I really don't know what to call this (help).

This is just me talking about the inspiration for the book, for the characters and other stuff. So you can just go ahead and skip to the story! I don't mind ❤!

So I'm a Bahamian and I really wanted to find a way to represent my country.  

So I told myself "You're good at writing! Why not write a book for your country?!"

So I did! Long story short, I found Wattpad and started publishing my story here!

Now let's talk Characters!

Shazelle: Is the main character. She's a girl after my own heart. Literally, Shazelle is my middle name!

Shazelle is a toughie with a soft spot for animals and her family and friends (don't forget books and food).

Sharelle: is crafted after me and my younger sister (who is 2). I would say Sharelle is 70% my little sister and 30% me. My little sister is stubborn, it's her way or the highway! And she's sneaky!

One time she started hitting me and when I called my Mom to come see, lil sister ran off and started playing with a toy on the ground! But I love her to death, and I would die for her❤!

Sharelle represents the other half of me. The half that likes climbing trees and picking seagrapes. The half that likes to run around my Grammy's house with the boys and get sweaty. The really loud and crazy side! The side that says what's on her mind and doesn't care if you don't like it (of course I feel guilty afterwards but they don't have to know!).

Dori: Is Shazelle and Sharelle's maternal grandmother. Yes, she is slightly crafted after my own own Grammy! Not that much though! 

My Grammy's name is Doralean Gibson, hence Dori L. Gibson was born!

Dori is a strong woman who had to go through a LOT! So in that sense she is like my Grammy, my Grammy had 15 children and attended 2 of their funerals before she hit 50! 

Dori doesn't just represent my Grammy but all Grammy's (especially Bahamian). These women have been through a lot, they raised their children and worked hard to provide for their family. And some of them are still raising children! Now go tell your Grammy you love her!

*Ahem got a little excited there!

Now for the last character!

Dave Gibson!

Now when you first start the book you may get the wrong idea about him. He never used to be the grumpy old man he now is. He used to be full of life! He used to dance around the house and sing with all his might until his wife started laughing and then his heart would warm with love for her.

But after a tragic scenario he was left with hardly any love left.

*Note this character has little to no traits of my Granddaddy ( at least, not after the "tragic scenario".)
