Note: this chapter is a little lengthy compared to the rest, around 3k words lol, please proceed ahead!

I heard the sound of a gun being loaded. A moment later, the prison cell was opened, my back facing the door.

"Kneel down and put your hands behind your head. If you move, I'll blow your head off."

I immediately recognized her voice; it was Yeri. I knew why she was here and was also aware that this was my only way out.

"Queen Bee has given you adequate time to decide. Tsk, look at you how impuissant." She gloated.

I smirked. She probably must've volunteered to get me, just so that she could triumph over my vulnerability. Well, I could use that as an advantage, so I decided to play on my downfall.

"You were so right Yeri, you won. It must feel good to see me like this, no?"

"Ha, like I said before, believe it or not you're growing old. You should've retired." She held my hands over my head until I heard a shingle; she was about to handcuff me.

"Don't even try to move, I have orders to shoot you. And looking that you're already so defeated and have finally come to your senses, I am expecting you will join us."

She handcuffed one of my hands and moved to the next, blabbering some other things I didn't pay heed to.

"...and then we can be friends...kins I don't know. Unless you don't steal my spotlight-"

"NOW CHAE!" I commanded loudly and Chaeyoung immeditely banged a brick behind Yeri's head, knocking her unconscious.

"Are we gonna leave her like that?" Chaeyoung timidly asked.

"Yeah, let's get out of here before she wakes up." I answered, removing my handcuffs and grabbing Yeri's gun. Having a gun and a small knife at my disposal, I was ready to find Jungkook.

"Jungkook?" I voiced as I searched for him in the prison cells and creepy hallways. "Over here, Lali!"

I heard a voice from the opposite cell and finally reached a dark cabin with a small, blurry window. I could clearly see his eyes looking at me with hope, assuring if things were okay.

"I'm sliding down a knife, will you manage to do something?"

"Yes I will. Are you okay?"

"Hmm. I have to hurry, I need to stop Queen Bee before she sells off!"

"Take care! I'll try to be out asap."

I made my way towards the inner halls of the hospital, after hiding Chaeyoung in a safe place, near the exit where no guards were to be seen.

Making my way down the lobby, I found two hard chested, armed guys guarding the cafeteria. It was certain that Sehun and Queen Bee might be in the room, or probably that's where the drug was.

Already starved and feeling a little weak, there wasn't a chance I could use my bullets, since I had no idea how many people I'd have to kill to get to the drug. So lurking behind in the dark, a plan clicked in my head.

I charged towards them at a very fast pace, I grabbed the two by their neck, twisting it hard before kicking the two flat on the floor before they had the chance to react. As one of them tried to get up, I twisted his leg ㅡ paralyzing his hold on me rendering him unconscious. This was my favourite self defense move, something I was well known for.

Heading into the room, I hid myself behind a wall to listen to their conversation. The room was full of mobsters, Sehun commanding them about something.

"She won't be joining us." Sehun said distressed.

"Right. I had thought of her as my own daughter; if it weren't for her to get away. She means nothing to me anymore and since we have the drug in our hands, we're better off without a weakling like her. She's no match for Pledis and you, my son."

"I feel that she's attached to Jungkook and Taehyung too. We can't risk her exposing us, so we need to kill her and sell off the drug to the highest bidder; she might try to steal the drug again, we can't rest until then."

"YOU ARE DAMN RIGHT ABOUT THAT!"

Instinctively, I started firing bullets all over room, everyone in the room encountered leaving only Sehun and Queen Bee standing.

They, obviously were terrified as their lips quivered in horror, they didn't even dare to move an inch because they knew that my precision was the finest, if I'd target someone I'd hit them no matter what. I knew they were the people behind breaking out my past before the media and watching them like this only made me realize how dangerous these people were, I wasn't going to spare anyone of them!

"Its no surprise to see you soon, princess. Like always, you never fail to impress me by your bull's eye like precision." Queen Bee clapped her hands in pretended admiration.

"Cut the crap Yong Sun. You were definitely not expecting me here, I can tell that. Where is the drug?" I tightened the grip on my gun, directly aiming it on her head.

"Obviously not here."

"No need, I got it." I heard Guk's voice behind me.

"Damn Sehun, you really need some security tips. You literally thought that one safe and some guards around it will protect the drug from getting stolen? Tsk."

"Return the drug to us Jeon, or you'll regret it." Sehun growled.

"You really think?" Jungkook chuffed.

"Give me the drug for the last time I call out, or I'll tell Lisa who you really are."

"What is he saying, Guk?"

"I have no idea, Lisa."

"So you really didn't tell her about the little connection you have with us, did you?" Sehun smirked and as I glanced at Jungkook, I saw him standing beside in guilt.

"W-What do you mean?"

"As you know Lisa, that Pledis mafia has been involved hugely in the drugs industry. One of our main exporters was man named Jeon, does that ring a bell?"

"Its not-"

"Jeon Jeonghan was the only major supplier who exclusively contracted with us for cocaine supplies."

"Did you know about this Jungkook?" I asked, praying none of this was true.

Unfortunately, he nodded.

"Y-Yes...but I had n-nothing to do with it..." He lowered his head in melancholia.

Your father, wasn't he a police officer, yes? Did Jungkook tell you his father is the one who murdered your family?"

My senses panicked, as if I was experiencing waves of shock in my blood. Jungkook was equally stunned, denying all of this.

"N-no....t-that's not true...I know he won't do this. You're lying Sehun!" He quivered.

"Oh, why are you stuttering then? You are ashamed to have his genes right? Worst part of this, you didn't let Lisa know for once that you're just like your father, murdering innocent people of their lives? That you knew all this while that by whom and how Lisa's family was all murdered?" Queen Bee added.

"The last day we met was the day your family was murdered." Sehun knew he had turned the tables over. He was triumphantly proud of himself, the pride sparkling in his eyes.

"NO! That's sheer lies! The last time I met you was the time you were looking for someone to infiltrate Vamtae Corp! How dare you accuse me like that?!! I LOVE HER, and I would never kill innocent people!" Jungkook pointed out in rage.

He turned towards me, looking pitiful and embarrassed. "Lali, please believe me, I swear I don't know that if my father is the one who is behind the murder...I seriously don't. They're trying to turn you against me, I swear that whatever I shared with you that day, was the real, truthful and honest."

"He isn't no Robin Hood either! In a pursuit to seek revenge on his father, he tried to murder all the innocent employees who worked for him. Will you believe a gruesome murderer like him, really princess." Yong Sun crossed her arms and sneered, her eyes narrowed at Jungkook.

"AAAAARGH STOP IT!"

I was exhausted, my legs trembling but my mind burning in rage. Either way, there was someone lying. Pledis for sure had my family killed...but was Jungkook aware of this? Did he keep silent knowing his father had caused all of it?

I found myslef in the same net of lies from years ago, when I left Pledis. The time when, I had to shoot my lover and let go of the innocence I had...to now, where I had no idea which party was lying. I was hesitating to shoot Jungkook. My heart kept warning me, he was being scapegoated into the matter.

But he didn't even deny his father's connections and if he could hide this from me, it was no surprise he wouldn't hideㅡ

"What are you waiting for, shoot him! Don't you remember how your mother pleaded to let you go when those guys were harassing her? When your brother lay lifeless on the ground, in the living room! Kill him!"

Sehun's words suddenly hit me. I remembered the nightmares that were haunting me to this day. The flashes of my brother Lucas, my father murdered before my eyes...my mother pleading the men to spare me....how did Sehun know all of this when it was publicly declared my family was killed in an accidental fire?

It all made sense now. HE was my family's murderer! That's the reason he fled away to abroad just after the murder and so he could hide from everyone and no one would know he was Queen Bee's son, which explains why I never saw him myself!

"You killed them...you killed my family...

YOU WERE THE ASSASSIN!"

Shutting my eyes close, I fired multiple gunshots in a fraction of seconds. Sehun whimpered in pain, his hand clasping his shoulder tightly.

"Took you long enough to realize...maybe I should've stopped right then when I mentioned your mother, I said way too much. Truthfully, I can still hear her pleas ringing in my eyes to this day...I won't regret over it, because I look at it proudly. To be accepted and become a part of The Pledis Mafia."

Letting out his last words, he collapsed on the ground, taking his last breath.

Queen Bee knowing nothing more to do, instantly grabbed the gun from her now dead son's hand. But before she could react, I killed her in a blink of an eye.

My hands let go of the gun I was holding, I broke down into tears...luckily I had Jungkook beside me. Holding onto me tightly in his arms, assuring me that everything was over. If Jungkook hadn't been beside me, I was sure I could've collapsed in disbelief of what had just happened.

"Lali, I got you. Shhhhh...I got you." I cried my heart out in his arms. He never let me go, his embrace was enough for me to know that things will be better now. I had finally got closure after all these years, I had avenged my family's death, my nightmares, my fears....I could finally be back living as the old innocent Lalisa, though I wasn't sure if I could live with the pain and try living a better life. I had the drug in my hand, we were free to go.

"For a moment I thought you would really shoot me, Lali and I know you had all rights to. After all, it was my fault that I hid from you the connections my father had with the mafia. I seriously had no idea about your family's death and had I known prior, I wouldn't have hesitated to shoot them myself as they hurt you...." Jungkook rubbed my back as I felt him sobbing silently too.

So breaking the embrace, I connected my forehead to his, my cold hands reaching to hold his tightly.

"I still can't believe we did it....it happened."

"What matters the most is that we're both alive and now have the drug in our reach. You're a fighter Lisa....you finally found justice for your family. I am proud of you. I love you." He pacified me by wiping away my tears and kissing our intertwined hands.

"Y-yeah..." I said, trying to collect myself. "We saved it, the world...not from a biochemical catastrophe, but against inhumanity."

"Indeed. Jimin...he's alive."

"Yes, I know. I found his fiancee locked up with me. I know everything now, Guk."

"We need to report these crimes to the MIO so that they can take action. And hopefully, we would be excused...but let's get out of here." Jungkook suggested, rubbing his arm.

We found ourselves back in the dark alley, with dim lights flickering above us. We were heading out towards the nearest exit where I had left Chaeyoung and Jungkook left Jimin, we found her...Yeri.

She pointed the gun at us, but suddenly using lightening reflexes, someone from behind shot a sedative in her direction, rendering her unconscious.

I turned around to find two of my favourite persons out there ㅡ Jisoo and Miyeon unnie.

"Unnie!" I immediately ran into their arms, sharing a group hug.

(A/N: I hope y'all didn't forget about Jisoo, Jin and Miyeon, they are a part of the story too!)

I saw Jin oppa wave at Jungkook giving him a side hug.

"You two know each other?" I asked after Jin oppa hugged me.

"Oh ofcourse, I practically raised this kid. You see, I'm the reason why he's a muscle pig." Jin oppa winked.

"Yeah eomma, keep reserving credits for yourself." Jungkook deadpanned him.

"You shithead, come here will you?" Jin oppa faked his anger as he jumped onto him, making us laugh.

"What about Jimin and Chaeyoung?"

"We rescued them, they're in the car. And about this girl, we might need her while we subsequently run our interrogations." Jisoo unnie replied, pointing at Yeri.

"Interrogations? For what?"

"Ah...about that. You remember I had once cryptically informed you to stay out of this mission? I don't know if that code went to you or not, but I wanted to warn you that Sehun was not the person I had performed a background check on." Miyeon unnie answered.

"Huh? What do you mean by that unnie?"

"Apparently over the past number of years, a number of agents have joined the MIO under fake profiles and backgrounds. They have inflicted and have been sending secret information out of the headquarters, mostly to underground associations. Therefore these background checks were all fabricated and by the time we got to know it, we completely couldn't communicate with you."

"What happened after that?"

"We had orders from Chief Namjoon ㅡ the youngest president of cybercriminal branch of MIO and Chief Hoseok ㅡ a member of international board of directors in the MIO to let the spies continue their ongoing missions whilst we track you and find out the root to all these mobs."

"Did you find a lead?"

"Hmm...yes." Jin oppa thoughtfully scratched his chin, before he continued. "You remember when Jisoo and I exposed the trafficking network spread across continents, during additional investigation we came to know that this network wasn't only working superficially, but was deeply associated with other criminal acts run by these mobsters under fictitious organizations, who also have indulged in export of huge barells of illegal drugs and banned substances. The Phoenix agency is one of them."

"I'm speechless, people can really do that? Woah." Jungkook widened his eyes, comprehending whatever was being told to us.

"Although we're still identifying the possible links it seems you two did a great job in flashing the truth of one of the most dreaded mafia leaders, I am sure your ways were a little crooked and you were tricked into stealing the drug, but we'll have your name cleared. We're so happy that you two could pull if off successfully." Miyeon unnie cheered as we were led out of the place.

"Unnie..." I called out to Jisoo unnie, who was seated beside me all the time.

"Yes?"

"You know all of this has been so hard for me right?"

"I do. I know everything. I researched a little about your family too Lis...actually your father was trying to understand the same matter as well. So he was sent death threats from Pledis a number of times, but his determination to fight against injustice led to his death, along with your mother and Lucas."

"Hmm....I think finally their souls might be in peace, after so long. Won't they, unnie?"

"Yes, they sure will be. Come here." She inched closer and wrapped an arm around my shoulder as we flew to the MIO's headquarters in Korea.

"Rest a little hun, its going to be a long flight."

I knew I had certain answers to give...to both Jungkook and Taehyung. I had to return the drug to Taehyung myself, explain everything to him eve though I was unsure if I can ever seek forgiveness from him or not.

I couldn't just rest yet.
