Chapter 12: Urges
Okay, the picture above is kinda coot... BUT ADRIENETTE FOR LIFE!!! Enjoy!
The next morning, Marinette had heard that three other girls were kicked out. The competition had shrunk to 22 girls.
To avoid The Selection from taking too long, Adrien must get rid of at least two girls by the end of each week. Marinette was just thankful that she wasn't one of them. Maybe she wanted to stay after all.
Marinette already ate breakfast, and she was now getting ready for her class with Miss Bustier. Marinette could tell that she wasn't one of the teacher's favourites or even liked ones since she was always late to her classes, and sometimes missed them.
She could tell that she liked two girls; Lila Rossi and Kagami Tsurugi. Lila had continued being mean to Marinette, but for the past days, she had stopped since Adrien wasn't talking to her like normal.
It didn't bother Marinette very much; she was getting what she had deserved in her mind. Also, her heart was still pounding for both the prince and her ex, so it didn't hurt as much as it should of.
Last night Luka had tried to talk to her but had practically forced Marinette to shut the door in his face. She loved him but still didn't know why. She had no reason for her feelings, but she knew they were there.
Before leaving, Zoey made sure that her dress still had looked presentable for the class, since everyone must be dressed to impress. After making her way down the stairs, she bumped into one of the girls.
"Marinette," Lila spoke, her name sour to her tongue. "How does it feel that I'm Adrien's favourite?" Lila giggled, Marinette rushing past her down the stairs. "Ignoring your best competitor - nice," Lila smirked as Marinette stopped.
"He doesn't like you as much as you think, Lila," Marinette replied softly continuing down the stairs. "We'll see about that," Lila said as they both got to the front of the door. Suddenly, she pretended to trip and fell through the large wooden doors making a large sound.
Some girls gasped as Lila fell through into the room, and Lila gave Marinette a devilish grin.
"Miss! She pushed me! Marinette pushed me!" Lila accused pointing at Marinette. "I know you don't like me...But why!?" Lila cried. Marinette gasped. "She's lying! It wasn't me!" she looked desperately at the seated girls, "You can't believe her!"
Whispers echoed through the room as Miss Bustier shushed everyone. "Both of you sit down, you are late," she started, Lila standing up "I will deal with you both after class," Miss Bustier muttered as they made their way to their seats.
Everyone's eyes followed Marinette as she sat down in the chair, and she tried to ignore them. Miss Bustier droned on about our newest topic, though Marinette was stuck in a world of her own.
She leaned on her hand, as her elbow was placed on the table. Suddenly, someone tapped on her shoulder as she turned her head around. It was another girl from a rich family - Kagami Tsurugi.
"I know that Lila is lying," Kagami whispered, "But I will not ruin my reputation to defend you, but I do hope you find a method to expose her for her lies."
"Thanks?" Marinette whispered back, turning her head back to the lesson. At least someone knew what was going on, though it seemed she was still not getting any help from her.

After the one hour lesson was over, Lila and Marinette walking into the center of the classroom. Marinette wore a stern and confident expression, while Lila put on her innocent smile. "Okay girls," Miss Bustier started.
"As you know, jokes are not tolerated-" "This isn't a joke! She pushed me," Lila stated, the fake sadness in her eyes. Though, it seemed that Miss. Bustier was starting to believe her.
"Marinette, is this true?" she asked. "I know that you are late for classes, and you miss some of them," Marinette looked down, "And I was able to let that slide. But injuring another competitor! You could get kicked out for such foolery!"
"I know you are in no place to trust me right now. But you have to this time; it was not me. Lila is lying," Marinette stated, her voice almost cracking. "I don't-"
"Miss Bustier, if I may intervene," a male voice echoed from the distance.
The three girls turned their heads around, and saw the one and only, Prince Adrien. Marinette smiled in relief; Adrien knew that she could never lie.
"Marinette would never lie about doing such things, and she would never do it her self," he walked up to her, "Marinette is very kind and takes the blame for others." he paused. "Miss, I believe that Lila is lying," Adrien stated confidently.
Miss Bustier looked down before responding. "Yes, sir. Since this is your first time, I will not punish any of you," she excused them, "You are both dismissed," She pointed to the door.
Lila stood there, dumbstruck. She then stomped away and attempted to slam the door, making Marinette giggled. "Thank you," Marinette hugged him. To her surprise, he didn't hug her back.
"What do you need to say?" Adrien asked in a joking tone. She sighed playfully. "I'm sorry," she said as he wrapped her arms around her. "There we go," he rested his chin on her head.
They released each other, both of them smiling. "I'll see you later, princess," He pecked her cheek. She blushed a deep red and waved goodbye as he exited the room.
She had just apologized to him, and she felt very good to know that they were now closer to being back to where they were before. But, how he had stood up for her...
That was how he apologized.

After dinner, Zoey had informed her she had some other jobs to do outside of her room, and she left five minutes ago. For the first time during her stay, she got to bathe herself without the nagging feeling about knowing that someone was just a closed-door away.
She dried her hair with a towel and dressed herself. Her damp hair was then tied up into a bun, just to prevent it from wetting her nightgown. She then went outside on the balcony; the cool wind feeling good on my warm skin that was fresh from the shower.
Marinette had noticed some of the other girls were outside on their balconies as well, but she didn't know any of their names.
Marinette heard a faint knock on the door and went to open it presuming it was Zoey. But, to her surprise, it was not Zoey, nor the prince. It was Luka, her hometown lover.
"Luka...?" Marinette trailed as he let himself in. He closed the door behind him as he looked back to Marinette. "How are you liking your stay?" he asked silently. "It's fine," she replied, "How are you doing?"
"I am doing fine..." he then blushed slightly, "It's nice to see your face again," he added, staring into her bluebell eyes. Luka was a kind and gentle soul, and the way he stared into hers, made her melt.
He walked up closer, inching towards her face.
Marinette felt hesitant at first, but he cupped her face in his hands. "You're beautiful. He doesn't deserve you," he whispered playing with a strand of her hair.
Marinette opened her mouth to speak, but closed it quickly, blushing a deep red. He leaned in and she wrapped her arms around his neck.
They shared a passionate kiss, and Marinette had expected him to pull away.
But he stood there, and they kissed until they gasped for a breath of air. Marinette gasped for a breath once more, but Luka pulled her in again; this time closer. They kissed passionately for what felt like forever.
Luka was a reminder of her past; an amazing time. She loved every second they had spent together, and every time they touched she felt a spark.
Just like she did with Adrien.
Everything in her body told her to stop. To push him away and forget about him; it was time to move on. The voice echoed in her head, but she ignored it as they went into a deeper kiss, leaning on the shut door.
Everything told her to go away, except for her heart.
Stay tuned! See you guys :3
