The 1st Wedding
How it works:
This wedding is going down in 4 stages.
1. The ceremony chain.
•Arrival and seating.
•Walking down the aisle.
•The ceremony with big "I do"s and kiss.
2. The reception chain.
•Cutting the cake.
•Having the food.
3. Present table chain.
•Drop off the gift at the couples table where it will be recieved.
4. Dance floor chain.
•Removing of the garter belt tradition.
•First dance with the married couple.
•Open dance floor before the departure of the happy couple to their (temporary) honeymoon in the newly restored south wing of the castle while their actual honeymoon is put off til the end of the selection.
Five sentence rule applies for everyone.
If you're in the wedding party but you didn't verify your coming: ain't nobody waiting for you.
If you're from outside the RP and try and just show up with an OC I didn't approved we're gonna have problems mate. Read the rule and then Go to the Wedding Planning chapter for a quickie character approval.
Comment on the appropriate main chains as they are opened. I will open the main chains as each step is completed. If you'd like to pull someone aside out of the main chain for some one on one role-play everybody doesn't need to be spammed with.
Depending who many people show to the wedding there may be multiple chains for the tables in the reception and the main chain will be reserved for collecting a slice of cake from the newly weds.
* means a main chain will be attached to the paragraph, more than likely.
~Now we may begin~
Prinston's and Gabrielle's Wedding
The Ceremony
Everything was finally in perfect in the ceremony area. Marble floors polished to a shined in the remaining five p.m. sunlight streaming through the windows, that may as well have been the walls, of the dome ballroom. The two sections of cream cushioned seats were spotless for the guest forming a half circle split by the aisle leading to the altar. Not a single wrinkle in the carpet that soon the people would be trampling. The wedding was traditional and small compared to the average royal wedding a bit over forty expected people wasn't much. Less chairs meant less rose cover carpet for Gabrielle and her father had to cross to get to the Prince.
Prinston stood with an odd mixture of emotions swirling within his chest waiting for Gabrielle under the wedding arch. Normally a wedding arch would be decorated in flowers and vines, but Gabrielle's curse would not permit such a thing. Instead the strawberry field outside glowing in the late afternoon light would suffice and silk flowed lightly in the gentle breeze seeping from the ceiling of the dome overhead. Dressed in a well fitting black suit the soon to be wed prince asked his brother Grayson for the umpteenth time that day if he looked alright. Being his best man and slightly older brother, Grayson assured Prinston that he was the prettiest prince in the ballroom. The way his dark eyes narrowed and boyish smile fled his face you would think he did not appreciate the compliment. Before he could complain of the teasing Adonis corrected Grayson himself, careful not to drop the wedding bands as the ring barer just in case. Those rings were far to precious and expensive to be careless with and Adonis knew it well. Gabrielle's band was a gold twist of sorts with simple Diamond heart while Prinston's gold band was merely inscribed with hearts.
*It was the sound of the brides cousin's band beginning to play the wedding march that signaled the reveal of the bride. Gabrielle was just across the walkway from them waiting to be escorted by her father to the alter. The light cream wedding gown draped to the floor trailing a bit behind her. The layers in the front of the dress gave it a princess gown appeal combined with the sequined jewels at her chest and sleeve dropping conservatively at her elbows. He thought he saw a twinkle on her neck even from this distance, a necklace perhaps? The cream dress went lovely with her green skin tone, and hair mostly down with some spare curl spulled back in a braid to keep her from getting in her eyes. Prinston was glad she wasn't wearing a veil or hiding her face throughout the painfully slow march. He took a step forward on instinct to which Grayson reminded him it was the other way around.
(After the ceremony)
The ceremony ended coming to a final complete close. Now that married it was time for Prinston to be responsibility and help feed the guests. The cake Gabrielle was sounding positively heavenly in all honesty and wanted to skip dinner just to go straight to dessert. Holding her hand, the puppet prince took the new princess over to the cake for the traditional first slice.
Glorious food lined the walls in the reception area on the right side.
Appetizer-pioneer cut dumplings, Roast turkey with vegetables, rolls, Red Wine, and Small Chocolate desserts with a assortment of treats via Gabrielle's parents Bakery
*The cake had three layers: The icing is cream cheese flavored and compliments the the flavors of the actual cake very well. The top layer is vanilla. The middle layer is chocolate, The bottom layer is Red Velvet. The creme colored cake is decorated in small details with pure white icing.
The happy couple have their own table set aside for their eating leisure to the far left of the ballroom.
*Directly next to their table was the gift table for visitors to drop off items and such for the newly weds.
*Between the left and right side of the alter was the dance floor. There they would dance with each other for the first time since becoming husband and wife and then with their parents. As well as continue the tradition of removing the garter belt if Prinston could manage to do that without passing out and if Gabrielle even wanted that.
With all that completed the wedding would come to a close as the Prinston and Gabrielle rode back to the castle carefully and into their temporary honeymoon in the south wing of the palace.
