These were all drawn by me, but the background isn't mine (which sadly is the best part of the picture). I hope you enjoy the chapter, and if you do please vote. Also, thank you guys for 30 followers!

Marinette was in a good state of mind the next morning. It may have been because Adrien shared his first kiss with her or the fact that they kissed in the first place - but it had basically acted like an anti-depressant for her.
Zoey kept going on about how cute they looked together, and how they're such a cute couple, which Marinette had to laugh at. She decided to put on a red dress, to symbolize luck; she thought it looked like the dress she took her entry picture was, ignoring the scarlet red.
She grasped the railing, making her way down the staircase. She watched her feet, trying to avoid the casualties that took place the morning prior.
She glanced upwards and she felt the colour drain from her face. She saw the prince, as well as...a girl?
It was Lila Rossi, the girl who glared behind her back; also known as the girl who everyone hated, but still wanted to be.
They were also very close; they were inches apart. But, they also had their lips pressed against each other; they were kissing.
Marinette felt her heart shatter into small fractiles; she couldn't believe she was basically dancing in midair, but he was here kissing a horrible girl. It seems that the prince had a charmer persona around every girl he seduced.
That lover act was just one big lie; he was just playing around with her emotions for the fun of it. She made a u-turn, dashing up the stairs, not noticing Adrien looking straight at her.
She paused at the top, clutching onto the large marble that signalled the end of the railing. Was she being too harsh? With 27 other girls here, how could he try and find love with all of them without crushing their hearts?
Marinette was finished and confused; she was eating her breakfast elsewhere. As she made her way back to the room she made sure not to look at Lila; she didn't want to see the smirk she was probably wearing.
And just like that, she dropped in the ranks.

Zoey handed Marinette a warm cup of tea. She smiled sadly and thanked her silently. "Miss, I know you're upset but," she sipped her tea, "But Adrien still loves you, it is a part of the selection that you must kiss more than one girl; it is how you find out who you truly love," she explained sadly.
"But I will never know if he loves me until there are no more girls in the competition," she protested "And, if this weren't the selection, that would be classified as cheating," Marinette muttered, placing her tea to the side.
Zoey sighed, placing her cup down as well. "Weren't you aware of all this before joining the selection?" Zoey asked as Marinette shrugged. "I... guess. It is common sense," Marinette said softly.
"Besides, he wanted his first kiss to be with you. Doesn't that mean anything?" Zoey countered as Marinette smiled sadly. "I mean, I'm not sure if I want to love someone who is putting me on a pedestal between other women,"
As Zoey sighed there was a knock on the door. Zoey got up to answer it as one of her friends waved. "Hey, girl!" she tossed Zoey a smile before walking in. "Alya! What are you doing here?"
"We have a class with Miss Bustier now, she asked me to come and get you," Alya laughed as Marinette face-palmed her self Zoey looking the other way. "That teacher probably hates me," Marinette mumbled as they walked out together.
"Probably? I'm sorry but it is one-hundred percent certain," she laughed resting an arm on her shoulders. "But, opinions can change you know. Just make her like you," she added.
Marinette shrugged. "What made you skip breakfast anyway?" Alya asked, gripping onto the handrail. Marnette laughed nervously, running her hand over her neck. "You see. It's a bit hard to explain," Alya still had the intrigued look on her face. "It is kinda dumb," she added, laughing nervously.
Her expression softened, "It's up to you, girl," she tossed her a quick wink, grabbing her hand. "Let's go now - let's try and not miss the rest of the lesson," she joked and opened the door. "Miss Bustier, I apologize for being late," she bit her lip as she and Alya took their seats.
She laughed and motioned for her to come to the front. She was hesitant but was in no state to decline. "What do you do if you are talking to your elders?" she tapped her stick in her hands "Like myself," Miss Bustier added.
"I-I, uh," she stuttered as Miss Bustier gave her a look. "Continue?" she tapped her stick hard on the ground. "Well, if Dupain-Cheng can't answer, why don't I?" Lila Rossi said, putting a hand over her chest.
"Well, in the circumstance- "Keep their eye line," Marinette started, as everyone's heads looked at her.
"Back straight, hands cupped," she continued walking up to Lila, hands behind her back. "And, smile," she said gave her a smirk, not knowing where all of this confidence had come from. Marinette gave her a pat on the shoulder, Lila standing up as well.
"Good job Dupain-Cheng, you must have actually succeeded to put something in that small brain of yours," Lila scoffed, Marinette's brows furrowing. "So, friends?" she asked sweetly, extending her hand. Is this some kind of joke?
Some girls gasped, while others laughed under their breath. Getting a friend request from a celebrity like Lila Rossi was a rare occasion, and Marinette was being asked on the spot. "I'd rather have no friends than be friends with you," Marinette crossed her arms as Lila laughed.
"Why?" -she looked her in the eye- "Is it because the prince likes me more?"
The room froze and whispers were shared between the competitors. Marinette looked down, her hand curled into a fist. "That's what I thought," Lila laughed as Marinette glanced the other way.
"You're wrong," Marinette shot back. "Just because you act so nice doesn't mean you are,"
She sucked in a breath quietly. "I-I know that you see me as your best competition and you are trying to take me down," Marinette smiled with determination, gathering the confidence she once had.
Lila rested a hand on her chair, leaning on it. "Impressive. And I never meant to be mean to you," Lila replied, Marinette turning around. She leaned in close to her ear.
"Try to beat me Marinette. The prince doesn't want to marry a poor baker's daughter, and the king doesn't like you. The odds are in my favour," Marinette's breath hitched. "Back down, and maybe I won't make your life living hell."
"I... I..." Marinette took a deep breath. "Fine. I'd like to see you try," Marinette spat returning to her seat and ignoring the whispers. Marinette didn't want to seem intimidated by that liar, but she knew she may have been overreacting. But still, what girl would actually come through with those threats? That's how you get kicked out.
She sat down next to Alya who had a large smile on her face. Marinette covered her face, Alya laughing quietly to not get yelled at. "Was it as bad as I thought?" she groaned.
"Way worse," she joked getting a playful glare from her friend. Marinette sighed as Miss Bustier droned on; this was going to be a long day.

After dinner, she had realized many more girls wanted to talk with her - especially after the little fight she had today. She escaped from their questions and rushed upstairs going into her room, and locking the door.
She sighed heavily as Zoey giggled at her. Then, instantly after, there was a knock.
"Don't answer it!" Zoey's brows raised, "It may be the prince - or one of the girls," Marinette begged as Zoey smirked. She opened the door, and not to her surprise, Adrien was standing there.
"Hello...Zoey?" she nodded happily, "I was wondering if Marinette was available," Adrien asked as Marinette crossed her arms. "No-" "Yes of course," Zoey interrupted. "Don't ruin your relationship. Try and fix it and talk," Zoey whispered as she shoved her outside, shutting the door.
Marinette sighed as Adrien held out his arm. She took it reluctantly and proceeded to walk down the stairs. "Marinette, is something on your mind?" Adrien asked as they continued down. "What do you think?" Marinette shot back.
His eyebrows raised as he laughed. "M'lady is feisty today," he replied. "I am not your lady. It seems that Lila Rossi is your lady," Marinette muttered.
"Can I not talk to other women?" Adrien asked back. His voice was calm, though Marinette's wasn't. "Why do you like her? She is a liar - and by the way, I saw your little kiss," Marinette exclaimed.
"Lila is nice," he replied as she looked the other way. He stopped. "Is this going to become a thing we need to talk about?" he asked. She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms, and looking the other way.
"Marinette, if you are part of the selection, you are going to need to accept that I may need to at least talk to other women," he said. "Maybe even hug or kiss," he added, authority laced in his tone.
"So if that is a problem..." he trailed off as Marinette sighed. "I... sorry. I'm overreacting," she mumbled. "Speak up, I can't hear your beautiful voice," he said lifting her face.
She smirked and took her finger and pushed his face back. "Not now, I need some fresh air," she said continuing down.
"I..." he sighed, "I hope you know that you were my first kiss. So that means you will always have a place in my memory at the least," he said as she leaned on his shoulder.
They walked outside and sat on the nearby bench. "Marinette," he whispered, wrapping his hand around her waist. She closed her eyes, resting her head on his shoulder. "M-" she covered his mouth with her hand.
"Shh," she said as the breeze, and slight shuffling of the trees and bushes filled their ears. Marinette needed it to be quiet; she needed to decide if she still loved Luka, or loved Adrien more. It was going to be tough, but it was a decision she was going to have to make.
Stay tuned ;)
