Chapter 10
A/N:The picture above shows Marlee.
This week was hectic with maids and butlers running around the place.
It seemed as if millions of people were asking me "what curtains should we use in the selected rooms," or "should we have the boys where name tags the first few weeks,"
Why couldn't we prepare earlier, it was Saturday when we started all of this prep, and the boys arrive on Wednesday.
The week was just rushing by. I never really noticed how much went into planning The Selection.
Befor I knew it it was Tuesday and the boys would be here on Wednesday.
All the last minute things were put into place, everything was being perfected.
"Princess America," someone called.
I turned to see a butler standing behind me.
"Your parents would like for you to meet them in the library."
"Thank you," I said and headed towards the library.
I went to the center where there were a few chairs and couches.
My parents were already seated, and I took the seat across from them.
"Hey, kitten," my dad said.
"Hi," I replied.
"As you know your selection will start tomorrow," my mom said.
"This will be a very memorable and important part of your life," my dad added "we want you to find your perfect husband." He said.
"And through this process you might fall for one guy, then another, and another, and you may even be betrayed and find out that someone is not who you think they are," mom added.
"We just want you to know that we will be here for you if you need anything." My dad said while tasking my hand.
"I know, thank you mom and dad." I said.
I got up and gave each of them a hug before I left to go.
By now it was 5:30, so my maids had just enough time to fix me up before dinner.
I decided to take dinner in my room tonight so I could study the selected names and faces more.
I looked through the applications again.
I pulled up Asher Times. He was a two, and really handsome.
Next there was Emmerson Morose. I couldn't help but giggle when I looked at his picture. It looked as if he had a smirk on his face, and his blue-green eyes had a spark of mischief in them.
The next one I looked at was Maxon Schreave. He had a goofy looking smile plastered across his face, and adorable blond hair.
As I grabbed the next one, which was Aspen Leger, there was a knock on my door.
"Who is it," I called.
"It's Marlee," she answered.
"Come in," I said.
Marlee walked in and sat down across the bed from me.
"How are you?" I asked.
"Well if you must know, I met the cutest guard today!" She squealed.
"Marlee! What's his name?" I asked.
"Carter Woodwork," she answered.
The name felt familiar, but I could not exactly match the name with a face.
"That's great Marlee," I said.
"Well I really should let you get some sleep now, and I'll see you in the morning, Goodnight America." She said as she left the room.
"Good night Marlee" I called right before she left the room.
I took one last look at the pictures laying on my bed, Aspen Leger was still on the top.
Hopefully him and the rest of the men could eventually be my future perfect husband.
