Chapter 14: First Date & Last Kiss
Enjoy the chapter :)
Marinette wasn't as excited for her date as she should have been. The memory of her scene with Luka occupied all her thoughts, echoing in her head like an addiction. Though, it was the fact they were together for so long that drew Marinette back to him.
When Zoey zipped Marinette's dress, telling her to shut her eyes before she finished making some makeup touches. Marinette laughed, growing more curious and excited about how she possibly looked like.
"Here we go!" Zoey exclaimed, pulling her in front of the mirror. Marinette opened her eyes and immediately smiled. The floor-length dress faded from black to deep red, having a small flutter on the seems that hovered above her ankles. Her bell sleeves ran down to her elbows, the bell portion extending to her wrists, being able to just show her black-diamond bracelet.
Her hair was let out of a french braid, the natural curls resting on her shoulders, while some were pinned to the back with black-diamonds, and a fully bloomed rose. She loved every part of her outfit; it truly was like she was in a fairytale.
Marinette let her worries slip away for the second, smiling at her reflection in the mirror. Alya was sitting on her bed, her and Zoey sharing a look as Marinette twirled around.
"You look gorgeous," Alya commented, feeling the fabric between her fingers. "Thanks!-" she went silent at the slight knock on her door. "I'll get it," Marinette strapped on her heels, Zoey answering the door. "Hello, Prince Adrien," Marinette took a silent deep breath, "You're princess awaits!~" Zoey opened the door, Adrien chuckling slightly at the statement.
"Zoey!" Marinette exclaimed, her face taking on a red hue. She giggled, Adrien smiling nervously as they went into the hallway, the moonlight pouring in through the curtains.
"Shall we go?" He extended his arm. Marinette tossed him a smile, both of them walking, hearing the faint sounds of dying chatter through the walls. They walked down the stairs, both of them thinking of ways to start the conversation.
"Well," they both said in unison.
They shared a quick laugh. "You go first," he added, "No, it's fine... I was just trying to make conversation," she shyly responded, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"It's fine," he paused, "I was wondering, what movie genre would you be interested in-" "I love comedy-" -she then cut herself off- "But romance is also cool, I love the characters," -she paused for a split second- "Also, horror is amazing since it sends chills down my spine..." he chuckled slightly. "A-And sci-fi is one of my favourite book genres, but mystery sounds cool as well.." she trailed off, her face turned red.
He chuckled at her. "Sorry, I tend to ramble on," "It's fine. It's nice to hear you talk," he smiled warmly. Just that smile, that reminded her of Luka. Now he was again occupying her thoughts.
Marinette sighed quietly, Adrien focusing on her facial features. "Sorry, if I am boring you," Adrien apologized with a smile, "I've never been on a date before." "Of course you're not!" she shot back desperately. She calmed down a bit, "I'm just a little distracted."
He smiled sadly. "That's fine. Let's do something to get your mind off of it, okay?" he asked, grabbing her hand. She smiled, then gasping as he led her down the rest of the stairs. They pushed through the large doors, running through the metal gates, and escaping into the forest.

Laughing filled both of the teens' ears as they crept deeper. "Shh!" Marinette exclaimed, but they kept on laughing anyway. "You're so amazing," Adrien breathed. Marinette blushed, but continued to silently giggle.
"This was so fun," Marinette held her heels in her fingers, her bare feet grazing over the bare ground. "Who says it is over?" Adrien responded daringly. He led her into an open spot in the dense forest, moonlight etching the grass, trees, and the teens' features. There, she saw a stone statue, encrypted with gold lettering.
"Adrien...?" Marinette asked softly, him sadly smiling at the statue."That's my mother," -she walked up to where he was standing-"She said one day I would meet the girl of my dreams, and that it would seem that everything is pushing you two away from each other," he continued.
"You are in love with another boy, while other girls love me," he said softly, Marinette opening her mouth to protest, but closed it again, knowing this was true. "My father doesn't like you, neither does my assistant," Adrien added, Marinette thinking about the fact that Luka loved her. "It seems that your saying... I'm the girl your dreaming about?" Marinette smiled cheekily.
He laughed. "Right," he replied softly, "You would have liked her, my mother." "And she would have loved you," his eyes were glazed with tears. Suddenly, he heard a sniffle from beside him.
A tear danced down her cheek, but she still was smiling, looking in the eye line of the statue. "Oh, my god," -another one fell as she glanced at him- "I am so sorry, please don't cry princess," he said making her laugh wiping her eyes aggressively. "No, it's not you. I'm so sorry," she hugged him, crying into his chest.
It was the fact that he was so genuine, kind and honest with her that made her cry. She had kissed another guy, and here he was, saying that she was the girl of his dreams.
He wrapped his arms around her. "It's okay," he rested his head on hers, "Whatever is going on, I promise I can fix it," he looked down at her. "It's not as simple as that," Marinette laughed, wiping her eyes. "You are too nice to me, if you knew what I did, you would hate me," tears flooding down her face.
"I'm not so sure about that," Adrien smiled. "You would never even like me, you would have never kissed me," she rambled on as Adrien chuckled. "We'll see about that," he whispered, closing his eyes.
Their lips met, Marinette's eyes fluttering shut.
Once they released, Adrien smiled. "Yup, I still am in love with you," he teased as she smiled sadly. "You deserve the best," "You are the best," he shot back.
"Silly kitty," she leaned back into a kiss. Marinette felt so happy, and it wasn't because of her ex...it was because of the prince.
***
When she stumbled into her room, closing the door quietly. She could barely keep her eyes open, but she saw a figure, a man, waiting for her on her bed.
"Luka, what are you doing here?" Marinette mumbled, tossing her heels on the floor. "I need to talk to you," "What is there to talk about?" Marinette shot back quickly, forcing her eyes open.
"About us," he responded. "There is no us!" she paused, "Well, there isn't supposed to be anyway," she added in a mumble. He stood up, planting a small kiss near her lips. "I know you'll make the right decision, Mari." -he whispered, his breath tickling her skin- "But, please, I know he isn't worth your time." she remained silent.
"Now, I can support you. I have the money," her breath hitched, "We can start a family - just like you said," Luka breathed, his lips curving into a smile, their faces a centimetre apart. She blushed and looked down at her hands, a small tear trailing down her cheek. "Luka..." she trailed, closing her eyes in denial. None-the-less, he leaned in.
Their lips met, her hands trailing to his chest, about to thrust him off. But, her wrists felt weak at the touch of his suit.
Zoey dropped her tray, letting the tea and cups shatter onto the floor, both of them parting. "What the hell!?" she glared at their embrace.
"Z-Zoey-" she stammered. "Get out of here. Now!" she walked up to Luka, glaring directly at him.
"What?" he chuckled, "What are you doing, Zoey?" Luka scoffed, Marinette shockingly staring at him. "You guys know each other?" Marinette's brows furrowed.
"Yes, we were friends," Zoey crossed her arms, Marinette still confused. "She helped me with my bags when I moved here," Luka added quietly.
"Please don't tell anyone," Marinette begged, breathing heavily. "Marinette..." she grumbled, her tone laced with disappointment. "Fine," she mumbled, relief washing over the two teens.
"On one condition," she glared at the two, "You guys are not allowed to see each other, understood?" she said sternly as Luka rolled his eyes, Marinette nodding surely. "Bye, Mari," Luka kissed her hand, Zoey then shoving him out of the room, slamming the door.
"Thanks, Zoey," Marinette admit quietly as she sighed disapprovingly. "Marinette, you need to get in handle with your emotions," Zoey mumbled, both of them bent down to help pick up the cracked teapot and cups.
"I know! It's just hard..." -Marinette mentally punched herself- "I like both guys so much."
Zoey sighed, meeting her eye line. "If you really like them, you'll choose one of them to be your one and only."
OOOH!! Layed the cheese on thick here. Lot's of Adrienette fluff, just for you guys. Well, stay tuned!
