Izuku turned the doorknob and pushed the front door open. As Izuku walked into the cozy apartment, he quickly slipped off his shoes by the entrance. Inko, was in the kitchen washing dishes when she heard Izuku's footsteps approaching. She turned off the sink and turned towards him, a warm smile on her face.
"Hi Izuku, how was school?" Inko greeted him, wiping her hands on a kitchen towel. Izuku removed one of his earbuds and replied, "Um, well, you know... it was actually pretty good. B-better than I thought it was going to be, honestly."
"That's great, sweetie," Inko said, her voice filled with genuine happiness. "To make your day even better, I made some cold soba!!" She carried a plate of the delicious noodles to the dining table, where Izuku had already set his backpack down. He eagerly took a seat, ready to devour the meal.
They began eating in a comfortable silence, the sound of their utensils clinking against the dishes being the only noise in the room. Occasionally, they would exchange small conversations about their day. Izuku soon found himself craving more servings of his mother's delicious cold soba. It seemed like he couldn't get enough of it, and he found himself going back for seconds and even thirds. Each time he would nervously chuckle when Inko noticed his increased appetite.
"Izuku, you've been eating a lot more lately," Inko observed with a playful look in her eyes. Izuku nervously chuckled, feeling a slight blush rise to his cheeks. "Yeah, I've been getting pretty hungry recently," he replied, trying to downplay his growing appetite.
Inko smiled warmly at her son, seeing through his attempt to brush it off. "Well, keep on eating, Izuku," she encouraged, pouring him some more water. "You're growing and changing, so eat up. It's important to stay strong and healthy."
Izuku nodded "Thanks, Mom," he said.

Izuku walked down the hallway of his house. He could hear the faint sound of his mother washing the dishes in the kitchen, and the comforting smell of the candles that she lit up was filling the air. As he turned left, he found himself standing in front of his bedroom door. With a sigh of relief, he reached for the keypad and swiftly entered the code.

The door unlocked, and Izuku pushed it open, stepping into his room. He tossed his backpack carelessly into the corner of the room. He felt the tension slowly leave his body as he plopped himself onto his bed. As he lay there, Izuku absentmindedly grabbed his phone from his pocket.
He opened YouTube, scrolling through the videos without much interest until something caught his eye. And there, amidst the sea of content, he found a familiar face: All Might.
A smile crept across Izuku's face as he clicked on the video. All Might, the Symbol of Peace, had been his idol since childhood. Watching this specific videos always filled Izuku with a sense of awe and admiration. He must've watched it over 10,000 times.
Izuku watched the video intently, his eyes fixated on the screen. He absorbed every word, every action, as All Might showed his heroism. The video ignited a fire within Izuku's heart, filling him with a renewed sense of determination. "He's just like me" he said.
As the video came to an end, Izuku couldn't help but feel a surge of inspiration course through his body. He believed that he, too, could become a hero like All Might, despite the obstacles he had faced. But now everything is different, he now has these new abilities that could help him be the hero he wanted to be.
Izuku sat up and swung his legs off the bed. He glanced over at his backpack, lying in the corner of his room. He walked over to his backpack and unzipped it, rummaging through its contents, Izuku retrieved his Hero Analysis: Izuku Edition notebook.
Izuku opened his Hero Analysis notebook, flipping through the pages filled with notes of his abilities. As he read through some of his previous entries, he couldn't help but feel a pang of doubt. "Um, well... to be honest, I don't think I can really improve anything right now, especially my strength. I mean, I don't think I can find weights that are more than 3 tons... Maybe once I'm at U.A., things will be different." he murmured, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
As Izuku was in deep thought he remembered one thing that he was really lacking at, that being his web shooting abilities. His brow furrowed as he thought, 'Okay, let's see what I can do to fix this.' Izuku reached for the page, eager to find a solution. As he glanced at the page, he couldn't believe how vague his own notes were.
Power/Quirk
Web Shooting:
- It sucks
"I-It sucks?" he mumbled, a sweat drop forming on his forehead. "Maybe I could've been more descriptive...." Making his way to his desk and taking a seat. He retrieved a pencil, holding it tightly between his fingers as he stared at the blank paper in front of him. Thoughts swirled in his mind, contemplating the best approach to improving his web shooting.
He muttered to himself, "I could work on my web shooting abilities. I could start shooting webs every day for a certain amount of time, focusing on strengthening them and increasing accuracy." However, doubt once again crept in, causing Izuku to pause.
"Buuuuuuuuutttttt... I'm not really sure about this. It seems more like a form of.....deficiency of my quirk," he pondered aloud, voicing his concerns. He then remembered how some quirks didn't function as intended and required support items to help the users control their abilities better. "People with those quirks get support items," he acknowledged, nodding to himself. "Perhaps I should explore the possibility of support items for my web shooting."
"But would relying on support items be the same as fully mastering my own quirk?" Izuku tapped his pencil against the desk, contemplating his options. "You know what? I'll just do both. There's no harm in doing that. I'm still going to shoot webs organically, so it's going to improve naturally. But using support gear can help make it more accurate"
Izuku leaned back on his chair, then spun it around and around as he pondered over the possibilities of improving his web shooting abilities. As the chair spun, his mind whirled with ideas. Stopping the chair, Izuku started jotting down his thoughts, focusing on the key aspects he wanted his web shooter assist to possess.
Web Shooter Design ideas/wants
- Wrist-mounted Web Shooters: Having the web shooters around my wrist allows for quick and easy access during combat or rescue situations. This placement enhances my mobility, as I can swiftly activate the webbing with a flick of my wrist...also my webs come from my wrist so they should be around my wrist like a watch.
- Comfortability: Long hours of hero work require some comfort. The web shooter assist should have an ergonomic design, ensuring a snug fit without causing any discomfort or hindrance to my movements. Comfort will enhance my performance during battles and prolonged hero duties. Also I should make it not too tight that it would cut my blood circulation or too loose that it could possibly slip out. I could possibly use something like sweat wristbands as a base.
- Power and Pressure Enhancement: Increasing the strength and pressure of the webbing is essential. A small, lightweight motor or pressure amplification mechanism would enhance the web shooter's capabilities, allowing for better and stronger webs to restrain villains and create sturdier structures.
- Low Noise Output: The web shooter should operate at a relatively low noise level to avoid alerting enemies or causing unnecessary distractions during rescue missions. Good for sneak attacks!
- Double Tap Mechanism: Accidental web shots can be problematic during close combat. Implementing a double tap mechanism for web activation will prevent any inadvertent webbing, ensuring that I only use my web when necessary and with precision.
- Good Trigger: Speaking of the double tap mechanism, I need a good trigger. The trigger should have excellent responsiveness, allowing for quick activation of the web shooter. A well-designed trigger mechanism ensures minimal delay between pressing the trigger and the actual web release (my "organic" web probably also plays a part on the web shooting response)
- Appropriate Nozzle Size: The nozzle that emits the webbing should be of an appropriate size to control the web's shape and trajectory accurately. This is very important because depending on the size, it could either make my webs a lethal weapon or look like I'm shooting whip cream out my wrist.
Izuku sat at his desk, the pages of his notebook filled with ideas for his web shooter assist. He looked at the completed notes with a sense of accomplishment but he wasn't done yet. Now, it was time to translate those ideas into a tangible design.
Carefully, Izuku began to sketch different designs for the web shooter. He drew sleek and elegant models, envisioning them to be lightweight and streamlined for maximum agility. However, as he added the mechanisms and components, he quickly realized that some of them were too slim to accommodate the enhancements he wanted to include.
"Too sleek," Izuku mumbled to himself, shaking his head. "These won't have enough room for the motor or pressure amplification system......"
He crumpled up the paper and tossed it into the recycling bin. He tried another approach, drawing bulkier web shooters that could easily house all the necessary components. Yet, as he looked at them, he couldn't help but frown.
"Too clunky," he sighed. "These might be functional, but they're not practical in the field. I need something that won't hinder my movements. It also just looks ugly"
He went through several more attempts, sketching and erasing, refining and rethinking his designs. Each time, he learned from the previous version and made improvements. He spent hours poring over the details, making sure each element served a purpose and contributed to the overall functionality.
Izuku let out a sigh of relief as he finally completed his perfect design for his web shooters. After countless hours of brainstorming and refining, he was confident that his invention was ready for a test drive. Excited to see his creation come to life, he pulled out his laptop and opened up a 3D design application.
As the software loaded, Izuku thought about how 3D printing technology had come a long way, and he knew that the objects it could create were surprisingly strong and durable.
Izuku spent hours hunched over his laptop, meticulously designing and refining the prototype of his web shooter. Despite it being just an early model, he was determined to make it as close to perfection as possible. Every detail mattered to him, from the mechanism that propelled the webbing to the size and shape of each individual part. This is his future, his dream and he finally has some control over it.
He carefully adjusted the dimensions, ensuring that each component would fit snugly together. His fingers flew across the keyboard, making precise adjustments in the 3D modeling software. He referenced the original design, striving to stay true to the original.
Timeskip
With a click of a button, the 3D printer started its intricate work, carefully crafting each component of Izuku's web shooters. As he watched the estimated time for completion, he realized that it would take several hours. "I'll finish assembling them when I come back from school," he said.
Izuku looked at the worn-out 3D printer sitting on his desk. It was far from the sleek and high-tech machines he had seen in professional labs. The printer was covered in scratches, and some parts were held together with duct tape. Yet, despite its appearance, it had been faithfully printing his designs without fail. Izuku chuckled and patted the side of the printer gently. "You may be a piece of junk, but you sure know how to get the job done" he said.
As he checked the time, Izuku realized it was getting late. He had to get some rest if he wanted to be ready for school the next day. Just as he was about to shut down his laptop, a notification popped up on the screen, catching his attention. It was from Uraraka, reminding him to send her the pictures he had promised.
"Oh shiiii" Izuku typed hurriedly, his fingers flying across the keyboard. Izuku frantically started sending her the photos, hoping she wouldn't be too upset with his forgetfulness. Finally sending the last picture, Izuku let out a sigh of relief. Unbeknownst to Izuku, he had accidentally attached another photo along with the field trip photos.
