Epilogue ~1~
HELLO EVERYONE
It's been so long since I did an A/N for the selection. I hope all my amazing readers are doing great <3
Also, it's my birthday today, so I decided to update 1 / 4 epilogues for today >w<. Yes, I said 1 / 4 ;3
So, without further ado, let's get on with the chapter! Enjoy ^w^
Marinette paced around her and Adrien's bedroom. She held a small stick in her left hand, her other one nervously moving. She opened her eyes widely, reading the results, followed by faster breathing.
She was pregnant.
She was first in shock, Adrien and Marinette are still in a strong marriage; it has been that way since the beginning. Two years have gone by, and Marinette had never thought that this would happen.
She then smiled widely, she and Adrien were going to become parents. She felt a knock on the door, followed by Alya walking in. "What's the hold-up girl? Everyone is waiting to see you," Alya said as Marinette's back faced towards her.
"I know that you've been a little sick-" Marinette showed Alya her test. "Oh my GOD!" Alya tackled her friend with a hug. "Why are you crying?" Alya said as Marinette wiped her eyes. "W-What if Adrien-" "Adrien is going to be ecstatic, and so should you," Alya winked.
Marinette smiled widely. "I have to be honest, this is so incredible," Marinette felt her tears drying up. "Come on! You have to tell him," Alya tugged on her arms. "I-I'll do it later, after the anniversary party is over," Marinette said as Alya gave her a pouting face.
"Take your time, but let's go!" Alya rushed Marinette out of my bedroom. "There is my blushing bride, still looking beautiful as the day we got married," Adrien handed her a glass of champagne. "N-No thanks," Marinette said quickly.
"It's your favourite~" Adrien smiled and winked. Marinette giggled. "I'll pass, it's okay," Marinette smiled. "Oooh!" Marinette saw Alya's and Nino's kid in his arms. "How's the baby," Marinette felt his small nose with her finger.
"Wow, he's adorable, he's got your eyes," Adrien complimented as Nino rubbed the back of his head. "Hopefully one day this will be us," Adrien said under his breath so Marinette could hear. "O-One day," Marinette handed the baby back to Alya.
"Did I-" "N-No, I just," Marinette felt herself heating up. "I-I'm just going to get some air," Marinette walked through the doors of the palace. The silence of walking out of a busy room hit her, and it felt so good.
She breathed in deeply, and she felt her fingers playing with the ribbon on her dress. How was she supposed to tell him? Maybe she could do a funny dessert. Or, she could fill a balloon with papers that said baby and pop it. Or, she could-
"Marinette?"
Adrien's calm voice stopped her train of thoughts. "Is there something wrong? I know when my wife is upset," he wrapped his hands around her waist and rested his head on his shoulder. "I-I..." Marinette stammered.
Adrien waited patiently as she figured out it was time. "I-I have something to tell you," she took his hands, and turned him to face her. "What is it?" he looked somewhat concerned.
"I'm pregnant!" She said her voice barely over a whisper.
Adrien looked at her dumbstruck as she turned around quickly. "I-I'm sorry if you think this is a bit too early to start a family-" Adrien turned her around, kissing her forehead. His eyes looked glossy with tears, as one of hers fell down her face.
"That is the greatest news I've heard ever," he lifted her up to spin her around. "A-Adrien!" She laughed as he placed her on the ground. "I-I'm so happy you approve," Marinette felt him wipe a tear.
"But, what if I'm like my father-" "Don't even say it," Marinette put a finger to his lips. "Adrien, I never would have fallen in love with you if you were like your father," Marinette reminded him as he cupped her face.
"P-Please don't make me cry," Adrien said as Marinette giggled. "When did you-" "J-Just earlier today," Marinette interrupted, already knowing the question. "Good thing you didn't take the champagne," Adrien said as they both laughed softly.
Adrien grabbed her hand.
"Huh-" Adrien ran into the forest. "A-Adrien the party is that way," "I'm just taking another route!" he exclaimed as Marinette kicked off her heels. "It's just like when we ran away the night of our first date," Adrien mooned over the thought.
"And at the wedding," Marinette added as she smiled widely. "Looking up at the stars," Adrien noticed the clear night sky. "Holding hands," they said at the same time. Marinette pecked his lips.
"If hope this child has you sense of story-telling," Marinette giggled softly. "And your beauty," he commented. "Hey, they could be a boy, you know," Adrien felt her hands trailing to her stomach. "Whatever they are, they better have your ocean eyes," Adrien's hand stroked the side of her face.
Marinette giggled as she grabbed his hand. "I love you," she breathed as she sat onto the ground. "Sit," she patted on the patch next to her. He sat down as they laid down, staring at the sky. "I-I know you said not to talk about this," Adrien said as she tilted her head.
"But, what if I turn into him?" Adrien's words hung in the air. "Adrien, I know you," her face hovered over his. "And you are not like your father, and if you do, I'll tell you," Marinette said, getting a reward of a quick peck on the lips.
"T-Thanks," Adrien was still unsure. "But, I know you are going to be a great mother," Adrien said as she kissed his cheek. "You know what? Let's do something bad-" "Worse then getting your wife pregnant?" Marinette said as Adrien gave her a playful glare.
"Well, maybe," Adrien grabbed onto her hand. "Where are we going?" Marinette asked before they started running. "Oh, yes," Adrien put a jacket on Marinette. "I'm not cold," Marinette laughed. "But, I don't want you getting sick," he pointed to her and her stomach.
"Adrien, don't be over-protective," Marinette playfully winned. "Oh, get used to it my queen," Adrien said getting a smile. "We're going to spend the night in the forest, I have the perfect place," Adrien ran deeper into the thicket, until reaching a small house.
"W-What is this?" Marinette entered as he locked the door. "No one knows it is here," Adrien said as he lit a candle. "It's a cozy house on the hill, I built it with Nino," Adrien said as Marinette admired the wood.
"We can stay here the night," Adrien got some blankets. "I'd love too," Marinette then noticed the sky light. "And once the baby is born, we can sneak off some nights, and look up at the stars," Marinette smiled widely as Adrien kissed her.
"Of course," Adrien winked.

"WHERE ARE THE BRIDE AND GROOM!?" Alya was practically fuming. They had all slept over the night, after everyone had left the party. "Alya, chill," Nino put his hands onto her shoulders.
"Maybe Adrien's knocking her up again," Zoey said, getting a playful glare from her boyfriend. "I have a feeling they are not doing that," Quinton, Zoey's boyfriend, joined the conversation.
"Is that- MARINETTE?" Zoey ran across to the entrance of the palace. "Where were you?" Zoey's voice was still as Marinette and Adrien looked at each other.
"Just, taking sometime for ourselves," They replied in unison.
