This Is Crazy!

Later that week, Yoongi is sitting in the living room with a tumbler of whisky as he's working on his laptop. Tae, Jimin, and Namjoon come into the living room. They all take a seat. Minutes tick by as they silently stare at Yoongi.

Yoongi knew they were staring, but ignored them; he had work to do, but finally, he had had enough. Frustrated, he growls, "What!?"

Tae calls Yoongi out, "I know you just used me to keep Pen busy so you could have Jiji to yourself."

Yoongi blushes and lowers his head. He was feeling guilty about what he had done, and Jiji kept reminding him. Yoongi sighs, ready to accept their judgment.

Tae continues, "I just wanted to say thanks."

Caught completely by surprise, Yoongi suddenly raises his head, confused. "What?" He was expecting anger, cursing, and all his shoes' laces tied in knots by morning. Anything but a word of 'thanks'.

Tae smiles, explaining, "Because of your match-making, Pen is going to move to Korea, and she and Buffy... Tannie's girlfriend is going to live next door to me."

Yoongi tries to shake the confusion from his head, asking, "What? Tannie's girlfriend?"

Tae, with an approving smile, says, "Yes, because of you, Tannie has found his soul mate."

Yoongi stands up and paces. "A dog can have a soul mate?" Leave it to Tae to come up with such a thing. But still... "This is crazy."

Jimin says, "No, it's not. Because of your selfish reason for attempting match-making, Lana and I had some beautiful nights and mornings together."

Yoongi asks, "Are you and Lana dating?"

Jimin replies swiftly, "No, we're just friends now, no benefits, just friends."

Namjoon, slightly blushing while listening to Jimin, says, "I have to thank you as well, hyung. Because of you, Lana and I are dating. She is opening a new restaurant in Seoul and moving to Korea to oversee it personally and be with me as my girlfriend." He smiles so happily that his dimples are clearly showing.

Jimin smiles, seeing Namjoon-hyung so happy at last. He liked Lana; their bodies got along great together, but their schedules weren't working out, and he knew Lana was only in it for the sex, but so was he. The sex was earth-shattering but not meant to last. Jimin did hope one day she would open herself up to trust love again, but it just wouldn't be with him.

Yoongi is just standing there, dumbfounded. Here, he tried to keep Jiji's friends out of his hair so he could be with her, and it seems they all found love while he lost it.

Jin comes in, having overheard them. He stands in the doorway with his hand on his hips, one hand tightly gripping a wooden spoon he recently used. "Well, I, for one, won't be thanking you, Yoongi."

The others look at a mad Jin as he continues, "Because of your match-making shenanigans, my foodie bestie is now mad at me! He found out I know Lana. He told me she was their huge rival and had beaten them out of several restaurant awards."

Jin begins to flail his arms around, gesturing because he is upset. "He called me a traitor for even having dinner with her!" Jin storms off angrily because he will never get the recipe for his favorite dish now.

J-Hope is walking by and sees them gathered in the living room right before Jin storms past him. He walks in and sits, thinking there is a group meeting and that he must have forgotten about it.

Yoongi suddenly turns to him and gruffly asks, "You want to thank me too!?"

J-Hope, surprised by the tone of Yoongi's voice, says, "What, why would I do that?"

Yoongi laughs and sits back down. "Never mind." He runs his hand over his face, thinking, 'I'll never play matchmaker again.'

He misses Jiji. She hasn't talked to him since she left him standing on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. You and Lana won't speak to him about her when he asks.

Yoongi looks at the others, his mood more somber than usual. He says, "Guys, I never meant for it... It's just that I... Shit. I'm sorry. I used you to have Jiji to myself, and my selfishness cost me Jiji.

Tae says, "I'm not happy about that, but I hope you can work things out." He looks at his watch, "Oh, I need to go. We're taking Buffy and Tannie shopping. See you guys later." They say bye as he heads out, smiling.

Jimin says, "He really is in love. I don't think Tannie is the only one to find his love soul mate." He watches his best friend leave with a lively step to his walk and thinks, 'Yup, he's in love.'

Jimin goes to Yoongi and puts his arm around him. He rests his head on Yoongi's shoulder, close enough to whisper in his ear, "Jiji loves you. Go talk to her."

Yoongi pulls away from Jimin, having doubts about her being in love with him anymore. He sighs, saying, "I tried to talk to her, but she won't answer her phone or reply to any of my texts."

Jimin stands with his hands on his hips, gives Yoongi a hard look, and says smartly, "I said GO talk to her."

Yoongi raises his eyebrows, realizing he hadn't thought of that. He starts picking at his hands. Well, he had, but didn't want to get into an argument, especially with no possibility of making up, like they do when they disagree over something.

Sometimes he would start something so that it would end up with them making up in bed. He grimaces, knowing Jimin is right.

Yoongi releases a sigh of resignation, admitting, "Yeah, you're right, Jimin."

Jimin grins and steps closer, asking, "What was that, something about me being right?" He cups his hand behind his ear to be sure he didn't miss the answer.

Yoongi gets an idea and turns to face Jimin. With a weary sigh, he says, "Yeah, you're right. Now, I have an idea..." He puts his arm around Jimin's shoulder, leads him over to the couch, and begins explaining his idea to make things right with Jiji.
