The Next Day - Tatsuyu's POV

I walk behind everyone as they chat and I read my book, keeping an eye on our surroundings, unlike everyone else.

"Tatsu, why are you behind everyone else?" Naruto asks me as he tries to drag me up to everyone else, but I keep my pace.

"Because I can be." I say to him as I turn the page.

"Come join us." Naruto says to me.

"Why?" I ask him as I continue reading.

"Because you need to interact more with us if we're going to be a team." Naruto says to me.

"Why?" I ask.

"She's odd." Yamato says to Sakura.

I look at Naruto as I shut my book and I put it away and I end up walking with them all the way back to the village.

I walk with Yamato to the Hokage office and he knocks.

"Come in."

We walk in and Lady Tsunade looks up at us from her paperwork.

"Well?" She asks.

"Naruto is safe, the old bags can stop bothering us, Sai is on our side now instead of Danzo's because of Naruto, no surprise there, so, my mission is complete." I say and Lady Tsunade smirks.

"Good job Tatsuyu, now Yamato?" Lady Tsunade asks.

"We couldn't capture the spy, the spy however, was Kabuto, Orochimaru attacked us and Tatsuyu fought with Kabuto, the nine tails chakra was let loose and destroyed the bridge, Tatsuyu fell off and into the ravine below, no thanks to Sai, but, we did manage to find a hide out and saw Sasuke, we tried to get him back, but he was too strong for us at that moment in time and we failed to capture neither Kabuto or Sasuke." Yamato says to her.

I see Lady Tsunade, very particularly annoyed with us and I nod. "Yes, that is true, but, now I know how to counter his techniques and bring him back the next time we fight, but, I think I'll let Naruto do that, after all, Naruto did say something peculiar as he was talking to Sasuke. He said he didn't deserve to be Hokage if he can't even bring one friend back to the village, I'd rather Naruto live up to being Hokage by capturing Sasuke, after all, his dream is at stake, right?" I say and Lady Tsunade tch's.

"That was your chance to get him!" Lady Tsunade yells at us.

I flinch. "Sorry, if it was just I, then he would be here, but it wasn't just me, I could have brought him back with my 12 originals, if it wasn't for the fact that I was for one, already low on chakra, for two, had a pounding headache so bad that it felt like my teeth had their own pulses and for three, I fell of a Kami damned bridge, 500 yards down into a ravine of water." I say to her and she scowls at me and I scowl back.

"Well next time be more careful!" She yells at me.

"I would have been more careful if it wasn't for Orochimaru surprise attacking us and pissing Naruto off so much that he had 4 tails out and made the bridge collapse under my feet!" I yell back.

"Well next time don't let Orochimaru surprise attack you!" Lady Tsunade yells at me.

I tch in annoyance. "I was the only Kami Damned Sensor on the whole fricken team! How the hell am I supposed to warn everyone about him, when everyone else, is busy finding ways to capture the spy, not giving a kami damned second thought about Orochimaru!" I yell at her.

Yamato sweat drops at us. "Well, give them points for being cousins." Yamato mutters.

"SHUT UP!" We yell at him.

"Now, now, be nice." Neji says walking in with Guy-Sensei as me and Lady Tsunade glare at each other, my blue aura surrounding me and her purple aura surrounding her.

"Well maybe next time Tatsuyu, you should get them to think about all the possibilities!" Lady Tsunade yells at me.

"What? He's the ANBU and Sai is another ANBU, they should be able to think about that themselves!" I yell at her. "Not to mention, Sakura has her own brain and so does Naruto!" I yell and she growls in annoyance.

"Well enforce the possibilities next time so that this doesn't happen again!" Lady Tsunade yells at me.

My eye twitches. "You know what! I give up! What the hell Lady Tsunade? We gave it our Kami damned best against Sasuke! If I had full chakra stores and it was just the two of us fighting, he would be tied up and in front of Ibiki, but I wasn't, and you should accept that fact and start planning ahead! Now I'm taking the week off, like I was going to this past week but didn't get the chance because of this mission, now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go now." I say to her annoyed and beyond furious.

"Good then, Dismissed!" Lady Tsunade yells at me.

I huff and walk out of the room annoyed and Lee and TenTen make way for me since they don't want to be caught when I'm this angry.

"What got your feathers ruffled?" TenTen asks me.

"Not in the mood TenTen, I'm in the mood to evaporate a lake or flatten a forest, I'd rather not explain my last mission." I say through gritted teeth.

"Ok, I'll leave you be." TenTen says backing off and I only nod.

I head to the forest outside the gates and I release a long growl in annoyance and I kick a tree and it crashes into other tree's and they get uprooted and fly off, leaving a long line of up turned dirt where tree's used to be.

"You, are, angry."

"Yeah no kidding Jiraiya, why are you here?" I ask him.

"I thought I shouldn't leave you alone while your this angry." Jiraiya says to me with a smirk and I roll my eyes.

"Go away." I say and he smirks.

"Spar with me." Jiraiya says to me never losing his smirk.

I raise an eyebrow. "Fine, I'm not gonna go easy though." I say to him and I take my pouches off along with my katana and I set them aside while Jiraiya takes off his scroll and I take my jacket off, leaving me in a dark blue tank top and my black leggings.

"Alright, lets get started." Jiraiya says to me with a goofy grin.

We spar back and forth in Tai-Jutsu with me constantly landing blows and him nearly hitting me.

"Your very good." Jiraiya says to me with a grin once we're done, but we're panting and a bit exhausted.

"Thanks, your not to shabby yourself." I say to him and we both finally catch our breaths and we grin at each other.

"Happy Birthday Tatsuyu." Jiraiya says ruffling my hair and I smile at him.

"Thanks Jiraiya, I needed this, Lady Tsunade and I got into a fight about this past mission." I say and he frowns slightly.

"Yeah, everyone in the village could hear you two." Jiraiya says to me.

"Serves her right though." I say crossing my arms over my chest with a small smile. "Anyways." I say and Jiraiya nods.

"Anyways, you didn't tell anyone about your birthday?" Jiraiya asks me and I smile amused.

"I though someone would remember at least, but, everyone is so busy with missions since the Akatsuki are more active now." I say and Jiraiya nods. "But hey, at least my Godfather remembered, that's enough for me." I say and he nods.

"True, but Tsunade should have remembered." Jiraiya says to me.

"With how stressed she's been?" I ask and Jiraiya chuckles nervously.

"That's true, you should tell her though." Jiraiya says to me and I stare at him as if he were crazy.

"Did you forget what I just said? We both got into a fight, I'm not going back in there for the rest of the week, even if I wanted to." I say to him and Jiraiya laughs.

"Yeah, her temper is terrifying, but yours is equivalent to hers, when its set off by something, what was the trigger this time?" Jiraiya asks me.

"I didn't get my week off since the old bags tried to keep Naruto in the village." I say and Jiraiya nods. "I had it all planned out too, I wasn't gonna leave my house once." I say and he just shakes his head amused.

"You didn't want to leave your house?" Jiraiya asks me.

"Yes, I rarely get to stay at home, this past month I've been there for what? 5 nights?" I ask and Jiraiya nods.

"That's reasonable, you have been busy though as a Jonin, so its understandable." Jiraiya says to me.

I sigh. "Yeah, sometimes, I wish life was peaceful, there's too much conflict in this world." I say and Jiraiya nods in agreement.

"Well, I gotta go talk to Kakashi, thought I'd drop by." Jiraiya says to me with a smirk and I nod and he leaves.

I grab my jacket and I put it back on, but leaving it open and I attach my pouches and my katana again and I look up at the sky, a little upset, but, won't let it show.

I head to the sandwich shop and I get my usual to go and I head to the pie shop and I get a slice of apple pie to go and I head to my apartment and I unlock my door and I walk in and I shut and lock the door behind me.

I set my food in the kitchen and I head to my bedroom where I change into a dark blue sweater with the coat Lady Tsunade gave me about 3 years ago and dark blue pajama pants and I head to the kitchen when I hear a knock on my door and I get confused. "Who is that?" I ask myself as I walk to the door and I open it to see a box with a black kitten in it with a white diamond on her chest and my eyes soften at it. I frown as I look around and I pick the kitten up and I head to the Land Lady's apartment and I knock and she opens the door.

"Oh, good, you got your gift." The Land Lady says to me with a smirk.

"What?" I ask her confused.

"You live alone now correct? And its your birthday if I remember your forms correctly, no one wants to spend their birthday alone, now do they?" The Land Lady asks me.

I smile at her. "You sure I'm aloud to keep the kitten?" I ask.

"Yeah, you deserve it, you've been good to me the past 16 years." The Land Lady says to me.

"Thank you Ma'am." I say to her with a bow and she just nods and closes the door and I head back to my apartment and I take the kitten inside and I shut the door and I lock it again.

I look at the kitten and I see its a girl.

"Well then, what to call you?" I ask her and she meows.

"Well, how about Pandora? Or Panda, I like Panda, don't you?" I ask her and she meows. "You must be hungry, I am too." I say to her and I take her to the kitchen where I heat up some milk in a bowl and I set the two on the counter and she drinks the milk while I eat my sandwiches. I look at the kitten the whole time. "You must be around 3 months, I think the box came with a litter box, I'll be right back, don't eat my food." I say and the kitten sits down on the counter and watches me as I get up and I walk to the door and I look at the box and I take the litter tray out and I set it in the corner of the living room and I walk back to the kitchen to see Panda eating the turkey out of the remaining part of my sandwich. "Panda." I say and she purrs and I roll my eyes.

I pick her up and I take her to the living room and I show her, her tray and she uses it and follows me back to the kitchen and I set her on the counter and I start eating my pie and she tilts her head to the right and I smile amused and I know what she wants, but I finish my pie and I throw my stuff away before I take Panda to the living room and I sit down and I turn on the TV, and just as I do, someone knocks on the door.

"Again?" I ask and Panda meows at me as I get up and I walk to the door with her following me and I unlock the door and I open it to see Lady Tsunade. "Hello Lady Tsunade." I say and she looks at me shocked I'd answer the door.

"Tatsuyu." Lady Tsunade says to me and Panda meows. "Do I hear a cat?" Lady Tsunade asks me.

Panda climbs up to my shoulder and I wince as her claws stick in my shoulder and she meows at Lady Tsunade. "Panda, that hurt." I say and Lady Tsunade looks at her confused.

"When'd you get the cat?" Lady Tsunade asks me.

"The Land Lady gave her to me since I live alone, she though I might like some company." I say to Lady Tsunade who nods.

"Cats can be good company, but they have a mind of their own." Lady Tsunade says to me. "Anyways, can I come in?" She asks me.

"Are you going to scold me or fight with me?" I ask her.

"No." She says to me and I step to the side and she walks in and I close the door behind her and I walk to the living room where she follows me. "Your wearing the coat I gave you." Lady Tsunade says to me and I nod.

"Why wouldn't I?" I ask her as I sit on the couch and Panda jumps down into my lap and lays down.

"Anyways, sorry about earlier." Lady Tsunade says as she sits on the couch with me.

"There's nothing to be sorry for, you know I can't hate you for a pointless fight like that one." I say to her.

"Yeah, though you can hold grudges." Lady Tsunade says to me.

I shrug. "Not with you." I say and I watch the cartoons on the screen.

"Still in love with cartoons I see." Lady Tsunade says to me with an amused smile.

I raise an eyebrow. "Of course, its the only way I can experience a childhood that I couldn't have because of the village." I say and Lady Tsunade nods, knowing all about that.

"I think this time I'm gonna stay and watch with you." Lady Tsunade says to me and I nod and we both get comfortable while Panda lays on my chest. "I know its your birthday Tatsuyu." Lady Tsunade says to me.

I smile slightly. "So you remembered." I say to her and she glances at me confused.

"What do you mean I remembered? I was planning on spending the day with you when you got back for your birthday." Lady Tsunade says to me.

I smile as I watch the cartoons and Panda meows at me and I look at her confused. "Hey, I fed you and I put out a litter tray for you." I say to her and Lady Tsunade laughs and I shake my head and I pet Panda and she purrs in content.

"Wow, she's got really orange eyes." Lady Tsunade says looking at Panda.

I nod. "Yeah, she's unique." I say and Panda falls asleep and I sweat drop. "And very tired." I say and Lady Tsunade laughs.

"You look tired as well." Lady Tsunade points out and I snort.

"I'm fine, I can stay up for hours, its only afternoon." I say to her and I stifle a yawn, to which Lady Tsunade looks at me amused.

"You did the same thing when you were a baby, you refused to go to bed when I wanted you too, of course, that only frustrated me." Lady Tsunade says to me.

I sweat drop. "I always frustrate you." I say to her and she nods.

"Yeah, well, you have the week off, you should spend it resting and not training, your body is over worked, Yamato told me you had a fever yesterday night and that you were refusing help, not getting enough rest, over working yourself and working in wet clothes in cool spring air, is not a good idea." Lady Tsunade scolds me, but, by the end, I'm asleep against her shoulder. "What am I going to do with you, your worse than Naruto." She says to me quietly.

"I'm not fully asleep, I'm a light sleeper at first before I'm dead." I say to her and she just huffs and wraps an arm around my side like a mother would and I fall into a dead sleep.
