It was. There was fire, and crying, and distraction, and awful horrible unimaginable things. Shadow sighed, happy that that week long journey was over.

Jasper pulled into the driveway, and turned off the car. He went to open his door but face planted on the wheel, almost instantly naping.

Sonic cheered happily. “We finally got them all! Now we can go back home!” The he paused, his face going blank. “Back to Meh Burger and Bygone Island and no adventure and…. Gogobas….” he shivered.

“Don’t we have the big rock to also fix?” Cass asked, the entire car groaned.

“Ugh, where could that even be? I can’t even sense it.” Shadow groaned out loudly.

“We can figure that out later, let’s get inside first.” Marklin called, he grabbed Jasper by the sleeve and pulled him out of the car via the passenger side, rushing to get into him home. Shadow got out of the car, stretched, and untied a rope from the car. At the other end was a levitating, sleeping Silver.

Once everyone was in from the cold, Marklin walked to his kitchen, and left Jasper in the front hall.

“My HoUsE!?” Marklin screamed. Sonic walked into the kitchen and blinked.

“Uh…. What’s wrong?” He questioned, finding nothing was different.

Marklin rushed to his counter and started to rub the almost invisible layer of ‘filth’ off of the counters. Jasper stood due to the scream and walked into the kitchen sitting at his spot in the counter. Sonic glanced to Jasper in confusion.

Suddenly, a wild Timmy appeared, rolling in with the chalkboard.

“What’d we find out?” Cass asked, also sitting at the counter. Shadow made his way into the kitchen also, this time just holding Silver instead of pulling him by a rope.

“Well, I saw a new one and I figured out who he is, mr ro- no mar- um, is your last name hyphenated oh he’s asleep, well I know that he’s related to those ones.” Timmy pointed at Sonic and Shadow, he then started to write a scrabbled family tree on the board.

Sonic and Shadow looked at him in shock, Shadow accidentally dropping the sleeping kid, causing him to wake up with a loud, “OW!”

“Ok so the bana rock man is definitely not the right biology, no male looks that much like Marklin’s body type and not have the wrong hormones, and the blue speed boy is obviously eager in their relationship, and due to bana rock powers they are able to conceive and the snowflake leaf is a result of their weirdness.” Timothy said.

“Tim, Shadow is related to us.” Marklin told, Timmy looked at the board and double circled the hormones part.

Timothy also walked over and shook Sonics hand, “Congratulations.” and Timmy went back to the board working on the family web. Sonic felt his cheeks heat up as he glanced to Shadow.

Shadow looked to Silver before crossing his arms stubbornly. “I don’t think I believe you.”

Silver looked confused. “Eh, what?”

Marklin reached over to Silver and felt his hair. “I believe it.” Marklin went back to his cleaning.

Sonic and Shadow were silent as they looked to Silver.

“He couldn’t be ours right? I-I mean he is from 200 years in the future.” Sonic said quietly to Shadow.

“I don’t know….” Shadow glanced away from Sonic and Silver. “I mean, if somehow my immortal abilities were transferred to our child regardless…. It could be a possibility…..”

Silver started to get nervous at the staring, still a bit tired. “C-Can you guy please stop staring…?”

“See the banana rocks just make everything-” Cass sneezed “Momma are you ok?” Timothy went into panic.

Sonic and Shadow turned their attention to Cass. Sonic held out a chaos emerald. “Come on, it’ll help.”

Timothy looked at him Mother, eyes almost pleading. Cass caved.

“Fine.” Cass snatched the emerald, holding it plainly in front of her with no soul left in her she exclaimed with no energy or force. “Chaos control….” Cass disappeared and reappeared on the other side of the kitchen. She threw the rock and started to hyperventilate. “I am a woman of science but WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT WHICHCRAFT!”

Shadow caught it before it could hit the ground. “You used the emerald’s power to transport yourself.”

“Yeah, it’s Shads’ favorite way of travel.” Sonic smiled before getting elbowed by Shadow.

“Well I don’t feel sick anymore so that’s nice I guess.” Cass said, now calming.

“She really is in your family, eh Shadow.” Sonic grinned to Shadow, who just rolled his eyes.

“CASSANDRA!” Ramona Called, she stormed in. “Those two’s spawns are NOT-” Ramona checked herself and her loudness. “No.”

Sonic, Shadow, and Silver glanced to the salt grandma, Sonic in surprise, Shadow in the slightest of annoyance, and Silver still in confusion.

“Well, we better fix the big rock on the car now, so you can go.” Marklin sighed finishing the cleaning.

“Where could the last piece be anyways?” Sonic questioned, looking to Shadow.

Shadow shrugged. “I can’t sense pieces of the Master emerald.”

There was a scream. “MOMMY DADDY!” Basil cried, running in, holding his arm, following was Kat.

Shadow looked to Kat, recognizing the necklace. “There’s the last piece….”

Marklin and Jasper both backed up and shook their heads. Fear in their expressions, Kat now dragged Basil back out of the kitchen.

“Not it!” Sonic called, Shadow saying the same thing a second later.

“I’ve hardly even been in this story, and I’m not going to be now!” Amy called.

Silver looked, confused at Sonic and Shadow before piping up, “I-I don’t know what’s going on, but I’m not doing that!”

Chuck stood. “Fine.”

“NO!” Cass grabbed his arm.

Everyone looked at Marklin and Jasper, Marklin sighed and walked off.

“Well that worked out nicely.” Sonic smiled.

“Honey.… No.” Cass said, suddenly screaming erupted, pure, death and blood, murder screaming. Sonic tensed up at the noises as Shadow and Silver acted like nothing was different, Shadow use to hearing those types of screaming from what he’s done in the past and Silver, well, he lives in a post apocalyptic world, he should be use to that sound by now.

Marklin crawled back in, battered, bloody, and defeated. Sonic’s eyes widened. “Woah….” Marklin stood in the doorway.

“It was just a flight of stairs I’m fine.” Marklin coughed, holding his midsection, and bleeding from his mouth a little.

“Welp, guess Knuckles is outta luck.” Sonic shrugged. Timmy now stood, and marched on towards the goal.

“Should we stop him?” Jasper asked.

“Nah.” Cass chimed.

“Will he be okay?” Silver asked, kinda scared. Timmy now arrived back, in one arm was a calm happy Kat, the other was the necklace. He gave it to Shadow.

“You better give that back to it’s owner!” Kat snapped.

Shadow, though he would never admit it, was kinda scared, but he didn’t let that show. “Of course I will.”

“Let’s get that piece back on the Master Emerald!” Sonic smiled, racing outside to grab the large emerald and bringing it inside. He looked to Kat as he set it down. “I’m sure both Knuckles and Tikal will be very happy to have this back.”

“Now let’s get it fixed.” Marklin coughed.

Shadow pressed the final piece of the emerald to the rest, it glowing as it sealed back in place. A yawn was heard from the emerald.

“Great, you should all go home.” Jasper exclaimed, clapping his hands together as he now studied Marklin to help him stand.

“Home?” The girl inside the emerald asked. Then, they were all encased in a bright light.

“Woah, I forgot it was time for the Olympics!”
