A/N: Americas dress.

I wake up in the morning to my 4 maids who
Have my outfit for the day already to go. It's simpler than yesterday's big light green ball gown with the delicate blue flowers on the skirt, because today not much will be going on besides getting ready for the selection.

Today I have out a light blue dress that is tight and sleeveless at the top and flares out towards the bottom. Luckily I just have to wear last today, and my hair is put into a simple bun.

"You're all ready to go." Says Mary. They curtsy as I leave the room.

My dad catches me on the way down the stairs, I'm happy to see him, unlike my mom he is more of an understanding person, all though he is also forcing me into the selection, mostly because mom is making him.

"Hey kitten, how are you doing?" He asked.

"Oh just a little nervous, about everything."

"What's there to be nervous about your going to find out 35 guys who might come to the place in two days, and then in a week from Friday they'll be here." He said jokingly.

I totally forgot that the names would be announced in 2 days. It seems so close now.

"Oh it will be okay honey, I mean it's how I met your mom and we're very happy together." Dad said.

I sighed I knew he was right, but I couldn't help but think how this might not work out for me.

"Now let's go and enjoy breakfast." He said as we reached the door to dining room.

We walked in to find mom, Gerad, May, and Astra in their usual places.

"Hey,"mom said "we were just about to start eating."

We each sat down in our specific places, I was next to May and dad.

It wasn't too early into breakfast when mom started talking "So how was last night?"

"It was fun." I said leaving it at that, I figured it was easier then telling them all about the whole Davis situation.

"That's nice," she said "because soon it will be as chaotic as that everyday with the selection coming up." She said this while glancing at dad.

I knew my selection could never be as great as theirs was, one could only hope, right?

I sighed I hated thinking about the selection right now "I think I'll just go upstairs now." I said and left the room.

On my way out I heard mom murmur to dad "that girl just won't sit still, will she, how will she do this all?"

I walked faster up the stairs, just keep going I told myself, I finally reached my door.

My maids were waiting for me when I came in, but I told them all to leave, even Marlee. Sometimes I just have to be by myself.
