A Couple Weeks Later - Tatsuyu's POV

A though suddenly hits me. "Its Thanksgiving." I say and Sasuke raises an eyebrow.

"Yeah, and?" Sasuke asks me.

"You don't get it, I love thanksgiving, even if I didn't have anyone to celebrate with, Jiraiya was there and we'd spend the day watching the parade and eating store bought turkey dinners." I say with an amused smile.

"I just realized, you don't laugh." Sasuke says to me.

"Don't change the subject." I say to Sasuke and he sweat drops. "Hmm, I wonder if anyone will celebrate Thanksgiving this year after this last war." I say and Sasuke shrugs, just then, we get stopped by an old man.

"Hey, you youngsters want to watch the parade?" The old man asks and my eyes widen before I grin.

"What's your name?" I ask him.

"You can just call me grandpa." He says to us.

"Jiji, do you have a kitchen?" I ask him.

"Yes, my wife will be cooking." Jiji says to us and I nod.

"I'm gonna help her." I say and Sasuke sighs.

"Am I gonna be able to talk you out of this?" Sasuke asks me.

"Nope." I say grinning happily and I follow Jiji with Sasuke back to his cottage and I walk to the kitchen.

"Oh dear, I didn't know we'd have company." She says to me and I smile.

"Is it ok if I help here in the kitchen? I can cook, I swear." I say to her and she smiles.

"Alright, just call me Grandma." She says to me.

I smile. "Alright Bachan." I say and I take my jacket off, leaving me in my short sleeve and I start helping her here while Sasuke and Jiji sit in the living room watching the parade.

"So, who are you two? A Couple maybe?" Bachan asks me.

I smile amused. "Ah, heck no, I'm just keeping an eye on him for Kakashi, the Sixth Hokage, my name is Tatsuyu Senju, he's Sasuke Uchiha. I used to babysit him when he was kid." I say and she nods.

"Senju and Uchiha huh?" Bachan asks me and I smile amused.

"Yeah." I say and Bachan smiles.

"Well, there is more to this story isn't there? We have time as we cook." Bachan says to me.

"His older brother used to be my boyfriend, his name was Itachi." I say and Bachan nods.

The two of us talk as we cook.

"Ok, pie." Bachan says to me and my eyes light up. "We'll make two pies each, two can go with you and that boy in there." Bachan says to me.

I grin. "Awesome." I say and I get what I need to make pumpkin pie and she gets what she needs for apple. I start making the dough for the crust and once I finish, I put the dough in the freezer and I start making the filling.

"You really must love to cook and bake." Bachan says to me and I smile.

"Yeah, I've celebrated Thanksgiving for years with my God-Father, I've been able to cook since I was little, I had to take care of myself most of the time, all of the time, and I love baking, Itachi loved sweets, so I often made something for him." I say and Bachan nods. "Actually, he was the whole reason I got into baking." I say and I make the filling and I get handed two pie pans and I get my dough out and roll it out and I put it in the pan, I cut the edges off the dough and I put the filling in. I then set mine aside as Bachan finishes hers and we put the pies in the oven.

"Alright, now we need to do the mashed potatoes, the Green Bean Casserole and the Gravy." Bachan says to me.

"I can start peeling potatoes." I say to her and she nods.

"Just use the entire bag, pa eats a lot of mashed potatoes." Bachan says to me and I nod with a smile.

I get out a peeler and I start peeling the potatoes while Bachan starts boiling water and then starts on the green bean Casserole.

Once I finish peeling, I wash the potatoes and then I cut them and then I put them in the boiling water.

"Thanks dear, now, can you check the turkey?" Bachan asks me.

"Yeah." I say to her and I check on the turkey for her and then we head to the living room.

"You guys done?" Sasuke asks us and I hit him on the head.

"Sasuke, manners." I say to him and he rolls his eyes at me.

"Yeah, sure." Sasuke says me and I lean on the back of the couch as I watch the parade.

"I see you like the parade." Jiji says to me.

"Yeah, I grew up watching it." I say and Jiji nods.

I watch the parade till the pies are done and then I help take them out and Bachan puts the Casserole in and I make the gravy and after a while, all the food is done.

"Well then." Bachan says with a proud smile.

"Thanks for letting me cook." I say to her and she nods and we set the table with food.

"Alright, its dinner time." Bachan says but the two in the living room don't head.

"Sasuke, get in here, now." I say to him and he hears me and gets up and Jiji follows him in here and then we sit down to eat, but we say grace first.

"So, what are you thankful for Tatsuyu?" Bachan asks me and I tap my chin thinking.

"I have a lot of things to be thankful for." I say to her.

"And you Sasuke?" Bachan asks him.

"Naruto." Sasuke says to her and I smile amused.

"Yeah, I suppose I am too." I say and Bachan looks at us confused. "Naruto is basically my brother, but he's not, he's my God-Brother through our God-Father Jiraiya, Sasuke here, its more complicated." I say and Sasuke nods.

"You mean, Naruto the Hero of the Leaf?" Bachan asks us and we nod.

Bachan smiles as we eat and once we're done, I help bring out the pies.

"I don't want pie." Sasuke says to me.

"I made one of the Pumpkin pies, not sweet, I know you hate sweets." I say to Sasuke and he sighs in defeat as I put a piece of Pumpkin pie on his plate.

"You two couldn't be more different." Jiji says to us and I look at him confused.

"How so?" I ask him and Jiji chuckles amused as I sit down.

"A Senju and an Uchiha, you Tatsuyu, smile a lot while he, just frowns and stays aloof." Jiji says to me.

I sweat drop. "Actually, most of the time I'm aloof too, no on in the Leaf can figure out what I'm thinking." I say and I serve Bachan a piece of apple pie and Jiji a piece of pumpkin and then I get myself a piece of apple pie.

I sit in my seat and we start eating our pieces of pie and Sasuke looks surprised by his piece.

"I told you so Sasuke." I say and he rolls his eyes at me. "Bachan, you pie is so good." I say to her with a smile.

"Thank you dearie." Bachan says to me and once we're all done eating, I help put stuff away with Bachan.

"Thank you for the food Bachan." I say to her and she smiles at me.

"Pa misses having our children home for Thanksgiving, so, then I'm guessing he saw you and the boy out there and invited you in, to tell the truth, I love having company on Thanksgiving." Bachan says to me and I smile at her.

"Yeah, for years, it was just me and Jiraiya." I say to her and she smiles amused.

I pull out a scroll and I set it on the counter, open and I place the unsweetened pumpkin pie on it and I do a hand sign and I seal it.

"That's a very handy way to keep your things." Bachan says to me and I nod.

"I don't use sealing Jutsu often or at all, I just use it to store my stuff, its handy that way anyways." I say to her.

"Well, I saw you liked Apple Pie, so take an apple pie with you and leave the other pumpkin with me." Bachan says to me.

"Thanks Bachan." I say to her and I open the scroll farther and I seal an apple pie along with some of the leftovers from dinner and then I put the scroll in my pouch.

After a while, I put my coat back on and it covers my pouches.

"Thanks for inviting us to dinner, we appreciate it." I say to them with a thankful smile and the elderly couple smile and nod.

"Bye now dearies." They say to us and we nod and leave.

"They were nice." Sasuke says to me. "Why did you trust them?" Sasuke asks me and I smile.

"They were harmless." I say to him. "Not to mention their Chakra's weren't developed like a Ninja's." I say to him with a small shrug.
