•Elsa's POV•

The phone has been ringing nonstop for days. And today is the final day I have before my send off and my life changes forever. I'm not looking forward to it.

Toothiana soon gets a knock on the door while I'm folding clothes. I know, it's all I ever do. When she opens it and I see who it is, I nearly scream on the spot. Hiccup.

"Ms. Toothiana, my father wanted to give these to Lady Elsa before her send off tomorrow. May she come out to the car to get her gift? I'm afraid my father has instructed me not to come into your house. A person of my caste mustn't come into a lovely home like yours."

Suck up. Toothiana was a Three, so she was highly respected by the lowers. I head outside with him and sigh, knowing what this will be about.

"Elsa, please. I want you back. I love you-"

"Don't you dare pull that crap with me, Haddock. You hurt me when you cheated on me. I may be a Six, but I am not worthless. Who do you think cleans your dad's hotels?" I shove him. Hard.

"And if you dare think about talking to me again, I will personally hit you where it hurts."

I walk back inside, anger still waiting to spark in me. I slam the door, and then I hear Hiccup place flowers onto the doorstep. I look down and see a note that reads:

I'm sorry I hurt you. It was a mistake of a stupid boy. I will never treat you like that again. Please let me in again. I love you, Hiccup.

"What's wrong, Elsa?" Anna asks.

I haven't been able to sleep all night because of what Hiccup said. He still has feelings for me?

"Nothing, Anna. Can you put the flower in my hair, please?"

She nods as she puts an orchid in my hair. Our province's flower. I wear the outfit of the selected for their send off, a white shirt with flowing black pants. I look like a Six well dressed.

"You look so beautiful, Elsa. You are definitely going to win."

"Anna-"

"No, you will. And if you don't, you'll marry a handsome Two."

I shake my head. "I don't want to be a Two."

I don't even want to be a One.

"Elsa, we have to get you down to the podium." Tooth says. I sigh.

Me standing in front of a podium, speaking to all of my province. As If I'm not nervous enough. They lead me down there, and everyone cheers as I walk by. Some girls just shoot me daggers, blaming me for taking their spot.

Mayor Chambers starts by saying I'm a very sweet girl and care highly of others. He then asks if I'd like to say a few words.

"Mayor, I couldn't possibly-"

That is all I say before the microphone is shoved in my face. I clear my throat.

"Well, all I can say is that I never thought I would be in this. And those of you rooting for me, thank you. I will make sure that I help my province in some way through this. Through all the provinces. Thank you, Vega!"

I step off the podium when I spot Hiccup making his way to me. I quickly hug Anna and Toothiana and make way to the airport, where cameras and people are cheering.

Three other people will join me on my flight to Angeles: Jessica, Kaya, and Rapunzal. Jessica is a Three, Kaya a Two, and Rapunzal a Four. I sigh. I am the only Six in this Selection. And Kaya is already thinking lower of me. I straighten my shoulders. I may be a Six, but don't they dare count me out because of a number.
