Once upon a time, Marinette had entered the selection. 

Once upon a time, she had cheated on the man she loved. 

Once upon a time, she watched her friends leave the game. 

Once upon a time...

...she was in the top 6.

"This is incredible, Marinette," Zoey scurried to get her a dress. 

"I don't even know my competition very well," Marinette shrugged. "I was hoping to make some friends, but everyone looks like they want to slaughter each other."

"It's never too late for change," Zoey winked. 

Marinette sighed. "I don't think I want to talk to them = don't even get me started about Lila and Chloe," she scoffed. "They're both equally horrible."

Zoey giggled. "Someone must have had a rough night, why are you being such a grump?" 

Marinette bit her lip. "It must have been the fact that the king tried to kill me yesterday, and my mother just died."

"That's the past, we can only move forward," Zoey winked. 

"Forward my as-" 

Zoey gave her a look. 

Marinette sighed. "Fine. Maybe I can organize an event or something," Marinette took a sip of tea. 

"That's a great idea!" Zoey smiled ushering for her to change.

"Of course, you have to look the best for your confrontation," Zoey picked out a special dress. 

It was enlaced with black roses with gold bias tape around the edges. The base of the dress was pearl white, giving the effect that her skin was glowing.

Her hair was let out and put into beach waves, some of her hair tied to the back with a black rose clip. 

"I'm going to be late!" Marinette struggled to put in her ladybug earrings, given to her by Adrien.

She quickly waved to Zoey and ran down the stairs in her white heels. 

"Gah!" She tripped as someone caught her. 

"Thank you," Marinette's face was bright red. 

"No problem," Adrien winked. "I've gotten used to your clumsiness," he joked.

"You haven't seen the worst of it," Marinette shot back immediately, giggling.

They both separated as the other five girls made an appearance. Marinette had noticed two groups; once consisted of Lila, Sabrina, and Chloe. The other consisted of Kagami and Juleka. She walked and waved to Kagami and Juleka, as they smiled at her arrival.

"Top 6, huh," Marinette sparked conversation. 

"Yeah," Kagami replied stiffly. 

"I had an idea, if you were up to it," Marinette said as the others piqued interest. 

"We could all sneak out tonight since Adrien would be going to his father's meeting, he won't be around." Marinette breathed, "he'll be in entirely other kingdom."

"We could sleep there and be up and gone by eight, tomorrow. When he comes back," Marinette smiled. 

"All six of us," Marinette added. 

Kagami and Juleka thought for a moment. "Dangerous, Secretive, and Dumb," Kagami laughed.

"I'm intrigued," she added as Marinette let out a sighed in relief.

"Me too," Juleka added. 

"Uh, Chloe, Sabrina, and Lila!" Marinette screamed after she got the girl's consent; the ones in her group, of course. 

"Hmm?" Chloe asked. 

"I was wondering if you wanted to sneak out to Adrien's room tonight? Since he is going to be out. We will do it together. Tonight at 8?" Marinette suggested as they looked at each other.

"That is amazing! It is so great that you think of these amazing ideas to bring us all together Marinette. It's just like you," Lila forced a smile. 

"Yeah..." she trailed off, knowing all about Lila's lying. 

"Sounds cool," Chloe added. "Even when you losers are involved."

"I'm in!" Sabrina smiled, agreeing with her two friends.

"Okay, see you all tonight!"

Marinette had told Zoey about her plans and had taken a pillow and some of her bedsheets. 

She folded them as she took them with her, walking down the stairs in her sleepwear. She was wearing a tank, as well as some black shorts, her hair in two pigtails. Kagami had met up with her, carrying the same supplies.

"This is going to be fun," Marinette tried to converse. 

"I hope so," Kagami replied, smiling. 

They walked in silence, Kagami stopping at the base of the stairs. 

"I don't know the way," Kagami admit. 

"I do," Marinette smiled as they continued to walk.

"Has he taken you up here?"

Marinette paused. "Yes, sometimes," Marinette said, trying not to sound braggy. 

"Oh," Kagami mumbled, drifting farther from her. 

Marinette sighed quietly, hoping her relationship with Adrien wouldn't get in the way of making new friends. Some of the other girls were at the base of the stairs, none of them knowing the way.

Sabrina, to her surprise, had brought a suitcase. "Do you really need that much?" Marinette asked, "it's just one night - we aren't moving in."

"It's for Chloe, I brought my stuff over here," she gestured to her left hand. 

All of them followed Marinette as she opened the door to Adrien's room.

Most of the girls ran in, put their stuff down, and ran around the room. Marinette had closed the door, locking it, as she did the same. "Adrien's bed!" Chloe rolled around in it. Marinette was a bit grossed out, but if she was, she was being a hypocrite.

Lila was looking through his desk while Sabrina was unpacking Chloe's luggage. Juleka was studying the artwork as Kagami had disappeared. 

"Where did Kagam-"

"Hah!" Kagami hit her with a pillow as Marinette shrieked.

"You're on!" Marinette grabbed her own as they started hitting each other. 

Sabrina soon joined in, following Juleka. 

"Wow, you guys are so good!" Lila exclaimed, getting hit. 

"Ugh! Like I'm ever going to get my hair messed up playing games!" Chloe scoffed, holding Adrien's pillow between her arms.

All the girls glanced at each other before smacking Chloe at the same time. "How dare you!" Chloe screamed, covering her face. 

Marinette felt herself smile as Chloe ran into the bathroom. 

"Is she okay?" Marinette's face turned into a frown. 

"She should be fine, we are just hitting her with feathers covered in a sheet," Kagami mumbled as Marinette giggled. Chloe returned, and a big smirk on her face.

"Sabrina, get my heels," Chloe said as she handed them to her. Chloe had cardboard to the bottom, just to make sure she was taller than everyone. "Ha! Now, I have the upper ground," Chloe hit Marinette with a pillow.

Marinette had fallen to the floor laughing as the others hit her with pillows. 

"I-I can't even hit her!" Kagami said, jumping off the bed to attempt to hit her. 

"I'm just too tall~" Chloe winked.

"Wow," Marinette started to smirk. "I thought I'd never see you this high without a pole under you!" Marinette smirked as all of them started to laugh. 

Chloe looked down but then started to laugh. "Good one, Dupain-Cheng."

"Go for the shoes!" Marinette said as Kagami and Sabrina shook at her feet. "Woah-" Chloe fell onto Adrien's bed. All of them fell to the floor laughing as they all panted.

"That," Kagami breathed. "Was fun."

"Then, my mom left, taking 50% of my Dad's stuff, and leaving 100% of the children," Chloe stated as the group giggled.

Marinette sighed. "Why haven't we done this before?" 

Marinette asked, leaning on her pillow. 

"I don't know," Kagami leaned back on her palms. 

"Well, my parents own a bakery. My mom was always strict, but she explained why she was right before she passed," Marinette felt herself sigh.

"I'm sorry," Juleka said, her voice barely above a whisper. 

"Let's make a pact!" Marinette raised her wine glass of water. 

"To be friends, no matter the outcome of the competition," Marinette smiled as everyone raised their water.

"If I become royalty, I'll put you all in my rearview mirror," Chloe joked. 

"We'll be sure to remember that when one of us becomes royal," Kagami spat as everyone laughed. 

"It's very late - we have pictures tomorrow, we can't have dark circles." Marinette sighed.

"Good night!" Marinette exclaimed, shutting off the light.

Marinette shifted in her sleep. She had just made 4 new friends; excluding Lila.

"Marinette?" someone shook her body. 

"Hmm?" Marinette said as she saw Adrien shaking her.

"Uh, hello," Marinette smiled widely. 

"What are you guys doing here?" Adrien asked, a small smirk on his face. 

"...Sleeping?" Marinette said as the other girls woke up. 

"Adrien!" Kagami exclaimed.

He smiled. "Nice to see you all," Adrien stood up. "May I ask what you are doing in my room?" 

"Bonding," Juleka whispered. 

"I thought I set my alarm!" Marinette looked at the clock. 

"You must have slept through it, it's almost ten o'clock," Adrien spoke as they all laughed. 

"Now go before you get into trouble," Adrien said as the girls packed up their stuff and left. 

"Marinette!" Adrien held onto her shoulder.

"Yeah?" Marinette replied. He squinted his eyes, looking down at her. 

"I know you led them up here," he said as Marinette giggled. 

"Sorry," Marinette sighed jokingly. "If you want, you can stay another night?" he asked.

"Am I allowed?" Marinette asked as Adrien shook his head. 

"Were you allowed last night? Did that stop you?" he pointed out as Marinette giggled. 

Marinette sideglanced at the other girls. "I...I think not. I don't want the other girls to hate me." 

"Your choice," Adrien sighed, "Though, better get ready for pictures."
