It was already night time when I woke up from my sleep. I wasn't used to resting in bed for so long. It gave me tons of boredom and cramps.

I got hold of the bed handle and tried to get up and walk around. I successfully removed the drip and stood by the windowsill. Suddenly a dark figure jumped into the room through the window.

Due to the sudden invasion, I couldn't help but topple over the man on the ground with a thud. I instantly recognized the face; it was Jungkook.

"Why do you always have to surprise me with these creepy jumpscares?" I muttered under my breath after getting up.

"And may I ask why are you casually walking around when you should be resting? Shall I tuck you to bed?" He said with a smirk when he saw me blush. I was being extremely vulnerable in front of him, this had to stop.

"No need. I'll do it myself. By the way why didn't you come visit me earlier? I drifted to sleep waiting if you'd visit me. You are so late." I asked and he was suddenly taken aback. This wasn't exactly I had expected to meet him after the kiss I had shared with Tae.

"You waited for me? Now that's something new...." He whispered to himself. "What do you mean by that? I can hear you, you knowㅡ"

"I was looking for clues to find the assassin....behind this attack."

"Yeah we have to find him. Didn't that person recognize me that I'm the Seductress, even though I'm undercover for a mission?"

"You don't have to worry. I studied the neighborhood CCTVs and tracked the vehicle that was spotted leaving the scene. Turns out it was Sana who paid the shooter to kill you. I....I'm so sorry doll I couldn't protect you at that moment. I just couldn't figure out....." Jungkook said in a sorrowful tone, as if blaming himself over this carelessness.

"No Guk. Don't pity me please. I should've been more careful when I knew she she wanted me dead. I was distracted by the paparazzi. I have to take care of the assassin before he gets to know that he couldn't kill meㅡ"

I tried getting up from my bed again but this time Guk forcefully pushed me to lay down.

"You have been shot for goodness sake. And don't worry about the assassin, I have made sure he doesn't come back and hurt you again."

"How can you be so sure of this? What did you do, Raven?"

"Well, let's say I ensured he doesn't see the light again."

Jungkook's POV;

I tracked down the car which led me to a small cottage near the woods in the outskirts of Seoul. It had dark painted walls and I found the silhouette of a man smoking inside.

As soon as I entered the place, my jaw dropped. My old acquaintance, Yoon Oh stood there, looking directly into my eyes with a smug smile.

(A/N: if you probably don't remember, Yoon Oh was also Lisa's ex and I had explained about him in the very first chapter itself.)

"So it is you who did this." I said expressionless.

"I knew you would come looking here for me Jungkook. Long time, no see dear friend!" He exclaimed and I stood in disgust.

Yoon Oh and I have worked in many past missions together. He was a fuckboy and always played with all the female clients we had worked on, or worked with. Naturally, he was never serious about relationships until one day he said he had fallen for his partner at a government mission. Later due to some penalties he was abandoned from the MIO and that's how we lost contact.

"Didn't you say you loved Lali? And now you went on to kill her? How dare you, Yoon Oh." I clenched my fists in anger.

"Lali? Miss Seductress you mean. I must that she was one of the longest flings I had. But that bitch was the reason my career ended. She wasn't even suspended, while I was kicked out of the agency I had dedicated half of my life training for." He said, perplexed with what he did was right.

"And so for some cheap paycheck you went on to become a ruthless assassin, a contract killer? You bloody tried to murder your ex lover, how ridiculous is this."

"Ridiculous? What's more ridiculous us the fact that you acting like this. I can see it; you have feelings for her, don't you? As an old friend of yours I'm warning you, stay away from that woman as much as you can. She has been hiding the dark secrets of her past, she is no good for you."

"Do you know what she even went through?"

"Oh well do you? I have heard she is associated with Pledis...the most wanted dangerous mafia in the world. What's more to it, shes a Seductress, she can only put you in distress. She can never love you back the way you do. Don't waste you career for her, shes no worth yourㅡ"

"ENOUGH!" I roared. I pulled out my revolver in a swift motion and shot him right in his heart. He fell onto the ground, clenching his chest. He deserved to go to hell, if he was going to abuse my Lali for something she is not even guilty of.

End of Jungkook's POV.

Back to Lalisa's POV;

"Jungkook? What happened? Why aren't you answering me? You were saying something and you paused midway." I shoved Jungkook's shoulder a little and he suddenly came back to his senses.

"Nothing....just zoned out a bit. I was just asking you to not worry, he would never dare to come back at you anymore. I would wreck any person who tries to hurt you, even if it's a million times I would still strive to protect you, Lali." He started stroking my cheek.

"Uh....t-thank you Jungkook." I fell short for words. He had just released a thousand on butterflies in my stomach.

"We still aren't over with Sana's problem though. She won't stop here, if she gets to know you're fine then she'll hire another one to murder you. We have to get rid of her."

"No, I am not simply allowing that. Taehyung isn't still over her, if the news of her death circulates around, Taehyung will mentally and emotionally break down. I....I can't hurt him." I said, holding on to my heart.

"Lalisa, do you even realize how important this mission is for us? We can't do this without you so we have to protect you from everything and everyone at all times. And you are supported to only pretend to care for him. Why does it look like it's something more than just pretense?" Jungkook barfed, crossing his arms scrunching his brow.

"Jungkook, I seem to have genuine feelings for Taehyung. Yes, I do care about him, more than what the mission expects me too. There are many points indicating that he might be hiding something very big, but we can't just ignore that there are points that also add up to his innocence and kindness. If he really turns out to be the good guy, I will be guilty all my life knowing how much I've betrayed him. So in conclusion I just want to say that we can't let anything happen to Sana."

"She's a freaking crazy woman! If Taehyung was her target, would you still let her live?"

"No, ofcourse not. But you know, she can never harm him. She loves him and just wants him back." I explained pitifully.

"It sounds ironical for a woman like you who has never be in love speak like this."

"Don't you dare throw rhetorical comments at me Jungkook! I am aware of what I am doing. Stop obsessing over this will you!!" My blood was boiling that I was feeling nauseous again and the pain on my lower stomach started to affect again.

"But you're putting his life above yours and risking it all for him! He doesn't deserve this!!"

"I get to decide whatever he deserves, stop acting paranoid, please..." I tried to let those words out with great effort, I was feeling weak once again. Jungkook noticed the same too and sighed.

"I'm sorry Lisa....I just want you to be safe, I can't see you like this. I don't even know what we're arguing about, I'm just worried for you."

"Let's not discuss about it. And promise me you won't do anything to Sana."

"Really?!" He looked at me with a dejected stare and finally nodded. "Okay, I promise." He agreed in defeat.

"And where are my flowers? Isn't that some ritual of patients getting tons of flowers and chocolates?" I tried to make the atmosphere light as he chuckled.

"I'm planning to treat you a dinner after you get discharged. Also, I want a promise from your side too."

"Sure, what is it?"

"Lali....I want you to promise me that you will be staying at my apartment until you recover completely. After the media play, I convinced Sehun to let you stay with me until this matter dies down. I can be relieved if I see you doing well before my eyes. It's for your security, I can't see you getting hurt."

"Oh.....kay Jungkook. I will stay with you. Thank you so much for caring for me."

"Its nothing, really. It's my responsibility to ensure you're safe."

Jungkook tucked me to bed and whispered a goodnight into my ear which gave me a tingling sensation. He then pecked my lips, I was left dumbstruck at the sudden action. He left the room as I slowly drifted to a deep slumber.

The next morning:

I found a strange figure lurking outside my hospital room dressed in a nurse uniform. When she saw me waking up she immediately stepped into the room and I instantly recognized her.

"Oh, so who do we have here?"

"You're still alive? Surprising. I watched the news yesterday and the intensity of the bullet was so hard that most of them said you wouldn't survive." She said in a usual high pitched voice that I hated more than anything.

So I sarcastically mocked her,"Yeah much to your concern Sana-ssi, I unfortunately survived the shots. I hadn't expected you would stoop so low, tsk."

"You think I wanted to kill you!" She hysterically laughed. "Fuh...must be some saesang who knows Taehyung and I are destined and no one else should intrude between us."

"I never did say that, Sana-ssi. Are you trying to imply this to yourself? You don't seem to be happy about me being alive either."

"Ha, if you think so, then I bet you can't expose me."

She snapped her fingers in front of me and with a resting bitch face she warned, "Listen up, you got away this time. But miracles don't happen everytime Lisa-ssi. So take this as a warning. Stay away from Taehyung if you wish to live."

I laughed at her foolishness while she just gawked at me in shock.

"You're really trying to scare me? You seem more like a comedian! You're really one of those obsessed ex's. So it's you who should listen up: if you think I will be terrified by these childish warnings of yours, come up with a better comeback. I ain't dumb to get scared of a narrow minded woman like you."

"Y-you!!!" I had successfully pissed her off. I saw how her face reddened, her temper about to burst, but retaining it all she stomped off the room.

Only if you knew the ways I could expose you, Sana Minatozaki.
