Marklin was making breakfast quietly. Amy was the first to wake up, always the morning person.

"Good morning!" She chirped to him as she sat at the table. Marklin grunted, and kept at his cooking, well more like burning of eggs, english muffins, and meat. Amy smiled as she looked out the window, happily enjoying the nice day.

Sonic and Shadow both walked downstairs, groaning. Sonic was the first to speak a coherent sentence as they sat at the table. "Uncle Chuck woke us uuuuuuuuuuuuuuup."

"Good for you." Marklin snorted.

"If he woke you up, then where is he?" Amy questioned.

"He went back to bed." Shadow grumbled tiredly.

"He must really be a genus." Marklin growled, he slapped down a plate in front of Amy, a greasy, almost burnt, sandwich of fried eggs, meat, and an english muffin. Amy jumped at the sudden noise, but that did not deteriorate the hyper girl's mood.

"Why did he even do that?" Shadow asked his boyfriend, ignoring the man and his bad hangover. Sonic simply shrugged, not really knowing.

"Probably hates the black one now." Marklin sneered.

Shadow's mood only worsened; he groaned as his head met the table.

"What did you expect, pissing off a mom." Marklin snapped, he slapped down two more plates.

Shadow said nothing, not even reacting to the plate. Sonic looked to Shadow sympathetically. "He can't hate you forever."

"Anything can be infinite when stretched thin enough." Chuck said, sitting at the table. Shadow tensed up, not saying a word. He sat up and looked down to his lap, fiddling nervously with his fingers. Sonic frowned. Marklin slapped down a plate for the man, Chuck jumped but quickly got to his sandwich. The three teens reluctantly ate theirs as well.

Jasper arrived, and Marklin quickly, slapped a cup of coffee down on the table in front of him. Jasper quietly started to drink his coffee. Shadow kept his eyes on his sandwich, not wanting to do something to make the elder hedgehog-turned-human dislike him even more.

"So how was everyone's sleep?" Jasper asked, Marklin slapped down a sandwich in front of Jasper.

"I slept wonderfully, thanks for asking." Amy replied cheerfully.

"We slept well." Sonic replied for both him and Shadow, knowing the other wasn't going to speak.

"Good for you-" There was a screaming as multiple children piled into the kitchen. Marklin and Jasper, recognizing one of the children, just backed off of this pile completely. Chuck went to intervene but Marklin and Jasper shook their head to tell him no. The teens jumped at the sudden mass of children, but otherwise didn't do anything about it. There was a sudden cry and scream.

"Kat! Do not bite ANYONE!?" Marklin yelled, one kid simply sat and looked up at him. Two of the children were fussing over an arm that was starting to bleed. Marklin rolled his eyes, took a pan off the burner, and walked over to the child bleeding. "Come on, Odyssey, let's get you patched up." Marklin said, the child shied away from him. Marklin sighed. "TIMOTHY!" Marklin yelled, Timothy came out of the cabinet.

"What- Odyssey!" Timothy panicked and ran to his childs side. "Oddy, you have to let Uncle Marklin look at your arm he can help you." Timothy told gently.

"His freak kid BIT ME!" Odyssey shot, Timmy patted her hair.

"Kat is just different, uncle Marklin just wants to help you, it's ok."

The teens looked at the scene, blinking, confused. Marklin quickly pulled off Odyssey to go fix their arm. Timmy looked at Kat, the moved off to go help with his child. Data-Lore sat on the floor, looking up at the teens.

"Hello there!" Amy smiled to the young one.

"Hi...." Data-lore said quietly, his voice nearly a squeak.

"How are you?" She asked cheerfully.

"Ok." Data-Lore mumbled.

"I'm Amy Rose; what's your name?"

"Data-Lore Tesla Heisenberg."

Amy blinked, the reference lost on her. "That's... nice. So, do you have any interests?"

"Trains." Data-Lore perked up, and started to buzz in excitement.

Seeing the child actually shaking horribly, Amy became nervous. "Oh, uh, that's cool...."

"Yeah aren't trains cool they are so cool I love trains do want to know about trains, did you know that the first train to kill some one was the rocket, did you know that the panama railway was delayed by 6 month because they stopped supplying opium to the chinese and they all killed themselves, did you-"

"Data, you're scaring the happy one." Timothy told, Data stopped and looked at their dad, and smiled, Timmy picked him up, happy he had shut up before his worst fact.

Amy looked nervously to Timothy. Meanwhile Sonic had fallen asleep and face planted into his greasy sandwich. Shadow looked to him tiredly and shook him awake. Sonic let out some garbled sentence about 'knights and Merlina.'

"Welp, I'm going back to sleep, morning sonny boy." Chuck went back to his room. Sonic groaned, leaning to Shadow.

"You gotta get him to like ya...."

"My parents still hate Marklin, well my mom still hates Marklin." Jasper said as he drank his coffee. Sonic and Shadow looked to him with tired frowns. "Then again Marklin promised not to reveal he was Jewish and look were we are now." Jasper added, Marklin walked back in with Timothy's older child.

"What did I do now?" Marklin asked.

"Nothing, just relating Chuck to Tina." Jasper told.

"Fair enough." Marklin sighed.

"Anyways," Shadow groaned, starting to get a headache. "We should probably start finding the chaos emeralds."

"Yeah, we only have so much room." Marklin seethed as he ran out of one kind of meat and had to find another kind.

"Well, four seats are already taken for us." Sonic said.

"Can I go!" Cass exclaimed, bursting into the kitchen dogs and wife in tow. Marklin and Jasper nodded numbly. The teens looked to Cass, knowing that they shouldn't be freaked out, but....

Ramona buried her face in her hands. "God you were easier to keep track of when you weren't retired."

"I can't say no to you coming." Sonic laughed. "Welcome to the adventure!"

"You're taking Apollo, and I better get a call every day." Ramona hissed to Marklin, Marklin snorted.

"Do you think that Cass isn't up for this? A road trip, much better than overthrowing a dictator." Marklin mumbled, he passed his aunts sandwiches.

"I'm sure she'll be fine." Sonic smiled to Ramona. Ramona rolled her eyes.

"I know she'll be be fine she'd gonna outlive the man upstairs himself, but that doesn't mean that I'm not gonna worry for her idiot ass." Ramona sneered, Cass rung an arm around her wife.

"Aww, but you love us, me, my ass, my two idiot children that I actually like." Cass chuckled, taking a bite of her sandwich. Sonic and Amy smiled at the encounter; Shadow had fallen asleep at the table.

Cass walked over to the sleeping teen, and slapped a hand onto Shadows back.

"Hey kid, no sleeping in your grease trap, that's how you get acne." Cass told, smirking.

Shadow squeaked as he was awoken, jumping up. Sonic chuckled. "Aw."

Cass took another bite of her sandwich.

Shadow grumbled tiredly, looking at Cass with deep disdain. Cass chuckled, Chuck finally reappeared.

"What is that squalling coming from your children's room." Chuck asked, Marklin chuckled.

"Music." Marklin told.

"You let children listen to that dredge!" Chuck snarrled, Jasper just buried his face in his paper.

"Excuse ME!" Marklin went to climb over the counter, but Ramona hit him on the nose with a teaspoon. "Excuse me, but my children are allowed to listen to what they feel." Marklin corrected.

"It can't be that bad, Uncle Chuck." Sonic commented curiously. After all, the elder hedgehog did have to listen to him and his guitar.

Marklin walked over to the hallways door, and listened for the song, his face dropped slightly. "What have I said about death metal this early in the morning, you can listen to 'Cannibal Corpse' and specifically 'I Cum Blood' at not 8 am!" Marklin screamed over the music.(AN FIRE: DON'T LISTEN TO THAT SONG PLEASE I NEEDED AN EXAMPLE I'M SORRY FOR YOUR INNOCENCE)

"It's 7:30!" Lily screamed back, she did however shut off the music.

"Well?" Chuck asked.

"That is simply noise ordinances, I would have let her listen to it if it hadn't been so early." Marklin defended.

Sonic leaned back in his chair. "Uncle Chuck would never let me do something like that."

Marklin, who had gone back to his cooking, pointed a knife at the cocky teen. "Count your blessings, rat." Marklin sneered.

"You really aren't a morning person, are ya?" Sonic looked to the cooking human.

"Ask the two bottles of wine." Jasper peeped, Marklin shrugged, and went back to his cooking.

Seeing that Chuck was back, Shadow quietly ate his sandwich without any commentary.

"So, where first?" Cass asked.

"Well, it seems that the Master Emerald can somewhat work, even though it's not complete." Sonic said. "It usually senses where a chaos emerald is. Hey, wait, Shads, can't you sense chaos emeralds?" Shadow simply nodded in response.

"Well then, he'll just smell out the way then?" Cass chirped, Jasper snorted.

"At least this world isn't crazy like your's we better start packing." Jasper put down his paper and coffee, standing her went to ready some things.

Shadow was going to comment on 'smell out the way,' but just sighed and decided against it. Sonic got up and started to jump around excitedly. "Yeah, adventure!"

"Mommy!" Basil cried, he ran to Marklin. "Daddy said you are leaving where are you going I don't want you to go please take me-" Marklin picked up his son and held him.

"Shh, it's just a little trip, we won't be gone long, and Uncle Timmy and Aunt clover are going to look after you, and it's alright." Marklin cooed to his child.

As Sonic was jumping around, he missed the part where he'd land on his feet, as he soon found himself on face planting on the ground. Shadow winced. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah... I'm fine...." Sonic groaned. Marklin bounced his child lightly, calming them.

"So, sonny boy, just getting used to your new legs?" Chuck asked, still a bit groggy from sleep.

Sonic sat up, pouting. "They don't listen to me. I ran into a car and it actually really hurt. And I can't even go fast now!"

"Well, maybe this will be a good lesson for you, to slow down once in awhile." Chuck chuckled cheerfully, trying to check Sonic's complaints.

Sonic crossed his arms childishly. "What does slowing down give ya?"

"A life, friends, a boyfriend; you may not notice it, Sonic, but you slow down a lot." Shadow commented.

"Life ain't all jelly and jam, boy." Chuck told, ringing an arm around the teen. Sonic pouted, causing Shadow to chuckle quietly at how childish his boyfriend could be.

Jasper came back with a suitcase. "I packed for us." Jasper told his husband who was holding their child.

"But I have to pick my outfits and ensembles and my make-"

"I packed for us." Jasper carried on with the suitcase.

"Great!" Sonic's mood instantly lifted, ready for an adventure.

"Well, I'll need to swing by home to pack, and get a tent or three, hotels can get expensive." Cass said, she now walked out her dogs following her, leaving Ramona. Ramona just puffed air.

"Sleeping outside!" Sonic sighed happily. "Just like the old days...."

"Good for you." Marklin snapped, putting down Basil.

"Jeez, you're starting to act like your old self again." Sonic said as he finally stood up. "I mean, I guess it's good that you're getting your life back together and all, but still...."

"Whatever," Marklin sneered.

Sonic faked that he was hurt by the other's rudeness, causing Shadow to roll his eyes.

"Well, I guess and can help out with the kids since the people who actually looks after them will be gone." Ramona sighed, disinterested with this all.

Sonic jumped up and down excitedly again, making his boyfriend wonder how his moods switch so quickly. "Can we go now!?"

"Cass has to-" Marklin started.

"I'm back!" Cass exclaimed, but a rucksack and a few tents, and Apollo carrying a picnic basket in his jaws.

"Woohoo!" Sonic shouted, happy to start the adventure. The group quickly got ready to leave, and got out to the old car.
