. Besides, how could he have possibly known that Y/n was going to inject herself with the virus. None of that adds up."

"Taehyung is right." Yoongi interjected. "If Jungkook had done it, he wouldn't have asked me for help and he certainly wouldn't have agreed to working with you morons."

The men before you fell silent, grumbling to themselves in slight annoyance.

"Here's how I see it,"

Your body froze when Namjoon spoke up, a sudden feeling of unease and discomfort overcoming you as you watched him slowly raise from his chair and continue to speak.

You hadn't talked with "The King of The Underground" yet, and you hoped to god that you never had to. He was terrifying and malicious. The very thought of being alone with him in a room had your heart pounding in anxiety.

"We're all here for a common purpose." He continued, eyes locking with yours. "Her."

The men at the table nodded in agreement.

"If we can't save her, then what's the point of us being here?" Namjoon asked. "We are the most powerful men on the planet. If we can't find two penniless scientists, then we don't really deserve that title, do we?"

"Get to the point." Yoongi gritted, his hand grabbing yours under the table, squeezing it in a protective manner.

The dirty blond raised a brow.

"My point is this:" He began slowly. "Bickering and arguing isn't going to get us anywhere. While you are sitting here acting like children, Minhyuk and Baekhyun are getting closer and closer to leaving the city."

You nodded slowly.

"He's right." You stated, gaining everyone's attention. "There is no reason to argue about this. There are only two outcomes of this. We find a cure, or I die. That's it."

Jungkook clenched his jaw.

"There has to be some other way to get a cure." He ground out. "A way that isn't so risky."

Jimin rubbed his temples.

"I may still have some of the formula for the original virus...I can look into creating a cure with that."

"I like that idea better." Seokjin stated.

"This isn't a sure thing," Jimin continued. "I only have the original formula, so if I do somehow manage to create a cure, the chances of it working are slim to none."

Yoongi ran a hand through his hair.

"So we keep looking." he said. "We'll keep looking for Minhyuk and Baekhyun while Jimin tries to create a cure of some kind. That way we'll, at least, have something to fall back on if..."

His words slowly trailed off as he swallowed harshly, still not quite ready to say your fate out loud.

Your gaze softened on the blue-haired man, giving his hand a small squeeze of reassurance.

You hated seeing him like this. And you knew he hated feeling powerless in this situation. He cared for you and he only wanted to help you and protect you...but he couldn't and that was killing him.

"I know that this is going to be difficult for everyone," You sighed out, catching their gaze. "But, I have come to terms with this. Yoongi and I have talked it through and-"

"Wait." Jimin interrupted, his brows furrowing as he looked between the two of you. "You two have already discussed this, without us?"

You frowned in confusion, tilting your head.

"We-"

"I thought we were supposed to make this decision as a group." The raven-haired man spat. "But it seems as though you've already made up your minds."

"So?" You asked, tone defensive. "We all came to the same conclusion anyway. What's the big deal?"

"We agreed to discuss things as a group." Jungkook growled, eyes trained on Yoongi. "You should not have made this decision without us."

"Well, I did." Yoongi retorted. "So get over it."

Taehyung raised his brow.

"You know, this isn't a very good way to start a partnership." He said. "We've only been working together for three days and you're already going behind our backs."

Yoongi glared at the blond, shooting him daggers.

"I don't need to tell you every time I decide on something."

"You had no right to settle on this!" Seokjin roared, hand slamming on the table as he rose to his feet. "We agreed to vote on any decisions made about Y/n! That was the arrangement!"

Your eyebrows shot up at those last words, frustration beginning to building inside of you as the men continued to yell at one another.

Now you knew why they were upset...they each wanted a say in what happened to you.

Yeah right.

"You can't keep her to yourself, Min!" Jimin stated. "We share her-"

The sound of your hands slamming on the table caused a heavy silence to fall over the room.

The men's eyes widened slightly as you slowly raised to your feet, eyes hard on each and every one of them as you looked around the table.

You were not going to be treated like some kind of object or a child. You were your own person and they were about to learn that the hard way.

"Listen to me." You started lowly. "Whatever "arrangement" was made is now invalid. There is no voting system and there is no taking turns. I will make my own decisions and I will not allow you to treat me like some kind of fragile being. You will treat me with decency or I will walk out that door and handle this on my own."

Jimin clenched his jaw at your words, eyes falling to the table in front of him as you continued.

"I don't owe any of you anything." You spat. "I do not have to tell you when I leave the house. I do not have to explain my actions to you and I certainly do not have to get your opinion on everything in my life. You aren't my friends and you aren't my saviors. I am more than capable of taking care of myself. In case you have forgotten, I was the one who got Louis and I out of danger. Me not you.So if you think that I am just going to sit here and be objectified, you're wrong."

You took a deep breath glancing at Yoongi for a brief moment.

"I don't trust any of you." You stated. "Jin kidnapped me, Jungkook lied to me and the rest of you have been stalking me since that night at Wings. Yoongi is the only person in this room I can stand to talk to, so if I wish to confide in him, then I will and you'll just have to get over it. If you can't do that, then feel free to leave."

With those last words, you moved away from the table, walking back towards Yoongi's bedroom and closing the door shut behind you.

A deep hum sounded from Namjoon, catching the other's attention.

He eyed the door you had just walked through, a smirk playing on his features as he spoke in a breathy tone.

"What a woman."

A/N,

HOW DID THIS BOOK ALREADY HIT 100K!?!? I'M SCREAMING!!!!

Thank you so so so much! I honestly didn't even expect this to hit 50k within the year, but you guys always surprise em and I love it. Thank you so much.

Also, I have created an account on Patreon. If you're like me, then you know what it's like to be a broke student with no job other than Wattpad writing and essays, so don't think I expect people to give me money, cause I understand that broke life.

Basically, this app allows anyone who wants to contribute to me or donate or whatever(still not entirely sure that it works, but eh) I want to point out that i do NOT ask any money from anyone. This is only for those of you who want to contribute.

I never expected to get paid for my writing and the fact that someone actually wants to pay me is still mind-boggling. My account is linked in my bio.

I love you guys and hope you enjoyed this chapter!
