"Did Sana ssi and Taehyung ssi hit off instantly? Usually this is what is presumed between celebrity couples. I'm curious as to how they met." I asked Tzuyu if she had some knowledge about it.
"No, I don't think so. My coworkers happen to reserve a lot of gossip, so I got to know that the two were classmates. Later when Sana made a career in films, she dated a co-star but suffered a depression after the break up. Taehyung ssi supported her during those hard times and that's all about it." "Sana ssi had an ex? I'm not much of her fan so I don't keep up with the news." I reasoned. Tzuyu nodded too, stuffing some of the bread in her mouth. "There were rumours flying around that Sana was insecure of her ex so he left her, and this was when Taehyung came into picture."
Somewhere this reminded me of Yoon oh. Although we split ways because of the mess in the last mission that forced him to say goodbye to his career, it was mostly fueled because of the insecurity we had with each other's jobs. He did say he loved me, and I still wonder how he might be living a life now.
"Lisa-yah, where are you lost? Come on, we should be leaving now." "No, I just zoned out a bit. Let's go."
We just exited the pizzeria and headed inside the office building, with me whining about how Tzuyu didn't let me pay for lunch.
"Yah, I can't let you pay me lunch! I feel embarrassed." I let out. "Lisa, I said it was my treat to you for saving me from getting fired that day. I ain't some rich bitch, though this is the minimum I can do for you!!" She cutely stared at me with dog eyes. We had a good laugh, but Sana stepped in to ruin the moment.
"Oh look who we have here! A useless receptionist spilling company gossip to an outsider! If you wanted to good around, why join here?" Sana was annoyed. I knew she was aiming this towards me by the disgusted look directed at me. "Sana ssi, it's not what you think like. We're friends and so we just came by for lunch-" Tzuyu tried to reason but Sana wasn't buying it. She was fuming in anger and determined to throw Tzuyu out just so that she could show how much of an 'influence' she had.
"You're only an employee at MY company, and you dare to answer me back? How pathetic!" After the nuisance she created at the lobby, she marched towards Taehyung's cabin, with a rage to rob Tzuyu of her job.
"Its my fault. I shouldn't have invited you over at work hours. I brought problems to both of us Lisa, I....I'm sorry...." The poor girl felt utterly disappointed in herself as if she had committed a sin and tears threatened to pour out of her eyes. I didn't pity her; we pity those who are helpless, but she had me by her side. I knew this was completely unrelated to the mission, but I wasn't going to let her suffer from injustice and get accused of something she never did.
"Tzuyu, hey, look at me. Nothing will happen. Relax. I won't let anything happen to you." I gave her an assuring nod before pulling her to follow me.
When we reached Taehyung's extravagant office cabin we could already see Sana complaining to Taehyung from the stained glass windows. She was being all mushy and mawkish to him, yeah. Definitely a great actress. Taehyung silently kept nodding to her, trying to calm her down. Though in his eyes - it looked as if he knew she was exaggerating and he let her do it. He let her take all the anger out on him, and diverted his attention to us when we arrived.
"Sir, please let me explain-" Tzuyu started, with a weary voice but Sana immediately started mocking her. "Wow. The guts. First you throw derogatory remarks behind my back and spill the company gossips to outsiders, and now you dare to show your face! I'm your boss, I can throw you out of this company. You must get punished for your disrespect." Sana basically roared.
"I would like to reason Sana ssi. First of all, we're both friends who casually met up to talk about life and we don't think you're an important part of our conversation so we wouldn't talk about you. And even if we did, on a personal level you shouldn't be eavesdropping on someone else, isn't it? Tzuyu didn't do anything she should be ashamed of, nor does she work for you. So practically you're not her employer who decides whether she stays or leaves. I don't mean to be rude but Sana-ssi I can't let you ridicule my friend who's completely innocent for the matter."
I looked at Taehyung who seemed to nod at my justification. He looked visibly impressed at how I defended Tzuyu and after a momentary thought he put an arm around Sana.
"Bae, Lisa ssi is right. Tzuyu is a sweet and hardworking girl and I have never had any complaints of her before. Look, she's even apologizing to you even when she's not at fault. I can't fire her just for this misunderstanding. (Sigh) I think you're tired, take a break from your schedule. You need to loosen up a little."
He explained to her in his deep soothing voice in the most sweetest way possible. I swear, this bitch is lucky to have a man like Taehyung.
"Tzuyu, go back to your desk and arrange the files assigned for the next meeting. I want them on my desk in the next two hours."
"Y-yes sir. Gamsahabnida.(eng: thank you.) They're prepared, I'll send them to your desk."
Tzuyu tapped on my shoulder in a thankful way and exited the room using the elevator. Sana was busy eyeing me a scornful look. She grumpily sat down on the couch.
"Oh, it's good we met today Taehyung-ssi. Actually my boss's son, Mr. Jeongguk wished to meet you at the press conference that day but unfortunately you were being interviewed so he couldn't find time." I drifted my attention to Taehyung.
"Ask him if he could arrange some free time the next week. There's a charity fete I've arranged, for our investor and sponsors. I'm going to email the invitations this evening, and it would be lovely for you to come too. Since you're one of our important guests."
Taehyung smiled back, though I could see a change of mood on Sana's face.
"But babe, the fete is basically a ball and she needs a date. I'm sure Lisa ssi you won't be able to arrange one, would you?" Sana sneered. She was being gravely offensive, and I had to come up with some sass to shut her mouth.
"Oh my, what are you trying to insinuate Sana ssi? I'm guessing you've met Jeongguk ssi earlier, haven't you? Well, I am dating Jeongguk ssi for a while. So he's my date for the evening."
Her jaw dropped down in shock. I bet she was definitely irked and even more jealous of me now. However what surprised me was the shock written on Taehyung's face.
"Oh...Uhm.....I didn't know that you were dating the chaebol....Sorry Lisa ssi, it's just I thought you were single..." Taehyung stuttered, as if falling short of words. Ofcourse, the way we two flirted back then while signing the deal and today the news of me secretly dating a chaebol are polar opposites.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this, it's actually we started off quite recently, though we've known each other for years. We decided we'll keep things slow and personal because we don't want unwanted attention from the media, you know..."
"Yes, I understand." Taehyung nodded, though I saw some amount of disappointment in his eyes. He might've felt a connection between us, which is why he looked so vexed. Maybe this jealousy track (which was completely unplanned) might actually be helpful in escalating the mission, since Taehyung definitely must want to meet Jungkook now. I realized I shouldn't hang around here in awkwardness, so it was time for me to excuse myself and leave.
"Hmm...so you'll be sending the invite via mail, so that we can meet up? Nice day, you two."
Although I managed to escape the uneasy scenario with Taehyung, things didn't go well while explaining the matter to Guk. Ofcourse, this boyfriend drama wasn't the part of the mission at all, rather a product of my rage at that moment. And because of this, Guk had a proud look on his face and didn't leave a single minute teasing me; his cockiness made yet another comeback.
Also, on our next meet at the Phoenix, Sehun asked us to turn in our phones to him, so that he could assign us with the new ones with the saved contacts necessary for this mission. These are one of the particulars followed in most of our missions, however this time I was a little too apprehensive; only a few days back Miyeon unnie had warned me of some forthcoming danger and giving away the phone meant losing all contact I had with her. Sehun ssi promised us that he would return back our mobiles once the mission is complete and swore not to look in the privacy of our devices, which I don't trust but gave in.

I'm sorry if I didn't update in these two days! Its difficult to update when there is a burden of assignment submissions to do over the weekend. Though I completed all of them and I'll start editing the next of the chapters today.
Also, expect an update of 'temporary' as well!
